Jaime ventured into the crowd, trying not to step on any toes. Once he got close enough to the front to see what was going on, his blood ran cold. And then hot- his temper rising and getting the better of him. He grabbed the nearest person, a man who had been waving money in the air and shouting at one of the people in the arena below, and shook him violently. "<DOES THIS SEEM RIGHT TO YOU?!?>" His voice rang out in an odd clarity compared to the rest of the yelling an hubbub going on. In his anger, he'd reverted back to his native tongue.
The man was startled enough to drop the bills, which were snapped up by his neighbors. This pissed him off and he aimed a punch at Jaime's face. Jaime took it well, tipping his face so it glanced off his jaw. He shoved the man away from himself and very nearly reeled into another fellow. This activity was enough to set up a distraction right next to the arena. Jaime hit the barrier between the stands and the arena and it sparked with several lights. Another onlooker grabbed his backpack and yanked him back into the thick of things.
In the midst of all of this fighting, he caught a fleeting glimpse of a familiar face. He could not possibly get out of the headlock he'd found himself in, but he did manage to get out a quick shout,"Renata!" A couple things clicked then and struggled even harder. He managed to get a rude word out and, "<Should have known you'd be mixed up in this!> In the next moment, she disappeared behind all of the bodies moving around him.
---
The fight in the stands did little to distract those below- and the fighting in the arena was only getting bloodier by the second. Meanwhile, those in the stands were not all normal humans. Some were Gifted, some were hype heads on Gift-granting drugs. So Jaime was not only a target for mundane punches and kicks, but also several ice shards speeding in his direction.

At Jaime's voice ringing out, Serenity chewed her tongue in frustration. Everyone made mistakes of course and what was going on was horrific as well, the outburst though would not help their case. Soon enough a few random punches were directed toward the woman, Serenity proceeded to dodge with ease until a random hood grabbed her hood and pulled it back - revealing just a simple looking Hispanic woman. The man then went to grab Serenity's hair, the woman narrowly avoiding being caught this time.
Martina moved quickly over to Jaime as the fight broke out, hearing him yell out the word Renata - Martina moved her eyes over in the direction that she assumed the man was looking only catching a glimpse of the said woman. How did he know this person? At the influx of ice shards, Martina didn't have time to thoroughly think this through and instead sent out few balls of negation in the crowd - careful to avoid hitting any of the teachers.

The sands that were once of Tem’s body continued to slither underneath the feet of the unsuspecting crowd. She heard nothing suspicious out of any of them, well besides shouts toward the dueling children below but it didn’t quite give away any new information. She continued on however. One of them had to be the one holding up the barrier, maybe she should search for the one in the crowd whose dividing less attention toward the arena. It was easy to keep track of who she searched since they all kept to one spot, until one of the teachers blew a casket. Out of all of them, Tem thought she’d be the first to throw some punches but apparently the sight of the teenagers killing each other was too much for one of them.
The teacher spotted a familiar face in the crowd and given what he said afterward, Tem’s sand made a b-line for the woman. Tem’s Spanish wasn’t the best, but she picked up a few words that made her seem like a target they should pursue. The only problem was the Headmistress’s use of negation that rendered the sand she had under the feet of the crowd useless and halted her chase enough to unwillingly let the tiny woman escape. While she lost control of those bits, there were still enough around for her to collect though at this point her entire body would be half its original size. She continued her stealthy search by slithering around the crowd instead of going in it because she didn’t want to lose more of her body, but she swarmed some faces with sand as she passed by in order to give the teachers a bit more help in their struggle.

Jaime gave into old impulses and wound out dishing out as good as he got. For such a small man, he knew how to handle himself in a brawl. However, there were too many around him, too many to fight all at once. With no end in sight, with one eye closed against the blood flowing from a cut over his eyebrow and some of the supplies in his bag broken (hopefully not the percussion instrument), he could feel himself wearing down.
Luckily, sand flew into the face of one of the men trying to hold him down and he surged forward. He knocked a fellow back into the barrier between the stands and the arena, causing a lightshow of sparks and lights. This did seem to distract some of the fighters left in the arena.
A jolt of panic hit Jaime- every minute the teachers were stuck out here, they couldn't stop the madness below. This only pissed him off more and he began to see red, attacking with a lack of control he had not experienced since his wilder days back when he was in a band. He barely noticed when a knife flashed and a spreading darkness began in the clothes near his collarbone.
---
The fighting amps up a notch, brought to a hysterical note as some of the fighters begin to flee. Their leader is gone and some are beginning to panic. Much of the fighting below has resumed, and is as bloody as it ever has been. The sand and sawdust are clumped with drying blood and viscera.

