Today hadn't been one of Iris' better days. Although she'd regained her composure after the surprising night with Eris in the Dining Hall, she'd felt anxiety attacks wrack her a bit more frequently, and this resulted in her being unable to dwell upon it for too long. She had no idea what Eris himself had reacted to it, but obviously, she'd been too unstable and tentative to approach him in his ill state. Hopefully the valentine she'd sent him would be enough to soothe his worries without her, for Iris had made it a conscious effort to avoid him as to prolong the day when they'd have to settle everything out. Even if she spotted him heading down the same hallway she was, she'd dart into the nearest teacher's classroom or simply choose another corridor to travel down, no matter how long it'd take her to reach her next class. A kiss could really have devastating effects on those plagued with social anxiety.
With only one of her fingers adorned with a dark brown streak as a result of pricking herself earlier in the day, Iris considered this a miniature victory in itself, seeing that she had preserved the rest of her hand. Although she wasn't quite sure how long that would last, for now, it was a small goal accomplished. The girl had chosen to frequent the aquarium due to its calming atmosphere, and the fact that rarely anyone seemed to visit it. It held some unsavory memories of encountering the feline-like Constantine and Iris staining some glass with her blood, but other than that brought a serene sensation to wash over her. The relaxing scene of fish gliding through the water intrigued her and momentarily permitted her to forget all of her concerns. Her emerald-hued eyes scanned each fish with increasing interest, stepping closer to the glass to thoroughly examine their varying shapes and sizes. It was beautiful to her, the way that although she couldn't view their colors, given that their personalities were borderline nonexistent in her mind, the way that they soared through water akin to birds flying through the air was stunning.
Iris continued to stroll through the spacious room, noting how each fish sifted through the tank and releasing a blithe giggle as some of them approached the glass, making expressions that were certainly comical to her. Frowning for a moment, she lifted up her hand, cupping her palm slightly to conjure a minuscule sphere of pale blue energy, attracting a few of the aquatic creatures closer to her as a result. For now, she was completely absorbed and entertained by such simple reactions from the animals, slowly moving her hand from side to side to watch the fish mirror her movements.

Eris had forgotten everything that had happened between him and Iris while he was sick, what made it even worse too was that none of the souls had the heart to tell him what he had done. Actually, Leto was about to tell him when both Gaia and Athena would always cut her off mid sentence. The conversations were typically comical, except for the fact that Poseidon was actually feeling annoyed with the girls for once. With this being the case, Eris had decided to have Poseidon in his doll for the day. The other dolls he did have on his person, in his messenger bag as per usual - Poseidon though sat on his shoulder as the young man made his way toward the aquarium. I don't see why -
Why what? I don't believe you have anything important to say right now. Leto made a pouty nose, which in turn made Erebus sound just a bit amused by the whole thing. Eris was more than deaf to the conversations in his head today though, focusing on just talking with Poseidon. "What are you wanting to work on today?" the young man asked the puppet on his shoulder. "Basic things, nothing too intense - I would like for your mental strength to improve." Poseidon explained softly. Walking into the aquarium finally, Eris opened his mouth to start to respond before he turned to notice another person in the room - realizing that it was Iris. "Iris, what are you doing here?" Eris asked the girl with innocent curiosity, finding himself talking to her in a more familiar manner now.

Out of sheer panic, Iris nearly screamed at the sound of Eris' voice, jolting back and away from him as he approached her. Sure, it was only a couple of steps, but it was substantial to widen the space between them. The girl was speechless for a few moments, quite confused as to why the young man was acting as though nothing had transpired. Her breathing pace rapidly quickened as she attempted to regain her composure, facing the student with a slight flush plastered to her cheeks. She recalled the doll sitting upon his shoulder as Poseidon, one of the souls she'd encountered before, however it didn't quell her worries. Without another moment's hesitation, she gripped her necklace roughly, running its jagged edge along her thumb mercilessly, her eyes lingering uncomfortably towards the ground.
"J-J-Just l-looking at th-the f-fish," she finally managed to reply softly, for the familiar sense of blood streaming in a warm line down her hand unlocked her ability to speak. Iris then wrenched her gaze from the floor to examine Eris a bit more thoroughly, noting his significantly better appearance than before. And, he hadn't sneezed or coughed yet, so that must've meant he was well. When her eyes drifted down his features to his lips, she felt heat rise involuntarily to her cheeks, glancing away from him at once. "A-Are y-you f-feeling b-better?" Iris asked, her expressive, green eyes flickering upwards to meet his every now and then, but it was proving to be a difficult task. Had Eris been tranquil due to the fact that kissing girls was natural to him? The thought disconcerted Iris almost to the point of nausea, and she was sincerely beginning to hope that this wasn't the case. Even now, her body quivered with apprehension as she stood there, hoping that she'd be able to both soothe her unbelievably high stress and figure out why Eris was so calmed after the romantic event.

