Lurking within the shadows of the alleyways was a figure with a large blade instead of a second arm. It was obvious to anyone who knew him, it was Miller and considering the day was still young it made sense why he was hiding in between the buildings. He had no clue where he was or where the school would be in translation to where he was, so he had to find someone who looked to be a student. He wouldn’t be able to venture through the brightness of the sun on his own.
He skulked his way to the side of a building that was near the busiest area of the town, the square. He noticed a very small child grouped with another that looked the same as the other. Miller thought they might be twins, but they were definitely young enough to look like students. “Hey! You two! Which way is it to the school?” he asked them nervously, but in a loud enough tone so that they could hear him.
Lon and his cloned other stared at the creepy looking man. He was cast in shadow and looked to have a huge weapon attached to his arm, he wasn’t the friendliest looking basically. The two of them looked at each other. One had a concerned look on his face while the other gave off an impression that he had an idea. The two approached Miller, but didn’t say a word.
Miller gazed at the two with confusion “um, do you want me to pay you or something?” Soon after he finished speaking, he heard the sound of a child making some sort of battle cry from behind him. It wasn’t until a child leaped onto his back and latched around his neck that he finally figured out what was going on. It was another clone of Lon. “Yeah you got the monster!” one of the Lon said as the two of them charged at Miller as well.
Miller’s head flung back as the weight of the small child began to overpower his neck muscles. “Get off of me!” he tried to shout as the Lon clone continued to grip onto his neck. With his only hand he tried to grab the child, but he was just out of his reach.

(( who is morgan?)) Morgan had never been very useful in a fight. He had been wandering around the village, talking with people every now and then in a half-hearted attempt to glean further information on the tiny populace around Foresta. Unfortunately, he hadn't learned much, and most of his morning had been spent warding off vendors and wearily pointing the few tourists in the area in the direction of the market or the coffee shop. Morgan had just decided to start heading towards the school-grounds again when he'd spotted a massive movement in the corner of his eye - he hadn't been willing to pay much attention to it until he'd heard the shouting. It was kind of hard to miss the flailing mess of limbs and children. "Hey!" Morgan ran over to the scuffle, trying to discern what was happening. He wasn't quite sure, but it looked like the children - how many were there? three? four? - were attacking a larger boy who appeared to either have a large blade or was partially a large blade. Either way, Morgan was pretty sure that he needed help. "Get - Get off of him!" He reached as high as he could (which, let's face it: wasn't very high at all) and tried pry one of the children off of the boy's neck.

The two versions of Lon that were originally speaking with Miller grabbed onto his legs and began to pull back in order to make him fall over faster since the other version of them was having a tough time of overpowering him. Though, the one wrapped around Miller’s neck was unexpectedly tugged off by another person who decided to join the fray. The little boy began tried his best to wiggle out of the person’s grip as he turned his head to look at who it was that caught him. This version of Lon didn’t recognise him and he was sure that none of the others did either.
“Hey, let me go. The monster will get away if we don’t catch’em now!” the boy said with a legitimate sense of urgency. He continued to squirm as he tried to rejoin his fellow clones in the skirmish.
With Miller already being completely off balance, it was a fairly easy task for the combined strength of the two children to knock him back with a good pull of his legs. The mighty six foot three giant fell flat onto his back and as he did the two clones of Lon hopped backward to avoid being crushed underneath him. “The bigger they are, the harder they fall” one of them commented to the other.
Miller was quick to recover from his fall, a look of panic grew on his face as he began to crawl backwards. He drew his bladed arm and swung it out in front of him, more so looking like he was ready to defend himself then he was trying to attack. “Stay back! I’ll slice you if I have to!” he threatened, the panic in his voice was easy to pick up on.

Morgan tightened his grip on the squirming child, who was making a valiant effort to wriggle out of his arms. He bit his tongue hard enough to draw blood, and used the little bit of extra awareness he got from the pain and the added strength he got from his body attempting to heal the wound to hold the child higher off of the ground, making sure that he wouldn't slip. "Calm down," He said, teeth gritted. "That guy isn't a monster."
"And you two," Morgan added, addressing the other two children, who looked exactly like the one he was holding. "You can't just go around attacking people, no matter what they look like." He tossed the child in his arms at the other two unceremoniously, arms burning from exhaustion. A few bits of steam curled up from his mouth, and Morgan was sure his self inflicted cut was healed, he could no longer taste any blood and he felt somewhat exhausted from the effort of healing the cut. He glared at all of the people in front of him. What the heck was going on??

