Azorra-Astrid, the centaur pegasus girl, was in the grassy area of the court yard, just kneeling on the grass and had one of her wings, sped out sor several yards. She was enjoying the nice warm and sunny, spring sunshine. She was in her tradicional battle armor, but did not any anything else with her currently. She was reading a history book about the Antient era,and the early middle ages, and luckily it was in her original language: Greek. She was pretty stunned at everything that happened She was also pretty much in some pain as during the fight with the shape shifter, she also got quite a beating. But that is due to the fact that she really had to restrain herself as to not injure him too much. But to Hel... he did not fight honorably so he got what he deserved. But even she had one of her wings probably broken, and got about a dozen slashes all over her human and horse body... so she was also patched up in white, all over the place... looking pretty amusing even for herself. So now, she was just relaying and reading, occationally looking around at the other students or teachers as they passed by, and also way looking at the school.
(sorry if is is so short)

Jax had never been a fan of spring. Winter was by far his favorite season and where he came from spring meant drizzly gray weather for three solid months. But after the last winter, which had been a long and certainly not fun one for him, he welcomed the warmth, and on the island it seemed it was much nicer than at home. He'd found himself spending quite some time outside lately, and today he popped out there yet again in his usual puff of smoke to enjoy the sun. This time, though, he stopped dead upon arriving, staring across the grass at the sight before him.
There were centuars at this school, too? What the hell?
Unable to help himself, he crossed the grass towards her. He knew he probably shouldn't have been interrupting her reading, and judging by how beat-up she looked he guessed she was in the tournament thing going on and therefore probably not somebody he wanted to upset, but he spoke anyway. "Hey."

She was reading about the Bravery of the Spartan 300 and the Trojan war now when all of a sudden she head somebody speak. She was lost in her thoughts on reading and longing so badly to be back home in her original era. By Hera , she has lost her true home, twice in a row... and now she was forced into this world. She will have to spend years learning about the modern era for her to use any other things that the others are using daily. When she head the male voice, she got strartled a bit and jumped slightly. Unintensionally and without realising she spoke in her native language: ancient Greek. ("Greetings, young one, can i help you? ") She spoke, smiling gently and only after a few long seconds did she understand the situation. "My apologies, this English is an original langage on my part... Greetings, young warrior. " She became fairly embarresed and gently waved at him, with a shy smile. She glanced at her book and had to hold it so, she would know where she was. Even these kinds of modern scrolls where still very new to her and did not really understand there use apart from storing writing and data. She smiled gently as she was actually able to look at him sort of like there where the same height.

"Warrior, right," he replied with a laugh. Jax was about as much of a warrior as he was a Nobel prize winner. The last time he'd so much as thrown a punch had been a year ago, and he'd been so drunk at the time it hadn't ended well. If her slip of tongue fazed him he didn't show it, instead leaning against a tree casually. A handful of wrapped, Hershey's kiss-style chocolates appeared on his hand and he unwrapped one as he spoke, revealing a bite-sized white chocolate candy dotted with red. "I didn't know centaurs or whatever existed," he commented before popping the chocolate into his mouth. His blue eyes studied her, showing nothing but idle curiosity, until he finished. "What was that, Greek?"

" Know this young one... all are warriors here. " She nodded smiling slightly, and she meant it. They had powers to deal with and some had to fight harder then others to learn control... or get used there the new powers or situation. She grew wide eyed as he formed the choclate out of thin air, right into his hands. At the same time, she grew alert and fairly afraid, her voice pretty worried as she stared at his hand that was not filled with sweets. "What trickery is that? Are you of shaman origins? " She asked in some fear. She was just scared of any and all magic, she could not help it, but after she was cursed twice, magic left a great fear in her.She slowed her eyes for a long second to try to get over her fear. Not everybody was after her to take revenge... but she somewhat felt like that. When asked, she nodded gently and was proud of her original heritage. She was proud of her culture and would never deny her culture and origin. "Aye, that was Greek, indeed. " She sais not smiling, but had warm eyes. As the other person moved a few steps, Azorra-Astrid gasped loudly and let out a grunt of pain. He stepped on her out streched wing, causing the already pretty sore limb, to jerk, but as he was stepping on it, she just could not move it with out making him stumble. " Ahh... ahh... please... step off! " She grunted and the pain of the soreness tore threght her entire right side of her body. As soon as he would get off, her wing once again jerked, out of simple reaction. She shot him a fairly annoyed look but then calmed down. "I know not, about Centaurs being alive currently... but i was but a warrior human until a few weeks past. " She admited with some saddness in her voice.

