The seemingly bodiless light did as Cade had commanded its user to and pointed toward a path for the two of them to get through in order for them to meet up. It would’ve seemed easier if the person with the light came to them and walked them through instead, but the restaurant seemed to love to boast its poor customer service. Even with the small amount of light given to them, it didn’t quite make their journey a simple stroll through the park. Chairs weren’t pushed in properly, a few stray ones managed to jut at his lower regions plenty of times, the patterns of tables were nonsensical and were placed randomly around the room like they got inspiration from a child’s deranged mind.
Of course it wasn’t complete without Jenna bumping into him. He too was a bit caught off guard by his winged companion’s misstep. He wrangled his arm around the woman’s figure very stealthily in response. “That’s fine, we’ll just go through the motions together. It’ll make it easier on both of us” he stated as he wrung the girl’s body closer to his. He needed very little excuses to want his body closer to hers. His crisp and wholesome smile not quite being visible enough for her to see.
It took very little time for Cade to guide their two bodies through the very dimly lit path through the maze of tables and stray chairs. Through the hustle and bustle he was certain he knocked over a table or two, but the way he saw it whomever decided that a scattered layout was a good idea was the person at fault.
On their way over, their waitress was explaining to them everything that went wrong. The blizzard outside had built up so much snow at their front door that there was no time to clear it out before they got trapped inside and the violent winds mixed with the freely falling pelts of snow caused a power outage for most of the surrounding area. He wasn’t sure why, but Cade felt a lot of incompetence was also behind their reasoning.

Jenna was taking her time adjusting to the lack of light when Cade move in a manner that allowed him to wrap his arm around her. The action amused the sylph just a bit since he had managed to avoid running his arm into her wings. "Very well then," she said to him in an even tone. As they walked at the occasional table Jenna found herself stopping to fix any chairs her wings might have run into. The tables though seemed a bit too much effort on her part and instead Jenna decided to ignore them for now since Cade didn't seem that all concerned about them either.
As they finally got over to the waitress, Jenna pursed her lips at the explanation and then turned back to Cade. "I guess we'll just wait out her for a bit to see if anything gets fixed soon," she said to him in a slightly optimistic manner moving to sit in a booth very close to them. Part of Jenna knew that it was unlikely that there would be anyone going out in this snow anytime soon and at some point she would have to fix the problem herself. Until then Jenna argued with herself that it was nice not having to be on a schedule due to the snow in.

Their waitress was quick to return to the back room seemingly to help out whoever else was back there. No doubt her flashlight was needed elsewhere given that there was probably few in supply. Which just left Jenna and Cade alone in the dark once again, though this time they at least knew there were people in the other room over. Well, there were definitely worse things he could be doing on a chilly afternoon, he could be stuck listening to more of his students’ problems.
Cade heard Jenna’s movements and the sound of her body scrunching against the fabric of the seats suggested that she had found somewhere to sit. He had a general sense of which way the source of the noise came from, so he followed it and sort of mimed around until he felt the soft and smooth fabric of the cushion. He set himself correctly in the stall trying to make sure that he wasn’t in the way of anything. Incidentally, he was quick to learn that he had chosen the same side of the stall as Jenna only feeling her feathers after leaning back.
“Well, I guess we could twiddle our thumbs until they figure out a solution or…” he suggested as he placed his hand on her lap. “We could find other things to occupy our time” his suggestive look toward her was quite useless considering neither of them could even see it, but it became a force of habit for his facial expressions to match his tones. He wasn’t sure what they could do considering sight wasn’t on their side and would probably makes things more awkward than anything else.

Jenna was drifting off into her own world once more when she suddenly felt Cade's weight against her wings, it caused her to wince for a just a second out of habit but after waiting just a while longer the sylph got used to the weight. The sensation was similar to that of a person laying on her arm. As Cade spoke and placed his hand on her lap, Jenna blushed deeply and turned slightly to face Cade. It was upon doing so that Jenna slowly started to feel a chill despite the somewhat warm clothing she was wearing. "I'm pretty sure the owner would not appreciate us doing what I think you might be suggesting," Jenna said to the teacher in a soft tone. Without realizing it Jenna was scooting closer to Cade, after all the man was radiating just a bit more body heat than she was. "Unless we're thinking two completely different things right now."