The other two Lons caught the clone that was thrown toward them with a fairly quick reaction time. They both listen to what the older boy was saying, but they both thought that he wrong. Not because they enjoyed going around attacking people, but they thought that Miller was actually a monster due to his appearance. “The pamphlet said to beware of monsters from the forest, he might’ve came from the forest and now he’s planning on attacking the school!” one of the boys explained as they placed the other back on his feet.
“We gotta stop’em!” the one that was recently thrown said as he began to charge at Miller once again. The other Lon stopped him before he took a step. “Don’t charge at him when he has his blade out like that, stupid” the one that caught Lon tried to reason with the other.
Miller’s mouth fell agape as the little boy assumed he was going to attack the school. Closed it back up and shouted back to him. “I was just trying to get directions, you little demon!” Miller began to pick himself up after stating his case. He still pointed his sword at the children in order to keep them away from tackling him again. He then detracted his attention from the children to the one who had rescued him. “Keep those things away from me” he stated to the boy.

With an irritable groan Morgan scrubbed a hand through his hair, wondering just what he was supposed to do in a situation like this. He glanced at the three children and then at the other boy before returning his gaze to the kids, deciding that they were probably the source of the problems here. He shuffled over to them, bending down to meet their eyes. Morgan almost laughed, he wasn't used to being taller than other people, even children. He quickly sobered his mood, reminding himself that these kids might've seriously hurt the other boy if he hadn't yanked that one off of the boy's neck.
"Okay," He began, a little unsure what to say. "What makes you think he's a monster? The blade? Have any of you even seen a monster before??" The word monster brought a few unpleasant memories to the surface of Morgan's mind, and it sickened him how none of them actually involved any monsters. He shoved the memories back, trying to focus on the situation at hand.

The three Lon clones looked at each other as the older boy questioned them. One of them had a bit of a quizzical expression, while the other two stared right back at the boy. “Well, no we haven’t seen a monster before, but they wouldn’t all look the same anyway” one of the boys reasoned. Then they all glanced back at Miller again as they came up with the descriptions of why he looks like a monster.
“Well, he has big black eyes” one of them said “and really pale skin” another one continued. The last one glared at the other two for using what he was going to say before he was able to. “And he has sharp teeth” the last one finally answered after he took a second glance at Miller.
Miller’s brows furrowed as he ran his tongue along his teeth. “My teeth are no sharper than anyone else’s!” he interjected to correct the one child who was blatantly lying. He began to approach the group slightly yet nervously with one or two steps, but he didn’t put away his weapon, still in fear of another assault from the horde of Lons. “My eyes are only like this because I’m nocturnal” he answered seeming a bit calmer than he was a few seconds earlier.

"See?" Morgan was relieved that they were actually managing to talk without strangling each other. "He's just a person like you guys are. You really shouldn't just go around attacking people on the assumption that they're a monster. I'm sure a lot of the people here don't look at all like you're used to, you know." Morgan warily watched the children as the other boy approached them, wondering if they were going to try to attack him again. He really hoped not, there was only so much he could do if it came down to another fight.
He grimaced without meaning to, speaking before he could shut himself up. "Calling other people monsters isn't very nice, either." Morgan sighed, shaking his head. He softened his voice. "Haven't you ever been called a monster before?"

The three boys looked at each other as they were being spoken down to by the older boy. They all remembered why they were originally sent to Foresta, which was because they went around and did stuff like what they had just done. All their eyes detracted to the ground feeling ashamed of themselves for what they did again. At least this time around the police didn’t get involved. “No…” they all answered in a sort of weaker tone to the question that the older boy asked of them.
Miller raised a brow in perplexity at how easily they gave in to the boy’s small spiel. He lowered his guard and as well as his blade when his would be enemies displayed mercy. If listened to closely though, his chattering teeth could be heard slightly since he was still untrusting of the little boys.
One of the Lon clones’ gaze returned to the face the older boy as he tried to explain himself. “We just wanted to make sure the school was safe… You know with all the kidnappings happening lately…”

Morgan frowned, leaning his head slightly to the right as the kid spoke. He couldn't believe they'd actually listened to his impromptu speech, Morgan knew he wasn't exactly a very persuasive speaker. "I guess you had good intentions, but still..." And then he blinked for a few seconds, brain processing the last of the child's words. "Wait? Kidnapping? I haven't heard anything about that!"
He glanced at the other boy, who still looked wary of the children. Morgan didn't blame him; after all, they had attacked him without him actually doing anything to provoke them. "Do you know what they're talking about?" There was a kidnapping at the school? Morgan had assumed that the school was a relatively safe place up until now.

