FRESHMAN DORMS Students that are considered freshman at Foresta Academy have dorm rooms with the most basic necessities. Typically speaking, students of the same gender as freshman are placed two to a room. There a very few singular rooms for freshman and the freshman that do obtain those rooms managed to do so through a long extended process by appealing to the Head of the school and providing reasons as to why they need the singular rooms. In addition single rooms are quite a bit smaller than the shared dorm rooms.
The basics in shared dorm rooms are as followed - two twin beds, two night stands, four outlets for charging electronics, etc. Two closets anywhere from three to eight feet wide with a depth of 24-30 inches. These two closets have a small shelf up high and a pole to hang clothes on. Lastly there are two small desks on either side of the room for students to use when they decide to study. Anything extra found in freshman dorms rooms are because of the student in question.
*Notes: Please ignore the camera looking thing, I wasn't sure how to remove it and it was there because of the program I was using to get brief glimpses of 3D images. Also the two gray boxes are meant to signify the closets would be against those wall, in Foresta they are not separated but instead in the walls and there is no door on them (some of the reason being so it doesn't run into the desks). This is a VERY general floor plan so you can visually imagine how sparse and small the freshman dorm rooms look. Occasionally in some Freshman dorms there may be a window between the two night stands.Freshman Rooms are from
001-050 | 201-250 | 401-450 | 601-650 | 801-850 | 1001-1050 |
*30% of Freshman Dorms have windows. SOPHOMORE DORMS Sophomore rooms are only a slight bit bigger then freshman rooms, but still retain all the basic necessities as mentioned in freshman dorms. The only thing different is that the closets are slightly bigger as well and there is a coffee maker and a small table placed in the rooms now. Shared rooms are typically larger and the single rooms that are offered are the same size as the single freshman rooms.
*Notes: Like in the dorm room information, the Sophomore dorms are very similar to the freshman dorms excluding a few things. Slightly bigger and an addition of a table and coffee maker. Coffee maker not included in picture, but would be placed on the table in the middle of beds with an outlet behind it. Other outlets included behind desks (same goes for freshman dorms). Same as freshman dorm picture, white blocks meant to signify closets in the walls. Unlike freshman dorms, these closets do not take up the entirety of the walls, but like described in the dorm room information just a slight bit bigger than freshman dorm closets. Some Sophomore dorms have windows on the wall behind the table. Sophomore Rooms are from
051-100 | 251-300 | 451-500 | 651-700 | 851-900 | 1051-1100 |
*50% of Sophomore Dorms have windows. JUNIOR DORMS Junior dorm rooms is where things start to change up a little bit. Rooms begin to vary more in size (typically on a larger scale then Freshman and Sophomore rooms), basic necessities are still offered but some rooms now have full sized beds instead of twin sized. As well some junior rooms offer a mini-fridge, these rooms are considered legendary and almost non-existent because typically a student(s) who obtains this room does not make a point of going around and telling other people. Closets are bigger in size (just a tad bit more than freshman and sophomore rooms) and the desks are a bit bigger as well.
*Notes: There is a window in this room floor plan specifically, some may not have windows and tables instead. This varies from room to room. Closet cubes once more meant to signify the same thing as stated in Freshman and Sophomore dorm rooms. Floor plan shows bare bones of description with barely any additions (excluding maybe the windows). Junior dorms are a bit wider compared to Sophomore and Freshmen.Junior Rooms are from
101-150 | 301-350 | 501-550 | 701-750 | 901-950 | 1101-1150 |
*70% of Junior Dorms have windows. SENIOR DORMS Along with the basics, Senior rooms are large enough to accommodate two full size beds and large closets. There are one or two senior rooms that are said to have an actual full sized fridge in them, but no one has come out and said they are living in those rooms. All senior rooms have full sized beds, two closets, two nightstands, two small tables, one coffee maker and five outlets for charging electronic devices.
*Notes: Larger than Freshman, Sophomore and Junior rooms. Floor plans show bare bones with window and table included. Outlets are located by desks and by nightstands. Closet information same as previously stated in Freshman, Sophomore and Junior dorms. Senior's are offered the largest closets.Senior Rooms are from
151-200 | 351-400 | 551-600 | 751-800 | 951-1000 | 1151-1200 |
*85% of Senior Dorms have windows.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION For every cluster of twenty five dorm rooms is a communal bathroom somewhere in the center region. The design of the bathroom will be based on where it is located, being female oriented if it is within a female cluster and vice-versa. Regardless of design, each bathroom has two separate sections, one labeled for toilets and the other for showers. The first side has about twenty stalls for toilets and the wall opposite is lined with the same amount of sinks, a large mirror-esque mural hung over them. There is no paper towel dispenser or hand drying station for the sinks, when leaving the room a mysterious force will separate the water droplets from the students’ hands. The shower section looks something akin to the dorm hallways. Each shower has a miniature closet-sized room, one half for the shower and the other half divided by a shower curtain and is more so storage so that the student may leave things they would prefer not to get wet, like a fresh set of clothes.
If you decide to make your own dorm description for your character room please refer to this as your base guideline when making a description.