"Shit, you have wings, too?" Jax demanded in shock, jumping back. "I swear, every time I think I get used to this school," he muttered, shaking his head before raking a hand back through his shaggy dark hair. It seemed there would always be something or someone just a little more insane than he'd thought was this place's limit. At her questioning he looked down at the candies and shrugged. "No clue, I just know I can conjure. Don't worry, I can't really do shit with it, so even if I wanted to hurt you I couldn't," he added, sensing her fear. It was normal; back home, there were two reactions to his magic: fear and greed. Those who didn't immediately want to exploit it saw him as possessed by the devil, or a freak, or whatever else they could think of as an excuse to beat him down, so he just shrugged off her fear. "Are you another immortal student? 'Cause the last one I met was a dick and I'm not exactly eager to repeat that particular experience. I get the feeling you're not used to this time, though." Judging by her speech, not only the Greek but the formal way she worded things, she was either from another time period or just weird. He wondered if it was a bad thing he considered being from another time period a perfectly valid option.

She started at the choclate in his hand as it it whould instantly lash out and curse her again or cause unbearable pain or terrible hallucinations. As the other person sort of demanded her about her wings, it was very hurtful for her, she shamefully glanced at her outstreched wing. "Aye, i do... but it is not of my choosing... i never wished for wings. " She frowned and grew very embarresed and ashamed. She also moved her wings, folding it into normal position that was along her horse body. She once again glanced at the small pile of sweets in his and and gently tilted her head. She had only head about chocklate a few times scince she was in the modern era, but she never tasted it before. Her time, did not have such sweets. "These so called 'choclates'... what tastes do they possess? " The Pegasus girl asked in an uncertain tone. She then listened to him and sighed softly. " Nay... i am no immortal... and correct you are, i am not of this era... i was cursed to slumber eternally... twice cursed, twice freed from it. " Azorra-Astrid said briefly and fairly dryly. She just hated to be stuck in this dam era where she understood close to nothing of the modern world.

"Okay," he said slowly, seeming to think over everything she'd said for a moment. He popped another chocolate into his mouth and chewed slowly, his blue eyes far away as he thought. She was probably the weirdest--and most interesting--person here he'd met so far, and he knew what he said next was going to take some consideration. He didn't want her to get the wrong impression.
But he was also Jax, and he wasn't exactly good at that.
"So, three questions," he said finally, looking her dead in the eye, his tone serious. "One, what time are you from? If it's Ancient Greece you have to teach me Greek. Two, why the hell would you not want wings? And three, how have you lived all this time without experiencing the wonder and joy that is chocolate?"

When the other kid looked at her in a very serious way, she grew fairly cold herself but listened and spoke. " Aye, it is Ancient Greek, indeed.... i was born an Amazon... many Centuries past " She nodded proudly and then paused, thinking as to teach him or not. " As for you learning it, i shall consider lecturing you several lessons. " She smirked somewhat while she tilted head head. As she listened to to his next question, she lost her cool for a second. Raising her voice in frustration "I never wished to be like this!... i would be happy without wings and having the lower body of a wreched horse! " She almost yelled and in helpless anger, she slammed her fist into the ground, denting the soil. She was silent for almost a minit before she gained her composure again, but she was very ashamed and pretty sad. "Like this... like a winged centaur... I am a mere shadow of my former self... i am a prisoner in such a body and i shall never escape. " She frowned shaking her head. His next question, she barely answered. "We did not posess such sweets in my era. " She motioned towards his hand and fell silent again.

He frowned slightly as he listened to her, thinking. "Sorry," he said finally. "I know what it's like, feeling like a prisoner. Every damn day of my life." Despite his words his tone betrayed no anger or bitterness, though they were spoken more softly than how he normally spoke. He dropped down to sit across from her, folding his long legs, and his serious expression broke into a grin. "I can't believe people ever lived without chocolate. That had to suck. Here." He held out his hand, still piled with several of the chocolates, to her, waiting for her to take one. "They're white chocolate with peppermint, which is the best chocolate, I assure you. Ignore anybody who says otherwise. And no, they're not poisoned or anything, I promise. People seem to think because I magically conjure them I'll kill people with them or something."
