It had been a few weeks since Serenity last had a drink and as she used some of the equipment around the weight room, the woman was wishing she could have one - at least to poor it on the students clanking the weights around her. The sounds echoed in her ears which was giving the teacher a headache that she hadn't had in ages. Gritting her teeth as she did some sets on a machine that allowed her to fine tune some leg muscles, Serenity finally stopped as she couldn't take the sound anymore. Standing up with an agitated demeanor, Seren coughed lightly before speaking. "I swear to god if any one of you clanks the weights any more I will personally find your teachers and make them give you more homework." Seeing as how there were only four other students in the weight room at this time, two students gave each other a look and quickly walked out - finding more interest in another area to work-out. The left over students though went on with their weight lifting and the woman was pleased to hear that the clanking was not as bad as it had been only a few minutes ago.
Grabbing a small towel she had set on a ledge near her, Serenity wiped some sweat off of her forehead and started to make her way over to the weight bench. As she did so the woman tapped her foot lightly against a few metals bar she passed, the action making it easier to know where she was going since she wasn't in possession of her cane for the time being. Finding what she was looking for, Serenity took her time finding the weights and putting fifty pound weights on each side. From the looks of it, Serenity could have easily gone for much more. The woman though preferred starting off slow nowadays when it came to her weight lifting. It was obvious that she was growing more comfortable with being at the school than she had been when she was younger.

A student that looked suspiciously like Miller was among the two that stayed behind after Serenity’s outburst. She was stationed at a rowing machine on the other side of the room gripping his one hand at the handle to operate the machine. She didn’t heed too much about Seren’s warning since the machine the muscle bound boy was stationed at wasn’t of the variety to make much noise. Tem, however, didn’t want any attention from the teachers just students that recognised her guise, but so far she ran into very few. Basically, she just had to waste time until she clocked out, Miller seemed to be a very discrete and friendless student.
Given how much of his free time he had to give up for Jenna, he found that he had been spending less and less time at the gym. He may not be the largest guy around, but a physique such as his didn’t come so easily either. Again he showed up with nothing flashier than a nice white t-shirt. Trips to the gym weren’t meant to impress anybody, while to him just about every other occasion did.
Cade casually cruised into the room with a chipper bounce in every step he made. All that was missing was a pleasantly themed whistle, but truth be told Cade didn’t know how. The place was relatively empty, so he had free range for just about anything he desired, though one thing caught his eye before anything else. The blind woman he met at the tavern a long while ago. It’d seem like a coincidence if not for the fact that they both worked in the same building. In fact he was able to spy on her classes every now and again. His movements rerouting toward her location, mostly because she was handling heavy equipment and he did have a helpful air about him today.
“Hrm, that’s nearly enough weight to match the average teenager. Your students giving you that much trouble?” the teacher teased with a bright enough smile that would put the sun to shame. "I'm planning on throwing mine out the window sometime soon too."

Serenity had been just about to start lifting when a male voice came to her ears, it took awhile for her to place it but Serenity finally came to the conclusion that the voice belonged to someone she had met in the tavern before. "I doubt you have to dodge stray fireballs or lightening bolts in your class though," Serenity bit out as she started her lifting. "Unless you allow them the use of their powers and if you do then I sure pity you." Finishing a set, the woman sat up for a moment and turned in the direction she had last heard Cade speaking. "Say, can you do me a favor and add twenty pounds for me?" she asked the other teacher in a somewhat polite tone.
Serenity typically found that it took her just a few minutes to build up to the average amount of weight she could lift. Sadly, the woman pushed herself too hard on occasions and would up injuring herself in a small manner and having to do something else for a few days before coming back to weight lifting again. Her preferred way of working out had always been in the battle arena, making use of the dummies - but more often the not the teacher found that the more time she spent in their trying to train by herself more and more students would try to come up to her and ask her questions about whatever homework she had given that day.

Tem’s shimmering black eyes followed Cade’s body as he entered the room. She was so incredibly bored by her workout that she began scheming. Sure, she needed to stay undercover, but she didn’t need all the sand contained in her body in order to do that. A stream of sand leaked down her leg and converted its colour to match that of the floor so that it would be harder to spot. It made very slow movements and hugged the ground so much that it made the floor look no thicker. Tem may find some amusement after all, unfortunately Cade was her target yet again.
“I may not allow my students to use their powers in class, but that doesn’t stop them from chucking a colourful variety of things at the back of my head when I look away” he shrugged, only remembering a moment later that gestures were useless toward a blind woman. It would be difficult for him to actively stop himself though. With her request, Cade nodded and began to apply ten pound weights to each end. “It’s the ones with super strength that really do a number with a paper wad, but I suppose you do get worse things thrown at you on the daily” he continued as he finished linking the added weights.
Cade quirked one end of his mouth in curiosity. “You know, I’ve rarely seen a woman work the bench-press. Not sure why it seems like a more male oriented machine, you seem to be keeping up with it just fine” he spoke off the top of his head as he leaned against a nearby wall.

