FLOWEY
NICKNAME N/A AGE 25 (In flowey years... At least they're roughly the same.) BIRTHDAY ? SPECIES Flower ETHNICITY Marigold GENDER Male SEXUALITY Asexual POSITION Librarian POWER Flowey's Main power is creating vines from the soil beneath him. The larger the area, the bigger they are. Their primary use is transportation around the library, and to carry books. He may only use a maximum of eight vines at once. After that, well, his helper is going to have to help. When it comes to movement, they're fairly fast, and sharp. While they can be used to harm others, they're generally used for pacifistic behavior, such as managing books, transporting, and general communication. As long as he is in soil, it has a indefinite time span. Out of the ground, and it only lasts, at best, ten minutes.
His secondary power is to manipulate his face into faces he has seen before. While it is not entirely accurate, it is helpful in quieting students down. It is also used for comedic purposes, to calm down frightened students, or to merely pass the time in the library. It tends to have a time limit of 40 minutes, with a 'cool down' of 10 minutes, an extra 5 for every 20 minutes over the limit. APPEARANCE Flowey is a Marigold-like flower only 1'4" in height in his pot. He has seven total petals, three of which are torn and jagged like, but all petals are colored in a darker yellow color, while his 'face' is a paler yellow. His eyes are a clear blue, often seen as reflective. His stem and leaves are dark green, with muddy yellow accents. He tends to have a melancholic look on his face, looking away frequently. He sits in a Terracotta pot, designed with yellow and red hearts along the bottom. PERSONALITY Flowey, in personality, is a quiet, and reserved person, but has a bit of a snarky attitude. He usually acts affectionate towards his friends, or students. He is a bit of a book worm, often reading on his own time, or with his closest friends, other than that, he tends to act grumpy if he doesn't get enough sun light or sleep. He lacks the sadistic behavior his appearance would suggest. Very friendly in nature, he loves to chat the day away with friends and/or family when not working. Towards his close friends, he's very affectionate, often wrapping a vine around their hand as a sign of comfort, or a simple statement, which will vary on pressure. More often than not, Flowey is willing to read aloud on days where he's feeling fine, often to entertain his companions. With the wave of a leaf, or a simple remark, Flowey always has something to say to his friends. On that note, he is also very protective of them, which may prompt moments of anger. Towards students, he's friendly and helpful, often pointing them in the way they need to go, or helping them to find a book. However, he gets annoyed easily if you don't let him sleep, so it's best if you leave him be or speak with one of his helpers. Towards people he dislikes, he tends to come of as cold or sarcastic, often to the point of blatantly insulting them. Pushing him beyond this point prompts violence or fights, which are often resolved very quickly. WEAKNESSES Flowey is a very arrogant person if you rile him up, often leaving him open for a surprise attack or two. However, it's not advised you repeat it again, he doesn't fall for the same tricks twice. He also tends to be very slow when moving on his vines, much like a person walking. SO if you plan to get away from him, just run, he can't catch up to you. His vines seem to have a max range of 120 feet in any direction, so stay out of that zone and you should be fine, hopefully. He isn't very strong when not using his piercing attacks, so you won't have much to worry about. STRENGTHS Flowey is incredibly intelligent from all the books he's read, so most questions he can answer, however, he does not know everything. He also seems to be incredibly patient, and seems to be able to handle most situations. He is also rather empathetic of others, often listening to them speak, and willing to talk things out if he absolutely must with them. HISTORY Flowey's creation was one of magic, a single flower enchanted with life. During this time, Flowey would wander, and explore, earning permanent scars from scuffles with wild creatures. He'd go far out of his way to see the rest of the world around him, and find out where he grew up. After all, everyone needed a place to grow and live.
Flowey grew up in the less dense wooded areas of France, where flowers bloomed everywhere. A few years after Flowey had grown, he was roughly eight at the time, he came upon an open green-house style library, the books, along with various plants, nestled towards the back, and massive planters in the front. To him, it was fascinating. He'd spend days, weeks, even months there, reading, watching, learning. Books had become a passion of his, as he learned proper care of them, studied from various theories, and even got to enjoy some practice as a librarian.
However, this enjoyment wouldn't last, as the book store had closed down, due to health reasons. Flowey, on his own, wandered not only France, but neighboring countries, to find a place to learn, read, and study. Then he caught wind of Foresta Academy. An Academy! There had to be books of all kinds there, they were even looking for a librarian! Flowey felt himself smile for the first time in a while. He raced off, in the general direction of the academy, excited to hopefully help there.
Thoughts of books, of all shapes and sizes, whizzed in his mind as he nearly raced past a boy with green skin heading in a set direction. As it turned out, they were both headed the same way, but for different reasons. The boy was a student there, just arriving for the first time, and Flowey himself was there for a job. They talked as they traveled, learning each other's lives, interests, and hobbies. As it turned out, they both liked books, so Flowey figured the boy would visit often, to read or study. This time was an ambition for both of them. Art by myself