Thanks to the crowd Martina wasn't aware that she had hit one of her allies with her powers and also thanks to using her powers, Martina already felt herself getting sick. It was because of this that the woman moved back to using strictly her weapons, hoping that she could hold back her sickness for the time being. Just a few feet away, Serenity was grappling with another man - thanks to her appearance change and the fact that she hadn't associated herself with the teachers she was less of a target compared to the rest of them.
[ooc; sorry for the short post, went really brain dead. ]

Her search continued as the fight that had broken out raged on, becoming far more violent than before. Some were obviously giving it their all while others decided to hightail it out of there while they still had the chance. Tem couldn’t quite decide if it was good that they were so cowardly or not because on one hand it made her job easier now, but harder later on when she has to hunt down every last one of them for either questioning or sentencing depending on their involvement.
Her sand snaked through the stands getting no more resistance from the feet of the fighters as they began to thin out after a certain amount of time. However, there was a man way outside the group who seemed to be putting up little to no fight at all. Curious that he was dressed in a much fancier garment than the rest of the leather cladded folk. Maybe it was rented, but then again why would anyone show up to a blood sport dressed so fancily. Perhaps he was that vain? Either way, he wasn’t getting out of this confrontation without a single scratch. Tem whipped up all the sand she had remaining and formed into a small whirlwind and launched herself at the man with impressive speeds. She battered him with every bit of sand she had on her person and it quickly went from a mild irritation to the feeling of a hard lash. If her hunch was correct, whatever barrier that was cast around the arena should disappear quickly now that she’s gotten the creator’s attention.

Finally finding himself at a door, Constantine looked up toward it for a moment while in his cat form. It didn't take him long to realize that he wouldn't be able to open it with the form he was in. Instead, looking around just for a second - Constantine shifted into his human form and then shifted back to his cat form as soon as he got the door open. As he did so, everything that was happening in the battle arena was now presented to him. Fighting was still going on in the arena as well as the stands, there was so much mess everywhere that Constantine wasn't even sure if his brother would be here in the first place.

The man was not the sort that could withstand a physical assault of this sort without breaking his concentration. Some, established barriers, would be more difficult to remove in such a way, but he was distracted enough to immediately drop the barrier between the crowd and the arena itself.
This was not the immediate fix some may have hoped for. Immediately, one or two of the fighters escaped from the arena and starting attacking those in the stands, their targets indiscriminate and usually helpless in the face of the sudden, vicious onslaught.
Tem's victim isn't able to put up much of a fight. He attempts to place a barrier between himself and the sand, which pulls on his attention enough to drain the power from the barriers and locking spells in the labyrinth.
More of the crowd disperses in a panicked rush to escape the attack, which helped clear some of the confusion in the stands. With every passing minute, another individual in the arena falls.
Jaime ignored the pain of his own wounds as he jumped down into the arena. He was near-blind with his righteous fury, but he had to remind himself that some of these people here were students. He picked up a bloody baseball bat and immediately had to fend off a woman who tried to claw his face. He shouted up to his colleagues, but his words were unintelligible.
He tried not to cause any damage he couldn't immediately fix, but there were individuals down here who had full use of powers and no understanding of friend or foe.

Much to Miller’s dismay, his swipe at the ribbon boy missed on a drastically disastrous level. His blade glided through the air cleanly and it seemed he misjudged the distance between them or he shifted backwards without him noticing. He wasn’t sure. Either way, it caused him to trip up and his blade pulled him toward the ground like an anchor. He was quick to save himself from falling flat on his face, but it was enough time for him to meet his doom if he didn’t react quickly.
As he twisted back into the fight though, his eyes glanced at the crowd once more. For whatever reason, there was a brawl being waged in the stands much like in the arena. The only thing though their battles began to interlock with one another as some jumped into the stands and others leapt into the arena. He cared little of what was going on, however, the one thing he did care about looked to have disappeared since the last time he had inspected. His mistress was nowhere to be seen, not in her usual seating and not caught up in the sprawl. Miller knew she was too smart to have thrown herself into it and added to that she’d still be a contender if she wanted to be a part of it. Something was wrong.
His eyes flared at the mere thought of her being in danger, wherever she was, whatever it was that was threatening her, Miller had to find her. Surely his heroics would grant him a reward, no doubt she’d have something special in mind for her star pupil (regardless of whether she saw him as that, he thought she saw him as that). The ribbon boy could wait, he didn’t matter. His mistress’s safety was the number one goal at the moment. Without any further acknowledgement of the boy, Miller raced off to the nearest exit busting down anything that stood in his path and leaping over whatever hurdle that met his shins. Luckily the barriers were down otherwise the powerhouse would have had greater difficulties and he wasn’t even truly aware of their existence to begin with.
---
Seeing one of her allies drop down to the arena below approved her theory on the fancily cladded individual, he was indeed the man in control. The unfortunate news that came with that was he was able to form a barrier around his person and block her from pelting him further. Along with that, it trapped more of her sand particles within the shield meaning she just lost more sand for the time being. This battle was really taking a toll on her body, she’d easily lost more than half of herself in the chaos and luckily it was only temporary. The barrier man wasn’t going to getaway that easily, but first she needed a new tactic to deal with him.
Her vision focused on the battleground. Its floor was made of sand. Tem quit her sandstorm around the being for a moment and the collection of her body dove into the arena’s floor boards. It wasn’t until she settled into the floor that she realised it was not only made of sand, but also sawdust and other scraps. The junk that clotted up the sand would make it a bit more challenging to wield, but she could still use it as her weapon. The only difference was though, her strength was going to be lessened considerably and she her movements sluggish.
Tem absorbed all the dressing over the floor board into one large pile and fused it with herself to create one entity. The blob of dirt launched herself back into the stands and directly atop the barrier man. If she couldn’t attack him directly then they were going to play a game of will, how long could the man go without air?

