( WORDS ) 480 ( TAGGED ) @eris & Sandra ( MUSE ) here For once in her life, Iris had actually planned a social gathering.
She was rarely invited or attended ones of her own, so she even shocked herself by asking Sandra and Eris along to accompany her at the beach. Of course, the young woman had already planned on taking a trip down there at some point, but now she could enjoy the beach with her friends, even if one of them couldn't physically swim. There was still plenty to do without water, and she intended to try it out with Sandra. At least being on the beach was a natural element that had always circulated throughout her life, seeing that Minnie didn't have enough money to take her to any amusement parks or anything of the sort, and she simply fell in love with the natural beaches they were able to seek out. For every vacation she could remember, the shores had always been there as a perfectly viable and most likely used option. A smile elated her features as she stepped onto the midday sand, letting the minuscule rocks shower onto her toes as she held her flip-flops in one hand and a fairly large bag in the other.
As for her attire, she dressed, as promised, in the bikini Minnie so generously gave to her as one of the parting gifts she received before attending Foresta. It wasn't all that spectacular, since it was only a black, string bikini, but anything her caretaker gave to her deserved to be cherished like some sort of ancient artifact, or at least, this is what Iris believed. And, it wasn't as if she was completely comfortable wearing the article of clothing either, seeing that she constantly tried to pull up its top and readjust it in fear of bearing too much. She'd probably be the last person most would think to seem so insecure about the new look, and chose to wear a pair of high-waisted shorts as well, despite having a physique that fit the bathing suit quite well and displayed her figure and skinny frame in an appealing light. Not an ounce of excess or pudgy fat could be found on her bodice. Nonetheless, she chose not to remove the shorts until she was going to enter the water. Along with this, she actually wore a pair of dark-lensed sunglasses and permitted her hair to be tied back into a loose ponytail, something that she normally wouldn't do, but found it appropriate for the current circumstances she was in. Finding a somewhat secluded spot on the shore, she laid out a large towel and set down her bag, as well as taking out a bottle of sunscreen to begin applying it over her pale skin. Her eyes flickered about for any signs of the other two, and with her doubtful nature, she wondered if they'd show up at all. I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW WHO I AM |

Eris really wasn't the type of guy to go to the beach, in truth he really wasn't the type of guy to go outside in general. As he made his way through the forest with only Poseidon on his shoulder, as well clad in dark blue swim trunks and loose fitting even darker t-shirt - the young man easily felt out of place. It didn't even help either that he was quite pale compared to most of the students around the school, something that made it even more obvious that he didn't fit with doing outdoor activities. Alas though, the things men do for love. Finally managing to get his feet to touch sand, it only took a few more minutes of walking for Eris to spot Iris laying out. It caused the young man to stop for a moment, taking a deep breath and considering whether or not he should even walk anymore. What are you so afraid of? She looks good.
Scratch that, the girl is stunning!
Eris swallowed and shook his head, adjusting the towel that he had slung around his shoulders. Walking up to Iris then, the young man took note of the sunscreen that she had brought and almost immediately felt like an idiot. "Sunscreen was a good idea," he commented to the girl then - looking surprisingly awkward in the way that he was standing near her. "I should probably walk back and go get some..." Eris trailed off then - squinting at the forest as if distracted by something before turning his attention back to Iris.

Sandra knew her way around the forest like she knew how to operate a space shuttle, she was lost before she even started to try and figure it out. She eventually found her way after stumbling across a river. Even she knew that a small body of water had to lead to a bigger one eventually. Lucky her it also happened to be the beach that Iris had picked for her social gathering of two other people. Sandra supposed she could only one up her on the amount of guests she usually got for movie nights. It didn’t matter anyway.
It looked as though Iris and Eris had already set up for the day, so Sandra was the latest of them all. She investigated the boy for a moment or two. So, this was the boy that Iris talked so much about. From a distance he seemed meh to her. Although their combined paleness could rival a star going supernova and if they touched they’d probably create black holes. Her mind was on space for whatever reason today, maybe it was because she wasn’t fully there. Besides, like she was one to comment about pale people, she was just as if not worse than either one of them. Actually with a second inspection, she figured there was no possible way she was worse than their bare bodies.
As Sandra’s shoes crossed the threshold between the sand of the beach and grass of the fields behind her, she got a better look at Iris’s swim suit. She held some sort of jealousy that the woman fit so well into her bikini despite the fact she continuously adjusted the upper half. It was just something about her slim figure and the fact she had no fat on her body to speak of, but it was more of an afterthought than anything else. It didn’t make her think anything else of her own attire. Since she couldn’t swim without running the risk of hypothermia, she instead came for the company. Sandra sometimes saw herself as a risk taker, but when it came to her powers she preferred that she avoided tampering with it. Anything after her incident in the woods during winter made her think twice.
Her attire was nothing that related to the act of swimming, a simple pair of jeans and a plain black shirt to absorb heat better. She wasn’t planning on joining them anyway, unless the beach turned out to have some sort of underwater volcano. She did bring a towel though, it was stuffed in her armpit for the time being though. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure the sun’s pissed about how you keep hiding from it” she interjected as she finally joined the group.

