Serenity listened quietly to Cade as he talked, noticing the subtle change in him - it seemed at least whatever drug he was on was slowly wearing off by now. As he revealed to her that he had been kidnapped by a popular gang, the thought had her resisting the urge to laugh. An assassin and a gangster just laying on the floor of a living room, what an odd pairing they were. As Cade moved though Serenity took that chance to pull her gown down a bit over her thighs and also moving to make it so Cade wasn't laying on her anymore. Sitting up, Serenity shook her head at Cade "Come on then, you better not throw up in my living room. The kitchen is just a few feet away."
The teacher pushed herself up then, standing up and holding her hand out toward Cade. "If you're going to throw up you might as well do it in a sink and then I'll give you some coffee afterward. Think you can manage until then?" Serenity offered up a small smile then, appearing to be a bit tired from their whole conversation.

The mathematical mobster copied the actions of his co-worker and pulled himself off of the ground, though he was definitely dizzier than she was in his movements. His head wavered from one side to the next, but he was able to get his bearings relatively straight forward. A simple path from the living room to the kitchen couldn’t possibly be that difficult could it? Well, picking up a cup wasn’t a hard task either and yet he was unable to do that a while ago. He much preferred his more comfortable position atop of Serenity, but given that she was stood up too he wasn’t getting that back anytime soon. “Easy peasy…” he shrugged lacking any doubt in his tone, a surprising opposite compared to their last conversation.
With an overly confident step forward, Cade began his strides for the kitchen. His posture was absolutely excellent until he reached the borderline of the two rooms. As he crossed over the two plains, a small collection of bile and salt water came barreling up and out his mouth. A small misstep that threw his entire plan of action off the rails as he stumbled to the nearest counter to hold himself up. As he connected though, he upchucked the remainder of the ocean water from his stomach and allowed it to gather around the floor. “Well, if you disregard the last thing you said, I did it. WOOOOoooo…..” and with those words of great wisdom, the last of his consciousness faded away. Given the way he was propped up against the counter he could sleep against it without much trouble of falling over.

The next morning, Serenity's living room looked quite cozy. The woman in question was sitting up in one of the recliners she had in the room with Cade laid out on her couch with a blanket thrown over him and a pillow stuffed under his head in a quite sloppy sort of manner. The mess that Cade had made in the living room had been cleaning up quite easily and Serenity had taken it upon herself to drink the entire pot of coffee that she had made knowing that Cade wouldn't be waking up anytime soon. She had indeed been tempted to just prop him up outside her house, but there was something (she couldn't quite pinpoint it) that had made her just throw him on her couch instead.
Over against a wall to side of Serenity was a surprisingly modern looking radio that had a man's voice coming from it. It seemed that the woman in question was listening to any audio book of some sort, the man reading it out loud though didn't really do much to make the words seem exciting. That didn't matter much to Serenity though, she soaked in the information while peacefully sipping on her coffee. She was lucky that she had a day off, but doubted that she would even be able to sleep whenever Cade left. Their conversation had left her uneasy and she wasn't looking forward to figuring out if Cade remembered any of it when he woke up.

Despite being allowed to sleep unlike his fellow teacher, that didn’t necessarily mean he had a more pleasant night. His peaceful sleep was only an outer guise. Regardless of how long the radio in Serenity’s house had been going on for, Cade only began to pick up on its noise recently which meant his state of sleep was weakening. Even though he was quite aware that he was awake, he allowed his eyelids to remain shut as he listened to the oddly droning voice in the background. It took him a couple minutes before he finally broke open his crusty eyes and lazily inspected the room. He hardly felt well rested in the slightest, in fact he could feel the signals of a headache growing in the back of his mind.
Cade slowly slipped out of the blanket that he was surprised he was even provided. Along with that, he was surprised that he was still in Serenity’s house and not in a ditch in the middle of nowhere. He wasn’t even sure if the island had any ditches and he still expected to wake up in one. She’d find a way. His face spoke all he needed to in regards to his mood. Still slightly dazed and still plenty of regrets lingering in his mind. The question now was what among those regrets actually took place in reality and which of those did he just imagine either during his high or sleep.
“Well, did you have fun? I sure as hell didn’t” he rasped as he began to sluggishly shake his head. “I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied until I’ve personally punched every drug dealer on this island in the nads” he continued as he rubbed the entire surface of his face with his palm. “Can I get a recap of what happened last night please, I need to sort out what happened and what didn’t. I passed out in the kitchen, right?”