"Oh, I wonder how many times the janitors have to visit your classroom then," Serenity commented jokingly - feeling in a less tense mood thanks to her weight lifting. "I'd have to say acid has topped it for me this class semester at least," Serenity then said as she started her sets - finishing rather quickly and then sitting up to move her head in Cade's direction. It was an unusual thing to watch if someone actually paid attention to how Serenity moved her head, mostly because if the woman really tried it be surprisingly easy for her to trick someone into thinking that she could actually see them. "I like variety," Serenity answered simply. "I actually prefer training in the battle arena, but since my classes are held there it's easier for the students to find me." the woman didn't bother to mention that this was her way of hiding from answering questions as her statement made it almost albeit obvious.
Serenity wasn't able to do what she used to do though when she was first hired at the school. Training in the forest was her top preferred method of working out over everything, but more often than not students were in the forest as well and there had been instances where the teacher had narrowly avoiding coming in contact with said wandering students. The thought caused her to grit her teeth and return to her weight lifting once more.

“Oh hardly, I keep my room in a presentable fashion. You never know when the boss lady’s going to just waltz on in” he answered simply, aware that her statement wasn’t of a serious nature. He twiddled his thumbs as he began to wonder why it was that he hadn’t grabbed a dumbbell or found a nearby machine so that he could socialize while working out, the purpose of his visit to the gym. He bounced off the wall and circled around the woman’s workout bench. His eyes scanned for something that he could do some easy lifting with so that he could divide the attention for the woman.
He didn’t quite leave for anything just yet though, it be rude for him to just walk off during mid-conversation. “I know what you mean. I’d prefer to work elsewhere as well, but my class best suits my needs. A large chalk board for these huge mitts of mine, simple pencil and paper just doesn’t cut it” he held up his hands and wrangled his fingers as he spoke. “The only other place I really could work at would be my apartment, but that place is a mess” he shook his head as he was briefly reminded of the project the sylph had put him up to. The more he thought of it the more he wanted to go back to it, but it made him wonder if he was actually interested in its results or if the winged woman’s ‘inspiration’ was forcing him to finish.
The teacher stared off at the large variety of equipment. “Hrm, you’re in better shape than me, what would you recommend for upper body?” he turned to his fellow co-worker once again.

Serenity clicked her tongue lightly at the mention of their boss. It wasn't that she was on bad terms with Martina, she wouldn't have been hired otherwise. Serenity just wouldn't go out of her way to try and make friends with the woman, which naturally made sense in a professional setting. At the mention of his hands, Serenity paused for a moment - curiously looking in the direction of Cade's voice. "Come here then, let me see these hands of yours." Serenity said quite simply as she sat up on the bench that she had originally been laid back on. The woman held her hands out expectantly then, waiting for the man to figure out what she meant by letting her see. Of course it seemed like something strange for a blind woman to say, but Serenity held no qualms about touching the other teachers hands.
The action would be similar to if one were having a conversation with another person and they mentioned they're arm or foot, naturally the person would look to the body part if only for a second. Most only consider it a reflex action, but if Serenity ever wanted to do such a thing the woman typically had to ask. "Depends if you're talking about yourself or a friend. I find it easier to tell people what they need by figuring out what they look like." Serenity then left the comment open ended, allowing Cade to try and figure out how she went about such a thing. As she spoke her tone sounded a bit rough and the only real feminine qualities you could spot were ones that were quite obviously hidden, besides the smooth angles of her face. The only thing that really interrupted this though was the scar from her neck that went just a bit onto her cheek.

Cade had a dumbfounded expression on his face that would be completely lost on the woman. He was going to question what she meant by see his hands since they were out in the open, easy for viewing until he was forcibly reminded that she was blind after all. Why she was so curious about his hands was beyond him, blind or not it was still odd. He had no reason against it however, so he did as she requested and placed his jarringly large palms over hers. They were easily twice her size, but then again that was usually the case between men and women in that regard. “You make it way too easy to forget you’re blind, you know that?” he reassured the woman with a useless quirk of his brow. He was never more aware of his physical gestures than when he interacted with Serenity, it was strange to think how someone could read emotions without the having a facial reference to back it up.
“So what you’re saying is that you’ll need to pat me down like an airport security guard before you…” before he could complete his sentence, his face quirked in confusion as his vision bent toward his feet. He felt change in the ground below the rubber grips of his shoes. He couldn’t react to the odd sensation nearly fast enough before the floor coloured sand sprung his feet and the rest of his body forward. Given the angle at which his head was positioned and that of Serenity, they were inbound for one another. If Seren wasn’t stable enough, they could both be knocked clean off the bench.
Miller’s face was alive with the most joy that face had seen in a long time. Tem giggled as she watched the chaos that she had created with the two mortals. She continued her work out though still trying to stay incognito. Mortals were her favourite plaything when they weren’t being overtly obnoxious.