( WORDS ) 444 ( TAGGED ) @sandra & Eris ( MUSE ) here The young woman carefully removed her shorts to finish applying the sunscreen across her thighs and lower stomach then, as well as spraying some of it across her back. By now, she was nearly certain that she would be defended against the sun's harmful rays, especially with so much of her body exposed. She felt quite self-conscious, seeing that she was a bit more on the skinnier side than she probably should've been, though it was nearly unnoticeable if one didn't look for it. Just as she was beginning to believe that neither of the two were going to show up, Eris's form revealed itself to her from the border of the forest. Her eyes ignited with delight as she sat up, her skin glistening with the extra layer of skin protection now slathered across her body, and smiled in his direction. "H-Hello," she greeted with a polite nod, pulling herself to a stand and watching her male companion carefully. The way he held himself was unlike the other times he'd been around her, and for whatever reason, he didn't seem as comfortable around her as before. Hadn't they grown close enough to be at ease in each other's company, or had Iris rushed into things? A slight frown passed over her expression as she listened to his abrupt words. He was about her skin tone, so the need for protection wasn't a surprise to her.
"I-If you'd like," she offered, holding out her bottle of sunscreen to him, "Y-You can use m-mine, I w-wouldn't mind. I-It will s-save you a t-trip." Now that she'd grown so comfortable with his presence, her stuttering became less and less prominent in her natural speaking tone. She glanced down at her torso briefly, making sure that she hadn't missed any areas, before returning her gaze to Eris. Her attention was temporarily redirected as Sandra approached them, though, and she found herself smiling broadly. It had been a long time since she felt so much joy well up inside of her, especially when she was so doubtful about this gathering as a whole. Suddenly the brief bouts of anxiety she endured didn't seem so bad if this was the kind of reward she'd receive. "H-Hi Sandra," she said, politely dipping her head to the other girl, "I-I'm very glad th-that you c-could make i-it." Shifting her gaze between the two she gestured to each one as she introduced each of them, "E-Eris, this is m-my friend S-Sandra, and S-Sandra, this i-is Eris." It only made sense that she'd introduce them as the mutual friend, as she had with Silas and Eris, and it appeared to have worked well. I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW WHO I AM |

Eris frowned, quite significantly at the presence of the other girl. It was unusual though considering the fact that the young man barely ever showed emotions at all. Poseidon seemed to show the same regard to the new girl, but less so in a manner thanks to the fact that it was usually hard to see the doll's expressions unless one were to carefully observe. She already told you this girl was coming, I don't see what you're so upset about. Eris stayed quiet despite the urge to reply to Gaia and just as he was about to acknowledge Sandra, Iris seemed to speak up and the young diverted his attention back to his interest.
You should probably use her sunscreen, it is a wiser decision. Eris hesitated for a moment before finally leaning over and taking a hold of the bottle that Iris had offered him. He didn't get to hold the bottle for too long though when Iris started to introduce him to one of her friends. "Hello," Eris said easily to Sandra - unsure as to what the girl was about. As he looked to Sandra though, Poseidon took this time to jump down from Eris (which was quite a jump) and land quite gracefully in the sand. Poseidon wasn't too interested in socializing today, but instead wanted to work on his water skills. The doll only managed to get a few feet before Eris turned to it briefly, "Don't go too far." Poseidon turned back briefly and nodded, the dolls similarity with it's puppeteers personality almost uncanny.

