The first few days of adjusting to a new schedule has been utterly exhausting if Mona had anything to say about it. She walked down the hall, eyeing every single door to for her room number, each one rising her annoyance bit by bit with the constant sameness of all the leading numbers, and the dull frames that keep on drawing her eyes to similar likenesses on a repeat. They could at least change up the doors, or design it to be less repetitive. Mona did think that over time, she'll might be familiar with the place enough to know which door is which, but that doesn't help her current situation, as she doesn't seem to recall one simple thing at the moment. It was just a number, one number, that's it. As she wandered down the hallway, she could feel herself being drained of life due to being away from her hobbies, oh the horror. She sarcastically groaned with a very fake likeness of pain.
She couldn't recall her dorm number, even though she knows that she had been there before a few times, hell, she even slept there just this morning. She didn't think that a stroll out on a cloudy day would lead into short-term memory loss.

Stepping out of her dorm room with her bow, quiver of arrows and some books in tow - Delia was playing a dangerous balancing act. Angling her body in such a manner so as to close her dorm door behind her while carrying so many things in her hands, Delia fumbled at the last second as the door finally shut - her books and bow slipping out of her hands. Squeaking in surprise and pain (since the girl happened to be wearing sandals that day), Delia took a few steps back - hesitating for just a moment before bending down to start working on picking up all the things that she had dropped.
As she did so, Delia looked up briefly - noticing a girl a few feet down the hallway facing her. A silent plead entered into the girls eyes then, on one hand hoping that Mona would help her - on the other hand equally hoping that she wouldn't bother with her at all so that she would have to suffer from the judgement at another persons hand.

Mona witnessed Delia tumbling out from one of the rooms with a bunch of books and a bow falling to the floor. The girl was fumbling about and began to gather up her things when her and Mona made eye-contact, which made the witch somewhat sympathetic to the girl in front of her. She stood there staring back at Delia, wondering if she should help this clumsy girl, or just continuing on her way to her recently-proclaimed safe haven. But with the pleading gaze that is both displaying two opposite emotions, she sighed once more, squatted her knees down on the ground, and started to help pick up the girl's books.
"Hey, don't carry things if you're going to just drop them like that." Mona complained, "I mean, be glad that you weren't carrying anything fragile, or..." Her voice trailed off as she hovered her hand over Delia's bow. A slight tingle of of faint magical energy brushed against her fingertips, which made Mona look at the bow with a curious face. 'Oh right, I forgot where I was living at, duh.' she thought to herself. She picked up the bow along with the book into her arms. She awaited Delia to pick up the rest of the books.

Delia's silent plea was answered, the girl turning pink as Mona started to help her pick up her things. "I-I k-k-kn-know." Delia replied anxiously, her stammering coming through quite dramatically thanks to her embarrassment. As Mona moved her hand toward her bow, Delia looked at the girl nervously for a second - noting the hesitation. As she picked up some of her books though, Delia finished gathering her things and stood up - holding them tight to her chest.
It wasn't until Delia was completely looking Mona in the face that the girl suddenly recognized her. "O-Oh! Y-Y-You're m-m-my ro-roomate, ar-aren't you?" Delia asked Mona then, waiting for the girl to hand back her bow and other books. They hadn't been staying together too long, but Delia recalled seeing glimpses of the girl a few days back. Despite this though, Delia still hadn't had the chance to formally introduce herself. "I-I'm D-Delia." The teen introduced herself then, hoping that she would be sharing a room with a nice person instead of the mean girl she had last year.

Mona gave Delia a look of utter annoyance, tact on with her previously 'already-annoyed-from-life-but-I'm-helping-someone' face. She stacked on the books that she collected onto Delia's small stack, and after, held out her bow for her to pick up. "Just be glad that I'm not a complete bag of shit, you do look pretty vulnerable right now." She awkwardly started to scratch her neck as she looked away, staring at the doors around the hall. "Uhhhh..." she started.
Mona had something clawing inside her head now that she had a closer look at Delia. She seems familiar somehow, and her recognition was proven right when Delia pipped up suddenly about roommates, and then Mona realized that the girl in front of her was her new roommate, which means the door she came out of is... She quickly had her gaze locked on to the door where Delia closed, and behold, the number came back out from the depths of her memories and squeezed right back into place of 'stuff I need to know.'
"Oh, roommate, uh... yeah," Mona flustered out in a response as she felt her cheeks warming up, she hadn't prepared for this. She quickly regained her composure, and watched her analytically this time. "Ahem! Nice... uh, I'm Mona," she stopped for a quick moment to scratch her nose, and attempting to look cool, "I guess I'm your new roommate... um..."
'Aw shoitaloins, think Mona think! Whattosay Whattosay...' Her thoughts her trying to think up some words, and in the result, she decided to continue her introduction. "I'm a witch."