Serenity smirked at Cade's comment, "You're not the first person to tell me that." She said to him, beginning to run her thumbs over his fingers before moving onto his palms. As he started to talk once more, Serenity paused waiting for him to finish before realizing that the man was falling. The woman didn't have enough time to move instead and ended up falling off the bench with Cade in tow, with her head knocking against the floor just enough to hurt but not enough to cause the woman to faint - the recoil had her head running into Cade's and through some strange sort of luck (or bad luck) their lips connected in the most awkward of manners.
In the mean time, Jenna had just left the Headmistresses office having told her about what she had discovered while flying around the island. She had gotten a visitors pass now trying to figure out where Cade was to see if he wanted to spend some time with her today. After asking one or two staff members she finally figured out that he was in the weight room. Making her way over there, just as Cade and Serenity's lips had connected Jenna walked into the room to see the scene before her. From anyone who had been there to see what had led up to it, it would have been obvious that all of it was just mistake. Jenna though saw something else completely, the man that she had been actively seeing was on top of some other woman kissing her.
"What the hell." Jenna finally said out-loud, her mouth agape at the whole thing - barely noticing the shape-shifting Tem in the background. Suddenly a flurry of wind stretched through the room, causing the weights to rattle in there places before Jenna turned from the room - a mixture of furious and upset at what she had just seen.
Serenity hadn't bothered to pay attention to the presence of another person instead, after getting her senses back, the teacher reacted with surprising amount of speed and sent an open palm in the direction of Cade's face. Her goal was to get him off of her, but she did have quite a bit of force in this throw.

Thankfully, Tem didn’t need to gasp for breath. Her inability to breathe made her giggle fits go on forever and she had no abjections to that. It’s been a really long time since something so perfect had been set up for her to intrude. Her laughing eventually ceased when the entrance of a new woman swirled the air in the room. Her guise was slowly deteriorating as she couldn’t hold on to her sand particles hard enough. She couldn’t be found out like this, she had to retreat before someone could catch on.
The Miller-fake leapt off her machine and sprinted for the exit, holding on to her bits as much as she possibly could. The worry of her action seeming conspicuous ran by her mind, but from what she’d learned about the student she been doubling he was a coward so at least it wasn’t out of character.
Cade couldn’t comprehend what was happening until he was looming over Serenity on the floor and indecently their lips were locked. His body had taken a few rough hits from their descent as well, but they were definitely minor in comparison to whatever Seren was feeling. He had stable feet, he was on stable ground. His mind couldn’t connect the dots to what had happened, but how it happened would become the least of his concerns.
Cade’s eyes bugged out as he heard the familiar voice of the one he poured his heart out to. Just his luck, Jenna was never around when he was saving a baby or something, always the worst of times. His head franticly twisted toward her. What was the worst he could say? ‘It’s not what it looks like’ or ‘this is a bad time’ were to list a few. His head turned back to the blind woman only to be rewarded with a pound to the nose. It felt like his cartilage was disconnect from the bone, the girl could hit.
He sprung off his co-worker immediately to both justify himself and out of gut reaction from the searing pain within his bloodied nostrils. His fist clutched at his nose as he tried to keep the thing from leaking all over the gym floor. “Christ woman! What the hell?!” he muffled under his palm.
His thoughts scrambled as he tried to find the right combination of words to calm the situation before he becomes labeled as the bad guy. The blow to his nose was a hindrance to his thinking as whether or not he would leave with his nose was an actual fear he held. “Assumptions are a terrible thing to make right now” spoke with a fearful look in his eyes.

"What do you expect?" Serenity exclaimed harshly as she managed to get Cade off of her - realizing that she might have broken his nose. "Someone falls onto me in such a manner and I'm going to defend myself." Serenity then said to the other teacher, slowly sitting up so as to not make herself dizzy. Eventually, Serenity was on her feet wiping herself off. "Are you okay? Look, I didn't mean to hurt you if I did I was just trying to get you off of me as quick as I could." Serenity said then looking just a bit irritated at the whole situation.