Iris’s greeting to Sandra did not go unnoticed, but for some reason the waves stroking against the sand at the shore became very alluring to her eyes. Her attention snapped back onto the other woman as she continued speaking with her and introducing her to the boy. Okay, so it was Eris and not Silas. Good, she knew at least one of their faces now. She assumed it was Eris, but she couldn’t ever be certain if Iris chose to invite both of them or not. “Yeah, I’m pretty glad I made it too, I thought that goddamn forest was gonna eat me up again. Apparently I have a decent natural sense of direction, too bad that’s not applicable to sitting in my room all day.”
Sandra found it somewhat funny that she earned the prefix of friend, but Eris didn’t when Iris was introducing them. Probably a bit more than she would have normally, she was lingering on other people’s words more often than she would usually today. The boy didn’t have much to say to her outside of hello. He definitely didn’t seem like the talkative type. As wonder began to cross her mind, she nodded at Eris’s greeting. “Not much of a talker are you?” she replied in a simplistic tone and turned over to her friend. “You know, when we first met you could only speak in one word intervals. How the hell were you able to get through an afternoon with this guy?” she inquired as she slowly brought her attention back to the boy. “No offense. Just saying, I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during that day.”
Sandra idly watched as the doll that was rested upon the man’s shoulder hopped off and retreated toward the ocean. She was about to make a comment of why the man had the puppet thing to begin with, but being that it was alive she didn’t question it as much. After thinking over her reasoning, it didn’t make much sense to those who hadn’t experienced gifted folk who could possess dolls. If Sandra hadn’t already been aware of another student that had such a power, she might have been curious.

( WORDS ) 518 ( TAGGED ) @sandra & Eris ( MUSE ) here Once again, Iris was caught in between two companions that previously hadn't known each other, but she wasn't nearly as anxious about it as she'd been before. They were both such kind people, what issues could she possibly have? Nonetheless, Eris's sour expression didn't go by her unnoticed. Had she said something rude? Or perhaps he wasn't feeling well? Before she could ask, though, she watched as Sandra made a witty remark about finding her way out of the forest. A small smile and nod passed through the young woman in response, not wanting the incident when they'd first met to happen again. Sandra probably had enough of that to deal with, and certainly Eris wouldn't want to be exposed to anything that dire.
As usual, Eris really didn't say much to the other girl, and Sandra didn't let an opportunity to acknowledge it pass her by. She was right, he wasn't a very chatty person, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, especially when Iris could hardly talk as it was. Her green optics followed her companion as she ventured to speak, before clasping her hands together and speaking in an earnest manner, "W-Well, w-we've h-had some l-longer conversations b-before, but I th-think that I can b-be hard t-to understand s-sometimes.. B-But Eris has been v-very tolerant, s-so I think y-you'd be s-surprised with h-how much we can s-speak, e-even if it's mostly m-me rambling.." She managed a sheepish smile, forcing her mind to remain on the task at hand and not on she and Eris's previous encounter. If she tried to keep things as they had been before, then there wouldn't be anything to worry about. Iris then found herself waving to the doll as it hopped off of Eris's shoulder, offering a weak smile as she murmured. "B-Bye, Poseidon.." Out of all of the souls, he was certainly one of the most memorable, especially since he was the only male she'd encountered. Peering about the gently rolling waves, she decided that they should at least get themselves situated before heading into the water.
"H-How have y-you b-both been d-doing?" she inquired, wanting to get into the rhythm of engaging conversation herself. As she spoke, she sat down upon her towel once more and proceeded to gesture the other two to do the same. A bit more of her stutter became evident as she eyed the the other groups of people stepping onto the beach, and all at once, her bathing suit suddenly gave her an overwhelming sense of vulnerability. She'd only worn it to honor Minnie, but even so, she couldn't bring herself to feel too comfortable with so many people around, and she pulled another towel carefully over her body. Iris also released her hair from the confines of its ponytail, finding it simpler to disguise her face that way. All of the confidence she'd thought she'd built up slowly dribbled out of her as she watched the other students and families step onto the beach, though she tried to speak naturally to her companions, "... I-It's good th-that.. U-Um.. I-It's a n-nice d-day today.." I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW WHO I AM |

