[ooc; For the sake of keeping everything running smoothly I request that everyone please respect post order. For the sake of letting people join I will wait at least one week or until 5 members join. After this I will have the class continue on and I ask that no one else post unless otherwise PMing and asking me if you can still join. When it comes to post order I ask that everyone also at least gives everyone four days to post. If they do not post in that amount of time then continue on with posting to keep the thread moving until the end. This class will be one hour and thirty minutes long so consider that time limit as the thread progresses.
Even though this thread does say it is in the battle stadium I simply posted in the classrooms because it is a class thread.]
Serenity stood in the middle of battle stadium in the school, tapping her cane impatiently on the ground. She wasn't too aware of the time, but she knew that any second students would be showing up. The first day of class made her feel frustrated for some strange reason, her conclusion on that being that she knew the original classroom she had gotten was not the best for what her class was. It had been difficult negotiating with the Headmistress due to the recent happenings - but she somehow managed the finagle some time for the battle stadium. Serenity had briefly worried that she would be late for her own class as she had attempted to find someone to write a note for her students on the classroom door to meet her in the battle stadium.
Luckily, she managed to be here early as possible. She had also gotten the same person that had assisted her with the sign to set an alarm on her watch for when the class would start. It seemed strange that a blind woman wore a watch, but Serenity found that it had its uses every now and then. Still standing stock still, Seren was clad in short snug blue shorts and a grey plain t-shirt that conformed to her body nicely as well. Her shoes were white, but looked only slightly dirty from mud. On a training dummy near her was her green cotton jacket that she commonly loved to wear. She had taken the jacket off when she had arrived to the battle stadium due to the weather feeling less cold but more so clammy.
Feeling a little more patient now, Serenity slowed the tapping of her cane against the ground and waited for her class to arrive.

Sandra wasn’t even sure why she had ever thought it was a good idea to sign up for a power training class. She didn’t even know if her power could be predicted let alone controlled, but then again why else join a class that could help her with that. She already had some fairly pessimistic views on the class as it was, but having it outside on the first day doubled that. She wasn’t certain how cold the weather would be, but she dressed in a large winter coat regardless to keep any warm energy that might be in her body contained.
When she arrived to the stadium, she was surprised that she was the first one besides the teacher. She wasn’t really speeding through the hallways, so she just thought it strange. She wasn’t sure where to stand exactly, so she just ceased her movements when she was within a short radius of the teacher and waited for the other students to show up.
Lon on the other hand was ecstatic that he was finally learning something useful in school. How to fight while using his powers, which was quite self-explanatory given the simplicity of his powers. He might learn some new techniques though, so he didn’t clone himself yet. He was waiting until class to show off what he could do to the teacher.
He arrived after Sandra did, though only a couple minutes of difference. He halted next to her and stood tall and proud despite his size. He observed the arena with wide eyes as he waited alongside the winter-ready woman. It was quite a sight for someone of his age even though he’d already saw the place before. “So, uh, when does our lesson begin?” he asked rather impatiently.

Bach walked down the hall toward the Battle Stadium with tiredness emitting every step. Last night was a really long night for him. He spent the night blessing his new dorm room after what felt like four in the morning. He almost didn’t wake up in time before the class started. The last thing Bach needed was being late to his first class. He wanted to give out a good impression, knowing it might help him in the long run. Bach had to give up combing his hair and getting a cup of coffee, and he really needed a cup of coffee. The last time he checked a mirror, he knew he needed some work done on himself.
Bach was wearing his casual clothes, hoodie and all. On his side, he was holding a black book with a cross on the center, wrapped around the arm he was holding the book with was multi-pattern brown and white beads with another cross just hanging off one end. He able to quickly grab them before leaving his room and running toward where class was going to take place. As he walked, he noticed a few ghosts floating around. Most of them appeared old and only twice he saw ghosts young as himself. They noticed Bach’s glances at them and in joy, they waved back. It’s not every day a living mortal human could see them clearly and not be utterly terrified.
Bach checked a nearby clock hanging from the wall. He breathed in relief finding out he somehow made it a little early, if early meaning just a few minutes but Bach didn’t care, he wasn’t late.