Delia frowned at the girl, thankful that she had stopped to help her - but uncertain due to her blunt and in your face comment. With all her books back in her hands, Delia reached out and grabbed her bow as well slinging it around her shoulder in a fluid motion. "W-Well, th-thank y-y-y-you for h-he-helping me." Delia said to the girl, giving her a look of confusion as Mona seemed uncertain about her remembering that they were roommates.
At mention of her power, Delia looked surprised. Opening her mouth and closing it for a second, the young teen was suddenly more conscious of her bow and arrows then ever. It was incredibly interesting to her that the girl was a witch, but she had no idea how to express interest in other people's powers nowadays for fear of them doing a complete 360 and being upset with her.
Licking her lips, Delia frowned - her face scrunching up in thought. "I-I... um... I en-enchant a-a-a-arrows." That was the simplest way she could think to explain her power. Delia was thinking simple was the best too, because she had no idea if this girl was already getting annoyed with her because of her own trouble speaking. "I-It's ni-nice t-t-t-to meet you t-too." Delia said then, as was per customary in any social interaction.

Mona took a confident guess that her roommate isn't the most sociable girl on the island. She did admit that Delia was oddly cute with her embarrassed look on her face. Hell, Mona was seeing glimmers of her early days when she was just as shy as her roommate, though without the stammering that wasn't too annoying to deal with. Her interest in Delia was heighten when she make another adorable face to react to Mona's profession. Oh she was going to have a lot of fun messing around with her new plaything.
Her confidence rose greatly as she replied, "Well Delia," she then gradually got up close to her and wrung one arm around her neck, leaning gently at her without being too intimidating, "Witches are drawn to magical phenomena, like enchanting. Arrows you say? Well well well welly well well welly well, you got my attention." She chuckled to herself. "How about telling your newest roomie about what your arrows do? I'm quite a magic weeb." Well, she was nerdy on a lot of other things, but Mona thought that maybe she should just take it slow. Delia might not want to be shown the dark side of the internet.

Delia shied away slightly from the physical contact as Mona wrapped her arm around her shoulders, inwardly Delia could feel her anxiety rising with each word Mona spoke - wondering to herself if the girl was just going to try and use her or if she was actually a new friend that meant well.
"I-I-I do-don't really k-know h-h-how to e-explain it." Delia said to Mona then, feeling very uncomfortable in her own skin in this particular situation. "I-It j-just s-s-sort of h-h-happens wh-when I focus?" Delia's words came out more as a question directed toward herself. She never really had a family member to explain her power to her unlike her brother Constantine, who had several aunt's and uncle's that were shape-shifters and knew exactly how to help him. Delia's own lineage was slightly foreign even to herself.
"Th-that is... m-my a-a-arrows just t-turn p-people in-in to animals." Delia finally said then, giving Mona a very uncertain look as she spoke.

Mona's interests continued to rise as Delia explained her powers. Despite messing around with other magics in her earlier years, she has never experienced drastic transformations akin to people becoming animals. She decided right then and there that her new roommate is a keeper, yep. Besides, her roommate was quite the cutie too, so there's a bonus. Oh boy, Mona could feel the harassment plans generating inside her head already. She quickly snapped herself back to reality when she felt a little drool from her lips and swiftly recomposed herself.
In an attempt to not look like a creep, she continued the conversation when she let go of Delia. "Animals? Eh heh heh heh heh. Seriously? I bet no one messes with you then huh?" She already knew that sounded unprofessional, and to look cool, she stopped to gather her thoughts, then said, "Ahem! W-well, I guess that is a... wicked power. What I meant is that you must be a seriously talented... uh...," Mona snapped her fingers in thought, "enchanter! Yes, enchanted if you so choose to title yourself as that profession..."
As her words dropped out of hearing range, Mona internally screamed when she realized how pathetic her words were, or at least to her high standards. Her face was getting redder, which added silent volume to her internal screaming. Mona turned her head at an angle to avoid embarrassment.