Eris stepped back in surprise at Iris's reaction, How did I know that would happen? The boy was already confused but decided not to voice his concerns all the way up until Iris started injuring her finger tips once more. Without thinking about the consequences for once (something that went completely out of character with him as a person), Eris reached forward and took Iris's hand from her in hopes that she wouldn't hurt herself anymore. "I thought you weren't going to do that anymore."
The young man then said, only just a hint of concern showing in his voice - otherwise he appeared to have his normal robotic expression as usual. His question of whether or not he was feeling well had the boy equally confused. Had she known that he had gotten sick after their last encounter. "Yeah, how did you know I was sick though?" Eris asked the girl then. It's like watching a drama. Oh, would you quit it. While sitting on his shoulder, Poseidon started to slide down the arm that was holding onto Iris's hand with the intention of moving onto Iris's arm instead.

The moment that Eris grabbed her hand, Iris instinctively took a minuscule step away from him, recalling the bizarre events from the night in the Dining Hall and feeling all the more frightened. "I-I-I'm s-sorry," she whispered, however her nerves were raised to a lethally high level and didn't quite permit the apology to escape her lips without faltering a bit. She felt her body quake fiercely as he held her hand, swallowing anxiously and combing her freed hand through her hair. It wasn't until Poseidon's doll began to sit upon her arm that she was forced to try and steady its trembling so that he could walk across it without difficulty.
His second statement surprised the girl incredibly, causing her to frown in response. "Y-Y-You m-met m-me in th-the D-Dining H-Hall a l-little while a-ago, a-and you w-were v-very ill... Y-You d-don't r-remember?" she inquired quietly, glancing at their joined hands and quickly diverting her gaze to the ground with a light, embarrassed blush of sorts. If it was true that he had no memory of said night, it would create an onslaught of issues, for although Iris would be relieved that he didn't know he'd kissed her, she viewed it as being somewhat dishonest not telling him about it. Even so, trying to explain just what transpired would be very difficult for her, for just thinking about it caused her to be afraid. Absent-mindedly, she began to grope the necklace with her other hand, unable to meet Eris' gaze anymore as her fingers started the process of rubbing against the quartz, her breathing having quickened a bit as well. It was the only method she could think of to try and terminate her tension.

Eris stayed quiet as Iris apologized to him once more, this time he didn't have room to argue with her saying sorry because it actually made sense with what what was happening. As Poseidon was finally on Iris, the young man hesitated as a dull ache in his head started to occur. As this was happening, Poseidon was drawing some water out of the aquarium tank and over to the two. While the water wasn't the most sanitary to use to clean a wound, Poseidon moved his little arms in such a manner that the water he had moved (which was about a small cups worth at most) now was formed like a bubble over Iris's bleeding finger. Well, would you look at that. Our boy is getting better.
I wouldn't say that. Having been unprepared for Poseidon using his power, Eris was now suffering from a major headache. Not so much to the point of feeling ill, but the sort of headache that one would get if they stared at a light bulb for too long. "The dining room?" Eris finally managed to question the girl, unsure as to where the conversation was supposed to be going. "I'm pretty sure I stayed in my room the whole time while I was sick." The young man then said to the girl, Someone is keeping a secret. "What secret?" Eris then asked out-loud
Poseidon looked up at Iris then, moving his gaze from the girl to Eris. "I don't think you want to know." Poseidon then said to the boy causing Eris to frown deeply. "What is everyone going on about, Poseidon?" Eris asked. It was then that there was a flash of light from the ring on his finger that traveled into his messenger bag. The sudden burst of energy caused Eris to fall flat on his butt and in turn a green doll started to emerge from the bag that he had been holding on his person. After a bit of struggle Gaia finally managed to get into the open, "Don't do it, Poseidon. Let the girl tell him."

