Five days since the incident, the pain was still very much present. It was more of a sting now than it was back when he originally got it, but it hurt all the same. Not too awfully, but a small dose of morphine would probably make it go away. For two reasons though he refuted to use the substance; one he was best to avoid drugs if at all possible even for medical purposes, and the second was he acted fairly reckless during the fight and for that reason he should pay the price. Even if his opponent was Serenity, the ex-assassin, he shouldn’t have been throwing attacks at her and hoping they did anything against her. Although, he could pin that one on the fact that he wasn’t expecting her to do anything so ruthless to the point that he ended up with a half ringed canker sore on the inside of his lower lip and a useless left arm. Serenity was an abnormality of a human being to pin down.
The mathematics teacher found himself in the middle of his apartment that night, cut off from his last source of entertainment at home. Sure, he could try to write equations with his right hand, but they’d look more like abstract art than numbers. Even his students were clued in on his injury before he entered the class. How his students always knew about Serenity massacring him he’ll never know. Gossip seems to spread quickly around Foresta, perhaps he should pay that pesky reporter a visit the next time he’s back at school.
Cade paced over to his bed silently, the springs of his mattress greeted him like it had been far too long since they saw each other when he sat himself down. He peered over to the messy side of his room, still remained unclean since his ‘find real parents’ mission. Giant low resolution black and white (it was cheaper) printed map still plastered onto the wall. It had been far too long since he’d had some free time. “Well, I suppose that’s somewhat out dated now. Should probably take that down before I start bringing women in here again” he released a hearty chuckle after his own comment. “God damn it, at least you can live with yourself” he mumbled to himself as he wandered back over to the wall. Systematically he began to pull out the pins he used for markers with his only useful hand and cupped it so that he could pile on a couple at a time.
At least finding his parents was straight forward, in fact it was probably the most straight forward part of his life. No dragons involved, no captivating gangsters, no magical wind fairies, no bugs and no bipolar assassins to break every limb on his body. Just two old people in a house, all he had to do was find them. It was like an equation, just break it down into sections to make it manageable and work your way from there. Why the hell did people have to be so complicated?

Serenity was bored.
The first day of her suspension, it was easy to make herself busy with little things - such as grocery shopping, reading and so on. It was around the third day of her suspension that the woman had started to go to the tavern in the evening and eventually on the fifth day, the woman had spent her whole entire day drinking at the tavern. It was sometime in the evening that one of the bartenders had finally decided to kick her out and told her to go home and get some rest. "Ehh? Well you can fuck off." Serenity hollered at the bartender as she stumbled into the street. Why did it seem like everyone was just ruining her fun nowadays? It was that thought though that quickly trailed to Cade and before you could blink, Serenity turned from a stumbling drunk to a pissed off drunk.
Muttering off a stream of curses the woman had somehow managed to find herself in the apartment area of the village, just a ways off from her own home. "I'll find him." The words seemed to come out more like an angry slur than anything else. Soon enough, ten minutes into arriving at the apartments Serenity was banging on every single door she came too. A few people weren't home, others answered with anger - most though, were just confused. Finally managing to get to the very last door that she hadn't checked yet, Serenity slammed her fists against the door. "Cade Lemaire Lesang, whatever the fuck your name is. You better be in there or I'm gonna cut off your balls the next time I see you." Serenity hollered, her words stretching quite a bit. After her hollering fest, the woman proceeded to lay against the door - tapping her fingers against it then. "Come on darling, just open the god damn door."