Felix arrived on the heels of a girl who pretty much radiated timidity. She clutched a violin case and a notebook, but she was pretty forgettable other than that. He passed her as they entered the arena proper, casting a glance in her direction. She was as pale as milk- was this really so stressful for her? He shrugged this wayward thought off and moved to stand near Sandra, who was the only person present he had actually talked to. He muttered just loud enough for her to hear, "Glad to see you've decided to take this class. You can use it." His tone was bland, but there was a twinkle in his red-brown eyes that indicated a jesting spirit.
For his part, he was wearing the flying jacket again, as well as a few other accessories he felt might come in handy. He'd had no idea what to expect and he knew the downside to his power. He tied his hair back into a loose queue that started to cling to his neck due to the moisture in the air.
---
Lucy had wanted to argue with her family against signing her up for this class. Any other classes would have been acceptable, but this one was borderline insane. She had enough on her plate without the lost causes. In her opinion, her control was fine, but her family worried that her power was consuming her.
These days, she spent more time in the Otherside than she did in her own skin. The ghosts at the school had gone neglected in favor for the influx she'd discovered with Zeke in the forest. And they kept coming. Furthermore, she kept finding wanderers over in the Otherside.
Something was rotten in the state of Denmark. Or whatever that quote was. She was failing her other classes. Even with the tutoring attempt. That failure tasted particularly sour in light of everything. She couldn't keep bringing mortals over, even accidentally. It was bad; it changed things every time it happened.
Lucy had gotten dressed in a hurry that morning. As a result, she was clad in the standard fare: a pleated skirt, a white button-up, a cranberry-red sweater, and patent leather shoes. Of course, her violin would remain ever-present. There had been too many strange events as of late that it would be very irresponsible for her to not bring it along.
She stared at the ground and didn't make eye contact with anybody. The sooner this was over, the better.

OOC; I hope you don't mind her joining!
Being the new student was far away from being fun. It was stressful and caused Bonnie's anxiety to bounce off the walls every morning she woke up; today being no different. Feeling sick to her stomach and jittery, she rushed through the hallway in a type of lost oblivion as she eyed each room number before the great expanse of the battle arena caught her attention. It suddenly scared her and she hesitated, a pair of blue eyes searching the room and the other students who had gathered. She didn't want to go in, but... she had to. With a sigh the shy girl - who was wearing a pair of black fitted pants and a maroon, long sleeved shirt - entered and simply stayed in the back of everyone whilst her anxiety built up and her subtle shivers sent waves of twitches down her bodice from her tourretes syndrome, gaze drifted down to the books in her arms and her cheeks turning red.
This class was actually one she had signed up for on her own without her parents' knowledge. They didn't know that she possessed the powers that she did (even though her dad also holds secret powers) and now she was suddenly feeling guilty. That being said, her nervous behavior seemed to get worse as she began to tap her foot soundlessly against the ground. This class just needed to end.

Avery quietly clipped down the hallways of the school, knowing that she was running a little late as it was. She moved her hands quickly behind her head to form a ponytail, stumbling a bit as she stopped paying attention to the small obstacles that were at her feet. She slid to a stop at a small intersection of hallways. She drew in a deep breath, rolling up the sleeves of her tan Arsnl hoodie, and she slid her hands into her jeans pockets, she threw a smile onto her face and gained her composure, continuing on at a slowed pace until she came to the doors of the class.
She entered into the large arena, her jaw dropping as she looked around, eyes wide at the sight of the room. She then looked forward and walked slowly until she was in line with the rest of the students who had come to attend the class. She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her left ear, attending to her ponytail to make sure that her hair was still in place. Her right foot quietly began to tap on the ground as she waited for the class to begin.

