The closer and closer that it got to summer time, the happier Stella became. Summer time meant scandal, intrigue, excellent TV shows and not to mention lots of gossips. With a pleasant smile on her face from having a pretty good day, Stella welcomed the beach air as she stepped out of the forest. It was a sunny day, mid afternoon and there was only one reason that Stella had decided to come out to the beach during such a beautiful day.
She was going to tan.
Clad in a pale purple swim suit cover up and tennis shoes (a horrid fashion statement, but necessary for walking through the forest) - Stella made her way over to the edge of the beach, getting just close enough that she could hear the ocean and feel the wind, but not actually get hit by any waves if a high tide came in. Opening up her beach bag, the young woman pulled out a colorful flowery looking towel - laying out on the sand before sitting down and proceeding to take her tennis shoes off as well as her cover up to reveal black two piece swim suit. The two piece ranged into the more modest style of clothing, mostly because it covered all the necessary areas that needed to be covered and yet still managed to reveal a lot of skin.
Slipping on some dark shades, Stella laid back on her towel and stretched out her dark hair splaying out all around her. It was one of the rare moments where the girl wasn't dressed in an incredibly professional way, and the teen in question was silently thankful that there seemed to be no one around as she allowed the suns rays to sink into her skin.

Jayden had been doing quite a bit of research lately. He had been looking up more than enough of his share of information to get through school properly--after all, being raised in a laboratory meant that he didn't exactly have the same exposure to certain things--but one thing that he had been desperately lacking on was social awareness.
He had been doing fairly well in his classes, but when it came to actually getting into a meaningful conversation with others, he fell short. There were so many experiences that these other people had compared to him. They had gone to other countries, been born in different parts of the world, been driven around excessively in cars and trains and planes. These things were severely foreign to him, and while they did interest him, it also made him uncomfortable. He would have sighed and shrugged it off if he was anywhere else, but truly, he wanted to connect with these people. He wanted to make friends and hang out and spend time with others. He didn't want to just be cooped up forever in his room.
That's why today was the day that he let himself experience something new. He had told himself that once a week, he would go somewhere different or do something out of the ordinary for him. Today, he promised himself that he would go to the beach, mostly because there was one so close to campus. It was supposed to be a popular destination, right? He wondered how many people there were going to be here. It made his heart thump to think of the pictures he had seen online. Drones of people lined up, almost shoulder-to-shoulder sometimes. Small children splashing around in the water and screaming with happiness. Of course it made him nervous, but at the same time, he was excited. He was going to be able to meet so many more people and expand his horizons!
When he arrived, though, the massive poundings in his heart nearly came to a halt. Was there really only one person here? His instant reaction was to walk back to campus, ashamed of putting himself through the trouble of this, but he had made a promise to himself, right? He was going to do this... whether there was one person or one hundred people. He had done so much research and was even wearing a new pair of turquoise swim trunks and brown sandals that he'd gotten just for this occasion. His chest was left bare both to give his wings a rest from shoving them through tattered shirts and because most of the men he had seen in pictures were not wearing them, either.
Cautiously, Jayden approached the girl, unsure of what to say. His nerves were getting the better of him. It was normal for him to start a conversation with enthusiasm, but adrenaline was still rushing quickly through his veins. Once he reached her, he swallowed. "H-hey there."

Stella had closed her eyes as she laid back on the sand, there were some perks to being on an island - some of which included the fantastic beach. As she relaxed, Stella thought about some things that had been happening to her the past few weeks - including a ridiculous crush she had on that red headed boy.
Letting out a small sigh, Stella moved her thoughts to the other people she had interacted with - forcing herself to not think about Adrian. She didn't want to admit it before, but after long consideration she had realized she liked the way he looked and she needed to get over it fast. As she continued to be buried in her own thoughts, the brief sound of another shook her out of her own mind and Stella sat up slightly - looking over to where the voice had come from.
Moving her shades up so that they sat upon her head and pulled back some of her hair, Stella examined the boy momentarily before responding. "Hello," she said to the stranger easily - it appeared this was another student she hadn't gotten the chance to meet yet. Watching him for a moment, her eyes drifted over to the wings on the boys back and she offered up a small smile in the process. He looked very uncertain, "Would you like to tan with me?" Stella offered to the boy then, curious about the wings that were on his back.