The three Lon clones thought it was kind of strange that the older boy didn’t know about the recent kidnappings. Though Lon did have a better memory than most and he had six didn’t sources for his information, so he did usually know more about certain things than others, but not nearly as much as most of the older teenagers. “Yeah, that’s why the curfew was set in place a little while ago” one of them explained. “It’s all around the school, had no one told you?” another boy questioned. “It was in the pamphlet” the last one added.
It was the first time that Miller had heard the news as well, he had avoided contact with the outside world for quite some time before this day. He gave the older boy a bit of a shrug when he asked him whether or not he heard the news himself. “I never heard of any kidnappings” he stated as his sort of detracted from the group and pondered off for a bit. The worry on his face grew ever more slightly as time passed on. “Um, would anyone care to tell me the best route back to the school that has the least amount of sunlight, because I’ve still yet to get my answer for that?” he questioned again seeming as though he became a bit more nervous by the mention of danger.

"I'm pretty new here, actually." Morgan said to the kids, scrunching his eyebrows together. "I haven't really talked with that many people." He vaguely remembered getting a pamphlet from somewhere, but Morgan was fairly sure that he had looked at it once before throwing it into the steadily growing pile of papers near his bed, never to be seen again. Morgan wasn't exactly the most organized person ever.
To the other boy he said, "Ah, the school's not too far from here. It's over to the West, I think. About a mile or two away. But about the sunlight problem..." Morgan let himself trail off, thinking about how to get back to the school. Were there any ways back that didn't actually involve going in the sun very often? "I think the best way to avoid the sun would be to cut through the forest for part of the walk, but I heard that the forest is really dangerous around this time."

Miller listened closely to the boy’s instructions, which were fairly simple, but provided him with enough information to be satisfied. His gaze changed to the alleyway behind him for a spilt second or two to investigate. He switched back over to the group and said “right, I’ll look out for that.” He abruptly sprinted off in what seemed to be the direction that the guy informed him to. Once he turned down one passage way, he was completely out of sight from the two.
Lon saw it a bit strange that the man twice his size ran off without warning, but then again he seemed to have really spooked him. Whether or not it was what Lon did that caused him to run off, he’ll never know, but it was probably a safe assumption to make. All of the Lon clones watched him run until he left their sight. “I guess he was in a hurry” one of them mentioned under his breath.
Their line of vision went back to the other older boy. “Yeah, we’re new here too, besides you and that other guy we haven’t talked to many people either” one of the boys said. Another one went wide-eyed as he was quick yo realize they haven’t really introduced themselves. “Oh, my name is Lon by the way”. “Well, we’re all Lon anyway. Not the real Lon though” one of them continued. “Yeah, I think him and another two Lons are exploring the school grounds today” one of them informed the other two.

Morgan watched the other boy depart, unsurprised at his haste. He had just been attacked, after all. Morgan hoped that he got to the school okay, the forest was supposedly really dangerous around this time of year. Morgan shuddered, remembering a shape he'd seen lurking among the trees one night...
He turned to the kids, snapping out of his reverie. "Wait, you're all clones? That's a pretty neat power. I thought you had a hive mind or something - I've heard powers like those tend to have really, ah, strange side effects." He smiled at them.
"Well, Lon, I'm Morgan. And don't even start - I know it's a girly name, okay?"

One of the boys snickered when hearing the older boy’s feminine sounding name. One of the other clones slapped him upside the head properly. “Nice ta meet yah” the uninvolved one greeted. “But no, we don’t have a hive mind. We just all have the same way of thinking” he elaborated to Morgan. “Though, we swear that at least one of the clones come out stupider than the others” he said as he glared at the clone who laughed earlier. “You guys just don’t understand my humour…” other one muttered. “Yes we do” the other one answered matter-of-factly.
They all faced Morgan once more. “Yeah, the real Lon gets the memories of all of us. We prefer to stay in groups since it is less strain on his brain if the memories are similar to each other.” The one Lon continued to explain. They all stared at each other as they realized something after the explanation. “Oh, Lon is probably going to feel bad about us attacking that guy earlier” they all said to each other. “Well, we could kill ourselves, he wouldn’t get the memory that way” one of them suggested. “Yeah and then the next day he’d have the biggest headache we’ve ever had, he’d hate that even more.”