Eris frowned at Sandra as the young woman commented on his lack of talking, it wasn't something he intentionally tried to do. It was just how he was. "No offense taken." Eris said simply with an almost apathetic tone as his eyes drifted back to Iris. You should tell the other girl off so you can have alone time with her.
He's already had plenty of alone time with her, how much more could he need? Enough to score, of course. Ugh, stop being so gross.
"She's right, we've had plenty of fine conversations." What a bore, I like this new chick. You should hook up with her. Eris frowned deeply as he attempted to focus on Iris while the female souls chattered on in his head. "Finished my classes for the summer." Eris replied to the girl with ease, sitting down as he did so. Despite having a towel, Eris didn't bother to lay it out to sit on it but instead still kept the item slung around his shoulders. Eris, please I like this new chick I want to talk to her - pleeeassseeee I want to talk to her. A moment's hesitation and Eris muttered out a small no as he looked away from both of the girls before looking back at them again. "Are you off for the summer, Iris?" Eris asked the young girl then - noting how she had started to hide away at the appearance of random new people on the beach.

Sandra nodded along with what Iris had put forward to defend her and her friend’s sociability. Iris rambled to other people? With how she spoke to Sandra most of the time she was under the assumption that she spoke to no one else in such long winded conversations. Given how well she was at it, she supposed it was a big hint at that. Still though, the heat sink was curious about what they talked about on a regular occasion. Given that Iris started off with ‘how was your day’ she supposed they didn’t have very deep and in depth conversations. Perhaps their favoured topic of conversation was how little they spoke to other people, an ironic subject indeed. She enjoyed the thought though.
The sheepish girl was quick to shelter herself in a towel. At first it confused Sandra since she was still under the belief that they were the only ones on the beach, but as she spun her head around one edge of her brow line elevated. Of course, more people. It was probably silly for any in the group to believe that they were going to be alone on the beach. Which brought her attention back to Iris. Why was she wearing a bikini if she wasn’t comfortable in one? There was no mistaking her unsubtle move of hiding herself. Right, it was a gift from her caretaker. A bit of substance probably interfered with that thought process. She circled around her friend until she was behind her and yanked the towel straight off her back, almost disregarding her attempts at small talk. “Oh ho ho no, you’re not getting out that easy. Minnie bought you that, you’re showing it off. And if someone makes fun of you, don’t you worry I’ll find them.” She nodded with a half exposing grin.
As for the boy though, he seemed to be only directly interested in Iris and reassured his point by addressing his question to her exclusively. Eris had his subtle way of trying to butt her out of the conversation, but his ways were no match to the cliquey girls she used to hang around with. She wasn’t going to be ignored so easily. Besides, the two were going to have enough time to bond without her in the water. The boy can display his dominance all he wanted then, but on the shore it was going to be Sandra turf. “Eh, better now that the temperature is survivable again. Still scouting and summer classes to attend to though, but whatever I’ll get that math credit eventually. You’re missing out though Eris, I heard Lemaire’s an easy credit.”