Serenity turned her head toward Cade as the man began to speak, sliding a small smile toward him. "You came banging on my door and stumbled into my house. I got you salt water and made some coffee, you only managed to drink the salt water and then you threw up in my kitchen. I cleaned it up and laid you out on my couch and here we are." Not surprising at all, Serenity cut out quite a few important parts of what had happened last night. If he remembered, then fine she would talk about it - otherwise the woman decided that she wouldn't bring it up. "If you want coffee, I already drank all of it. You'll just have to make some for your own."
Already she started with the unforgiving tone, turning her head away from him as she did so. "Or you can just leave and go back to your own home." Serenity rested her chin on the palm of her hand then, drawing her legs up beneath her which caused her to sit in a surprisingly cute manner. She had changed out of her night gown and was now wearing her typical dark colored shorts, equally dark colored tank top understand a green cotton jacket. All in all Serenity looked pretty comfortable with herself, at least comfortable enough to not wear shoes inside her own home.

Cade gripped his chin and ritualistically cracked his neck bones and continued to stretch on afterwards. He slowly began his ascension off his temporary bed (that he’ll probably only be able to call that once and never again) as he listened on to Serenity’s brief breakdown of the previous night’s events. Brief was hardly even the word to use it was more like a gloss over. It didn’t really matter though, all he was interested in knowing was the lineup of events not exclusively what happened on every milestone. He was quiet up until Serenity finished.
“Inviting as always” he chuckled a bit as he explored the kitchen, thinking that the cup of coffee was admirable advise for the moment. A sudden spring of déjà vu caught him as he passed by the counter he crashed upon. Her words and his memory matched up pretty well, so anything that took place afterwards was more than likely a figment of his imagination. “What, you think I’m going to claw your eyes out or something?” he questioned with a slight jingle in his voice.
He began to shuffle around her counter afterwards, grabbing the items he would need for a cup of coffee. “Okay, so nothing really happened after I passed out in the kitchen. That’s makes way more sense than… well never mind, you really don’t want to know. I knew the real you wouldn’t be into that kind of stuff” he echoed through the kitchen. The question now was would she allow him to make a cup of coffee or was her friendly invitation a slip of the tongue. He might have heard her admit she enjoyed his company, but he still wasn’t sure if she knew he’d remember that part. What was the worst she could do? Well, besides beat the tar out of him, kick him out of the house, call the cops, call someone else to beat the tar out of him, or break the coffee machine. The last one would be a joke on her, it was her own coffee machine. It was too early in the morning for him to think straight.

Serenity let out a long sigh as Cade teased her, realizing that the man was back to his usual self. Standing up from her chair, she followed him into the kitchen taking a drink of her coffee - finishing the cup off and setting it into her sink. From the looks of it, the woman kept even her kitchen decently clean. "And what's that?" Serenity asked Cade then, falling for what seemed like a more than obvious trap. The lack of sleep had her mind working at a less than sharper pace than usual. "You didn't have any dirty dreams about me, did you?" Serenity then asked Cade suspiciously - moving past him over to her dining table, taking a seat in one of the chairs by it.
"Well, I guess it wouldn't be surprising with how hard you tripping. On what though, I never really bothered to figure it out." Serenity clicked her tongue then, crossing her legs and putting her elbow on her table so as to rest her chin in the palm of her hand once more. "After your coffee, I'm expecting you to leave."

Cade raised a brow as Serenity passed by him in the kitchen, drinking from her coffee mug as she did. How much coffee did she make overnight if she had enough to last her all the way through it? The next question was how she had just enough for herself, but none extra. Perhaps she forgot about it and the swig she had just taken was incredibly cold. Such questions no one would ask besides morning after bad trip Cade.
He popped the items into the machine and let it do its business. Its business required time though, so a brief chat with Serenity at the table would not doubt kill it. He wandered into the dinning section of the room soon after she had taken her seat. “Oh please, if was even remotely true I wouldn’t be able to walk so easily now would I? Even if I did would you really want to know about it?” he rhetorically questioned as he sat himself down on the other end of the table. “And please, the two of us. We’re co-workers we have to keep it professional” he continued to answer, though this time with a wide smile.
“Absolutely, coffee and I’ll be on my way. Can’t expect me to just waltz on out of here without some sort of energy to boost my system. You have one of the slowest coffee makers, I might add.” His line of vision kept altering between the machine and the woman in front of him.

