Filming at Foresta: Take Two
Due to inherent flaws in an 80’s Reference Production’s last feature length movie has been scrapped, but like a phoenix a new project has arisen from the ashes of the old. That’s right, its take two time and I assure you this one will be sought through until the end (so long as half of the crew doesn’t disappear on me yet again). As before, I, Sandra Petric shall be taking the director’s (no joke, accidentally almost wrote dictator) and further details will be posted below if any of you give a rat’s ass. As before, don’t expect this to be a Hollywood sweet heart or anything because otherwise you will be incredibly disappointed with what we here at Foresta can do with a zero dollar budget.
About the Movie Considering that I still have some leftover footage from the last project and a rather expensive Sasquatch suit lying around my room, the beast still has a heavy impact on the story. To make the story brief though, it is basically Sasquatch and a Ninja teaming up together to fight Nazi scientists that have invaded his home turf. If that doesn’t interest you, I don’t know what will. About the Production Filming will start after the audition process is finished. While half of the movie takes place in an outdoor environment, we can get a ton of the interior shots and indoor fight scenes filmed with ease. Once summer comes around we’ll move on to the filming the rest of that stuff and I will contact everyone involved when that time comes around. I will always keep you up to date on the locations of shoots if you are involved in. You will not be paid in money, but if you are signed up with the Film Club then you will receive free pizza. About the Casting If you are interested in taking a role for this project, contact me directly or leave your name and contact information in the space provided below. Audition sessions will begin at a date that I will announce. When auditioning for a main role please specify which you will be taking, otherwise the rest of the crew and I will chose what part best suits you. If you do not like what role we give you we can be flexible and give you a new one. In addition to that, be sure to read over your role and their place in the story, if something about your part makes you uncomfortable please notify me before we start shooting. I don’t know how much more I can emphasis that point without swearing. You will be receiving the same compensation as the production crew and I’ll see about getting you extra credit if you are part of the Theatre Club or Class. Contact Info Room: #374 Phone: 608-272-4621 | Positions for Crew I’ll be handling most of the stuff behind the scenes, but I could use the following: -Assistant make-up artist (will make my job a little bit easier, but not needed) -Assistant director (to wrangle up the actors and what not) -Secondary cameraman (self-explanatory, must know how to operate a camera) -Stage hands/set designers (To set up and reset scenes) The Cast -Ninja (can be of either gender, script is malleable) -Sasquatch himself (again, either gender since you’ll be in a costume, being tall is most important part) -Comedic Relief (pretty much paying sidekick to Ninja, any gender) -Nazi General (not quite Hitler, but close) -Ubermensch Soldier (if you naturally look terrifying that’s a plus) -Extras (I will specify what you’ll be doing during auditions, but don’t expect anything big) What to expect as an actor The Film Club will be holding a marathon of Sasquatch and Godfrey Ho films to give you a bit of a taste of what the tone of the film will be going for. You can show up if you want, but it is not required. There won’t be any overtly sexual scenes this time around, so there’s nothing to worry about, but if Nazis offend you (why have you read this far?), just remember that this is not something that is celebrating them, they are the villains of the movie. It is all in good fun. Side note though, the script will have notifications on scenes that will require you to get dirtied or bloodied, so remember to wear clothes that you won’t mind getting destroyed. That being said, make sure you are wearing the same clothes that you wore in previous scenes unless a significant amount of time has passed in the script. Basically, don’t show up in some billion dollar suit for any scene unless your character does not engage in anything dangerous. |
