It had been ten minutes since Martina had walked into the gym and made her way to the still rings, and about five minutes since she had actually started using them. Doing various stretches was a pain in the ass for her, but she enjoyed it nonetheless. The still rings required a lot of upper body strength, and surprisingly enough the older woman had quite a bit of that strength to use.
With a lot on her mind, Martina found that gymnastics was a good way to release her stress. It kept her in shape and got her mind off of things, that was the point after all. Stretching out her arms for a moment, Martina pushed herself up to the point where it looked like she was doing a handstand in mid air as she straightened herself out. Staying like that for a moment, the sound of the gym door closing disrupted her thoughts and she let go of the still rings on accident - falling to the mat hand first. "Agh, shit!" Martina let out a loud yell as she collided with the mat - the small noise of a bone cracking in her wrist going along with her scream.

She was a slip of a thing really. Tobias wasn't at all surprised she had fallen to the doom of her wrist, and he went to her all the same, his thick brows arched and pinched together in a sympathetic cringe as he looked at the bulging flesh. He wasn't sure what had urged him to go into the gym in the first place. He was a thinker not a doer and lifting weights and the like was most certainly doing.
"Ah now, that's got to hurt so," he said couching to her level. It wasn't wonderful to look at the misplaced wrist and he felt as though it was his fault for walking in. Having thought that however, Tobias did think her foolish for not minding herself. "Lets get you to patched up or it won't be right." He offered her his large square hands, not wanting to move her too quickly unless the pain went to her head.

Martina closed her eyes tight and bit down on her lower lip, resisting the urge to yell out - instead letting out a small sob. Looking up at Tobias and seeing that he was offering help, Martina's teeth still held onto her lip - feeling as if if she were to open her mouth then she might scream again. Scrunching her face in sheer pain with her eyes watering, Martina moved her uninjured hand to Tobias's larger one - still unsure on whether or not she should move the rest of her body. On her other arm, her hand was slightly crooked on her arm and she grimaced as she looked at it for a moment. Giving her eyes back to Tobias she finally spoke, "P-P-Pop it," she gasped and yelled as she moved her injured wrist a fraction of an inch - a jolt of pain thundering up through her arm and straight through her body. "Back i-i-i-into p-place!" Martina bit down on her lip again - honestly resisting the urge to completely cry.

Tobias stared at her when she said this and rolled his eyes. Was she trying to prove herself? He had half a mind to scoop her up and whisk her to the hospital wing. However, since Martina was his employer and she was so keen on keeping put, Tobias did as was told. He leaned in, quietly offering her his shoulder in case she needed to bite something. If he had had a sweater or a pencil of sorts he would have offered that instead. However it was summer and Tobias was not in the habit of keeping writing utensils in his pockets. So, Martina would just have to settle for boney shoulder blade. Normally Tobias was the type to use the countdown method, and he had done it with his daughter constantly for annual shots. However, he cave Martina no warning and snapped her wrist back together with an effortless movement.

As her wrist was snapped into place, Martina let out a high pitched scream as she once again felt nothing but pain echo throughout her whole entire body this time. Knocking her forehead into Tobias's shoulder, she didn't take the hint that she could bite him - but instead just stayed there a shook for a moment - finally letting a few tears escape. Breathing hard, Martina just stayed where she was for a moment - her face buried in Tobias's shoulder until she felt she could move - her other hand having been on the mat with her nails digging into it. "I can't move yet," the older woman said quite simply with her eyes still closed in pain.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t quite get that,” Tobias mumbled. “Could you scream in my other ear?” Loud enough for her to hear he added, “No worries. In your own time.” Though he couldn’t help but want to remove himself from her clawing grip to fetch a healer. Tobias breathed in the scent of her hair, the earthy sweat mingled with lemongrass and he wondered if it was a type of shampoo. He patted the top of her head awkwardly and asked, “should I go and get someone…or ice?”
Although the a/c was on Tobias could feel the summer heat streaming through the windows and he knew she must be getting uncomfortable, if not dehydrated. Then again, maybe she could grow herself like some weird self-farmer for body parts. He had thought his curse left him shunned from society but his month at the school had taught him otherwise. How deep did the well go in human genetics? “How are you feeling now?” he asked after few moments had passed.

Martina bit down on her lip, resisting the temptation of speak again just because of Tobias's response. Instead she leaned her forehead against Tobias's shoulder, and as he spoke again she let out a light sigh - her body still quivering in pain and shock from her wrist. She took a deep breath and moved slightly, her face still wet from her tears. "I could use some ice," she said this time without stuttering. Why had this man even come into the gym? she wondered briefly to herself, she thought a little longer and then realized that this person was one of her employee's. This time quickly trying to move away from him, she winced as her wrist moved - but despite her thinking being foggy she still realized that cuddling up to one of her employee's was not the best of idea's.
Letting out a long sigh, she looked down at her wrist then back up at Tobias- honestly surprising herself by not blushing yet- doubling checking that thinking process though she scrunched her face, why the hell would she blush for goodness sake? "Just get some ice for me, would you please? I'll wait right here."

“Right,” said Tobias slowly, getting to his feet. He strode across the gym with quick and sure steps, exiting through the metal double doors. Before making it too far down the fitness corridor, Tobias remembered the first aid kit next to the payphones and the lavatories opposite the gym doors. He thought to check for an icy hot pack first, and luck was with him.
He took the bag out and then a wooden brace and wrappings as well. Had he not been so curious about looking at all the bits of the school, he wouldn’t have wondered into the gym and Martina wouldn’t have fallen. Or, she would have but he wouldn’t have been around to help. Tobias wasn’t sure which.
He returned to her quickly, his footsteps echoing in the emptiness. Pushing the hair out of his face so he could see, Tobias broke the pack over the boniest part of his knee and felt the chemicals rush through the packaging. He clicked his tongue at the swollen lump of flesh and handed Martina the pack. “I’ve got the dressings here as well,” he added pointing to the obvious wrappings.
