Erin took a deep breath and then sighed heavily as she collapsed onto one of the couchs that were in the student lounge. Jared was jabbering on about pointless things and the person Erin wanted to see at this moment for some reason wasn't there. Mostly frustrated with herself Erin laid down on the couch and put her arm over her eyes, hoping that eventually the whole world would fade; but no... she could still hear Jared going on about how she was starting something that would eventually leave her heartbroken again.
"You're the one who broke up with him, and now you want to be all nicey nice again?" "... yeah" "What's wrong with you?" "I can't help it!" Erin sighed heavily and rolled onto her side, literally wanting to suffocate herself with the couch cushion.
"Anyways, it's not healthy... you're just going to start having those panic attacks you did like last time."
Jared's reminder was painful. After she had broken up with Alex, everything seemed fine for awhile until she started to make little mistakes. Like dropping a glass or something, a tiny little thing would literally make her almost pass out from panic. "Just leave me alone," Erin moaned burying her face into one of the cushions. Jared shrugged and walked out of the room, she'd get over him eventually he thought.

Alexander Bandon held the phone as though it was going to bite him. The voice on the other line was male, and obviously furious with him. Alex wasn't particularly scared of his father, but he certainly hated him because he was one of the few people who could pull strings and make it so Alexander never saw daylight or open sky again.
As much as he disliked to admit it, his father was powerful in his infuriating, snivelling way.
A couch was facing away from the doorway, but he noticed that it was occupied as he truly entered the room. The occupant was obviously female, but he didn't recognize her with a pillow over her face.
He was too distracted to pay much attention to her anyways. He'd spent the last few hours in his room, avoiding the one person here who made him feel weak. He'd suggested they meet in the field, but he realized what was happening and came up with a plan. Perhaps Erin would avoid him from now on, like he was avoiding her.
Alexander collapsed in an armchair, phone still open and voice still blaring. He had nothing to say to the man, so he would just wait until the idiot ran out of things to mention for his tirade. Today, the focus was his lack of motivation to do well in school, how he'd already been held back twice, how he was never going to graduate... how he would never amount to anything more than a criminal...

Wallowing in her own pity, Erin just barely heard the noise coming from the phone that Alex was on. She didn't even realize he had walked into the room, that was until she sat up and looked around for a moment in curiousity as to who was on the phone. It was that same sensation again, the whole time pausing kind of thing...
Shaking her head for a moment she pointed at him accusingly "What the hell are you doing here you wimp?!" she practically yelled at him. Erin felt she had all the right to call him a wimp for various reasons, the main one being that he had stood her up. It didn't really matter to her that he was on the phone at the moment, all that really mattered was that he was actually there. Which was sort of surprising and annoying at the same time.

Suddenly, there were more important things than his useless father's tirade going on. Alexander turned the phone off calmly while his father was still speaking and turned to look at Erin. He had hidden his shock and disappointment in seeing her here very well and the only thing revealed in his expression was a cold indifference to her anger.
He knew that if he kept himself distant, he would make her even angrier at him. It was increasingly difficult, but he would have to hold out as long as he could.
Alex took a cue from the most infuriating person on the planet, his father. His mouth curved into a cruel smirk and he asked darkly, "What are you talking about? Why shouldn't I be here?"
Alright. Just keep this up. It should be easy- she might just be the reason you missed your chance at freedom last time...
Overcome these weak feelings. Face it and prove that you're more than a match for her charms. Stupid things like love and affection were your downfall last time.

Erin gaped at him for a second, seeming sort of surprised at the cold shoulder that he was giving her. Although she couldn't say she wasn't expecting it, after yesterday she assumed something was up with him but she really didn't know what. Asking to meet and then not being there, she glared at him getting increasingly angry at the fact that she had this strange urge to go over there and instead slapping that expression of his face she wanted to kiss it away instead.
"You should know exactly what I'm talking about, what's the point of asking to meet me if you're not going to be there?" she stood up, finding it easier to be more angry when she was on her own two feet.

