Jenna stayed quiet as Cade discussed more of his past with her. "I wonder what it's like to have parents," she commented idly as Cade stated how he felt about his father. "If you say he wasn't bad though, I will believe you." Jenna suspected that she was most likely on the opposite side of the earth when all of these things were happening. The sylph had managed to satisfy her interest in crime long before America had been colonized, even if she wanted to get back into anything now she assumed her ditzy personality during this life would get her into a lot more trouble then she would want to have.
Noticing a waitress walking by, Jenna waved the young girl down. Telling her what she wanted to eat once she arrived at the table, as well asking for a glass of water. Outside it appeared as if the snow was getting quite a bit heavier and Jenna was a bit thankful that she didn't have to bother with using a car on this island. Glancing back at Cade as the waitress asked him what he would like to order, Jenna felt her heart hesitate for a moment. It was a sensation similar to skipping a beat, but the feeling put a lot more emphasis on regretting her emotions then enjoying them. "Last time, you said something about needing angel wings." Jenna briefly commented, the memory of their kiss coming to a forefront in her mind.

In some respects, Cade shared a similar curiosity with Jenna. He sometimes wondered how different life would have been like if he had grown with his true parents, if things played out as they were originally intended. He wasn’t even sure who had named him, was it his acting father or his biological parents? Where did he even live before he was apprehended by the Lesang gang? Sometimes he felt it best to not be too curious about the questions, he had a long way to go before he could even get near the answers, if he was going to get them at all. Still though, his brain buzzed for the answer, which was probably unintentionally the woman’s fault.
“Well, he never had bad intentions toward me. The poor bastards that messed with him though, I can’t speak on their behalf” he chuckled lightly.
Cade stroked his prickly chin as he waited for Jenna to end her order so that he could place his own. He too asked for water, didn’t feel like drinking since he’d done so on every other occasion he met with the fairy. He wanted to be sober for once and as well didn’t want to come off as an alcoholic that drank every chance he could. With the waitress’s leave, Jenna returned to her questions.
He inwardly laughed as she brought back the memory of his desperate attempt to stop her from leaving. He had to admit, it wasn’t his best work since he didn’t stop her, but at that point unless he was able to convince that fire was falling from the sky there was no stopping her. “We all get caught up in the moment sometimes. Doesn’t make it untrue mind you. Look, everybody’s got baggage, the way I see it we all need that somebody to make us forget about it” he nodded at the winged woman. “In that moment, I chose you. Wouldn’t say it was my worse decision” he spoke with a brief wink.

Jenna smiled naturally as Cade chuckled, the nostalgia that the man had made Jenna just a bit envious. Sometimes the sylph thought that it would be easier to appreciate events in her life if she had only one life to live. At his response to her, Jenna reached out to hold onto one of Cade's hands - letting her fingertips smooth over his knuckles. "You say that moment as if it was a one time thing," Jenna said to him - her expression holding a mixture of emotions. As he winked at her as well, Jenna's heart skipped a beat - the sensation causing her to look breathless for a moment which was indeed a foreign thing to a fairy who spent her life in air.
Taking a deep breath finally while letting out quite a significant sigh, Jenna then shook her head at the man before her. She couldn't quite understand why he was making her feel like, what was the term? 'A schoolgirl'. From what she had heard from humans, blushing and feeling nervous around a person was something more associated with the younger generations. As she thought about these things though, Jenna continued on with stroking Cade's knuckles - the action becoming almost mindless after awhile.

Cade quickly grew a grin so smooth it put silk to shame. His charming change in countenance triggered by the signs Jenna so blatantly put out; the sudden loss of breath, check, the urge to reach out for him, check, and the look of deep thought in her eyes, most definitely. Her spark for him was still flaring, all that was left for him to do was to trigger it just the right way and she’d be putty in his hands or so he hoped. Though her reply gave him some wiggle room for just the right words, he just needed to figure out what they were.
He allowed the woman’s hand to caress over his own as it soothed his thoughts, allowing him a lot of free roam around his sentence structure. “Oh, hardly a onetime thing. I’m just saying at that moment in time it was most amplified. A feeling of desperation, if you will. Seeing you flying out the window the way you did, I can honestly say it was the most fear I’ve ever felt in my life. A guy with a gat, sure he can shoot through my heart all he wants, but he could never break it as badly as the mere thought that I would never see either your angelic wings or face again.” he rambled, his heart beating faster than the last time he was on crack.
Cade gently placed his other hand over hers and leaned in a lot closer. “I said that you weren’t my worst decision, but…” he paused for a moment, his orange-golden eyes digging deeper into her oceanic deep blues. “À vrai dire, vous êtes facilement la meilleure décision que j’ai jamais fait*” he spoke in his tranquilizing French accent. If Jenna knew any French at all, that would be a plus, but often times he’s been able to enchant women who don’t even understand what he’s saying. Often times, it was an easy conversation point where he and his woman would go back and forth about what words were what in French.
(OOC:*Truth be told, you are easily the best decision I've ever made)