It had taken some time to help his sister to sign up for classes, but when it came to power training Constantine had determined that it would only make sense that they signed up for the same thing. He was curious as to whether or not his sub-power could be controlled, but shape-shifting had been easy enough to him. Constantine mostly felt that he was here due to his sister's sake, it was strange listening to her constantly worry about their brother - but he wasn't as quick to voice his concern as Delia was. Dressed in warm clothing, Constantine stuck his hands in the pockets of his black pea coat. It also didn't seem to concern the young man that he didn't recognize anyone in the class. His concern though was placed solely on his sister as he looked behind him to see her running up. He knew she would feel isolated if she didn't have anyone to talk too, and he couldn't help but sigh at that. He wished that Dion would just show up and say that he had to go back home for a few days, or at least something like that.
Constantine was getting tired of taking care of his little sister. Her sensitivity to everything was almost overwhelming at times. Resisting the urge to roll his eyes, Constantine turned his attention to who he assumed was the teacher. Making no noise as Delia stood silently next to him, the young girl looking over at the other students with a small bit of curiosity.
--------
Kiyoko had been unsure as to whether or not it would be worth it to sign up for a power training class. It also had taken her a long time to decide whether or not her sister would be signing up, but after considering the fact that precognition abilities were a lot harder to help then most others - the young woman figured that the class would be safe enough. As she walked into the battle stadium, a sudden realization hit her that made her cringe slightly. What if this teacher was more specialized in physical powers? Kiyoko frowned with that thought, but she knew that this was one of the classes that the school wanted a lot of students to specifically sign up for. Carefully making her way through some of the students in the back, Kiyoko stood to the far left of the group - unintentionally singling herself out.
------
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP
Serenity stopped for a moment before reaching down to press some buttons on her watch until the beeping stopped. Letting the silence fall over the students, Serenity's moved her head in Lon's direction - putting her fingers up to her lips to signal for some silence. This silence continued on for about two minutes before before Serenity started tapping the ground once more with her cane. "I am not here to baby you," the woman suddenly started to speak - her voice booming and echoing across the stadium. "I am not here to tell you that your power is special. That your power is unique, or that your power is difficult and cannot be mastered." Serenity started to walk at this point - pacing back and forth and moving her head in the direction of the students, her blind eyes seeming to make some sort of pretend connection every now and then.
"I do not consider our attributes any different than normal human beings. In the real world, a normal human being has a talent. Upon recognizing their talent, most start to spend the entirety of their life figuring out how that talent works, how they can use it and most of all understanding how it benefits them. Of course, you have those people who never recognize their talent and never use it. I am here to make sure you do not become that person," Serenity slammed her cane on the ground to emphasize this and stopped pacing. "You may have a power that will surprise me, you may have a power that I have never head of before. I do not care about this, what I care about is making sure that you understand what you power is and you understand how it works."
"In this class we will be spending a lot of time in groups or with partners. We will also be using our powers, A LOT. I expect all of you to become comfortable with this. To not be afraid of yourselves or any other person."
"My name is Serenity Hikaru. You may call me Ms. Serenity, or Ms. Hikaru - whatever is your preference I do not mind. What I ask of you all now is to please find a partner, someone who you preferably do not know and introduce yourselves to them an explain what your power is. I will be going around to all of you and getting to know you as well."
Serenity stopped talking at that point, waiting now for the students to group up before she decided to walk around more.

Sandra smirked slightly when she heard Felix’s low tone. She had never properly thanked him for the dance they had at the masquerade, but in the middle of class a couple of months after the fact was probably not the best time. “It was either this or trig, it wasn’t a hard choice to make” she whispered back to him, though their height difference made it hard for her to do it discretely. Her attention went back to the teacher once she began her speech.
Sandra was fairly intimidated by the woman given what she spoke of. Every other person in the class probably were well acquainted with their ability and could at the least use it by command, Sandra couldn’t nor did she know if she could ever even by being trained. Given how her body has also been acting up lately and going against what she believed was the rules behind her power that didn’t help her situation.
When Serenity mentioned partners, she immediately turned to Felix hoping that she could get away with being his partner since he already knew her power somewhat and how dangerous it was. “Sandra, I can absorb heat from anything” she spoke to Felix as if she didn’t know him and hoped that he would understand that.
Lon immediately thought that he should just clone himself and say that he was his own partner, but he wasn’t sure how strong of stomachs everyone in the crowd had since the cloning procedure was quite grotesque. He had to quickly search the crowd for anyone who stuck out to him. He was easily the youngest in the class and it seemed that there was at the least four year age gap between him and the rest.
He wasn’t too sure who to pick or whether he should wait for someone to pick him, but his attention soon enough landed on the girl who seemed alone at the far left of the group. He was a bit too excited to wait, so he quickly paced himself over to her and held his hand in front of her. “My name’s Lon, do you want to be my partner?” he asked, his tone radiating with joy. Even though the woman seemed relatively short, she was still a giant in comparison to the boy.