Serenity listened as Cade sat down, quite a distance from her she noticed. It seemed he didn't remember much of last night just as she had suspected, or he was hiding something from her. The thought made her pinch the bridge of her nose, the action making the woman in question look quite annoyed. "Please, entertain me with this supposed thing you think I did. Or was it something that I wouldn't do?" Serenity shook her head then, stretching her arms out a bit as if the action would help her wake up anymore than she already was. "I hardly think professional was what you would call your little incident last night, throwing up in my kitchen that is." Serenity added on the last bit, just in case the other teacher in question might get any other ideas.
Stopping herself then, Serenity frowned for a moment. Why was she even thinking like that in the first place? Sure, they had already touched lips twice - but it wasn't like either one of them wanted too in the first place. Plus, she didn't even have complete layout of his face in her mind yet - there were still details that she needed to figure out. "I believe my coffee maker works perfectly fine, thank you very much." Serenity added then, sliding an irritated expression in Cade's general direction.

Not even ten minutes of being awake and Cade already placed Serenity into an annoyed mood. She wasn’t exactly a difficult person to read either, as soon as she seemed peeved it lit up on her face like she was bomb ready to burst. By the looks of it his coffee wasn’t even ready yet, how disappointing. He just shrugged at her inquiry. “You know it’s funny that the first conclusion you leapt to was something sexual. I could have easily said something like ‘I had a dream where you were jump on a pogo stick and flipping pancakes’ and it’d be all the same. Something you wouldn’t want to know about and something I wouldn’t expect you to be into. Now that leaves us with your mind, perhaps it is you who is having dirty dreams about me. Maybe not last night, but perhaps on previous nights or…”
Before he could finish his sentence though, the coffee maker buzzed to indicate that his cup was ready. He signaled to her for a moment, but instantly remembered how stupid a gesture that was to her. “I stand corrected” he replied as he wandered past her chair. His head began to bob back and forth like he had some sort of tune trapped inside his head and he couldn’t release it. He grabbed a mug and poured himself a good portion. He stared down at the hot liquid that was present in front of him. The pure blackness of the raw coffee showed his reflection back at him. He set the cup down for a brief moment and swooped back around to the dining room coiling his neck around Serenity’s. “Or maybe you’ll be having them tonight” he slyly whispered next to her ear. He swiftly wrapped his arm down her neckline to hold her in place while he dug his lips into hers. It was sort of an awkward position to be performing such actions from and if she really wanted or had the strength to she could possibly flip him onto the table. It was dangerous to try, but Cade was relying on her tiredness to be her downfall.

Serenity chewed on her tongue briefly as Cade teased her once more, staying silent even as her coffee maker went off. Was there really any point in trying to argue with him when she felt so tired? She listened as he went past her chair then, the silence after he had gotten his coffee causing her to sit up just a bit in her chair. It was when he came to whisper in her ear though, that caused Serenity to turn her head toward him with an indignant sort of expression. "Who are you kid-" Her response was cut off by his lips and while she was not unfamiliar with the sensation of having lips on her own - the intention that was put behind it was all to obvious to her now.
In truth it had been quite awhile since she had kissed anyone, much less done anything else romantic with a person. The woman stayed still for a moment then, seeming almost confused about the whole situation. If she had been fully awake, needless to say she would have probably broken one of his bones by now. The calm of needing sleep though, allowed for other emotions to pass through her body. The first of course, was a surge of electricity that seemed to form wherever their bodies were touching. So surprised by the whole situation, the woman let out a light noise that sounded more like a whimper than anything else.
At that point Serenity knew it would have been wiser to break the kiss off, but some strange thing had her moving so that she could stand up, but with their lips still connected the whole time. Even standing up though it seemed as though Cade was still bent at a small angle thanks to the fact that she was a few inches shorter than him. When they were fully facing each other though, Serenity moved her hands to Cade's hips (an oddly masculine gesture) and finally started to return the kiss that he had started.

She didn’t bash his head in? She didn’t flip him onto the table in rage and suplex him like he was some sort of ragdoll? Well, perhaps Cade was better at scouting and reading people than he originally thought. His assumptions of sexuality were meant to only be teases originally, but Serenity’s continuation of their kiss suggested a bit more than that. Given how well he knew the woman, he was half expecting there to be some sort of trick involved in this, like as soon as he became too comfortable she was going to head-butt him or something. That didn’t seem to be the case, at least not the case for the immediate future.
Now that the cat was out of the bag though, there was so much for him to say so much he needed to admit in this very second as it all rushed to his head. He wanted to disconnect, but another part of him wouldn’t dare, not until he saw to it to the end that she wanted it to. Although it couldn’t hurt to break it off bit by bit and get a small group of words to her. Yet another time in his life where he wished he had telepathy instead of the power he actually had. He created a mental timer for when to release, but every time it came close to a millisecond it mysteriously reset.
“You know… I could make… those future… dreams of yours… a reality” he spoke at every opportunity he could get for breath. His eyes briefly wavered over to the mug he left behind on the counter. The deal was after he had his cup of coffee and as far as he was concerned that cup was going nowhere with no hurry.
Due to the nature of repositioning, Cade’s arms were somewhat scrunched up against his own body and hardly free to move wherever he wanted them in the same sense as his opposite, but it was barely a nuisance. As all good things do come to an end, the natural flow of things finally broke off their kiss. It was either that or Cade. “So, was I on the money with my prediction? Even if you say yes, could you possibly provide me with more proof?” he questioned in slow tones as he nodded his head subtly.