Cade uselessly charged at the door, even though he knew very well that Jenna was long gone and there was no possible way for him to catch up. He groaned as he was instantly reminded of her dragon friend’s warning. It didn’t help that he was a fellow employee. Well, there was a good chance that death was waiting for him just around the corner, but that feeling was nothing new to him. He was smart enough to know he could handle that, but Jenna on the other hand, it was going to be difficult to win her back over, especially after the previous display. Though, her flight gave him time to think over a good excuse.
He continued to grip his nose in a vain attempt to stop the bleeding. At the sound of Seren’s voice, he turned to her. Her tone sounded just as livid as he felt, with a dash of depressed emptiness on the side. “Yeah, okay, next time I bump into you in the hall I’ll brace myself for when you try to snap my arm!” he shot back at the woman, the charm in his tone vanishing completely.
Cade separated his hand from his nose to investigate the blood splattered on it for Serenity’s inquiry. “Well, it’s bleeding and it feels like it’s no longer a part of my body. I’m sure a once over by a doctor will do wonders for me, hell he might even make me able to smell again as an added bonus” he jested, though his tone sounding more negative and grim than his ordinary upbeat one.

"Oh, don't act like you falling on top of me didn't warrant me trying to get you off of me. Suck it up," Serenity then said to Cade in an irritated manner. "If you would just calm down and come here I can fix what I did, it's not the fucking end of the world. It sounds like I just broke your nose." The way that Serenity spoke with such a noncommittal tone suggested that she could care less if she injured the man, that was indeed the truth - but seeing as how she was planning on working at the school for quite a while she didn't fancy the idea of making enemies any time soon.
"I promise if you don't push me over I will fix it." Serenity then added on for extra measure. Her expression was well meaning despite the fact being that she could care less whether he walked over to her or walked out. Either choice only impacted the woman so much. She could see it now, her students somehow finding out she broke another teachers nose and all of them gossiping about it. If she could, she would have rolled her eyes at the thought.

Cade wasn’t really sure what he was expecting to get out of Serenity by yelling at her. She was a very stand alone and unapologetic type of person, from what he had observed anyway. His rage toward her was completely unwarranted and he was quick to pick that up after her reply. He was still fairly peeved from the whole breaking his nose thing, though it hadn’t been the worse injury he’s endured, it was the most recent of its magnitude. Besides the woman couldn’t just push him aside. There was nothing gentle about Serenity, so unfortunately that wasn’t a option.
“You have a functional mouth, it would’ve been easier on both of us if you just asked” he rebutted, a fury still slightly burning in his eyes. His face contorted as he realised the err of his reasoning and quickly followed up before Seren could snap back at him for that one. “Never mind, my point is moot.”
As much as he wanted to chase the fairy, she was too far gone to run after. He didn’t want her to over think the situation more than she already had, but she was lost for the day he’ll have to recover before beginning any sort of pursuit. Though, she might wizen up in that time. It was an unlikely hope, but it was as much as he could hope for in the time being.
“My broken nose? You clearly haven’t been listening then. I have plenty to be in distress about over my face. I not nearly that vain” his tone calmed from a blind rage to a lowly sting. He began to approach the woman to take up on her offer. One way to salt the wounds would be for Jenna to return to catch sight of the woman treating his injuries, but at this point he could nowhere other than up. He wasn’t sure how well a blind woman would be able to fix a broken nose, but given her distinctive amount of injuries on her person it could be assumed she was an expert on dealing with wounds. Either that or she had a really good doctor, Cade should ask for their card, he was going to need one when this was all said and done.
He knelt before her, making his nose easily accessible. “Alright, do it” he spoke contently.

Serenity was opening her mouth to respond to Cade's first mistake, until the man seemed to catch himself and Serenity closed her mouth instead. "I'm sure your face will turn out for the better," Serenity then said to Cade with a somewhat sarcastic tone. As he knelt down near her, Serenity took that moment to bring her hands slowly up to his face. The action in itself was very gentle, do to the fact that Serenity was trying to see what he looked like in between positioning her hands correctly so as to snap his nose back into place. Once she felt like she figured out a general idea of what Cade looked like, Serenity spoke then "Go ahead and take a deep breath, this is going to hurt more." With those words and quick firm movement, Serenity snapped Cade's nose back into place.
After everything was said and done, the woman had just a bit of Cade's blood on her fingers. As well she had managed to figure out the man's basic facial structure, a memory she would hold in her mind along with every other appearance. "How does it feel?" she then asked the the other teacher - holding her hands up in a manner so she wouldn't get blood on anything around her.