( WORDS ) 745 ( TAGGED ) @eris & Sandra ( MUSE ) here The more people that entered onto the beach, the more regretful Iris became of being so scantily clad... Or at least, that's how she viewed it. She'd lived in one-pieces all of her life, and now it was evident that this was an abrupt change in style. Minnie had always emphasized the fact to her that she should be embracing her youth and flaunting what she was given, but the shy girl wasn't very keen on following these instructions. But, seeing how much she loved her caretaker, she was willing to obey her wishes when she bought her something to revealing and out of her comfort zone, even though she wasn't comfortable with it now. Her thoughts were rudely interrupted when Sandra strode behind her and tugged the towel off of her shoulders, causing Iris to squeak in surprise as a perpetual habit. Instinctively, her arms crossed over her chest without the security of the towel present as she whipped around to face her companion. As usual, Sandra's voice of reason was enough to deter her from her typically conservative mindset for the sake of her ill caretaker. "U-Um.. Y-Yes, you're r-right, I-I'm sorry," she breathed, turning back around and feeling her hand along her quartz necklace to try and calm herself. Her eyes traveled down to her thin torso, gazing at herself and picking out every feature that she was unhappy with. Really, her hip bones shouldn't have stuck out that much, and her ribcage could've been a bit more well hidden behind some substantial skin... Just as the first drop of her blood was beginning to seep from her index finger, though, she heard a reply from a distinctly male tone rise into the air.
"Th-That's good t-to hear," she responded to him with a feeble smile, dropping her hands into her lap to press them together anxiously. For a few moments, she'd forgotten the presence of her companions and had succumbed to her self-harming tactic. But, she didn't have time to feel embarrassed as she listened to Eris's next question. It was odd how his gaze seemed to glue itself to hers and less Sandra's, but the young woman ignored it for the time being. She nodded slowly and murmured quietly, "I-I a-am too, but I-I decided t-to take a-an extra a-art class, s-since I-I thought i-it'd be f-fun.." Her eyes then shifted to Sandra as she replied. It was understandable that she would be irritated by the heat, especially when she had so much of it stored up, but she was glad to hear that she was working on her studies. Any sort of achievement or goal that a companion had in mind was one that Iris took to heart. "I-I wish y-you w-well in g-getting that c-credit," the young woman replied to her friend encouragingly, though flinched slightly as another group passed by them. Iris's posture exuded submission, seeing that she was slightly hunched over and drawn into herself, though it lessened in severity once the other people had left their general vicinity. Her eyes flickered between her companions as she shook off the small droplet of blood that had stuck to her finger and adjusted her top slightly, almost obsessed with trying to cover herself up a bit now. Hopefully they'd enter the water soon enough, and then she could feel marginally more concealed. "Is th-this.. R-Right?" she asked no one in particular, sighing with resignation as she stopped continually fussing with her bathing suit to peer up at a sudden sound erupting at her right.
Apparently, despite whatever rules were enforced concerning the beaches, someone had brought a dog to the beach. The canine appeared to be a beagle, with a short stature and a signature howling to its bark, though no matter what breed of animal it was, Iris never found herself completely comfortable around them. She preferred quiet animals, and though she did take to most dogs on the mellower side, this one was the complete opposite. It bounded up to her, yet before it could place its paw on her thigh, she released a pitiful squeak and jolted backwards so that she sat wedged between her two friends. The young woman trembled violently as its owner beckoned it back to him with a sharp whistle, causing the dog to turn and bound in the opposite direction. Glancing at Eris and Sandra, she whispered an apology as she began to pull away from them, "I-I'm.. S-Sorry." I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW WHO I AM |

For some strange reason while he sat in the company of these two girls, Eris was beginning to feel that there was never going to be an occasion where he would be without a female. It also didn't help that while Sandra and Iris talk to him and among each other that he had all the souls in his head talking about the conversation that he was already having with Iris and Sandra in the first place. It was when Sandra pulled the towel away from Iris that the young man turned his face away from the two for a moment, hiding a slight blush. You've practically made out with Iris already, I don't see what you're getting so embarrased about.
Oh, shut-up Leto! Let the boy be embarrased! It's adorable. You know what's also adorable? Letting me talk to this new girl, that's definitely adorable. Ha ha, Leto. Ha ha. At least you think she's funny.
"Would you stop it, you're not going to talk to her." Eris finally muttered out-loud before realizing that Sandra was talking. "Lemaire? He's math, isn't he? I've already got all my credits for that. It would be a waste to take anymore." Eris was definitely the type that could be simple and straight to the point on occasions. After all, he was naturally inclined toward being a logical person - so, anything extra just didn't really make too much sense to him. Wow, talk about rude Eris. The young man blinked for a moment, a brief expression of confusion flickering across his face before Gaia chipped in. She's just teasing you, ignore it.
It wasn't too long until the young man finally caught eye of Iris trying to make herself bleed again, moving forward the young man took her hand abruptly - turning the finger up toward him that Iris had just tried to cut. He didn't say anything, but instead pressed his thumb briefly against it as if attempting to stop any more blood flow that might happen. This happened though after Iris had adjusted her top and it seemed as if though there would be no more blood for the time being. As he moved back, the appearance of a dog surprised him - even much more as Iris jumped back. "It's not your fault." How many more times would he need to say that? It wasn't like it bothered him, but the thought had been entertained in his mind. Another thought entered as well, that made him wonder what had happened in her life that caused her to apologize so much now.