The change in Cade's expression albeit caught Jenna quite off guard. She knew that she had been putting in little signs here and there, but she hadn't realized that he would notice it so suddenly - much less react just as quickly. As all of this started to happen, Jenna started to feel her heart beat speed up - something that normally she was not all that accustomed with.
"You are so much more charming then you realize," Jenna said to Cade suddenly as her cheeks slowly began to grow more and more heated by the second. As he leaned in closer to close the distance between the two of them, the sylph couldn't help but smirk at the man. The delivery of his French was almost flawless and took Jenna a few minutes to remember her French to really process what he had said. As she did remember though, Jenna's smile grew wider and she reached forward gently to touch Cade's face. "Je parie que vous dites toutes les femmes qui*" she replied quietly, making her words seem more like compliment than anything else.

Jenna’s reaction was all Cade need to see, it was clear to him that his charm was getting him somewhere which was more often the case than not. He continued a warm grin revealing a bit of his sleek bright teeth. The teacher let out a low toned hearty laugh at Jenna’s comment. “If that were true, I’d be able to end wars with charm alone” he jested with a hint of arrogance in his grin.
Cade was a bit surprised to hear Jenna’s next statement to be relayed in French. He should have expected as much, with someone whom had lived as long as she had said she would undoubtedly know more languages than just English. He wasn’t disappointed by the revelation, in fact that meant they could have more private talks without much fear of someone else intruding. Really, how many people on this tiny island just so happened to know how to speak French? Although, one down side was he couldn’t get away with speaking French gibberish to impress her, but if one was so impressed by such a minor ability would they be worth pursuing anyway?
“Je pourrais, mais sa signification serait creux à quelqu'un d'autre*” Cade matched her quiet tones, but his voice bellowed a bit more due to the difference in his lower tones. He nuzzled his check on the angelic woman’s palm, letting his face fuzz coarse gently onto her skin. “Vous suscité ma curiosité, combien douce est votre visage que vos mains?**” soothingly spoke as he leaned in even closer with full intention to meet his face with hers.
(OOC: *I could, but its meaning would be hollow to anyone else **You sparked my curiosity, how much smoother is your face than your hands?)

It had been quite awhile since Jenna could remember being tempted so easily. Of course the sylph had experienced quite a few people in her life time, but it seemed that the longer she was on this earth it grew more difficult for her to resist all the things that mortal men offered her. As Cade rubbed his cheek into her palm, the woman's smile turned to a much more seducing sort of expression. As he drew closer to her though, the sylph briefly looked away from him - seeming to hesitate for a moment before turning her eyes back onto him. "*Pourquoi ne trouvez-vous pas?" she asked him with a devilishly quirked brow.
Moving her hand from his face down to his collar, Jenna started to pull Cade in with all intention of having their lips meet. This action seemed to be almost successful all the way up until a point that a soft coughing could be heard just a foot away from the couple. Stopping suddenly, Jenna realized that she was almost standing up in attempt to kiss Cade - as well their waitress had finally arrive with the food that they had ordered.
Quickly seating herself and allowing the woman do to her job, Jenna chewed on her lip in a coy manner as she glanced at Cade. "Vous ne devriez pas me tenter comme ça en public," she said to the man with a slightly embarrassed look on her face. As the waitress finished setting the food down on their table, she quickly scurried off - having caught the vibe before she had even arrived.
[OOC; Why don't you find out? You shouldn't tempt me like this in public.]

