DAY 2 OF THE MIDSUMMER FESTIVAL!!! [EVERYBODY.]
|

The weatherman that morning sounded smug. Beautiful, golden sunlight shone over the town and it's bustling Square. It was the second day of the festival, with its live music, competitions, and food. At five in the afternoon, it was starting to truly fill with people eager for a fun time.
The competitions for this day? Dancing and several contests designed to be both messy and somewhat embarrassing for the participants. A platform over a huge vat of pudding was being set up for the giant q-tip duellists and a few people were sitting around, making watermelon shells into large, unwieldy shoes. Nearby, a few girls were spraying whipped cream into pie tins.
Children ran underfoot, adults milled around or walked and took in the entertainment, ate food, talked. This was the best of summer- cool drinks, fresh fruit, contrasting with the residual heat of a waning day.
||For now, I will host this board without my characters involved. I have a few things to clear up before I let them in.||

Walking down the aisles and aisles of colorful stands filled with food, games and just overall fun things to do. The food, the hot dogs and cotton candy.
"Excuse me." He said as he weaved in and out of children running around like wild animals.
He wore a simple blue blouse and black jeans. Color, he was trying it and so far, a navy blue was as close as he got. His head jerked over to some music that was playing as he now was looking for that dashing woman who said she will be here. And where was she?

Olivia gave herself one last look over before heading out. She had let her hair down tonight doing nothing to it and just letting the natural waves do whatever they pleased, she wore a plain white t-shirt and a black pleated skirt that stopped just above the knee. Checking her clock she realized she was late. “Shoot” she muttered as she quickly slipped into black ballet flats, grabbed a black sweater and headed out the door.
She quickly walked down to the festival and once she arrived she stopped to look around. It was a mad house, adults, children, teenagers they were everywhere. A lot of them were classmates of hers. Holding her head high she walked through the crowd purposefully looking for the one person who could make her smile. Finally she spotted him, grinning she snuck up behind him and whispered into his ear “I believe you were expecting me.”

He stopped to look around for her and still no sign. As he was about to turn around and go look for her at school, he heard a very sweet voice. The voice of the one has been waiting for.
"I think you may be leading into some trouble." He said as he turned and faced her.
He looked at her and smiled as he noticed she was in a skirt. He never saw her legs..other than that time at the lake but he had to smile at seeing her in a skirt. Leaning in and kissing her lips, he smiled.
"Good day my sweet." He said, that smile still on his face.

Olivia grinned and kissed him back “Actually its more like good afternoon” she said, noticing he was wearing color she smiled “I like your shirt, a nice change from black and white” she said linking her arm through his they began to walk. “Wow, there’s so much going on here its hard to keep track of it all” she said looking at everything they passed. People dancing and laughing and eating; vendors selling food and anything you could imagine. Seeing the platform of pudding she stopped “What in the world could that be for?” she asked more to herself than anything but still said it out loud.

His eyes gazed to the pudding and he only smirked. "The boy in me says a bikini wrestle mania but the boy in me says...bikini wrestle mania.."He said as more of a joke but that was the first thing he thought of when he saw that.
He brought her closer and kissed her on the forehead. He was happy. Looking around to everyone that was having fun, they blended in.
This moment, he never thought he could achieve. Standing here with the love of his life. And for the first time...having fun.

Olivia looked at him both eyebrows raised trying not to laugh “bravo” she said as they continued to walk. She had a constant smile on her face; they weren’t getting weird looks or getting rude comments yelled at them. It was just them, out together where nobody cared who they were or what they were like. “So, how was your night last night?” she asked him as they passed an outside restaurant with a dance floor where already there where a lot of people. You could feel the excitement and liveliness of everybody at the festival. They were just here to have a good time.

"Lonely." He said as he noticed her gaze in at the dance floor and he only laughed a little. He felt that he was going to be forced to dance.
"I am always lonely when I have to say goodbye to you." He said and kissed her head.
"What do you want to do first?" He asked and looked around. There was a lot of things to do. Dance, play games, eat...games...dance...

Olivia tore her gaze away from the dance floor to look at him and smile “Um, well are you hungry?” she asked only half heartedly because she knew what she wanted to do but he probably didn’t and she would only do it if he wanted to. However she was hungry and the smell of food coming from all around was making her even hungrier than she already was.

"Well I am in the mood for two hot dogs rolled in ketchup, mustard and relish. A large cotton candy and a x-large root beer." He said as he laughed and looked at her. "How about you." He said and could not help but pick her up.
He loved holding her close, picking her up and just being with her. And it seemed, he could sense her hunger so it will be unmanly of him to let his girl go hungry.

Olivia listened to him wordless and trying not to laugh “Wow, you must be pretty hungry” she said smiling and giggled when he picked her up. Giving him a quick peck on the cheek she sighed “Well, I have no idea what I want, all I know is that I want food” she said nodding in confirmation as she looked around at all the different food being sold.