Sandra lightly shook her head as the girl grasped her necklace after she took away her mode of shelter. She should have expected that to happen. Sandra didn’t even notice she had the piece of jewelry on her, but she supposed she didn’t notice considering how vastly different the girl’s swimsuit was from her usual outfits. She briefly scanned what other people were wearing on the beach and really most were dressed the same as Iris was so she didn’t see what the big deal was. In fact, some had managed even more scantily clad and that wasn’t all that surprising. Sandra cringed at the thought of wearing something so tight.
Anyway, conversation about summer school and whatnot. Iris taking an art class and Eris being too good for it, right. Sandra shrugged off her friend’s attempt at encouragement. Not because she didn’t care about receiving her blessing on things, but it was unwarranted for the class itself. “Pft, the credit is basically already a given. The guy takes his questions straight out of the book from what I’ve heard, so I doubt it’ll be that tough.” She watched idly as Iris adjusted her suit until Eris was done talking to himself. It was kind of strange, sure, but she’d be hard-pressed to say that the lot of them didn’t have their own strange perks. His answer was fairly straight forward, to be expected. Rude though? Maybe to most people, Sandra was fairly tolerant of that sort of stuff. To be fair, the way she posed the question to him suggested that he was either too lazy or too stupid to take a challenging math course. Perspectives were a crazy thing. “Oh right, you’re like Iris’s age aren’t you? Yeah, I guess I should’ve figured you don’t really have any required classes anymore.” She needed to start hanging out with people her own age, like… She actually didn’t know anybody of her age.
The girl then questioned about her top. Sandra peered over her shoulder and down at her top with a quizzical look to her countenance. “Yep, they cover your boobs. Good to go” she nodded assuredly. She then returned to her standing position behind Iris, until her body jumped at her leg. The mellowed individual was startled by the sudden twitch and quickly honed in on the action. Only Iris could be so afraid of a tiny unthreatening dog. As the creature was called back, Sandra searched for its owner. “You know, you should keep your pets on a leas-Ah fuck it” she shouted until the person ran off once more. Like the person was going to just spontaneously whip out a leash after she commanded them too anyway.
She returned to her watch of the two below her as Eris seemed to be tending to her friend’s wounds and reassuring her that the incident wasn’t her fault. At least she wasn’t the only one off put by the girl’s constant need for excusing herself. Alright, the boy earned some points for that one, but she was still going to be monitoring him.

( WORDS ) 575 ( TAGGED ) @eris & Sandra ( MUSE ) here It seemed as though she wasn't the only one to be flustered after the towel incident, as she caught a glimpse of Eris's reddening features, though it didn't quite register with the young woman that it was due to her. It was quite hot outside, so being overly warm was a perfectly reasonable explanation for one's flushed features. She then watched both of them as they continued to discuss someone named 'Lemaire's' math class, though her chest clenched slightly as Sandra considered their ages. Sure, she too was able to receive all of her necessary credits, but that only caused her mind to jump to the thought of actually leaving Foresta. With Minnie in the hospital, she had so little to return to back home. Securing a job was hard enough with her social anxiety and abilities, and despite how well she thought she could hide them, it seemed as though discrimination against Gifteds hadn't diminished in her hometown.
After inquiring about if her top was on correctly, Iris felt a deep blush spread throughout her system at Sandra's 'racey' comment. "U-Um," she breathed shakily, trying to calm her racing heart as she focused on the ground for a few moments. She had to give it to her younger companion, she certainly had a more.. Blunt way of approaching situations than Iris ever could. In fact, this was probably only the third time she'd even heard someone use the word 'boobs'. The mere thought of such a word caused her to feel an increasing sense of embarrassment, though this emotion was quickly halted as Eris reached forwards to clasp her hand. He seemed to do it in such a nonchalant manner that it was as if he was constantly having to tend to her self-harming habits, which, in some respects, he was. She emitted a guilty exhale as she watched him, muttering a nearly incoherent apology beneath her breath. More than anything, she hated being a nuisance to someone that had shown her so much kindness and tolerance. It wasn't often that she encountered someone with that amount of patience with her unsavory habits, though Eris and Sandra were living proof that those kinds of people, did, in fact, exist.
Sandra's shortened statement towards the person with the dog was to be expected, though the young woman was still trembling more violently than usual after the experience. It wasn't that she didn't particularly enjoy dogs, but if anything approached her in such an overly-excited and rushed manner, it was a bit overwhelming. Eris's words were logical and understanding as usual, and giving a shaky nod in return, she murmured, "R-Right.. U-Um.. Sorry.." She inwardly chastised herself for her insolence when it came to compulsive apologizing, but she tried to make amends by slowly hauling herself to a stand. Iris wanted to prove that she was capable of making decisions for herself, even if they were second-guessed and doubted most of the time, "M-Maybe we sh-should.. Um.. H-Head into the w-water now, E-Eris? W-We don't have t-to.. U-Unless e-either of you w-wanted to do s-something first," Her eyes drifted towards Sandra on her final words, as if implying that she could suggest that they do something else. Iris wrung her hands together as she stood, crossing her legs over themselves and hunching in her shoulders ever so slightly to appear less noticeable and to try and cover herself as best she could without her towel present. Eris started to move to stand up, nodding at Sandra's question as she did so. "I think I'm a little bit older." He said to the girl in a somewhat idle manner. The small talk wasn't a big deal, but Eris couldn't help but feel like he could be doing better things with his time. Like making out with Iris, right? I swear I won't stop 'til you let me out. Eris shook his head then, too distracted by Leto begging to let her out that the young man managed to miss the whole exchange between Iris and Sandra about whether or not her bikini fit. What an idiot It was when Iris started talking to him, that Eris for just a moment looked a little confused before completely hearing what the girl had to say. "If you want too, we can go get in the water." Don't forget to ask about her friend too, it's polite.
Eris looked thoughtful for a moment before glancing at Sandra, "You're not going to swim?" Eris asked the girl then - unsure as to whether or not he actually wanted her to come swimming with him and Iris in the first place. It wasn't like he was trying to be selfish, but there was something about the onslaught of new emotions that made the young man want to hoard Iris all to himself. Sort of how like a caveman would steal women, but in less brute like manner. After a few seconds hesitation then, Eris let out a light sigh and looked to Sandra once more. "I have someone in my head that wants to talk to you, she's been bothering me about it ever since she's heard you talk. If she annoys you just let me know or throw her at the other puppet over there." Eris motioned toward Poseidon just a few feet away that seemed to be controlling a tiny area of water near the shore.
Bending down then Eris reached into a messenger bag that he had brought him, pulling out a puppet dressed in red and placing it on the sand. Within seconds, the puppet came to life and a grin came to it's face as it turned it's body toward Sandra. "Finally! Man, it's good to be free. Sandra is it? You've got fire in you, I can tell. I like that, let's talk about how stupid Eris is." Leto moved up toward Sandra then - the action actually seeming quite humourous thanks to the fact that the doll was at least the size of a human hand.

