Full Name: Wyatt Erivac Celest
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Power(s):
Passive:
Collective soul: Wyatt's soul is bound to the souls of his gypsy ancestors within the spiritual realm. He shares his ancestors experience and knowledge while communicating with them within a full meditative trance. When in this trance he is completely vulnerable, so he only does it when completely safe.
Active:
Ribbon Manipulation: While in a semi-trance, Wyatt taps into the spiritual realm to draw forth and fight with the soul ribbons of his ancestors. The soul ribbons have very little density and can't produce much impact damage. However, they're strong, and capable of binding around objects and people to prevent movement. By weaving soul ribbons together, he can make a shield used to mitigate damage from powerful attacks. The larger the shield created the longer it takes to form. Currently he can only control conjure two soul ribbons to manipulate at a given time.
Soul Link: While in a semi-trance, he can increase his physical and spiritual strength by connecting directly to one of his ancestors. This effect is brief and taxing on his stamina. By tapping into his ancestor's soul for power, it wears down the tether of his ancestor's soul, weakening it. He will only use this ability if absolutely necessary. If used too much the ancestor's soul will be forced to move on, and if it's forced to move on while the effect is in place he could end up in a coma.
Appearance: He has brilliant blue eyes most of the time, they change to a bright green whenever he is in a semi-trance or full trance to use his abilities. Wyatt has a very smooth baby-faced appearance. Slender with slightly sunken cheeks, a prominent chin, and the complete lack of facial hair, would cause most to estimate his age as younger if it wasn't for his height. Standing at about 6'3" and weighing only 150 pounds, causes him to be tall and lanky. His hair is very dark brown, long, and shaggy and is usually in a mess. He prefers it as such as it lends to more interesting hair styles.
Wyatt is typically found wearing a white one piece suit that is nearly skin tight, which shows off his muscular definition of his lanky frame. It has a few decorative and stylish lines that come from his shoulders down his body across the chest and abs to his thighs on both sides. He's adorned with a white crystal pendant that contains his family's collective soul, which has never been removed, since placed on him at birth.
Personality: A very subdued sort of person, not really putting himself out there for the enjoyment of other's company. He is pleasant to others when he needs to be, but would much rather be on his own continuing to study and learn more about his abilities. Very much a thinker and very independent, he spends most of his time reflecting on the lessons that life has given him. He rarely listens to music unless its soothing and aids with his meditation or reflective thoughts.
Though independent, he doesn't like to see others being hurt or attacked. He will always step in and help out when others need it, preferring to be defensive and using an enemies attack against themselves, and being passive himself. He is quite capable at surviving and managing himself when he's found in combat, logically assessing the situation and reacting accordingly.

Weaknesses: Wyatt isn't well knowledged in the actions of the world around him, nor does he have the desire to really learn about the world either. Being the last of his line, he focuses most of his attention honing his skills and his family's lore by reading the soul ribbons within his collective soul. He feels quite lonely most of the time and has a hard time relating to others except within the parameters regarding the loss of loved ones.
He is slightly afraid of meeting new people, and is typically considered shy; but considering his upbringing, its understandable as he hadn't had much in the way of social interaction with others. He rarely, if ever, changes his viewpoint on how he perceives any dilemma, as he always thinks in regards of his families position in consideration.
Strengths: He is very perceptive of human emotions, spending most of his life in training and meditation. He is also calm and slow to anger, never throwing the first punch. He would much rather reason out a situation before violent actions begin. When it does he can seem like a completely different person, being assertive and reacting without holding back. He is a highly spiritual person as well, knowing that his ancestors are always with him brings him a greater peace than most people reach.
History/Family: When Wyatt was born, as is always the tradition of his clan, there was a huge celebration and the soul tethering ceremony commenced. This ceremony linked his soul with the souls of his family members within the collective soul. This allowed members of his family to develop rapidly, with the experiences being shared among one another as part of their teachings, training, and meditations.
Unlike cousin tribes of the Gypsy, who followed in the teachings of the evil eye; Wyatt's family followed the path of spiritual enlightenment, accessing the spiritual realm in order to perceive, read, and make use of the spiritual realm's soul ribbons. These ribbons contain the history of a living beings soul upon the spiritual plane. Each member of the family learned various uses of manipulating the soul ribbons within the physical realm as was their individual gifts.
When Wyatt was two years old, his mother was pregnant with another child. He was excited about having a sibling and happy to see that his family was growing. When it came time for his mother to give birth to the unborn child, complications arose and neither his mother nor sister survived.
Madame Teresa, his grandmother, and his father helped Wyatt cope his mother's death. Together they performed the meditative ritual bringing the three of them into the collective soul for his first time, in order for him to say goodbye to his mother. She could have stayed around forever within the collective soul, but as his sister's soul hadn't been tethered to the collective, his mother chose to move on and be with her in the afterlife. His father was stricken with grief, falling into a deep depression. Within a year after his mother's death, his father took his own. He explained everything in a letter to Wyatt, which his grandmother had read to him when he was four.