Bach stood silently as he listened to the woman speaks. He nodded slightly in approval as she made her point. ‘Huh, no nonsense with this teacher? Alright, I’m fine with that.’ Bach thought to himself. She finished her short speech with commanding the class to find a partner, which was a slight problem to Bach. Most of his abilities as of now were focused on spiritual apparitions, who the common man or woman won’t have the ability to see nor hear. The teen priest started to think up ways how to actually show his powers while slowly looking around for a suitable partner to team up with.
With a cough, he spoke so everyone could hear, “Is there anyone who is able to see spirits, ghosts, or the recently deceased that I can partner up with?” Hopefully someone could, either that or he’ll have to rely on his beads. With luck, he won’t use them so soon. On the side of the stadium, a handful of ghosts were gathering at the seating and discussing about the students slightly below them. They’re probably expecting a show from them, since being dead can get a little boring for a while. Most of them were commenting on the students looks.

It was pretty standard 'let's start this off with authority' stuff that the teacher offered and a less cynical person might have fallen for it. Felix, for his part, was nonplussed by it all. He had attended the school of the streets for long enough to feel somewhat self-reliant. As for achieving his potential- he worked at that all of the time. He had accepted his power from the start, even when it had physically altered him, taking away the appearance that had so resembled the features of his parents.
Felix grinned. "Oh, I understand completely. I'm not sure what possessed me to take a math this year." He acted all nonchalant about partners, but inclined his head when Sandra turned to him. A glint in his eyes appeared and he bowed slightly. "You can call me Rudy. I make dancing toasters and flying coats and other magical sundries. Pleasure to meet you." His game wasn't lying about his power anymore, since it would be pretty pointless after the dance where his entire garb had been bespelled to an extreme. He still wore the mask occasionally- it was a neat look when he felt like being more exotic. "I hope you are as excited to be here as I am!" His voice rang with genuine enthusiasm.
He glanced over his shoulder at a kid with a book who had asked about ghosts, shrugging and shaking his head. "No, sorry."
---
Lucy watched the woman, mesmerized by her inspiring words... for a moment, then she remembered that her life was spent mostly in death. Did that mean she could never achieve her potential while she lived? It was food for thought, certainly.
The mere mention of partners made her want to throw up. It was hard enough to attend class, let alone pick a partner on the first day. And performing for whoever it was was right out. Lucy felt willing to take a failing grade over exposing more people to the Otherside.
She heard a boy call out, asking for people who could see and speak to ghosts. This struck her with a sudden inspiration. What if her power was just to see and speak to ghosts? She could do that and not tell anybody what the other aspects of her abilities were. A hesitant smile crossed her face and she shyly raised her hand. "I-I c-can do that."
The girl took a few steps closer to the boy, introducing herself. "My name's Sade, but most p-people call me Lucy." She spoke slowly, since she was still working on reducing her speech impediment. "I can d-do those things you talked about." She nodded to the ghosts in the stadium, making an internal note to take care of them later. "Is that all you can do? W-What's your name?"