After quite a bit of shenanigans, the question was finally posed amongst their group. Was it time to go into the water? Given that one of the beach’s main functions were swimming, it was somewhat surprising that this wasn’t inquired earlier. The other function that Sandra could immediately think of was tanning and frankly none of them looked like the type to sunbath. In fact, the sun may sooner burn them to crisp than provide them with a bronze complexion. The focus then went to the individual without any proper swim attire, Sandra. “Nah, you kids go have your fun” it felt somewhat odd to say such a thing to two teenagers who were older than herself, but she could easily mistake them for being younger because they sure didn’t act adults. Whether it be Iris’s crippling anxiety or Eris’s monotone nature. She had been prepared to be alone for extended periods of time anyway, she wouldn’t have come otherwise. “I hail from the Ruby dorm, why I can’t swim is directly related to that and I’m sure you can figure out what that is really easily.”
Sandra didn’t think much of the boy’s next comment since at first it confused her slightly. There was a voice in his head that wanted to talk with her? Iris definitely knew how to pick out the crazy ones. Shortly afterwards though, he tossed out another puppet like object from his bag. It looked similar to the last one he had, but this one was limp. That was until it gained life. The sight dumbfounded the woman despite the fact she had seen another of his ‘creations’ not too long ago, but there was something about watching it burst to life and have it speak to her that was unsettling. Perhaps it was because of her current state of mind.
She peered down at the miniature doll as it approached her. It spoke about some sort of fire within her, which she just hope was metaphorical and not as literal as the last otherworldly spirit that commented on that. Though, she did smirk at the fact that the little doll held a likewise opinion on Eris. “Finally, someone else who recognizes it” she retorted in a joking manner. Sandra sat herself down on one of the towels and was basically waiting for the other two to leave. She returned a look to the boy. “Will do, commander Insano.” While, her expectations were to be alone, it was nice to have someone else to speak to especially when that ‘person’ was more her speed. “So, let me get this straight, you live inside that guy’s brain?” she questioned the doll while pointing at Eris, more specifically his head.