It was strange, but Cade could sort of sense the positioning of Jenna’s face when her head twisted toward him. The way her voice sounded gave him a clue, but he was mostly assuming she was facing him. Cade couldn’t help but to inwardly laugh at Jenna’s response, there were people in the other room that were plainly aware of their location. Sure they might not be able to see anything at first, but they had at least one flashlight on them. Still though, Cade wasn’t against the idea considering the rush and the additional thrill of knowing they could be caught at any moment, but overall it wasn’t the best choice to make given the circumstances, not being able to see was a big contender.
“Yeah, no, I was thinking a quick game of Tiddliwinks. You’re the one with the dirty mind” he answered with blatant sarcasm. “Though my way of playing may be a bit different from the normal way, so I’ll give you a brief rundown of the rules.” Cade’s hand quickly slithered away from her lap and around her body until he felt the squishy flesh that was her side. He pulled her even closer regardless of their short distance from each other and had another go at her lips, hopefully this time around there wasn’t going to be any interruptions or ridiculous reactions afterward. A simple kiss he could get from many a woman, but from Jenna it was more difficult than the actual game of Tiddliwinks.

"Oh, really?" Jenna retorted making a noise of amusement. "Go on then," she then said as Cade wrapped his arm around her once more. At the angle he pulled her close though, Jenna quickly adjusted so that her legs were laying over his. It wasn't too difficult to maneuver and it made the position they were in a lot more comfortable for her. It was then that she felt Cade closing the distance between them, in the next few seconds their lips connecting quite easily. This time around the sylph found herself giving into the kiss much easier than she had before. Leaning into Cade the woman wrapped one slender arm around her companion's shoulders, while with the other she laid her hand gently on the side of his neck.
The kiss itself only lasted for about a minute before Jenna pulled away with a breathy sigh, touching her forehead to Cade's. As she did so one of Jenna's wings stretched out and shivered slightly, although the action was mostly like less noticeable thanks to the darkness surrounding them. Feeling the urge strike her, Jenna moved her arms under Cade's as she rested her forehead against his making it so that her palms laid flat against the upper part of his back. The position itself did end up becoming a little bit awkward and the woman ended up making a frustrated noise before moving her hands back to lay her palms against Cade's chest. "I guess kissing is the only rule then?"

As Jenna shifted her body to completely encase him with it, Cade felt a variety of chills and goose bumps growing at an alarming rate, it was the good kind though. Sure it restricted him from moving too much, but to be fair he had no plans to just up and walk away any time in the near future. After their faces’ moment of togetherness, he leaned his head back on the cushion of the seat’s backrest. A look of satisfaction being a strong understatement of his actual feelings.
He shrugged silently to Jenna’s question. “Eh, I like to make up the rules as I go along. I never said I played it well” he joked once more. He scratched his frizzled beard hairs with his only free hand. “My other rules may not be very public appropriate, but if you’re interested we could probably find a way to escape and go back to your place. Oh, wait you live with that old guy don’t you, hrm my place instead then?” he suggested as he switched his view back to the woman who was softly nuzzled on his chest.

Just as the sylph was making herself comfortable, Cade made mention of the tavern owner that caused Jenna to jump up in surprise. "I have to go check on him!" the fairy exclaimed suddenly. At her jumping up though, Jenna fell back down due to the small space in the booth - causing her to knock heads with Cade while her wings flailed about like a bird who couldn't fly. This only lasted for a few seconds until Jenna managed to find her way out of the booth. "I'm sorry, we'll have to come back to this. That old man is probably gonna chew me out for leaving him alone with all the snow." It was a strange sort of thing for Jenna to say, considering she was the older and technically wiser one.
Making her way over to the front of the restaurant, Jenna whipped open one of the doors with an amazing amount of flourish. What she was faced with instead was a wall of snow. Taking a deep breath Jenna started to move her wings making it so that there was a sudden change of speed in the air around her. All within a few minutes Jenna created a wind tunnel in her hands and directed it at the wall of snow. This pushed the snow away in a surprisingly quick manner and as an exit was made for her Jenna turned back quickly to wave at Cade before flying out.
