Thinking every situation over and over again, at every minute that passed Erin had a strong urge to kick, punch or just injure something. It had been a week since they had last spoke to each other... or well yelled actually. She rolled her eyes as she walked into the gym, thankful that no one was there at the moment. Patting her belt to check and make sure that everything was there, Erin went over to the area that was meant for fighting. She was glad they had a place where she could set things on fire and so on. Spotting a nearly perfect looking dummy she stared at it for a second, standing still a few mintues passed as she gathered up all her anger.
The next moment, Erin suddenly let out a loud battle cry and ran at the dummy with a fire potion in her hand. Slamming it into the face of the dummy, Erin didn't even wince as the glass shattered most of the shards getting into her hand and little bits and pieces cut her face. Instead as the whole dummy was set on fire Erin took a step back and stared at it in satisfaction, seeming somewhat proud of herself just for setting something on fire. It took a few minutes for the pain in her hand to register in her mind though, her face twisted in pain as she looked down at her hand watching it bleed.

Alex had been in torment the entire week. Not only was he itching to find some wheels and jet, he was constantly plagued by thoughts of her. He couldn't sleep, he often forgot meals, he couldn't focus. Sure, he'd managed to avoid her presence for a week, but he felt even weaker now than he had before. No matter how much he tried to retreat into his antisocial haven of hate and contempt, he always ended up returning to the same old thing: Erin.
Today, it had gotten so bad, he had decided to work out until he was so tired he could just pass out and forget all about her for a while.
He entered the gym, set on weight lifting until he could no longer lift his arms. After that, he wanted to run until he collapsed.
However, it seemed that the object of his inner obsessions had beaten him there. His teal eyes narrowed and he wondered what she was doing, just standing there with a burning dummy. Alexander approached cautiously until he was close enough to see the blood. Surprised, he quickly strode up to her and grabbed the wrist of the injured hand. He gave her a stern look and closed his eyes. A moment later, a globe of water sped at them and splashed some of the blood from her palm. His next target would be her face.
It was all sort of instinct really. He'd sort of gone from cognizent to automatic in a matter of a millisecond and it was clear that it hadn't registered to him yet.

Erin was just about to start picking out all the shards when Alex suddenly appeared and the next moment her hand was splashed with water. Surprised at this she stared at him for a second before speaking, "What are you doing?" she asked him with a somewhat angry frown. She couldn't deny the fact that she was pleased to see him, but she also couldn't deny that the whole reason she set the dummy on fire was because of him. Conflicted she looked down at her hand and attempted to pull away from him, "I'm fine," she then said feeling sort of nervous about the contact.

Alex froze. A moment later, he let go of her hand and let out a string of curses that would make a sailor blush.
He glanced at her as he realized a need to hit something very very hard. However, he shook his head angrily and sped over to a punching bag instead.
As he walked, he muttered, "Nothing. I'm doing nothing."
He started wailing on the punching bag, letting his fury take over as his fists hit faster and harder. As the violence got more and more wild, he let out a yell that increased in volume until the punching bag was swinging so hard that one of his punches missed and his momentum carried him to the floor.
There he lay, one arm draped over his sweaty face.
His breathing was heavy, but since his blood was as clear as water, he wasn't flushed with the exertion. He would have to get up in a minute or so- he wasn't done working himself to exhaustion yet. But emotion welled, unbidden, in his chest and he had to take care of that first.

As he dropped her hand, she glanced down at it then back to Alex who had suddenly started attacking the dummy. Surprised at the suddeny display of strength she opened her mouth to speak but then closed it again. The dummy she had set on fire was already burned to a crisp and the fire was almost out. Looking down at her hand she carefully started picking out the glass, going from bigger to smaller. Getting to the last one she picked it out quickly but then suddenly made a loud noise of pain as her hand started to bled again. She could still see tiny slivers, but knew she'd be unable to get them out with just her fingers. Looking a little thoughtful, with her good hand she took a white glowing bottle out of her belt and poured the contents onto her hand. It had taken awhile, but Erin had figured out more uses for the element light besides just... lighting up a place. Putting the bottle up she glanced back at her hand and seemed satisfied as the blood started to magically disappear and her larger wounds started to close up.

Alex had gotten up in time to see Erin heal her own wounds. This only put him in the shameful position of having to admit to himself that she never really needed his help. But this he rationalized with an internal "I never wanted to help her anyways. I'm just here until I contrive a way to escape".
He picked himself up and headed to the weights. There, he put his breaking point on the bench press and began pushing his limits. He wanted to literally spend one night oblivious of everything. That could be just the thing to remind of what he truly needed. He could afford no distractions.