Naturally bright eyes lifted as the teacher began to speak, brows lifting as a sudden pang of fear crept through her spine and sent a shiver throughout her body, coinciding with her twitches. She didn't really like how... dominating this teacher appeared to be and to know that she was blind added onto that factor. The teacher seemed to be so strong and confronting and Bonnie was nowhere near that. Shy and timid, the girl felt her anxiety build and a cold sweat made her hands clammy, the books that were in her hand at least providing her the safety of hiding her sweaty hands. However, as the teacher soon said that partners were involved she quickly felt her stomach drop, her breath catching in her throat as she looked around. Oh god she hated when she had to work with others! She was new here and knew no one and... oh she hated this.
Standing by herself away from everyone, Bonnie gazed around and watched those who found partners. Being how she was the timid girl stayed quiet, not offering to go to those who still needed a partner. Her eyes only stared as she waited for someone to pick her because, well, she would most likely end up being the last one picked. She was never the "go to" individual in both aspects and so she remained where she was, cheeks still tinted a shade of red as she held her books tightly

Avery allowed herself a few moments to be impressed with the teacher standing before her, admiring her ability to push through adversity. When asked to find a partner, she began to scan the crowd of students in front of her. Soon enough however, people were getting snatched up by others left and right, quickly realizing that if she didn't move forward and find a partner fast she would be singled out by the teacher undoubtedly. She cleared her throat softly and moved forward towards the quickly congregating group of gifted students.
"Uhm... Does anybody still need a partner?"
She paused movement for a moment, scanning the group once more. She saw one girl who was still completely alone, and as such, moved to speak with her. As she came closer to Bonnie she timidly lifted her right hand, offering a little wave.
"Uhm.. Hi! My name is Avery, and I can sort of give things explosive properties by charging them... I'm not entirely sure how it works but.... Yeah."
Avery shrugged a bit apathetically, her right foot beginning to tap lightly on the ground, both hands dipping into her pockets, shifting her hands around. She seemed to calm down a bit after she did this, the timid look on her face becoming a confident smirk.

10 minutes into class.
Constantine watched the students pick each other, glancing down at his sister every now and then. It seemed to him that no one decided to pick the siblings, maybe it was because they came in together? Frowning at this, Constantine turned to the teacher as she started to walk near them. "Ms. Hikaru," Constantine spoke up for a moment - not really caring himself about partnering up but mostly attempting to get his sister someone else to talk too. "My sister and I do not have partners and I would like it if she had someone else besides me."
Serenity paused for a moment, her head moving in the direction of Constantine. "Is that so," She said to Constantine - waiting a moment before she heard a female voice speaking about heat. Turning to Sandra, she tapped the young woman on the shoulder with her cane. "Please change your partner too this gentleman, I'm pretty sure these siblings are more than aware of each other." Serenity left it at that before moving on to walk near the other groups, occasionally listening in on the conversation going on.
After Serenity had walked away, Constantine looked down at his sister and pointed over at Felix. "You should pair up with him." Delia nodded and started to walk over to Felix, her bow occasionally moving as she walked. Stopping before the young man, it only took Delia a moment to realize that she had seen Felix somewhere before. When the realization hit her, the young girl's mouth dropped and her cheeks started to turn pink. "Y-Y-You're wearing c-c-c-clothes!" she exclaimed, almost loud enough for the whole class to hear.
----
Kiyoko looked surprised as Lon walked up to her, his question gaining a pleasant smile from her. "Sure, Lon. My name is Kiyoko." While she spoke, Kiyoko had a slight Japanese accent. It had taken her awhile while she was here, but Kiyoko was almost to the point where she could speak fluent English. "What's your power?" she then asked the boy. Glancing up in surprise for a moment as she heard the stuttered words of Delia a few feet away from them. "Strange." The young woman said quietly before looking back at Lon.
-----
Stopping in the middle of the class, Serenity started to speak with a booming male voice - the action seeming surprising amid all the ruckus of students looking for partners. "While you continue to introduce your powers, I will have you all be aware of mine." Midway between talking, Serenity's voice changed from a deep male voice to a little girl's voice. As well, the woman's appearance changed into a little girl - and Serenity quickly grabbed her clothing in accordance. "Most would call me a shape-shifter," she started to say before her appearance changed once more into a small blonde boy. "I am not though. I am a copy cat capable of only copying, therefore any appearance, voice or mannerism I use is a product of someone I have met before." Finally changing back to her normal appearance, Serenity quickly adjusted her clothing and leaned down to pick up her cane with surprising efficiency. "Through working with my power, I figured out something very easy that I could do with it that seemed hard at the time."
Clearing her throat, a weak woman's voice came from the entrance of the battle stadium - although it appeared that no one was standing there. "Carrying my voice was something I learned through memorizing voices. This is something any person can do through any amount of practice."
Finally, Serenity's voice went back to normal as she turned to the majority of the class. "After you are done informing each other of your powers, please begin on using them as well. If you have any disagreement with using your power - feel free to discuss this with me immediately."
As she finished talking, Serenity started in the direction of Bonnie and Avery - her cane tapping the dirt as she walked. "Have you two discussed your powers, yet?" She asked the two girls - seeming to not really be looking directly at them. "If you have I will assign you two what you're going to do for the rest of the class."
[ooc; Sorry, Miller for hogging your characters. Also for everyone, at the top of every post I make I will be posting how much time has passed in the class. Like I said in my previous posts, the class will be done after an hour and thirty minutes. ]

