Full Name: Ansleigh Diana Jones
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Power(s): Pyrokinesis. The ability to create flames through manipulation of the speed of molecules.
Power Origins: Ansleigh herself was born with the mutation, but it didn't come to light until she was twelve years old. She seems to have trouble creating flames without a physical movement of sorts.
Appearance: Ansleigh is a fairly short young woman, standing at five-foot four. She has naturally wavy, shoulder length auburn hair. Ansleighs eyes are an almond shape, and the iris's are a dark brown color. She's a very slender, and athletic young woman. She will very rarely be seen without a smile on her face, her teeth are obviously cared for to an extreme degree, white and perfectly straight. She will more often be seen wearing jeans and a T-shirt of some sort, rather than any sort of dress, and with at least one headphone dangling from her ears. She usually has need for 'vision enhancers' , glasses, contacts, etc. There is a black tattoo that circles from her left wrist to her elbow, simple intertwining lines.
Personality: Ansleigh is an extremely confident and outgoing person in almost all aspects, the area that she lacks confidence in the most is the control of her power. While she is fun loving, she realizes the very thin line between fun and stupidity. She is loyal to the friends she makes, and protects them fiercely in any way that she may. While Ansleigh tends to be kind, she is often found to be intensely confrontational if one challenges her, her friends, her family, or her beliefs in general. While she is an exceedingly smart person, she often doesn't get too much of a chance to show it because it is immediately shadowed by her outgoing personality. She is terrified of heights, hates most insects, and holds a deep seated anxiety behind sudden loud noises, meaning that she freezes quite effectively during thunderstorms. On the other end of the spectrum, she loves sports of all kinds, eats like a healthy fiend on most occasions, and actually enjoys school and learning.
Picture(optional): Not currently allowing me to upload it.
Weaknesses: She has an incredible problem following authority, as well as staying on task. Her power requires some sort of specific movement for each attempt at using it.
She is far too loyal to those that she considers friends, which blinds her from better solutions if a friend is involved.
Strengths: Ansleigh is very physically fit! If she takes the time to think, she is an incredibly tactical person. She's a very good speaker, and can speak her way out of many situations.
History/Family:
Ansleigh is the youngest of three children, her being the only girl. Her two older brothers indoctrinated her into the world of loving sports when they were all at a very young age, starting by playing tackle football. She spoke out quite often, and with great passion about the different rules to sports, depending on gender, and would try out for most boys sports teams before she would try out for an all female team. She didn't live an extravagant lifestyle, despite the fact that she had every opportunity to do so.
As a young girl she was picked on in school quite often, but decided to combat this by being as cheerful as possible, showing off the good things about herself, and taking the negatives that were spoken of, and changing them into positives the best she could. It was around this transition in her life that she began to discover her powers. During a New Years party, she kept accidentally lighting fireworks off, without touching them. Once her parents began to notice these changes, they decided something. While there wasn't anything they could do to stop it, they would try to help her to develop them, on the condition that she would keep this side of her life hidden away from all of her peers.
She managed this for a good portion of her life before she began to get fed up with knowing that she was keeping a big secret. She spoke to her parents and they agreed with her, she needed to learn how to fully control these powers. They helped her pack her bags, gave her enough money for a few months, gave her the family motorcycle, and said goodbye for now.
In Character sample: Ansleigh was five miles down the road, still sniffling from the goodbyes and good lucks from ten minutes earlier. Her backpack seemed to weigh a ton on her shoulders as she raced down the roads, away from the suburbs in which she lived.
She saw a road sign that clearly stated that she was a mile out from the highway. She pulled the chopper off to the side of the road and walked a bit out of the way. She wore a leather jacket, simple blue jeans, and her boots. She was walking with the last gift she'd received from her brothers, a black lacrosse stick with a stark white head and a black rocket- pocket.
She laughed softly to herself, it was strung like a mans stick would be, she absolutely despised women's lacrosse. She walked off a bit into a grove of trees on the side of the road. She was admiring the stick still when she heard a deep voice speaking a good ten yards behind her, a voice she'd never heard. She spun around quickly at the sound, groaning inwardly at the sight, and the situation she'd gotten herself into.
There was a group of three teenage boys who had seen her walk off into the grove of trees and they decided to follow her. The head male, a tall, muscular boy with stark black hair was the one speaking.
"What's a little girl like you doing out here all alone, hmm?"
Him and his buddies all chuckled, slowly continuing to approach Ansleigh, who had backed herself into a corner. She switched the lacrosse stick into a two handed grip, eyes narrowing at the boys.
"I suggest you back away now, I don't want to have to hurt you."
The boys heard that and all begancracking up, one of the head boy's cronies spoke up, a snicker evident in his voice.
"What're you gonna do with that, hit all of us at the same time?"
Ansleigh smirked softly at his words, tightening her grip on the stick.
"Not exactly."
She swung the stick in a wide arc, as though she was taking a sidearm shot. The boys laughed as she began the swing, they were still a good fifteen feet away when she did that. They continued laughing until they felt a slight sear burning their chests, they hadn't noticed the fact that a streak of flames crossed over their chests. They quickly stripped their flaming T-shirts off, scrambling backwards and stumbling as they ran. They head boy tripped and fell over a rock that was jutting out of the ground. He layed, curled up on the ground, cowering in fear.
Ansleigh strutted forward, one hand on the stick, the other on her hip. She paused, the heel of her boot meeting the back of the boys hand. She looked down at him, smiling sweetly.
"Don't hurt yourself too much Darlin, just be more careful next time."
She gave his hand one last little twist of the heel as she made her way back to the chopper. She remounted the hog, secured all of her supplies, and off she went, feeling confident that she could do well enough on her own in this world.