Martina was started to get exhausted thanks to the few moments that she had to use her power. It was obvious too since she started to move slower and slower as people continued to try and attack her. The woman wondered briefly how much longer she could last and kept telling herself that it had to be only just a little bit longer, just a little bit longer. Noticing that the barrier had gone down between the stands and the arena, the woman quickly moved - the reason that they had come here in the first place much easier to grasp now.
Serenity on the other hand seemed to get more energetic as the fighting continued on. The woman in question was having a hard time not delivering the finishing blow to quite a few people that had come to attack her. Nonetheless, she seemed to be knocking out quite a few people left and right.
In the arena, Constantine angled through the fighting and the bodies collapsing on the ground. Luckily since he was so small and quiet that he mostly went unnoticed by everyone and everything around him. Just a few more minutes into looking around the arena that Constantine finally spotted what looked like his brother. Breaking into a run, it only took a minute or so for Constantine to get to his brother - just to see what had actually happened. He couldn't believe it at first, despite the fact that his older brother's lifeless body was right there in front of him. Looking around the arena for just a moment, the young man knew that if he tried to change back into his human form someone would notice him almost immediately. Instead, Constantine let out loud meow and pushed his head up against his brothers hand. Impossible, it didn't make any sense. How could this be?

Not very long, it seemed. The barriers faltered, then went away completely as the man passed out and collapsed under the sudden force he'd been holding back.
Felix was almost too shocked to dodge when somebody hurled a piece of debris at his head. He couldn't really fathom that this sort of... spectacle fighting... for, that's what it was, right? Spectacle fighting could be going on so close to the school. He recognized teachers, so he assumed that this ruckus was caused more by an interrupted event than usual proceedings.
He was tackled onto a stone floor and he writhed beneath a man who seemed to be trying to tear his throat out. It was at this point that the reality of the place sank in and Felix started to panic. He pushed back against the guy as best he could, a wordless cry for help bursting from his lips.
---
There was so much going on in the arena that Jaime was having a hard time prioritizing. He was only supposed to be there in a healing capacity, and yet he was in the thick of things, smacking people with a baseball bat.
He, in turn, started to receive more wounds as he became worn down. A serrated blade dragged across his back and he nearly passed out. He gritted his teeth together and brought the bat down upon the culprit with a loud crack.

With the man that was in control of the barrier out of commission, that left Tem with a bit more wiggle room to ease down the fight. From what she could observe most of her allies were in a near state of being overrun and it was within reason for her to cease that before it happened. Where to first was the question, the pit had plenty going on but the fight in the stands were still a threat. Given that she had already used a ton of energy to get this far it was questionable of how much further she could push her limitations. Perhaps she had enough to divide and conquer. One section of her in the pit and the other to where the majority of the teachers. The headmistress was the most important and she seemed to be in a bad position.
Tem commanded her corrupted body to split. The first half went into the ring as planned and aimed her mass at a man who seemed to trying to gut another boy. She had no clue which person was on which side, but she didn’t care as long as she separated the two. She blasted the person’s torso with sand and began to coil around him and tried to create a solid shape so that she could submission him, but making herself solid wasn’t too easy when there was so much gunk and other unwanted junk caught within her stream of sand. Maybe it was enough to distract him and let Felix run free or land a hit on the guy. For the time being though, she had to avoid killing anybody willingly or not since it was tough to tell where anybody stood in the confrontation.
As her other half ventured into the fighting grounds the remainder of Tem headed straight back into the fray that started it all. Having two pieces of her roaming around put a lot of strain on her, but she was still able to complete the simplest of tasks. She might not be able to take human form until after another slumber though. She formed herself into a rope shaped being and again slithered into the crowd unnoticed. She began lashing herself the calves of the people she passed by while making certain that the people she was hitting were not teachers. During her time doing so though, she got stomped on plenty of times and having to reform into her shape was getting very tiring.
