Full Name: Herbert Delvin Bach
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Powers: Bach’s powers are those of warding. He can select an area where an imaginary barrier could be made. Now, you can walk through the area normally, the purpose of the barrier is to drive people away. Depending on what, the imaginary barrier will lightly ‘touch’ the subconsciousness and will give the person a reason to move away from the area. Let’s say for an example someone was walking toward Bach without noticing, once the said person nears the area Bach has marked, their sub consciousness will kick in. Suddenly, they thought they forgot something or decided to wander somewhere else. Now, if someone knew the area Bach marked existed, then the barrier has no effect since they know. In other words, if a person doesn’t know about the barrier, they will get affected. If they do, nothing, they’ll just walk on. Now, if someone is searching for Bach and happens to stumble upon the ward, they'll be sub consciously move way from the ward without noticing. If they knew Bach has his ability and know where the ward is, then there will be no effect.
Now Bach can make another type of barrier. This one doesn’t affect any living thing; instead it affects magic and undead spirits. Unlike the first barrier, this one can be seen if one gets near. Also, it only applies near the barrier; anyone can use their power inside and far outside unless the warding only covers a small area. Ghosts and magical apparitions like living dolls or statues aren’t able to penetrate the barrier. Doing so will evoke certain measures to drive them away. First is the feeling of dread or fear. This usually happens when they get into range, mostly about 20 feet away. If they get closer, they begin to feel weaker and eventually evoke the feeling of danger. Making contact with the barrier can cause some serious knockbacks. This ward he uses are mostly to either trap or protect from getting in, or getting out.
Now they last power Bach can perform is cleansing. With this power, Bach can dispel spirits from this world to move on. On how this works is to simply touch the spirit, and chant a prayer. If the spirit is aggressive, then Bach must calm it before he can cleanse it. If the spirit isn’t able to calm down, Bach must either chain it down, or trap it in a small container like a bottle. If Bach is unable to cleanse a spirit, he must chant for The Door (See weaknesses for more info). Bach usually goes out at night to cleanse spirits if there is any sign or notice from them.
Appearance: Starting from the face, he has dark grey eyes. His hair is shiny grey with a medium length in the front and a long ponytail on the back, no facial hair. His build a small, yet sturdy with well-toned legs and arms. Length is around 5’9. In his usual wear, he prefers long sleeved shirts, mostly hooded jackets to keep the sun off his face. On his legs are regular cargo pants that are either brown or olive. In his church/work wear, he is equipped with black robes made of pure silk. The robes are outlined with white and a bit of gold. Without the robes are white cotton pants that are firmly tighten to the waist. A sleeveless grey vest rests on the chest riddled with crosses. A long-rimmed black hat is worn above his head.
Personality: Bach is friendly, but not in a way you expect. He’s more timid with a slash of shyness. He doesn’t interact with others as much an average person should. He’s mostly seen, however, calm and collected. He might just ask a question or two before moving on. When dealing with crowds, he speaks loud and clears without any pauses or breaks, though he quickly backs away when he’s done speaking. The few times he is aggressive is when he is confronting his enemies, during combat, or breaking fights up. He's deeply terrified of slimy things with multiple appendages, like squids. Mentioning anything about his father will be met with sorrow. It's a subject he doesn't enjoy speaking about. Bach hates thuggish and uneducated people. He does make a few exceptions in his life, but he rarely interacts with thugs. Never tell Bach you aren't following a reilgion. Just don't. If you're an enemy of Bach, well... take some time to get insurance. He’s usually found attending duties in the church both spiritually and financially. During his free time, he’s mostly at the academy walking around.

Weaknesses: Bach isn’t used to technology. He would get confused with even the most basic equipment. He can use kitchen and cleaning ware, but that’s about it. While performing wards, he can only have two at a time. Any more would lead to much concentration. With full focus, he can only summon up four. Another weakness is summoning The Door. The Door is an entrance the leads to a path to Hell or Underworld some may call. It summons a regular door of steel that appears simillar to the ones that one may find at a crypt or old basement. A great disturbing hand will come out and snatch whoever the offending spirit was and drag them inside (Also to note, one can enter the door when ever they want as long as The Door is in the mortal plane, there hasn't been any records of anything but the hand coming out). The Door will fade away afterwards. Not only this takes a big chunk of time to summon, it leads Bach powerless. He’s usually weakened for a week before his powers come back fully charged. One last thing, Bach is utterly terrible at humor.