After an odd night, and a nice sleep of her own, Amy had a bit of a decision on her hands. What was she going to wear? She was going to be in a dance contest today, but that didn't help her decision. She wanted it to be something casual, yet something that would make her look good. No, scratch that. She wanted to look better than good. The best idea she had was to borrow one of Clara's dresses.
It took her a while to do that, too. Many of them were darker colors, something Amorina didn't want today. There was one that stood up slightly. When she tried it on, it fit her better than the other dresses had, tugging gently at her torso but flowing freely down to her knees. It was a soft shade of red, cut at odd angles at the bottom with a softer red underneath as a slip. Small speghetti straps lay gently on her shoulders, easily keeping the dress up. Well, that settled it. Amy had fallen in love all over again, this time with a dress.
Shoes were going to be hard... A small pair of white, open-toed flats would do it. She didn't need to be so tall today. After chatting with Clara, hearing about Clara's new boyfriend business, congratulating her and thanking her for the dress, Amy decided it was time to head down. She hadn't done much with her hair other than curl it slightly more than it naturally was, and opted for just mascara for make-up. Why bother with so much?
Amy got down towards the festival and realized she wasn't exactly sure where she should go. Then she remembered it. There was a large thing of pudding around here somewhere... Ah, there it was! With her strut, it didn't take her long to get there. She just wished she knew where the rest of her group was.

They were heading on over, after a late start when Emilio and Caroline had been having a disagreement about Hector. Caroline was stubborn about his not being a bad guy (her reasoning was sound enough, Emilio supposed, but he hated the way she kept repeating that her luck couldn't possibly be so bad that she could not find a sane guy). Emilio had thought that the Tobias person seemed alright... just a little rough around the edges.
Not like Hector at all.
Hector, meanwhile, had met them at the edge of the festival, a change of clothes under his arm. "Just in case," he explained with a laugh when Caroline asked, "I don't meet expectations." He nodded toward the vat.
Emilio was scowling, but neither his sister nor Hector seemed to notice. They were busy chatting about everything, yet nothing. It was unimportant and lighthearted, but it did absolutely nothing to alleviate Emilio's preoccupation.
What did make him put a better face on things was the sight of Amy next to the giant container of pudding. She looked great in that red dress... but then, Emilio thought she was attractive even in her pajamas last night. And he was so grateful for her help... that had been one of the easiest nights he'd had in a while. Thanks to her, he felt ready to dance and full of energy.
His clothes didn't clash with hers, at least. He was wearing a black shirt with a thin weave and a cut that was similar to the loose cut of yesterday's shirt. It was made to accentuate his lean form without weighing him down. It would also emphasize his movements when he danced. The black trousers were a shade darker, but also light in fabric so they wouldn't weigh him down.
The three made their way over, joined by Nikolai, who Caroline suspected was afraid of color. He was wearing stonewashed jeans and another black t-shirt. Caroline herself wore a knee-length tube-top dress of a sky-blue color. But there was no need to judge- he was a nice-enough fellow.
Emilio separated himself and rushed forward to greet Amy before the others. "Hola!" He gave her a quick hug and kissed her on the cheek. "I thank you...otra vez for the help last night."
The others walked up. Hector nodded politely, Caroline smiled and said, "I love your dress, Amy.", and Nikolai only looked distracted by something.

She had been watching people set up the pudding-ness for one of the contests set up for the day when she heard that familiar voice. It sent shivers up her spine and made her wanna jump for joy. Amy returned his hug eagerly, glad to see him again. Hopefully tonight would go as great as last night, if not better. She didn't want anything to ruin this weekend for her. So far so good, though.
"De nada. It was no problem." It had made her feel better, that was definite. She felt like she was finally helpful to somebody, and he hadn't been scared when she took away his power. He had been, like he said, grateful. It just made her happier.
Amy smiled at Caroline and the other two. "Thanks, it's actually my cousin's." She shrugged. "Everything else was too flashy. I do think I like yours better though. I think it's a prettier color than mine." She had noticed the odd tension in the air, but merely blew it off. Today wasn't the day to be upset and mad.
Taking Emilio's hand in hers, she smiled at the group. "Well, what's the plan for today then?"

Emilio grinned as she grabbed his hand and said, "Dancing!"
Hector nodded, but added, "I have this contest in about an hour and a half." He gestured at the vat of pudding.
Nikolai muttered, "Hot dog eating in ten minutes."
Caroline said only, "Ask your cousin where she shops for me, 'kay?"
Hector asked Nikolai, sceptically, "You don't look like the hot-dog eating contest type. How many do you think you can eat?"
Nikolai closed his eyes and thought for a moment, then said vacantly, "Fifty-five at the moment, fifty-seven if I wish to make myself sick."
Hector raised his eyebrows. "Wow... isn't the world record around sixty?"
Nikolai shrugged nonchalantly and turned his attention to a stand selling wind chimes.
Caroline shook her head. She could have sworn that the boy's eyes had just now flashed a fiery red-gold color...
||Ugh... sorry, not at my best today...||