Each tack Cade plucked released itself from the wall with relative ease, though as he continued on his simple task a series of rumbles arose from the background. All the multi-coloured pins fled to the floor as the sound of Serenity’s rage filled voice ran through his ears. His first assumption to make about the situation, one of the pins was laced in drugs and yet again he was hallucinating a horrible reality. The problem with that theory, however, the rest of his environment didn’t seem out of the ordinary. Serenity couldn’t have possibly known where he lived, so that was in support of the hallucinogens. She was stubborn enough to learn though. Her tone fluctuated during her hollering at the door and that really wrought out Cade’s curiosity, granted she could easily be trying to use the appeal to trick him into opening the door. He could let it be and hope that she turns away thinking that the apartment wasn’t his, but he also didn’t want to pay for a new door nor did he want to know if she’d keep her end of the wager with cutting his balls off.
As far as what Serenity wanted out of him, Cade could only assume. His genitals on a mantle came into mind, but above all else she probably wasn’t too thrilled about ten days unpaid. His vision fell onto his braced up arm dangling below his chest then to his functional one. “Ah shit, she’s come for the other one” he whispered in a defeated tone as he shook his head. Fear probably wasn’t the right word to describe it, hysteria to the point where he was chuckling at the very thought of his soon to be demise was more like it. What could he possibly do to slow down a raging Serenity? The very thought of those two words together seemed like an oxymoron, but to Cade they were nearly synonyms.
His head spun around the room in a frantic panic. Whether he answered the door or not, the woman was getting in. There had to be something to either buy him some time or allow him to escape. Out the window? He was certain that the injuries of the outcome would be far worse because as soon as Serenity spotted him smeared on the sidewalk he would be in world of horrid pain. He had a knife, somewhere. If his room was much tidier he’d have an easier time finding it, but he’d be disarmed in no time. He hardly had any time to set up some sort of trap, she was already there.
Not wanting to pay for a new door or deal with the renovations that came with the savage beating it would soon receive, Cade crept toward the entrance cautiously and unlocked it. The shifting sound of metal should be enough for the bipolar assassin to hear and get the hint. He wasn’t going to open the door himself out of slight paranoia for his southern organs. He took a quick stride backwards afterward. Pain was probably in the near future, but he was going to accept that much quicker than work.

With the click of Cade's door being unlocked, the woman reaction time was surprisingly quick for being trashed. Pushing on the door with her shoulder and clicking the small button on her cane in the other hand, Serenity practically barreled trough the hallway as she slammed her cane which was now a sword into one of Cade's wall. "You've been hiding from me, haven't you?" Serenity began to slur with what seemed to be a dangerous tone. Stumbling forward without having to lean on Cade's walls much, the woman finally reached out and grabbed a hold of the front of the man's shirt. "All I do is try to shut you up, annnnnnnnnnnnd I'm the onnnneee that gets in trrooouble?" Serenity let out a loud and sharp laugh then proceeded to lean her head on Cade's shoulder just for a moment. "Youuuu're a little shit, ya know that?" Serenity said then - moving her hands to Cade's sides so as to push him against a wall. As she did so with quite a bit of force, the woman in question bounced off of for a moment (keeping her hands digging into his sides though so she had her foundation). "Youuuu teeeaaseee me and geeet me to taaaalk about my paast like it's noo big deaal. Am I supppossedd to like youu or somethinggg?" Serenity knocked her forehead against Cade's then, the force of it being enough to cause both parties to say ow.
After reeling back just a bit though, Serenity let out another deranged sounding laugh - turning right back to Cade once more leaving no distance between the two of them. "Whaaat do you waant from me, Mr. Teeease. 'cuz a normal relaationshiiiiip is completeeeeeeeely out of the queeestion." Serenity's slurs starting to get longer then and her grip on Cade's shirt tightened.