Strengths: Bach is well versed in many European languages including English, German, and French. He’s also skilled in hand to hand combat, especially Jujutsu, Taekwondo, and Judo. Bach is specialized in holy knowledge and knows how to deal with minor spiritual incidents when they crop up. Of course, he can see ghostly apparitions plain as day, can’t confront them without seeing them you know.
History/Family: Herbert Kelvin Bach was born in December 27, 1996 in the mountain village of Palnatic Valley in Western Europe. The village was founded by the Bach Family during the increase of spiritual activity during the 14th century. The first settlers were combat priests who were sent to the area to cleanse the mountains of ghosts and unholy beings. Palnatic Valley was where they settled. One of them was Elvin Bach, the leader of the settlers and the inventor of the art of Warding. As years progressed, the small settlement grew into a holy village and eventually became isolated from the outside world. Elvin Bach researched spirits on how to effectively vanquish them to the afterlife. Elvin was also interested on gifted humans and their abilities, seeing the Bach Family was a type of gifted family. He never made much headway into the subject, but had enough to determine every gifted had their powers stemmed from different sources instead of a single source. The Bach Family’s source was from God, blessed to fight the spirits with holy power. Centuries later, Herbert Bach was interested in Elvin’s studies at the age of 13. By then, he was exceptionally skilled in the Bach Family’s abilities. By then, he wondered about the world outside his village and people with powers. He only has been outside his village a few times during religious trips.
The Bach Family consists of many family members. Herbert Bach has two brothers and three sisters. He’s the forth-youngest of the bunch. Both of his brothers were sent out to different parts of Europe to deal with spiritual beings, his eldest sister teaches younger members of the Bach Family and other priests. His youngest sister, who is only 9, is still living in the village with her other sister, and Bach’s closest sister, Renilla Bach, who is a year behind Herbert. He has a mother who used to work as the same profession like Herbert, but now lives in the village as an adviser for young priests. His grandfather leads the Bach Family and the rest of the town. He personally taught Bach after finding out about his skills in Warding and fascination of Elvin’s research.
Bach also has a deceased father who died two years ago in a freak accident when the village was attacked by a group of ghosts. His father, due to some accident, was possessed by the spirits and fought against Herbert. He had no choice but to put his father down. Only he and his grandfather knew how he died. Since then, he has been in constant training to prevent something like that to ever happen again.
During the month of August, Bach was asked by his grandfather to be sent to Foresta Academy as a student and for possible spiritual activity after getting a letter for services over there. After being mentioned about how it’s a place full of gifted, he took the offer.

In a bus stop at the mountains, young Herbert Bach stood with his casual clothes on. Next to him was his grandfather, who also stood. The Bachs were waiting for the bus that would lead Herbert to the coastal cities where he’ll have a ferry waiting for him. “Grandfather, may I ask you something?” said Bach. The elder nodded, “Go on ahead.”
“Will there really be so many of… gifted in one place?”
“I believe so. If I remember correctly, wanderers with powers somehow are attracted to the place.” The old man scratched his scalp gently. “If I’m correct, there has been an increase of students lately, it makes me curious.” Herbert just stared at the old man. He knew of the sudden increase of gifted as of late. People, mostly kids, have been developing powers in a fast rate, even rivaling those in years. The last time when the rate of gifted went this high, the Industrial Revolution happened. This was way back before Bach’s time, but he can’t help it but wonder why the sudden increase.
A slick bus slowed to a stop in front of the bus stop. It was time to go. “Well, this is it Herbert.” The grandfather said. “Try to not stir any trouble.”
“I won’t Grandfather.” Bach said, waving behind him.
“One last thing!”
“What?”
“Make some friends while you’re there!”
