Leo was really hoping her timings were okay. She hadn’t heard of any groups practicing at that time, so she presumed the auditorium would be free then. And really, she had her fingers crossed on this. She’d figured that having auditions would probably put people off her idea; and she had no idea how to judge people for it fairly anyway. Maybe for the first week she could just spend a session scoping out anyone’s strengths. That seemed like a good plan. Leo had gotten the idea from Glee so she may as well take inspiration even afterwards in just letting people choose what they wanted to work on. She was sure that was fair.
Her posters were really just A4 sheets with some fancy text design and a silhouetted picture of some people dancing. She wasn’t too skilled at designing things properly, but it got the point across and hadn’t cost her too much effort.
Leo had grabbed a flask and some coffee, and was using her morning break now to stick up the sheets of paper, using a sell-o-tape dispenser (with a piece of tape at each of the corners, leaving the paper at as close as she could to a 135 degree angle). The paper, the dispenser, and the flask were all held in a small rucksack she had slung over her left shoulder.
She had four of them left, and now she was in the entrance hall, sticking up another few. It was a large space, so there should be plenty of room for them.
There was a lump in her throat- nerves- thanks to this. It was pretty typical actually, not getting stage-fright, but as soon as she was expecting to get a leader-ship role she could feel butterflies and got jittery. At least she wasn’t the sort to take all the posters back off the walls.
She chose one spot, near to a window, and stuck up another poster. She placed the others onto the windowsill briefly to take some coffee from her flask.
Leo would have considered putting some of the posters outside, but, frankly, today it was too wet and cold for anything to remain legible outdoors.