Sandra grew a bright grin after receiving Felix’s introduction. Considering how hesitant he was to reveal his ability to her when they first met it seemed out of place for him to say it so openly. Then again, the teacher would have probably got it out of him at one point or another since it was a class based around power training. She rolled her eyes when he asked how excited she was for the class, she wasn’t sure whether he was acting excited or not. Either way, she noticed that the teacher was fairly close to her, so she didn’t plan on saying anything negative about it. “Oh, am I-“ she was then tapped on the shoulder by Serenity’s cane.
She gazed at her new appointed partner, she didn’t recognize him. Sandra wasn’t prepared to argue with the teacher over her decision given that she probably wouldn’t tolerate her complaints given that she had previously stated that she wasn’t playing babysitter. She felt a tad bit cheated even though she was the one using underhanded ploys, she felt justified by her actions regardless of how others would view them.
Sandra nodded to the teacher, which she quickly realized would probably wasn’t the most appropriate response and corrected that by saying “I guess so” she answered her tone sounding discouraged. She took a few steps forward so that she would be closer to her new partner than her old, she waved good-bye to Felix as she did. The sudden outburst from the girl caught her attention with an odd stare.
“I’m Sandra, I absorb heat from things and then explode” she spoke sounding without much motivation. Today was not going to be a good day she could already sense that.
-
Lon quirked a brow when the girl gave out her name, it wasn’t one he’d ever heard of before. Though his name wasn’t too common either. He returned a grin to her and was quick to answer her question “I’m able to make copies of myself, it’s kinda gross to watch so I’ll warn yah when I’m gonna do it.”
His attention turned over to the teacher instantly when she began talking and displaying what she was able to do. He was astonished by her ability to quickly shape-shift between her many forms. It only made him want to show off his power even more, so once she finished Lon’s attention guided back to Kiyoko. “I’m gonna do it now” he warned excitedly. The minute his lips ceased movement, his body split in two and each halves of his body swiftly began to regrow the missing half of their respective bodies. Given that each half only had one leg it was difficult for them to balance, but given the amount of times he had performed his power he didn’t fall over.
Within a span of half a minute both halves were finally whole, though the face of both Lons looked really spacy.

When someone raised their hand, relief washed over Bach. He’s not the only one; Bach did a mental image of delighted cheering as he examined the voice owner. ‘A girl, short, dark hair, a little pale, has a violin, interesting.’ Bach silently thought. ‘She’s shaking, mostly avoids eye contact, probably shy.’ If Bach was going to research Gifted in the future, he might as well try to remember much as he can. Besides, something about her made Bach a little uneasy as she got close to him.
Bach ignored such thoughts and lowered his head in an introductory manner. “Herbert Bach at your service, holy priest, spiritual defender of the mortal plane, angel of ghosts and punisher of insolent sprits.” Bach gracefully introduced himself. Long, yes but he wanted to try it out; now he regrets saying that. Still, he continues, “My main assets include warding people to stay away and keeping spirits in a certain area.”
Bach raised himself up and lowered his hand. “Now Lucy, I hope we can become excellent partne-.” Bach was interrupted from the nearby teacher as she showed off her power, at first, Bach had an astonished look on his face for a moment before changing in to an observant gaze. After the small show, he turned back to his new partner. “Partner,” Bach finished.