Having never witnessed Eris use his powers except for the first time they encountered in the cafeteria, she found Poseidon's usage of powers shocking as they enclosed around her fingertip. Iris blinked a few times, trying to absorb the situation at hand before murmuring hastily, "O-Oh, um.. I-I'm sorry, thank y-you.." After admiring the perfectly shaped bubble for a few moments, her attention was diverted back to Eris, for although he often didn't express emotions, he seemed disconcerted to say the least. A light frown weighed down her features as her brows furrowed, examining him a bit closer out of concern. At his next statement about remaining stationary in his room, she shook her head both tentatively and politely, "U-Um.. I-I think y-you m-may be m-m-mistaken.." She knew that she hadn't imagined that night, it was too horrifyingly lucid within her mind to be a simple.. Dream. More like a nightmare in that sense, but the girl felt rude labeling it as such within her mind.
His inquiry about a secret further proved her theory, most likely picking up on hints from the souls-- Wait.. The souls saw all of that? she thought apprehensively, her cheeks attaining another blush of embarrassment. And yet.. They must not have told him. To be truthful, the girl wasn't very keen on revealing it to Eris herself, but morally, it was the right thing to do. Her focus was grasped by Poseidon as he spoke, and although she somewhat agreed with what he said, she felt that the young man deserved a right to know, especially after having been confronted with this onslaught of information and unable to comprehend it. The moment the burst of light erupted from the ring, the girl jolted backwards in surprise, only to watch Eris fall unceremoniously onto the ground. "O-Oh my, a-are you o-okay?" Iris asked as worry weaved its way through her stutters, crouching down before him with an equally distressed expression. Once one of the other dolls emerged, a green one with a kind, soothing voice, similar to Athena's, the girl nodded reluctantly. Well, it seemed that she was asking her to explain, so what choice did Iris have? "A-Although y-you may not r-remember, E-Eris, a-about f-four days ago y-you came u-up to me when I-I was i-in th-the Dining H-Hall o-one night," she began shakily, anxiously combing her fingers through her hair, "U-Um.. A-And you said a-and d-did some th-things I'm s-sure y-you w-wouldn't have w-wanted to do i-if y-you were th-thinking w-with a healthy m-mind.. E-Especially since y-you said y-you w-weren't familiar w-with.. W-With romance.." Steadily, the girl grew all the more uncomfortable, staring determinedly at the ground as a blush rose upon her countenance, dodging the larger portion of the issue at hand, "S-So.. U-Um... I-It was v-very unlike y-you.. A-And I th-think it was m-mainly the s-sickness t-taking you o-over, so.." Unsure of how to continue, Iris placed her freed hand atop her burning cheek, her fingers folded inwards a bit as she did so.

After thanking him it seemed as though Iris's bleeding had slowed enough for the doll to remove the water from her finger. "You're welcome," Poseidon replied to the girl in an easy and relaxed manner. After he had done what he suspected Eris had wanted, the doll made an almost floating like stair way for himself with the water he had used to help slow Iris's bleeding. While the blood still remained in the water that Poseidon was using, the dolls manner of using the stairs he created made it so that he was on the ground soon enough. With the water he had used, Poseidon then moved it over to the trash can - letting the element drop into the bin and cling to the plastic as it dripped down.
While this was happening though, Iris was correcting Eris and the young man was actually looking confused. It wasn't an expression that was completely obvious, but it was still there nonetheless on his features. "I'm fine," he said to her simply as she asked him if he was okay. Poseidon had walked over to Gaia then, the two dolls staying quiet as they watched Iris while she spoke. Through her stuttering, Eris had a hard time with his focus so out of place completely understanding everything that Iris was saying. Moving to stand up once more, the young man brushed himself off before looking at Iris. "Did I do something inappropriate?" it was surprising with how bluntly he asked the question - and the young man himself was little bit shocked at the words that fell out of his mouth. What was it about this girl that had him always feeling like he wasn't himself?

Iris blinked a couple of times in awe as Poseidon fashioned a stairway consisting of purely water, finding it unbelievable that a little doll could conjure such skills from his artificial limbs. However, she reverted her attention to Eris as he rose up, brushing himself off and reassuring her that he was completely unharmed. The girl mirrored his movement within an instant after he stood, clasping her trembling hands together as he asked a rather straightforward question. If she answered yes, it would surely be viewed as rude, but if she fully disregarded it, that would be akin to lying. Conflicted between two choices, Iris glanced about anxiously, her eyes unable to focus in on Eris' fluctuating colors at the moment. His pallet had gained a slight pink to the edges of his body, displaying perhaps a more romantic side to him out of habit, which only resulted in the girl becoming all the more apprehensive. "U-Um.. S-So.. U-Um," she began, her voice quivering so terribly that she couldn't even form a coherent sentence for a good minute. Having to tell Eris what he'd done would prove to be extremely difficult for her to manage, seeing how naive and disconnected from anything remotely intimate she was.
"W-Well.. S-So," she stuttered as her vision began to pulsate with darkness, furrowing her brow a bit in confusion. The world began to spin very gradually, tilting around at a painstakingly slow pace, and all the girl could do was begin to stagger from side to side to keep herself from falling over. Her voice emitted itself in a frightened squeak, cracking all over the place, "Y-Y-Y-You.. Y-You k-k-k-k-i.. K-K-K-i..!" Iris' face was the deepest shade of red it had ever been, although her desire to end this torturous task was growing all the more dire. All she wanted was to be honest with him, which she knew was the right thing to do, but the thought of having to tell him that he'd engaged in such an act with her almost seemed vile. With her knees beginning to bend involuntarily and her feet constantly stumbling down and repositioning themselves to support her wobbling body, she spoke in a somewhat strained voice, "K-K-K-K-K-Ki-issed--" The girl never finished her fragmented statement as she felt her eyes roll into the back of her head, her eyes fluttering shut as the world was submerged in blackness around her. Her body began to fall like a dead weight to the side, finally giving into its inability to remain standing.
