Caroline groaned loudly and turned to where her forehead was almost touching his, "I said I'm sorry okay?" she said to him feeling very beat down by all of this. It was so annoying that he was even able to make her apologize for anything in the first place. What was the big deal anyway? She insulted him, so what... he should get over it and not do something as ridiculous as this. Again, she was too stubborn to admit to herself that she was actually liking being in his arms. Whatever, he was ugly anyways.

“See, don’t you feel better now?” he joked, still not letting her go. Noticing that the little fight she put up earlier had tired her out, Cade gently dropped her onto the floor. “Are you anorexic, or something?” he asked, not caring whether or not that question offender her in anyway. “You need food,” he pointed out, squatting down in front of her and poking her in the ribs.

The moment she was dropped to the ground, Caroline took that as her chance to run away... but there he went again... still... trying... to... talk... to... her. "No! I'm not!" she said sounding horrified, as he poked her she swatted his hand away. "You're not allowed to come near me anymore," she said angrily "that includes right now." Putting her palm against his forehead while he was still kneeling down, Caroline pushed him in hopes that he would atleast fall back.

Cade didn’t even move when she pushed his forehead. “That’s a little pathetic,” he murmured, sitting down in front of her. “Why?” he asked when she said he couldn’t come near her. “Am I in your bubble?” he gasped, poking her in the stomach. “You have issues,” he added with a quick laugh, unable to resist the urge to poke her again. This was just too amusing.

"You're pathetic," she shot back. "Yes, yes you are now get away," she said this again now using both of her hands to push him while putting all of her strength into it. "I don't have issues, you have issues... always bothering me," she griped. Resisting the urge to slap or punch him, Caroline suddenly jumped back and away from him. Not even giving him a chance to react, Caroline laughed as the lake behind him suddenly became like a wave and fell over him. The water though, when it got to Caroline just suddenly stopped and went back to the lake. She made sure Cade was soaked though, for apparent reasons of course.
Taking this chance finally to run away since he would be preoccupied with the lake practically falling on him, Caroline started in a quick run toward the forest. Of course she wasn't that strong, but for the bare fact that she was small made her all the more faster.

Again, Cade wasn’t one to be on the alert 24/7, and when he saw a long, dark shadow rise behind him, he had only a slight idea on what was going to happen. Surprisingly, he’d expected what had happened, and wasn’t all that shocked when he was attacked by a large, powerful wave. The impact flung him to the ground, and as the water receded back into the lake, he was dragged along with it. This time though, he managed to get out a little quicker, and he saw a final glimpse of her body before she disappeared into the water.
Well, Cade thought, two could play at that game, and with that simple thought, he sprinted off after her, running deeper and deeper into the forest. Considering Cade was a big fan of fitness and what not, catching up to her wasn’t that difficult, and with another quick burst of energy, he leaped into the air, landing gracefully while swinging his arms up above his head, and just as he did this, a large slab of earth rose from the ground about 10 feet away from Caroline. The barrier itself ran for a bout 5 miles, and reached a good height of about 25 feet. Satisfied with his work, Cade ran a hand through his hair and waited patiently for Caro’s response.

Caroline almost laughed as she saw what was up ahead of her, oh it was challenges like this that she loved the best! Taking the moisuture from the earth she slowly rose to the top of the barrier (thanks to the water) that he had made and then started to run across it. There was no way in hell he was going to catch her, she was sick of him already anyways. Despite the fact she never exercised that much, she still knew how to pace herself and yet still be fast.

An exasperated and incredibly annoyed sigh escaped the lips of the earth elemental. Running, drowning, running again all hopes in catching an annoying, self righteous girl seemed to make less and less sense as Cade stopped to catch his breath. Searching for a reason on continuing this annoying chase failed to pop up, and so, Cade gave up. It wasn’t something he did too often, but in this case, it seemed okay to do so. Sauntering over beneath a tree, he settled down under the shade and closed his eyes.

As she finally reached the end of the barrier, Caroline paused and looked behind her seeming momentarily confused. He wasn't chasing her? That was surprising. Trying to process this for a moment she frowned. Of course right at this moment Caroline could have taken this chance to just walk away and never talk to Cade again- but of course... Curiousity killed the cat.
Making her way back toward Cade it only took her a moment to find that he was resting by a tree. Now even more confused she leaned over him to examine his face to see if he hadn't died or anything. Being careless of course, Caroline wasn't really thinking about the fact that he was most like still awake and would open his eyes at any second. Instead she just seemed to stare at him for a few seconds. The forest was completely silent, and Caroline seemed to have stopped breathing for a moment. Then all of a suddenly, time caught up with her and a loud screech echoed somewhere near them. Nearly jumping out of her skin, Caroline ended up screaming in surprise and trying to move away so fast that she ended up falling over him instead.

You know that feeling you get when someone’s watching you? Yeah, Cade was feeling that…very strongly. He knew something—or someone—was watching him, but why waste the energy opening his eyes, seeing whatever the heck it was—really, it could be an animal, a serial killer, or an innocent person—maybe being so surprised he’d give himself a heart attack, and then dying. Sure, it was very unlikely, but the risk was still there, so he chose not to do anything, just sit there, perfectly calm and relaxed, the forest quite and still…and then a gigantic screech assaulting his ears.
Shock forced every sense into overdrive, and Cade was about to shoot up onto his feet…until something fell on him. He was about to simply throw whoever/whatever it was off of him until he saw the face of said “thing” and rolled his eyes. “You know,” he told her, resting his head against the tree, “you’re kind of sending mixed signals,” he teased, grinning down at her.

At his lazy kind of manner, Caroline become increasingly annoyed. Pushing herself up a little bit she had both of her hands on one of his legs, one hand on his thigh and the other on the lower part of his leg. She dug her nails as hard as she could into his leg, and she knew that it should cause some kind of reaction from him mainly because her nails were indeed pretty sharp. "You're stupid, obnoxious and don't deserve to be in my presence," she stated matter of factly "how's that for mixed singles?" she then said to him trying to give him the most evil glare she could possibly do.

Cade winced, biting the inside of his cheek. Wrapping his hands around her wrists, he pried her hands away from his leg, holding them against her sides with an iron grip. “First of all, I didn’t put myself ‘in your presence,’ in case you forgot, you came over here, and I’m not the stupid one who falls on top of other people, so why don’t you get off your fucking high horse and leave me alone,” he finished calmly, his tone surprisingly level and controlled. Letting her hands go, he slid out from underneath her and stood up, dusting himself off. “And please, try to control yourself, just because I’m not giving you what you want doesn’t mean you have to hurt me,” he finished coyly, with a large, mischievous grin.

"GAH!" Caroline screamed at his grin, that frustrating, annoying, stupid, selfish, no good...
Getting up she walked over to him and promptly slapped him. Caroline then stormed away having nothing else to say. Why had she even walked back to him in the first place? She had been a freaking idiot, that's for sure.
