Full Name:
Angelo Spire
Gender:
Male
Age:
12
Power(s):
Having angelic traits (corona of light, wings, glowing skin and hair). Apart from the (relatively) minor physical stuff, Angelo’s presence magnifies the good in a person. His presence inspires heroism, courage, benevolence, generosity, etc.
The effect of this on other people is negated when he’s with his brother (since he’s not affected by his own magic, his own behavior only gets worse).
Yes, the wings are functional and Angelo can make them go away (sort of like retracting them and regrowing them as he needs them) at will.
Appearance:
Angelo is light-haired with blue eyes. His skin is eternally pale, with a strange sort of glow to it. This glow is more pronounced around his head and shoulders, as though there was a light from above always shining down on him. Angelo’s features are fine, almost bordering on feminine. Angelo, like his brother, is still short (roughly 5') because they have not gone through a major growth spurt yet. He’s wiry in build, like his brother. And, like his brother, he has fairly narrow shoulders.
Angelo’s wings, when they are out, are large, feathery, and white (larger than the wings in the picture).
Personality:
Angelo is quite the little troublemaker when adults are not around or not paying attention. He gets into mischief constantly and he can’t help it. He hates his gift for inspiring the good in people since he can’t really get anybody to help him in the really big schemes. Most adults think he’s the little angel, and Angelo certainly knows how to act the part and make sure that all the blame is laid on his twin (he won't rat out his twin directly, but he really doesn't need to). However, he’s usually the one behind the tacks on the teacher’s chair and the spray paint in the stairwell.
When he’s with his twin, most of these behaviors are worsened because of Damon’s power. He’ll be the one placing the bucket over the door even while his twin is urging him not to.
Angelo is very confident, very sneaky, and will usually get his way. In other words, he’s a brat.
Still, he and his twin are close and even if they don’t agree on most points, Angelo will often stick up for his twin if Damon is getting hurt.
Picture(optional):
Weaknesses, strengths?:
Weaknesses: He can’t get too much done if his power is getting people to do the opposite of what he wants them to do. Other than that, he’s got the same amount of strength as a normal kid, can be hurt like a normal kid, and can get sick like a normal kid. In fact, he’s more prone to sickness than Damon.
Strengths: He’s very confident and the whole angelic appearance tend to make people assume he’s one of the good guys. His power also helps in this assumption since people feel like better people around him. He, like Damon, can also fly.
History/Family:
They’ve been special since birth. When Angelo came out, everyone in the room was amazed by such a beautiful, peaceful child. He made them all feel like… like they were a part of something greater than themselves. Like they could go out right then and make a difference in the world. When Damon came out crying, everyone started bickering amongst themselves immediately. It was hard for the two not to be the center of attention from that point on. Damon seemed to be increasingly more troublesome and Angelo shone brighter and better. Angelo had lots of friends, Damon came home nearly every other day with a note from school. At age eight, they woke up complaining of different sorts of pain. Damon complained of pain in his head and the upper and lower parts of his back, Angelo only complained about his back. Since doctors couldn’t find anything abnormal about the two, they were both packed off to school with a reprimand about lying to get out of going to class.
In the middle of class, they both fell out of their seats at the same time. Angelo seemed to be in pain, but Damon was in far worse shape. Angelo grew a pair of feathery white wings and there seemed to be a strange light around him. Damon grew leathery wings, then some horns, then a tail.
Chaos ensued, but the two were finally carted off to a hospital. By the time they got there, it was all over. Angelo appeared as an angel; Damon as a devil.
It was a year before they discovered that they could make the wings retract. Unfortunately for Damon, there was no way to make the other traits disappear. Their parents thought that they might be able to cope in public school as they used to. Unfortunately, the two seemed to be getting in more and more trouble, even Angelo. After a couple of years of transferring and a year of home schooling (liberally interspersed with doctor’s visits), the twins’ parents found Foresta. In the hopes that their sons would find peace at a school for weirdos like them.
Damon and Angelo have an older brother and an older sister. After they were born, their parents were a little too afraid to have any more kids… just in case.
