Full Name: Haschel A. Quicksilver (The 'A.' Stands For "Ashford")
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Power(s): Haschel has two powers, both of which he has had since birth, though no one else in his family has presented the powers. No one is entirely sure why he has the powers that he does, but speculations have been made that they were gifts from god; whether or not this is true has not yet been discovered.
Speed: Haschel has the super human trait of enhanced speed, which is the ability to move, run, react, think, and sense at speeds much faster than a normal human. Those with this ability also have accelerated brain activity which allows them to process sensory information so fast that everything seems to be moving in slow motion while the user moves at normal speed.
Agility: The second of Haschel's abilities is a high level of superhuman agility. This ability allows the person who has it to naturally react faster than they would be able to without it, and gives them greater flexibility/dexterity than a normal human by far. Finally, this power also increases the height and distance that the person can jump at, Haschel in particular being capable of jumping almost eight feet high and at a distance of nearly 14 feet.
Appearance: Haschel has light, blue eyes and brown hair that reaches down his back in a pony tail, ending just under his shoulder blades. He normally has a very calm expression on his face, bordering on curious in appearance as he really is normally quite curious about everything. He has fairly toned muscles all over him, due to his persistence in training as a martial artist, and can normally be found wearing a white button-up shirt with long sleeves, and a pair of long, loose black pants that mimic the freedom of movement that a martial artist's uniform has, but without looking too formal. He also usually wears a small black collar around his neck, along with a tag that has his name on it.
Personality: Haschel is a very calm young man, though he can get bored quite easily, his supernatural speed and thought processes making it very difficult for him to pay attention to any one thing at a time, unless it's really interesting to him. It's understandable, really, when you realize that he experiences everything around him as if it was moving in super slow motion, which would drive most people mad after only a month or two. He tries to be kind and friendly to everyone he meets, though he's not very good at social interaction, both because it seems to take forever to him, and also because he simply is not accustomed to most forms of rhetoric. He has an especially difficult time understanding sarcasm, or when someone is just joking, but he is working on it. It is, in return, usually quite difficult to understand completely how he is feeling at any given point in time, no matter what it looks like. This is due to the fact that he has a mental condition that makes him incapable of forming the correct facial expressions or even body language for the given situation most of the time; however as he is actively working at it, he is gradually getting better at understanding all of these confusing aspects of social interaction.
Haschel has a few different things he strives to achieve, namely to learn more about himself and people like him, to finally be able to understand how the world actually is, and to, eventually, prove to his family that even without their 'correctional guidance', he can turn out to be a great man. He also strives to become the greatest martial artist in the world, practicing almost every day to master all arts that he has ever learned, down to the absolute basics and all the way up to the most advanced of techniques. He has a surprising lack of fear, as most of it was driven out of him at around the same time that his parents forced him to take up martial arts, though one thing in particular that he is deathly afraid of is flying. He will absolutely refuse to get into any flying machine, or let any flying person carry him at all, and has to be thoroughly convinced of his safety before he'll begin to consider it, as throughout his life he has only heard bad things about planes crashing and all that, leading him to believe that this is the norm. He also has a deep fear of spiders, but this manifests more in him trying to crush/kill them than scream or run away. One thing that angers him more than anything else is seeing someone abuse their powers to control people; this being a result of his upbringing. He finds people who do this sort of thing disgusting and borderline evil, and thus will probably never get along with them, and will definitely never fully trust someone with powers of control over people.

Weaknesses: Haschel has large difficulties with social interaction, due to his powers making him experience everything in slow-motion and the fact that he has a mental condition hindering his ability to express himself. His powers' weaknesses include the fact that he gets tired very quickly during actual physical activity unless he consumes a lot of calories. Also, it is difficult for him to slow down once he starts moving at his full speed, making precision stops nearly impossible unless he starts trying to stop ahead of time. Finally, because of how fast his entire body functions, he bleeds much more whenever he is cut or stabbed or anything of the sort. If he does not apply some form of first aid quickly after sustaining an injury that makes him bleed any significant amount, he runs the risk of long-term hospitalization or outright death from bleeding out. (He can still sustain small wounds like scratches, glancing cuts, scrapes, etc. without having to worry, but when he sustains a deeper wound than these he must give it medical attention as soon as possible.)