Alex had mixed feelings about this entire thing. On one hand, he was delighted that his plan was working and she was getting mad. On the other hand, he was battling a whisper in his mind that protested upsetting her like this. She'd been through a lot already and it wasn't right to make her life unhappy now when she'd just come out of a dark chapter.
He didn't look at her- that only made it harder. He stared blankly ahead and said cooly, "You're crazy. I have no idea what you're referring to." Another smirk came to his face as he added, "And even if I did, what makes you think I need to explain my actions to you? I don't care about what you think. For all I care, you can come to your own conclusions."

Erin hated it how he had to be so cold to her. She knew it was her fault, but she wanted the other him back- this person just scared her a little bit. Instead of letting her fear take control though she walked over to him roughly pushing his chin up (since he was afterall sitting down) so he would look her in the eye, "Look at me when you're talking so that I know you mean it," she said to him suddenly seeming mellow. Anger was useless, but she still had that strong urge to slap him.

Alexander glared at her and grabbed the wrist of the hand that had touched his face. He stood up quickly so he was looking down at her. "You touch me again, you will not appreciate the results." He released her hand violently and pushed her away so that he could step around the edge of the chair. He did not want to be penned in.
Why was he still so weak? After what happened between them, he was not supposed to care. He didn't want to care.
"I mean what I say. I despise you and everything we had. I am no longer the weak fool you seduced with battle. You've no hold on me anymore." His jaw tightened and he took another step away from the girl. "All I want and need is my freedom- from you, from this school, from everyone and and everything. You'll not deny me that."

Erin stared at him for a moment,"Fine then," she suddenly said "I won't deny you anything but I just want to ask you to do one simple thing." She straightened up for a moment infront of him backing up a few inches, she rooted herself to the ground now not really knowing what to expect if he was going to do what she was going to ask him. "You despise me? Then punch me," she stared at him stubbornly- her eyes full of fire. If he was actually speaking the truth the Erin seriously doubted that he would hesitate, "Aim it right here," she tapped the side of her jaw lightly. One part of her was nervous as hell, the other part having some strange confidence that he would refuse or hesitate. Either way she was begining to be more pessimistic then optimistic.

What the Hell was this?!? Alex should have known better than to show her mercy. He raised a fist, as though he was going to punch her.
But he couldn't. He tried, but only ended up yelling something incoherent and pushing her. He had a firm on her shoulders and he just kept pushing until she hit the nearest wall and slid her up a bit so that her feet were not touching the floor. Sure, she hit the surface kind of hard, but Alex knew that his punch would have been hard enough to break something.
He was breathing hard and the wild look in his eyes combined with the muscles flexing through his shirt only added to his look of complete abandon. "You have no right!" he growled, "No right to tempt me like this."

Erin winced as she was slammed against the wall, his reaction was quicker then the hope that had slowly risen in her heart at his hesitation. Also breathing hard, she grabbed his wrists "I'm not doing this purposely!" she yelled at him getting ready to raise her legs up "You're the one being tempted," with her words Erin raised her hips slightly and then kicked him in the stomach with both of her feet in hopes that he would let go of her.

Her feet connected with abs and he was forced back. He let go as this happened, naturally. He didn't show any sign of pain as he recovered, though. It hadn't really hurt that much, given the fights he'd had in the past. It did, however, manage to knock the wind out of him.
He pointed warningly at Erin. "You-" he said, his chest heaving as he caught his breath, "just stay away from me."
Alexander just stood there, rooted to the spot by anger and maybe something else. The cell phone started vibrating on the armchair where he had left it, but Alex's eyes remained on Erin.

Erin landed on her feet, putting one hand on the wall for balance. "Fine," she said angrily. Deciding it was about time to walk away from this argument anyways she looked at him for a second then over to his cell phone that was vibrating. "You might want to answer that," she said to him lingering only for a second before she headed to the door and walked out.

Alex waited until she left, then took the vibrating phone and threw it against a wall, where it broke.