Ah, Cade understood it all now. He showed up at her house intoxicated and now it was his turn to play deal with the drunk. He didn’t exactly like the idea considering that Serenity was the most responsible out of the two of them. He wasn’t entirely sure what that said about himself since she was the one who broke out a fight in the middle of the teacher’s lounge. Well other than he can be a real pain in the ass, but he was well aware of that one. She was quick to remind him of that as well.
His eyes switched vision as he saw the cane go through his wall. Not two seconds in and already she created something he had to fix. At least when he visited her house the most he did was spill water on the floor and possibly break a cup, he didn’t quite remember the fate of that glass.
Anyways, the woman’s speech was too fast for him to make a snarky remark to all of them, so he had to pick and choose which ones he could squeeze a reply in between. His brow line raised as she tugged at him and pulled his body closer to hers. She was strangely less violent than he expected her to be. To him anyway, he had no clue what his wall ever did to her. Well, besides deny her entrance. His arm lifted to beside his shoulder as she had some strange fascination with fiddling with his sides and conking him on the head. That one dazed him for a little bit, almost like he caught her drunkness like a flu.
Her final question though, left him a bit of time to wonder his answer considering the length at which she took to express all her words and he got the gist of it long before she finished. “Hrm, question of the millennium isn’t it? Well, I would expect to have any sort of my life to be associated with the adjective of normal. What do I want from you? Mmm, maybe the ability to beat the shit out of me when I do something stupid so that I learn a lesson afterwards and not continue to do it because other people would never go farther than a simple ‘please stop that.’ Maybe I want to see a bit more than the rough and gruff side of Ms. Hikaru? If that’s at all possible?” he just watched Serenity plainly as she continued to tug on his shirt. “You came all this way, you put the effort into finding me even though I’mmmmmm a little shit. Whaaat do you waant from me?”

Halfway through Cade talking, the woman started to make a snoring sound - acting as if she was finally waking up when he slurred back at her what she wanted from him. "Did anyone ever tell ya' you talk too much?" Every word once again, stretched way beyond belief. "I don't know what I want from you, but you've got to be good for something at least." Thanks to the fact that Cade was just a bit taller than Serenity, it wasn't too awkward that she was practically pushing herself into his body with her hands slowly but surely creeping up his back.
With her faced buried in his chest now, Serenity's words started to come out more like mumbles than anything else. The words Cade and me could be heard, but about everything else she said was almost impossible to hear thanks to the fact she was speaking into the man's shirt. Suddenly, jerking herself away from his chest - Serenity brought one of her hands up to the back of Cade's neck so as to pull him down to her height. "I beeeet you think it's hot I caaan beat the shiiit out of youuu." Serenity started to rant angrily now, the expression on her face making it all too obvious what she was thinking. "You'reeee probably some masoooochist or somethin' like that, huh?"

He laughed and nodded his head along with every one of Serenity’s words. He closed his eyes at her remark about talking too much. “Oh, just every woman ever” he whispered to himself. He’d grant the woman bonus points if she was able to pick up on what he had said. He agreed with her statement of him being worth something, it was the most compliment she provided to him outside of ‘sometimes I find you tolerable.’ Even then that wasn’t even the exact quote and he was certain she had something foul to say before or after those words. He couldn’t remember all too well since he was tripping like a family on a cross country vacation.
Cade just followed the flow of things since she seemed like she was having a rough time. She was at his house and complimenting him, there was no other explanation than she was having a rough time. Although, her head could be in a more comfortable location since the weight of it was transferring to his cast located near his abdomen. Everything seemed so calm and soothing up to the point where she transformed into what he had originally expected to bust through his door. The jerk of his collar caught him off guard in such an incredible manner. It was like he was on the highest point of a rollercoaster and unsuspectingly dropped.
“Well, with my history of substance abuse, it wouldn’t be completely out of the question” he joked as he shrugged his shoulders. “And if I was, what would that change?” As he quickly thought of the next couple possibilities that might arise due to her interpreting that as correct he quickly went for the save. “Wait, wait! I’d like to keep my working arm, let’s uh, let’s not go there…”

Leaning her forehead against Cade's while still somehow managing to stay on her feet, getting drunk and walking around was always an accomplishment for Serenity. Instead of feeling dizzy, sounds just came at slower or faster rates than they were supposed too. "You're a straaange maaan." Serenity managed out then, her tone sounding a bit quieter than before. "Weeeelll theeen, let's geeet this tensioooon outta the aiir then." Serenity moved both her arms to Cade's upper arms then, pulling them forward so as to wrap his arms around her.
"I've got aaaaallll theee timmmeee in theee wooorld, so why dontcha' kiss me like you meeaan it this timee." Serenity moved her head up toward Cade this time, offering up a surprisingly genuine smile - much different then from her typical 'Your pain is my happiness' smile.