For the last 15 years, he was raised by his grandmother, aunts and an elderly uncle. They live in seclusion, hiding out in a cave surrounded by dense forest. Living off the land, he trained and meditated learning the history and lore of the Genesai Gypsy's. They spent hours everyday under meditation, spending time with other ancestors within the collective soul.
When he wasn't meditating, he'd practice martial arts under the instruction of his uncle. Wyatt's preferred weapon was a three segmented bow staff held together with short lengths of chain. He learned how to fight with it to deflect away attacks and to incapacitate without killing.
His Aunt Liza was the only surviving relative that really used her manipulation of soul ribbons on the physical plane. She taught him the practices of semi-trance fighting, bring the soul ribbons to the physical plane. They'd practice for about 2 hours a day until he became proficient with it and was able to hunt for food to provide for his aging relatives.

They knew they were coming. It had only been a few weeks, but it wouldn't be long until they'd be found and killed. They had heard rumors the few times any of them ventured through the woods towards civilization about the group hunting the gifted members in the area. The group had already managed to kill off a local witches coven of 15 members just a week ago.
Wyatt had been out gathering food from the area around the forest when he heard snapping of fallen limbs off to the distance, immediately knowing that they must be coming for him and his family. Nobody else lived anywhere near this area, the nearest home about 3 miles away, the nearest village at least 15. Quietly he retreated back to the cave dwelling where his family were waiting inside.
"They're coming, I don't know how many. They're in the forest about a half mile out." Wyatt exclaimed quietly, panic clearly emanating from his voice. He knew that between him, 3 elderly woman and an elderly man they didn't have much of a chance at survival. He didn't know what the plan was, but he understood why they refused to leave their home.
"Worry not child. We've always know what we must do if this day were to come. Teresa is in the back, please go to her now." Aunt Liza said; as she, her sister, and Wyatt's uncle headed towards the cave's entrance. They knew there was nothing outside of the cave to give away their position, but as nothing else was in this area, somehow, they had been found out.
"Grams, what are we going to do? We should have left last week when we learned they killed the witches." Wyatt questioned as he approached her at the back of the cave. He couldn't help but keep glancing towards the entrance, wondering how long until the group would arrive.
"Wyatt, you remember the stories of my father? The man Timothy Kandless he befriended, and joined him for a period of time?" She inquired as she placed her hand upon the back wall of the cave, closing her eyes and sweeping her hand across it.
"Yes he helped to establish a school for the gifted, and helped to create the pull we feel that directs us towards it. He said it would be a safe haven for those who have gifts, a place to learn and grow." Wyatt replied, unsure why reminiscing about the stories from generations passed would aid them in this particular situation.
"Yes, we have ties to that school, you could even say we belong there. Every living thing has a soul, my father helped to establish that pull by incorporating our manipulation of the soul ribbons into the magics that protect it. There were many other great people there working to build the school and village. He couldn't stay there as he had our heritage and home here to protect, but like all gifted people we've been welcome there as well." She stated quickly and deliberately. A gleam sparkled in her eye as she finally found the spot she had been looking for.
Wyatt watched as her light brown eyes began to glow green as she entered into a semi-trance. Pulling her hand away from the wall at that specific spot the cave opened up to reveal a small room, only large enough for one person to fit inside. There was an alter on the far wall of the room with 2 blue flamed candles burning on each side. In the middle there was a medium sized stone tablet with a knife laying on the very front edge of the alter in front of it.
"Grams, what is this? I'm not going to hide in there while you're all being killed, please don't ask me too." Wyatt pleaded with his grandmother. Looking towards the entrance again, noticing that his other family members were no longer within his sight.
"You have no choice in the matter. Don't worry, we're all old and have lived our lives well, but you must continue on and regrow our clan. We'll always be here for you whenever you need us. You have everything you need now." Madame Teresa explained as she grabbed his right arm with his left hand gently, and touched the pendent on his chest with her right hand.
They could hear the confrontation beginning near the entrance of the cave. His family was fighting the people seeking to do them harm and end their line. The elderly woman lead her grandson inside of the room and instructed him from the room's entrance.
"Cut your hand with the knife and let the blood drip on the stone tablet. As it soaks in it'll reveal the magic of an incantation to teleport you to the island the school is on. Do it now and go, I'll close off the room and we can talk later." Hastily she explained as the wall to the room closed between them.
He was more alone than ever, and felt slightly betrayed by his family. He knew that they would die, but he had conquered death in his mind already, they had helped him cope when he was young, and he knew that they were together through the collective soul. He just hoped that they wouldn't make the choice to move on without him like his father did.
Slowly he walked up to the alter, the blue flames barely illuminating the little room. Delicately he reached down and picked up the knife with his right hand, and he delicately cut a long thin slice into the palm of his left hand. Balling it up into a fist he lifted it above the tablet and like his grandmother said the blood soaked into the table as scarlet red letters appeared upon its surface.
"A safe haven is what a seek, a place to learn is what i need. Take me to where I'm meant to be, from this place to where I'll be freed." Wyatt read the incantation aloud, and the tablet began to crumble into pieces. The blue flames grew brighter and brighter, until they flashed a blinding white light and they went out.
