Despite being in a dorm that specialized in the maths and sciences, Graham was still required to have one P.E class much to his own chagrin. Making his way toward the indoor pool of Foresta, Graham had checked in with his fitness teacher beforehand. He had decided on swimming for his credit, because for the most part it was a solitary sport. He wasn't required to be on a team and therefore no one had to rely on his physical poweress (which he believed he lacked).
Clad in dark gray swim shorts, black sandals and a navy blue hoodie - Graham stopped at the three feet end of the pool and proceeded to take everything off except of course for his swim shorts. Setting his towel on top of it all, the young man dipped his hand in the water to check the temperature feeling satisfied at the fact that the pool was heated today.
Sticking his feet in first, Graham lowered himself into the pool water - unlike some who would simply jump in. He had picked a section of the pool that appeared to be designated for any student that wanted to do lap swim and silently hoped that he could finish up his swimming before anyone else came in. As it stood there were only about three to five other people in the pool, either finishing up their exercising or getting ready to do so.
Turning back toward his clothes, Graham reached into his hoodie pocket - pulling out a pair of goggles and putting them on in an almost awkward manner. Placing his towel over his items once more then, Graham turned back toward the rest of the pool - taking a deep breath and submerging himself in the water. Placing his feet against the edge of the pool, Graham pushed off and started his lap in a stream line - transitioning quickly into freestyle. While not exactly a master swimmer, Graham had a basic knowledge of how to get from one end of the pool to the other. He knew the proper movements of his hands and when was the right moment to take a breath and when to hold it, his knowledge of this had also played a major factor in why he had picked swimming above every other sport.

Winter was definitely the siren's least favorite season. Smaller bodies of water were all frozen, and larger bodies were so cold that they might as well have been frozen. Plus, Marina had grown up practically living in the warm waters of the coasts of Bermuda and Florida; she was completely unused to colder weather. Thus, she had begun to make regular trips to the indoor swimming pool. In her mind, if the staff or founder had done anything right, it was properly maintaining a heated indoor pool. Dressed in a skimpy two-piece that showed off her figure and with a giant white towel draped around her shoulders, Marina made her way to the pool.
When she arrived at her destination, she was somewhat displeased to see that there were already a few people there. However, as she tossed her towel carelessly onto a small table a few feet away from the pool, they all exited the room one by one until only one boy was left swimming laps. Seeing as how she did not have the ability to command him to leave, she figured she might as well practice her singing. (It was too bad her song couldn't compel men to obey her orders, only lure them to her.) With a slightly wicked grin, the girl dove into the deep end of the pool with the grace of, well, a siren.
As soon as her fingertips pierced the surface of the water, she could feel the transformation beginning. The slits on her neck opened and oxygen rushed into her system, as if taking a deep, relaxing breath without the use of nostrils. While some might consider their legs being bound together by magic a noose or hindrance to their mobility, it was the exact opposite for her. With the tail, Marina could burst through the water with immense speed and fluidity with which no human swimmer could compete. Her swimwear had already began to transform into the silky tendrils that wrapped her torso whenever she transformed, which was why she hadn't bothered to spend time choosing an outfit.
The moment her tail had fully formed, she swam upward so that only her head and the top of her shoulders, which bore the kelp-like siren mark, were above the water. Marina opened her mouth and let the melody pour out. It was sultry and tempting, with an unearthly beauty. If there were words, they were indistinguishable, and if you listened too closely to find out, it would only lure you to her that much faster. There was a slight vibrating sensation in the air, as if her song was visibly shaking the molecules around her.

Graham continued on with his lap swimming, not completely aware of who was coming in and out of the pool. In his mind the sooner he finished the sooner he could go back to the peace and quiet of his own dorm room, not having to deal with people or the loud noises they typically brought with them.
As he swam though, there was a sudden vibration in the air that caused Graham to stop in the twelve foot section of the pool. The sound of someone singing came to his ears then, normally music being a welcome sound caused the young man to frown as a sudden and extreme pain started to reverberate across his skull. Grabbing the wall near him, Graham took a deep breath in an attempt to gain his bearings. The young man looked around then, trying to find the source of the singing in hopes of maybe getting them to stop.
As his eyes landed on what appeared to be a woman in the water, Graham blinked rapidly as his power worked into overtime to protect him against the alluring effects of the stranger's song. "Could you please... stop?" Graham gasped the words out as he used one hand to hold onto the wall and another to grip his forehead in an attempt to stop the pain that seemed to echo throughout his cranium.
