Name: Bradford Albert
Gender: Male
Age: 50
Power(optional): Power Sensing. Bradford’s only supernatural ability is to sense and recognize other superhuman abilities.
Desired Class/Desired Position: History
Personality: Bradford is a very bubbly person and at times is on the verge of flamboyant, yet he is a down to earth sort of guy who likes his beer and Sunday sports. He enjoys celebrating when the mood calls for it and is very empathetic towards other joys and sorrows. His voice is deep and has a soothing fatherly affection to its sound. Bradford loves company, in fact he prefers it. Even when he is alone he listens to radio programs and music. The quiet and isolation make him uncomfortable.
Appearance: Bradford is fat, fifty and fabulous thank you very much! He is average in height and still has a good amount of his redish-blond hair. His dark eyes are small and have laugh lines on the corners. His face is round and his cheekbones high.
Bradford, though not high-maintenance, is a very well kept man. One some days he doesn’t mind his stubble, on others it’s imperative to stay clean shaven…and that’s usually on date night. He doesn’t mind his weight and has no significant scars or markings such as tattoos. The only thing he doesn’t like about his looks are his hands. He feels they are too rounded and that the fingers are two nobly though recognizes that could be from years of knuckle cracking.
Weaknesses: Bradford sometimes gets jealous of others’ powers and wishes he had a more powerful gift of his own. He doesn’t put a lot of stock into his intelligence, despite the years dedicated to his study. Bradford also chooses heart over mind when it comes to problems. He tries very hard to make everyone happy and is unsatisfied if the results or poor in someone’s favour.
Strengths: A true optimist. For Bradford, there is a silver lining on every cloud. He understands emotions and cherishes the fact that he is a go to guy when someone has a problem they need to work through. He is patient and slow to anger.
History: Bradford had a normal childhood. He was raised in a small town in the west and had an older brother who died fighting over seas and a sister who lives happily with a husband and three of her own, none of whom showed signs of supernatural gifts. Bradford saved up to go to an east coast school for his Master’s degree in history since he started a paper boy route at the age of seven.
He loved books and his parents always say that he was reading before he could walk and talk. Bradford however always said he wasn’t reading so much as enjoying the smell of old paper. Like most boys, he dated in high school, cut class to neck in the parking lot with the girl he was going steady with and smoked cigarettes without parental knowledge. His girlfriend, Mitsy Roberts, was his first true love and they dated all four years of high school and attempted a long term relationship in their first semester of college. But it was in college that Bradford first learned of his preference for boys.
Until freshman year it had never occurred to him that he would be homosexual, but he soon realized that all the boys in his town were like him; big and loud and rough with working the earth. He liked the delicate sort of man, though not the feminine. Mitsy was heartbroken and had even wondered if she had too many masculine qualities to be woman enough for a straight male. Bradford assured her that she did not and they remain great friends. To this day, he often refers to her as his wife and if she doesn’t approve of his boyfriend’s, Bradford is quick to boot those silly sods to the curb!