Cade's words came through some sort of infatuated fog that Serenity had created in her mind. The color had risen in her face and the woman couldn't help but think that it was nice feeling the gentle touch of someone else, was she even awake at this point? "Stop... talking" She really didn't want to break the kiss, practically feeling the electricity travel through her body and try to break out at the tips of her toes. After another few seconds though, the kiss broke and Serenity was left stepping back about a foot to place a hand on the table behind her.
Needless to say the woman in question looked quite frazzled, "What are you even talking about?" She started off - her voice hoarse with sleep and just a bit of sexual desire. "Even though I returned your kiss right there, I wouldn't flatter yourself so much. I would have to be able to see you to dream about you and I use my fingers as my eyes. It'd take a lot more of me touching you for me to even start to dream about you." Serenity's mouth dropped then at her own words, looking almost embarrassed about the whole situation. She could have snapped his neck, but instead she just made out with the man. "What has gotten into me now," Serenity shook her head and took a deep breath - quickly collecting her bearings.
"Never mind all of that anyways, just get out. Get out of my house, you were the one that said we needed to professional anyway." The woman said then attempting to turn Cade's words around on him. She must be going mad from lack of sleep now, Serenity figured that much. The sooner he left, the sooner she would go to sleep and the sooner that she would be in the right state of mind.

Despite the fact that the woman disproved on both a scientific and logical level, Cade still kept his grin all the same. A fisherman would call this the perfect catch, he used just the right bait and reeled in at a good moment. Gold stars were no doubt in order. Though he wasn’t quite sure if her sexual innuendos were purposeful or not. Her style of reaction suggested they weren’t, but even a tired person would pick up on her words given the situation. She was probably just trying to cover up for the sake of her macho independent guise, even if he still knew her secrets.
“Hey, if I don’t flatter myself who will? Besides, it’s your dreams I can be whatever you want me to be regardless of my true physical form. The intention is all the same.” he shrugged as he spun around the counter once again to retrieve his cup of wakeup call. If he was going to be booted out of the door anytime soon, he might as well get a mouth full of the substance before then. He probably shouldn’t overstay his welcome anyway, at this point he could do all that was in his power to irritate Serenity in her own humble abode, but he should save that for another time. As much as he seemed to ignore most of the events from last night, they still happened and while Serenity’s feeling for him was an outcome of the night, so were a couple other things he had to still explore. After all, he saw himself die and that was still a fairly haunting thought to consider whether he was on drugs or not.
He guzzled down the cup of pure blackness, only realizing that he was pure and strong caffeine afterwards, but it was a minor misstep and only a slight regret. “You need time to think, I get it” he answered as he placed his cup down once more. He shuffled around the counter for the fifth time that morning to meet up with the blind woman once more. He gave her a slight peck on the cheek and repelled backward slightly. “Short, sweet, professional. I’m all about it. Nothing really stopping us there” he swiftly spoke as he began to walk off as she commanded.
He stopped short at the threshold to the woman’s living room and twisted himself back around. “Oh and if you’re interested in borrowing my body, don’t hesitate to ask. If you’d like to know what a part of my body looks like I’d be more than happy to fill you in.”

Serenity chewed her tongue as Cade spoke in such a flirty manner, "I prefer realism to fantasy." The woman managed to grind out the words as if she were resisting the urge to punch him now. In fact, it looked like she could at any moment the way that her hand on the table had slowly started to ball up into a fist. His words though seemed like a distance echo as the man moved closer to her once more and kissed her cheek. If he had lingered any longer, no doubt Serenity would have aimed a punch at his face. His backing off though caused the woman's shoulder to lower just a bit from the tense position that they were already in.
"Believe me, when I want to know I will find out on my own. I don't need your assistance for it." The words came out strange and Serenity couldn't help but mutter a curse to herself. Why out of all times was she letting him twist her up so much now? Their interaction had been perfectly fine until now. "Just leave already, I'm sick of hearing your voice."
