Ahoth Seoc
NICKNAME Saint of Hair Products AGE Biologically 25, actual age unknown
BIRTHDAY three GENDER Male, formerly genderless
SPECIES Mortal Seraph SEXUALITY Demisexual
ROLE Caretaker and head of a small church on the edge of town.
POWER Ahoth’s power lies in being linked to Iscah. The two of them are each half of one original angelic warrior of complete badassness and justice, having split apart in recent years to better conceal their angelic swagger. Ahoth is essentially the brains and compassion of the operation and only has the power to sense evilness and wicked intent.
Iscah is essentially their former heavenly might wrapped up into a package of pure grumpiness. When manifesting she appears as a floating armored silhouette composed of brilliant light sprouting six wings from the back that are also composed of pure light of pureness. Iscah does not necessarily have to conjure a complete humanoid figure, and instead can just appear as the upper torso looming over Ahoth like some kind of lightbulb bodyguard. The brightness can be adjusted if the Seraph-shard concentrates on it. In contrast to Ahoth detecting evil, Iscah can sense when someone is in need of assistance, with the strength of the signal only amplified if the endangered individual is praying to heavenly powers for help.
Iscah becomes physical when manifesting and has incredible strength and durability to which she utilizes to click delete on anything that comes across as both evil and a threat. She also has the ability to create beams of holy light by flapping all 6 wings simultaneously in one direction. The lasers do absolutely nothing to inanimate objects, but when it connects with a being it scorches them in proportion to the amount of evil and corruption they posses. Animals are barely irritated by the attack do to not being sapient and thus being unable to properly judge based on their actions. Demons and other beings in direct opposition to His Gracefulness get the worst of it, with the lasers showering them with holy flame that stay even after the beam has dissipated.
The link between the two causes them to share any damage the other takes, in proportion to how much that damage actually did to the one it was initially inflicted upon. In short Iscah getting punched by a normal human will mildly hurt Ahoth too, and Ahoth being punched in the jaw would be noticeably painful for Iscah. Naturally this means if one dies so does the other.
APPEARANCE Ahoth adheres to the apparent standard of being 6 feet tall and has a decently muscular. Blonde hair in a state of poofy curls sits atop his skull, poofing back up the moment his hair fails to meet its normal poofiness. His eye color are an almost grossly incandescent shade of gold, a hint at his heavenly origins. Not a single blemish can be found any where on his body, save for six jagged scars that run down his upper-back in pairs. You can bet his teeth are in perfect as well. He is almost always dressed in some form of clerical or priestly attire, with nifty clerical-vests being a favorite of his. Always has a golden cross shaped pendent hanging from his neck.
PERSONALITY An excellent listener, a kind heart, and the desire to always do the right thing make Ahoth the spitting image of a saint. He is a firm subscriber in the belief that everyone has the potential to do good and great things, and is willing to help almost anyone who desires to better themselves. This compassion even extends to beings he would naturally be opposed to if he believes that they are only evil do to some terrible wrong they have experience in the past, though he will not hesitate to let Iscah pummel them if he feels it necessary. Really the only thing that legitimately can put him in a negative mood are full-blooded Demons, anything more perversely evil than them, Iscah's rather blunt personality and people who act like they want to change for the better but then make absolutely no effort to do so. That last one really grinds his gears.
Iscah on the other hand is much more judgmental of people they encounter, should she find them to be morally unjust she will not hesitate to voice her dislike of them. Her views on supernatural beings that naturally oppose the Angelic Order is almost Templar in function, with the only thing keeping her from purging the wick with holy-fire being orders from the Order and Ahoth's reasoning in more extreme cases. She does however share in Ahoth's compassion for those she deems pure or redeemable, just in a more poorly worded and less personal fashion.
Both of them take great joy whenever someone comes to the church in hopes of spiritual enlightenment, while reading holy scriptures and a mix of prayer and meditation are also activities that both look forward to partaking in. Being around people in general where they can help the instant they are needed is also a preferred way for them to spend time.
WEAKNESSES The shared damage gimmick can be pretty detrimental, seeing as Ahoth is for all intents and purposes human. Iscah is borderline obsessed with dispensing justice which at times can cause the two of them to come into conflicts of interest. The two of them also have to be close to each other due to their spirit-link, throwing one of them would send the other flying for instance.
STRENGTHS While Iscah can be careless and reckless, Ahoth has the patience of a saint and is slow to anger. It’s also very rare that someone could properly perform a sneak attack on them since Ahoth can just sense if someone is planning to attack if they’re close enough. Dark places are also never a problem due to the whole Iscah being composed of light thing.
HISTORY Ahoth and Iscah were once a single being, a seraph who served under a heavenly power in the inner circles of Paradiso. It and its kin watched over all of humanity as they ascended from dust and dirt into the scientific and innovative beings they are today. A policy of non-intervention kept them from interacting with mortals most times, but occasionally they would need to intervene in some way to put an end to issues man could not surpass through sheer willpower and intelligence. Most important of these acts of assistance were those that involved battling their dark counterparts who delighted in the torment of His Favorite Ones. They had mostly been successful so far in their crusade against evil, but now a new problem had arisen in the mortal realm.
All around the globe beings empowered by magical and scientific might were appearing. Biological weapons formed from humans, enchanted beings long thought dormant or extinct, mechanical golems that had begun to think for themselves, humans who seemingly developed powers out of the blue, and even demigods of opposing temples all were seemingly amassing in one location. Man had naturally grown wary of these new creatures, and in many places chaos reigned. Worst of all though was that this madness seemed to act as open invitation to evils from the darkest corners of the realms. A member of their old enemy, a primal being of fiery death, an abomination spawned from sin and fear, and even the forsaken primordial are all seemingly attending this Foresta Academy.
The angelic order has not taken much interest in the school in past times, but with so many threats to His Favorite Ones in one place it was decided that one would have to keep an eye on these dangerous beings, and so these majestic creatures called upon the ancient practice of drawing straws to see who had to do it. This one lost. With its destination set the seraph drew its holy blade and cut itself in two so that its heavenly swa-...his otherworldly aura would be more of a challenge to sense. Taking the guise of a young holy-man and guardian spirit the two have set up shop in a small church they converted from an unoccupied building in the village of Port Albion, close enough that they can keep a distant eye on the Academy and its more dangerous occupants.
In the mean time they serve to spread the word and kindness of His Gracefulness to anyone in need of it.