Cade cringed as an irksome horrid pain radiated off his delicately encased arm as the woman carelessly forced it out of its comfortable position. Given the design of the brace he was provided and the fact that it wasn’t supposed to move in the way Serenity made it, it was unpleasant to say the least. He rejected his tears of pain as she closed the gap between their faces to avoid ruining the moment, but it was still too painful for him to just shrug off. As it settled on her back it was somewhat less painful, but it was like trying to compare slow poisons to faster acting ones. Considering that she was drunk, it was questionable if her actions were on purpose because if she was sober they very well would have been. “And you’re a sadist, I don’t get your point” he said smoothly like he was saying sweet nothings despite the content of his words.
“I guess that means I have your permission this time” he returned her smile as though she was looking into a mirror. Speaking of which, he really hoped that she wasn’t trying to lure him into a trap where she’d make it seem he was kissing himself. His face on her body was already potent nightmare fuel. With that now imprinted into his subconscious, he closed the final distance between them and did as she had commanded him to. Not that he needed her go ahead to perform the action anyway. He briefly wondered how different his mouth might feel to her this time around with the scarred section of his lip being present. If she didn’t like it then it was her own fault. Lips locked once more, he hoped this one didn’t foreshadow another brutal beating.

Their lips connected and Serenity was lost in her own mind for the few seconds that it lasted, surprisingly enough she broke it off as soon as it started and instead started to move away from the man. "Now, show me your bed. I'm going to sleep." For being completely inebriated, the woman was surprisingly demanding and even better at holding her liquor. Even if she was just about as trashed as she could be, there was probably no way in hell the woman would pass out or throw up (it just wasn't her character at all). The kiss in question before, probably seemed more like a peck than anything else - but Serenity was already grabbing Cade's injured arm and pulling it so that they would move deeper into his apartment.
"Hunting you down was hard," She said the words in an airy manner as her slurring transitioned slowly from loud too significantly quiet. For just a split second, her skin color changed to a dark tan and the woman let out a laugh as it happened. "Oh, oops." She was practically acting like her hand had just got caught in the cookie jar. "You know, I bet prostitutes would kill for my power." Another bark of laughter yet again, as her tone started to get louder once more.

Cade was slightly disappointed that their lips separated far faster than their first interlocking session. Unless their incident in the weight room counted as their first kiss, which Cade refused to accept it as that since it hardly had the sentimental impact that their true one did. Even then though their lips were intertwined for much longer. He take the briefness over another broken nose however. “Well, you put a lot of effort into coming all this way. I suppose you are deserving of a trip into my bed” he answered before his voice crackled from the pain of her abusing his wounded arm. The pain was not nearly as bad as he made it out to seem since most of his forearm was numb to it by now, but he was feeling all the pain he was expecting to just by watching the way she gripped against him.
Serenity’s venture into the deeper ends of Cade’s apartment would prove to be a very short one. The man’s place wasn’t just a one room apartment, but if it wasn’t for his small kitchen and tinier bathroom it would be. He couldn’t even remember if he had a closet or not, the door to it may have still been behind the map he had plastered to the wall, but either way he never used the space anyway. It was fairly unimpressive especially when its tidiness was taken into account, but he only started working full time recently so it was to be expected.
“I’m certain that any person with nefarious intentions would adore your powers. Though I do see your point, a new fresh face every night isn’t an easy offer to turn down” he answered with a sly smirk while also trying to hide the wretched pain he was feeling. He winced from being unable to keep his guise and chose to correct Serenity on his bed’s location before she dragged him any further. “It’s just at the back wall you know, no need to prance around the place” he replied as he nodded his head to his single shanty mattress.

Serenity chewed on her tongue for just a moment as the woman was attempting to get a feel of the apartment but failing completely. It seemed as though that she would have to feel around for this back wall, shaking her head the woman moved in for a quick pinch at Cade's side. "Hey, I heard that smile. You ain't getting any face but mine, you slut." Serenity moved away from Cade then, putting her hand on the closest wall that she could find.
It was surprisingly interesting to watch, considering the blind woman had a pretty excellent way of carrying herself. In this instance though, she could easily be seen as any other normal sort of blind person. Finally after at least five or ten minutes the woman finally managed to find Cade's bed, promptly plopping down on the mattress and pushing her back up against the wall. Even inebriated there was still some sleeping habits the the woman clung onto. It didn't take long then once she was laying down for the woman to pass out with occasional light breathing noises.