Strengths: One strength in particular, granted to him both by intense physical training and by his power of super-speed, is that he is highly resistant to damage via impact, allowing him to run into things or even strike things at full speed with highly reduced harm to himself, though it isn't non-existent. He is also very extensively trained in several forms of martial arts, having been forced to take it up at what some would consider a 'dangerously young' age; he is highly skilled in jiujitsu, karate, fencing, and jeet kun do, and plans on learning even more. Finally, one of the strengths he prides himself most on is his willpower/endurance. He can endure an exceedingly high amount of punishment without giving in, and on several occasions as even shocked his instructors by not only standing on a broken leg, but even kicking them with it. This, however, can be very dangerous to him, as this will and endurance doesn't actually make him any less likely to die from his injuries, he's just too stubborn to stop fighting when he sustains them, which can result in even more injuries, and even more serious ones at that.
History/Family: Haschel was born into a very strict family as an only child. Because of his powers, and the fact that he was an only child, the family was even more strict than usual in regards to him, trying to beat and form him through lessons and punishments all throughout his life, even at the delicate ages where he was only just a toddler. He was kept from having friends or any sort of real social interaction as his family attempted to form him into the perfect military man. He never understood why they would do this, but he also never questioned it, for fear of getting beaten again or having what few 'rights' he had taken away. He just peacefully went along with it, eventually the only comfort in his day being his martial arts training, which naturally led him to practice harder and more frequently at it as he progressed, always willing to take more lessons than he was originally assigned.
Though his family was strict and cruel, he always loved them, as they were the only people he had come to know, so he believed that this was simply how life was; how everyone would treat him. When he turned 13, he finally started getting ideas into his head that maybe the way he was being treated was unfair. No one else in his family was treated this way, after all, and what reason was there for him to be the only one treated this way? He began rebelling, saying no for the first time, fighting back instead of just taking the beatings, and asking questions that shocked his unsuspecting parents. They hardly expected such ideas out of him, after all they had put him through, and it was through these interrogations that his parents finally informed him that he was not normal. He was faster, more flexible, could jump higher and react quicker than any human they had ever seen, and it was because of these abilities that they tried to keep him in check.
When Haschel found out he had been lied to and manipulated simply for the way he was born, and by the only people he had ever known and loved, he became closed off. He started looking at things in the most brutally honest and realistic sense that he could, and essentially became a droning shell of the happy-go-lucky kid that he would have been if it weren't for his upbringing. At the age of 16, he had had enough, and simply left one day in the summer. They couldn't catch him, or even hope to keep up with him, after all. Not to mention he wanted desperately to see what the world was really like, if it was actually as terrible and cruel as he had come to believe, and after two full years of living without a home, training without an instructor, and learning about the world, he had decided that it was actually a worth while place to live in. He worked hard at becoming a more social and likable young man, and hid away his long-learned feelings of resentment and brutal realism so that he could continue to learn what he was, what the world was, and how they'd get along from then on. It was at this point in his life that he finally came to Foresta Academy, and decided after only a very short time thinking on it that he would stay here for a while as a student, figuring it was his best chance to learn more about himself, and even meet others with special talents and learn how to better socialize with them. It would serve to aid almost every one of his goals, making it the perfect home for him, whether or not it turned out to be temporary.
In Character sample: Haschel wandered quietly on his own through the large mystical forest that he had felt himself being drawn to for a while now. He couldn't explain it, couldn't even begin to explain it, but for some reason he had felt for his entire life that there was something out there for him. On his travels, this sense increased drastically over time, eventually leading him to this place, like a bird migrating completely on memory, although he had no memory of the place. Soon enough, he emerged from the trees to see a gorgeous summer landscape, a village sitting right there in the middle of it with a larger building off in the distance. Stunned for a moment at the face that other people could live in such a secluded area, he simply stood and wondered why this place was on no map he had ever seen.
Quickly enough, he decided to ignore the village, not wanting to make his presence known to any large amount of people at a time, since he had no idea whether they would be hostile or accepting towards him. Speeding past the village -- he made sure to skirt around the place, rather than go straight through it to his destination -- he headed towards the larger building in the distance, somewhere in the village he assumed. Once he found the quickest way to what would turn out to be a 'Foresta Academy', he bolted straight at it, dodging anything/anyone that got in his way as best he could and winding up at the doorstep of the academy that would soon become his home.