When he felt Jenna tug on his collar, for that mere moment everything seemed right in Cade’s own little world. All he had to do was wait for their lips to meet once more, though he was slightly wrong on that account. The lack of contact alerted Cade for a moment and he turned his head to see their waitress uncomfortably waiting to do her job. He had to admit though, he was expecting a much worse person standing in her place, one of their bosses for example. Seeing that he wasn’t properly seated anymore, he quickly remedied that and began to fix his collar.
Cade mentally face palmed, he was so close and this time around it didn’t seem like she was going to run away afterwards. His jaw clamped down, though he avoided altering his silkily smirk. He watched the table setter in begrudgingly, he certainly wasn’t going to give her a good tip. As she left though, Cade continued to converse. “I should eat here more often, that was the fastest service I’ve ever had*” he commented as he reached for his fork.
“I’d doubt that was the first time she’d ever walked in on a moment, don’t worry*” he tried to comfort her humility. “What do you suggest then? My place or yours?*” he leaned in with a seductively raised brow. In that moment though he noticed something in the corner of his eye. His mind relayed that what he saw couldn’t have been true, so he had to spin his entire head around to investigate further. Unfortunately it was, the window was completely covered from one corner to the next with snow. His head twisted back around, his expression a bit bland. “Shit, never mind. We aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.*” Figures, either mother nature or some uncontrolled weather based student was having a field day.
(OOC:*In French, the gimmick was becoming a bit too much)

"*That was incredibly quick," Jenna responded easily as she looked down at the food she had ordered. Grabbing the utensils she needed, Jenna started to eat slowly as Cade spoke to her some more. At his proposition, the sylph looked up at the man in slight surprise as well with interest. She was just about too respond to him until she noticed that he was turning toward the window. "*Really?" Jenna then asked Cade, looking toward the windows - seeing that the teacher was completely right. Seeming amused by this though, Jenna took one look around the restaurant and also realized that they were the only customers as well. "Should have noticed earlier," she said to Cade - waving her hand at the empty tables as she changed her speaking back to English.
Returning back to her food, the blonde fairy ate her food quite slow - almost as if she were savoring each bite. "You should tell whoever is in charge of that school that you work at that there have been a lot of vampires in the village recently," Jenna started - not letting Cade on to the fact that she had already met Martina before. "I think there's been a bit of blood in the air that they can smell more than we can." Frowning curiously, her conversation with Nikolai that she had just a few days ago came to mind and she wondered briefly to herself why she hadn't bothered to tell him this piece of information. Most likely it didn't seem as important to her at the time.

As the fairy pointed out the lack of people around, Cade searched the restaurant the a couple flicks of his head. The restaurant wasn’t exactly full when they entered either, so that was probably one of the reasons they hadn’t noticed. The other being their elongated flirt session. “Huh, you’d think we slipped into the Twilight Zone or something” he commented as he gripped his utensils once more.
Jenna began to discuss a few things, so Cade saw it as an ample opportunity to start at his meal. Flirting just didn’t work nearly as well when there was a plate of food in front of either party, unless it was a dessert of course. Cade’s face quirked and reacted to her speech as he normally would during conversion as he chewed his food, though he avoided opening his mouth. He felt the need to interject, so he quickly began to swallow. Speaking with a mouth full was never attractive no matter the circumstances. His hand shadowed over his eyes “I really hope that has nothing to do with the kidnappings” he answered in a halfway defeated tone.
Cade’s head perked up a short while afterwards as he thought up something immediately afterwards. “Wait, no that would be a good thing. You see, we could have the vampires’ pick up on the scent and lead us straight to them!” he planned as he pointed at different sections of the table as if they were locations on a map. “That’s how vampires work right? I never actually knew they were real until I came here, so I may have my facts wrong” he corrected as his eyes rolled to the right corner in minor confusion. “Either way, I’ll let the boss lady know.”

At the mention of the Twilight Zone as they were eating, Jenna glanced up at Cade "The Twilight Zone?" she asked him with a briefly confused expression. Every now and then Jenna had a hard time keeping up with the day and age she lived, so it wasn't unusual for a popular saying or TV show to escape her from time to time. As the silence settled over them for a little while, Jenna took that time to continue on with her meal.
Watching Cade as he spoke some more, his sudden alertness surprised the sylph for a moment as she set down her eating utensils. "I don't think that's exactly how vampires work, I've only really met one. Even then we didn't talk for too long, they're really solitary creatures. I just know what they look like." She explained to Cade briefly.

Cade’s face scrunched in slight befuddlement at Jenna’s confusion. The thought that she was anything outside of his own generation slipped his mind considering how young she looked, in fact out of the two of them Cade felt he appeared the oldest of the two. Might just be his stubble. Still though, she was the one who was actually alive when the show first aired, out of the two of them she should know better. “You don’t keep up with pop culture do you? I suppose that makes sense, if you did I’d imagine you would’ve went insane by now” he replied as he dipped his fork at his plate once more. “Basically all you need to know is that the Twilight Zone is another dimension filled with creepy crap” he explained simply before he took another bite.
“Ah, okay. Of course if it was that easy we would’ve found them already” he sighed as he shook his head. Cade really needed to stop looking for the easy way around complicated situations. Speaking of which, they were still snowed in. Both Cade and Jenna seemed relatively unreactive to the turn of events, but then again it was just a buildup of snow at least the power was still on…
Within a few seconds though, the restaurant went from just the right amount of light to set a nice mood to pitch black. Cade’s utensils gently being placed onto his plate dominated the sound in their region for a moment. “Well, I guess that was to be expected” he light heartily commented. “Snowed in, power’s cut. Where the hell are the owners?” he questioned into the darkness. “I’m definitely not leaving a good tip.”

