The Day at the Tavern -Dead-

"Not really," Erich shrugged, turning to Kadira, "Arthas didn't even do anything. I suppose it's the best way to go...you wouldn't have fought them anyways, would you Arthas?" In response, the large knight rotated his body to look at the teenagers. His long, blonde, pretty-boy hair swayed gracefully as he turned, making many of the village women in the area fall in love with him. Arthas swiped his sword in the air, then placed it in its sheath. "No," replied the knight's deep voice with a grin, "for they would rather save their hides than die." The knight's eyes narrowed, glancing to Kadira. "Who is your lady friend?" he questioned.
Erich turned to Kadira. "This is Kadira," he spoke for her, "she....'saved' me from those sailors earlier." His own eyes narrowed and his eyebrows curved upwards in a sad motion, appearing as if he was regretting to ever say that; Arthas boasted in a heavy laughter, and began to talk and make fun of Erich from being "rescued" by a mere woman--whom he thought was powerless.

Kadira rolled her eyes in disgust when she saw the village women and girls swooning at the knight person. She would never understand that sort of fancy. However, she did shrink back as the knight turned on them, he was a great deal bigger than her, and even with his sword away he was intimidating. She scoffed, though, as he called her Erich’s “lady friend”. No one talked like that anymore, none that she had ever met anyways.
Kadira felt a small swell of pride as Erich admitted she saved his butt from the sailors. It wasn’t every day she was recognized for her work. Pride immediately turned to anger, and her brows furrowed at the knight’s howling laughter. He thought it was funny, he must think she was weak. Typical male attitude, though so outdated. Especially when in her family’s culture, it was the women that were the superior ones. She wondered how this knight would fare in her world.
“What’s so funny?” she asked, just for good measure, though she hated drawing his to her. Though she hated to admit it, she basically was useless without her magic. Damn these restrictions. If she was going to be stuck with this curse, she should at least have the luxury of being able to use it at her discretion, but no, life didn’t like to work that way.

Arthas's laughter quieted down to a grinning chuckle, his eyes gazing down apon Kadira. "Excuse me, madam," he began to reply, "but you are just a mere woman. You possess no skill that can...'rescue' any man!" His grin vanished, and appear to wield a content expression. He knew about the Foresta history and of the students and teachers that wielded unknown powers, but he never thought that the women would possess harming abilities, but supporting types.
Erich groaned, leaning on a wall and facepalming. He must have forgotten what happened when he told that to her..., he thougt, massaging his forehead thoroughly. His eyes were tightly closed, beginning to regret summoning Arthas and staying here.

Kadira’s eyes narrowed as she struggled to keep her temper in check. She really wished she could show him otherwise, but she couldn’t unless someone asked, or someone needed help. “I’m sorry, and you know this how? I’m pretty sure you don’t know what my power is.” She stated bluntly, an edge to her words. It seemed she was throwing all her inhibitions out for the day. She was actually talking to people and being open with them (to an extent, she still wouldn’t be revealing her power any time soon) and she was talking to the knight without any fear.
She couldn’t believe how sexist this knight was being. She couldn’t even think straight, she was just so mad. She should get so worked up, and she knew that. Let the feminists duke it out; that was her take on matters such as this. It was just that he doubted any of her abilities that made her so angry; that made her want to prove him wrong.

Arthas could hint her anger. He did not enjoy irritating the girl--or having Erich disappointed in him at this moment--but in his time, most women were simple civillians. It was then he remembered about the Night Elfs and female Sorceresses that inhabited the World of Warcraft universe. He respected them; was this girl once of the "warrior" types? Until he knows specifically about her power, he'll just consider her as a supportive individual.
"Yes...I don't know about your power," he began to reply, "but neither does Erich. What is your power, girl?" His left eyebrow perked up in union with Erich's puzzling look towards himself. The boy did not want to ask her directly like that, but he sort-of expected Arthas to question her directly. It was like him; he wasn't as respectful to all as he was before.

Kadira’s eyebrows shot up in surprise at the forwardness of his question. She sort of brought it upon herself, waving the fact that he didn’t know her power in his face. Oh why did she have to open her big mouth? She was pretty sure that when she refused to tell him, he would think she was ashamed of her power and think it was a weak one. Perfect.
“This I cannot tell you, I’ve had it used against me too many times.” She explained as though she was reciting something, or reading from a book. In short, there was no emotion in her voice. She had shut down again. Perhaps it would be better if she just turned around and left now, never saw Erich again. The school was certainly big enough; she’d have no problem avoiding him.

Arthas grew a cocky smile on this face. He had finally gotten Kadira under his reel, and was about to pull her in from the straightfowardness of his question. After all, it was her fault from not saying it either, and igniting the males' curiousity. She would HAVE to say her power now, for, he was sure, that she'd blow up and say it out loud for the world to hear.
Unfortunately, his smile curved down to a disappointed frown when he gained the unexpected answer. Smart girl, he thought. Before Arthas could make a reply, Erich groaned irritately and turned away, marching in front of the large knight. "Look," he mumbled, taking charge, "it's none of your business whether or not we know what her power is. Sure, I want to know, but not getting into her personal space. You're not needed anymore here; go away," his voice ordered, and Arthas narrowed his eyes and gave Erich a short nod. His body began to expand and morph, transforming into a floating gas of blinding, white aura once more. The cloud engulfed Erich, and instantly poofed away, leading Erich to walk past Kadira and continue forwards. "Now, seriously, you can leave now. I'm sure I've caused you enough trouble."

Kadira felt a small swell of pride as she watched the knight’s face fall when she refused to divulge her power. He had though he had her beat, but she had shown him, hadn’t she? Yes, she had, and though she would have felt bad being so rude to Erich, she felt no sympathy for the knight. There was just something about him that she didn’t at all like. More likely than not, it was his outdated attitude toward women that irked her so.
She was shocked to see Erich standing up for her stand on the issue, but not surprised to see that he did want to know what her power was. After all, she knew his, so it wasn’t really fair for him not to know hers. Not that she gave a rat’s behind if it was fair or not, she still wasn’t revealing everything. She raised an eyebrow at Erich’s request to leave. Fine, if he didn’t want her here anymore than she would leave. She could take a hint. Those scum from the tavern weren’t coming back anyway, so there really was no reason for her to stick around. With a shrug, she turned on her heels and headed back in the direction of the school. It was a shame really, she really had been enjoying the company.