From Serenity’s mouth did he only ever hear the phrase ‘I heard that smile.’ Just thinking about the mere concept baffled him that anyone could make an audible distinction of not only his mouth movements, but the precise way that it moved. Didn’t surprise him though, she sometimes seemed better at picking out things in an environment than he was. Her attention toward him was short lived though, she crawled around walls until she found the bed. He’d make note that he could have easily guide her to what she was looking for, but he knew she wouldn’t let him anyway out of pride.
Serenity was out like a light as soon as she made contact with his mattress. This didn’t surprise Cade in the slightest; he’d been around enough drunks to know rapid mood swings and random phases in energy were a common occurrence. He approached the bedside not a couple seconds afterward and began to run his eyes along her body. She definitely wasn’t conscious. A couple thoughts sprung into his head about the situation. “You fucking do that and I’ll start losing respect for you” he mumbled to himself.
The next problem arose though, she had the only bed. It wouldn’t be that bad if he had another surface to sleep on, but as far as he knew there wasn’t another comfortable place in the entire apartment to sleep on. Maybe the table, but he wasn’t sleep on that. Cloning another bed was out of the question entirely. He began to investigate the empty space around the woman to piece in his brain if he’d fit. He wasn’t going to overthink it more than he should, so he just cuddled up next to Serenity and began to doze off. He didn’t close the door did he?
(Cut to clock with its arms speeding until it stopped at some point in the morning)
Cade was still fast asleep with half his body mangled over the woman, most notably one of his legs being intertwined with her own.

Serenity awoke with a sharp intake of air. Someones arms were around her and she had no idea where she was. With sudden movement, Serenity somehow managed to turn the stranger on his back and put her hand hard against his throat. It took a few minutes though for Serenity to find out the man in question that was under her was none other than Cade. After that, the woman enough to slump her shoulders and release her grip on Cade's throat. "Why am I in your bed?" Serenity asked Cade then, with a hoarse voice and flared nostrils. Since she had gotten up so fast, Serenity was now straddling Cade with her hand still extremely close to Cade's next.
"And give me a reason as to why I shouldn't murder you right here." Surprisingly enough, the woman couldn't remember most of last night or the fact that she had tried to hunt down the math teacher in the first place. Her own feelings for him were still out of grasp for her to even manage to tell him any sort of truth.

All things considered, Cade was having a pleasant sleep. Delightful dreams that he’d remember the next morning and that was a rare occurrence for him. Too bad he was greeted with a rude awakening from Serenity, which in all honesty he should have expected when deciding to sleep next to her. He gasped for air as soon as the woman quit her attempts to obliterate his windpipes again. She really did have a fascination with his throat didn’t she? It seemed to be her go to area whenever she attacked him. For future reference he should put some money toward a neck brace or neck guard. Although she’d probably just break the thing off in a matter of seconds anyway.
“Good morning to you too” he answered in an off tone of voice. He supposed that Serenity would make for a good alarm clock, good thing he didn’t have to invest any money into one of those. Her questions quickly gave Cade the suspicions that she didn’t remember anything of the night previous. Oh what fun he could have with this premise. He wished he could replay this moment in his life multiple times because he had so many ideas rush to his head the moment she asked what she was doing in his bed. The truth was so boring.
“You mean you don’t remember? How disappointing I thought I preformed pretty damn well too. Okay, you busted into my apartment drunk off your ass and with the raging sex drive of a god damn rabbit. I refuted you saying that you’d regret it, but as you should know you don’t ever take no for an answer. I could go into detail about what transpired after that, but I’ll just leave it at you sounded like you had fun” he spoke legitimately as he shrugged. “To come to my defence, it was all you. I had no choice in the matter.”