Jenna shook her head at Cade's question, only a slight bit amused at his observation. At his explanation, Jenna's brows narrowed for just a moment in confusion. "Really? Another dimension? I wouldn't be surprised if it actually existed," Jenna mentioned briefly to Cade. Finally finishing up her food, Jenna pushed her plate to the side and took a sip of her water - watching Cade as he sighed. She did feel bad about the issues that the school was having, but Jenna found herself only allowing herself to care as much as was needed. After all, the sylph didn't work at the school and most of the villagers never seemed to bother her. She suspected that she was living an ignorant life on the island, but having only really been here for a few months she felt as though she hadn't created an extreme amount of connections yet that would require her wanting to know more people.
As she was thinking to herself and drifting off into her own world the restaurant went pitch black and Jenna jumped out of her thoughts in alarm. The sound of Cade setting his silverware down only caused Jenna to be suddenly much more aware of the situation. The silence in the main area that they were in allowed Jenna to arrive at the same question. Hadn't they just seen the waitress only just a while ago? "Maybe most of them left and they were about close up, I don't think all the works would leave though," Jenna paused for a moment as she considered what the lay out of the building might be.
It was a strange reaction from such a normally carefree female, but typically upon finding herself in a situation that the unknown was ever present the sylph's year would begin to show. Cade on the other hand seemed less than even concerned about them being trapped in the building with the pile up of the snow. "There must be other people still in the building," Jenna said once more - suddenly the sensation of being trapped hitting her finally causing her to feel a bit of panic.

Being that Cade couldn’t see anything period, he decided it would be best to take his actions slow and observe his surrounding with anything but his eyes. “Or they could have jumped ship to save their own hides, but let’s believe in the goodness of mankind for now” he jested as he fidgeted his arms around trying to find the boundaries of everything around him. Given that the area was one that he had been acquainted to for quite some time now it was hardly a struggle, but moving further into the room however might not prove as easy.
Getting out of the booth wasn’t difficult, finding his bearings however was going to be harder than finding a way to balance on the tip of a toothpick. He stepped cautiously and continued to wave his arms around like an old blind man, though was a bit more restrained by his patience. If he had the smallest source of light he’d be in business, but alas he didn’t even have a cell phone. Being that he grew up in an illegal drug run family he knew they were so easily traceable, besides it wasn’t like he had any sense of urgency to contact anyone on or off the island.
Cade felt little panic toward the occasion simply because this was more of a nuisance than it was danger. He knew fairly well that snow ins caused very few casualties and that out of all the possible things he could have died from over his short life span this wasn’t going to be the one that snuffed him. Whether or not Jenna felt the same way he wasn’t sure, but given her immortal status she couldn’t possibly believe that a little bit of snow was going to do her in.
“Hrm, let me see if I can attract their attention then” he proposed to Jenna as he tried to figure out where to best convey his voice to. He hadn’t the slightest clue of how large the restaurant was, so he decided it be best to expect the worst. “Hey! You know it isn’t the best time to close shop when you still have costumers around!” he shouted into the darkness waiting for some sort of reply. Within seconds, a beam of light shot into his eyes, its origin seeming to be from across the room. “Okay you found us, good. Point the light at our feet and not our faces if you don’t mind” Cade replied slightly annoyed while shielding his eyes from the light.

Jenna stayed silent as Cade started to get up and move around, the teacher seemed to be a bit more in control of the situation so Jenna felt it only necessary to let him keep on doing what he was doing. Standing up carefully, Jenna's wings hugged close to her body that action making it seem that they were protecting her from any unknown danger. As a light was shined at them, Jenna caught half of it and moved her hand up to her eyes to avoid the momentary blindness. "I wasn't lying when I said they wouldn't leave," she then said to Cade in a sarcastic tone. She was only putt off slightly by the situation, but Jenna felt that if she knew anything it was the behavior patterns of people. For her it would have been highly unusual for everyone to be gone without collecting money from them first.
Feeling it was better to start moving in the direction of the light, Jenna began to do so but in the process bumped up against Cade for a brief second causing her to make a light noise of surprise. "Oh, it's harder to see than I thought."
