Clicking her heels against the fine tile floor as students walked by, Estelle was growing more and more frustrated by the moment. She was introducing an ample opportunity for her fellow students to become more involved with the ongoing of their school and everyone wanted nothing to do with her. Standing near the door that connected the entrance hall to the court yard, the middle of the day promised her much activity during a normal school day and yet as she hollered announced herself over and over again to the students passing by it felt as if she was doing something wrong.
"How could anyone not be interested in this social media?" Estelle bit out in a irritable tone to herself - folding her arms across her chest in a manner that made her seem just a bit older than she actually was.
It didn't help either that the girl was avoiding doing the school work assigned to her within the first few days of her attending class. If the teachers were aware of her past or at least she assumed they were, why did they want her to spend almost every waking minute working on something she was the least bit interested in? Instead the lives of the people around here were much more interesting.
Rolling her eyes as a student grabbed one of the flyers and crumbled it up in his hands, Estelle resisted the urge to spit at him. It wasn't worth it to her to get mad at people getting irritated with her, it was a common theme with how people treated her - why should she be surprised anyhow? "Join the Newspaper club today! Write about topics of interest to this school!" Estelle hollered once more as students continued to walked back and forth in front of her.

Sandra wasn’t in the best of moods to pay attention during her classes. Sure, most of the time she spent in class was always dedicated to daydreaming and the like, but her thoughts were in less of a bright and happy place. It should go without saying, she didn’t really like having her mind delve into dark places. It was difficult not to though, she was living her life without knowing how to work her powers for a good while and sure it wasn’t glorious, but it was something she would much rather grip onto than how things were going currently.
Anyway, her next class wasn’t for a while, so she made no haste getting through the hall. She wondered if she should even attend class at all until something else had caught her attention. It was the ‘in-your-face’ reporter girl from the prom. She did want to pursue the idea of joining the newspaper club. The only thing that hesitated the girl was what the head of the club was interested in, which seemed to be gossip. Sandra hated tabloid journalism with a passion, she could think of plenty of reasons to hate TMZ just off the top of her head, but there was a chance she could be in charge of writing something she actually cared about. As much as she liked her review blog, barely anyone read her stuff. With the school newspaper however, her opinions would be on official paper that someone was going to read. She wasn’t sure how many people were going to read the school newspaper, but any exposure was better than none.
Sandra changed her pace and redirected her path toward the girl. She wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to recognise her given that her attire was vastly different from a fancy ball gown. Oversized hoodie and jeans, polar opposite of well put together. Though, her glasses might be a dead giveaway, she looked a little different without her glasses so maybe she should have worn contacts that night.
She grabbed a flyer. “I get full say on my columns, right?”

Hollering at the top of her lungs at more students passing by, Stella's eyes snapped over to Sandra as she noticed the girl walking toward her. Clicking her tongue at the appearance of the girl, as one of the flyers was grabbed from her hands Stella gave the girl quite a look before responding. "Depends on what you want to talk about. I'm the only one in the club right now, so I get to talk about whatever I want. Of course a newspaper needs a spectacular difference in opinions, that's what makes it compelling to read." Stella pursed her lips at Sandra for a moment after she finished talking, the rag doll attire made her almost feel like the girl was a hobo from one of those Crime Scene Investigation shows she liked too watch.
It was clear as she stared the girl down though, that Stella was taking full advantage of the fact that she had a few inches of height on the girl. "I need people who are willing to go to any lengths to get the information needed for this newspaper." Stella gripped her fist as she said this - her expression changing from that of judgement to excitement with fire in her eyes. Sandra had been the first person to approach her all day and Stella knew that she was going to need some members sooner or later. Looking over Sandra once more, Stella's expression changed once again back to a look of judgement. "As long as you don't do any pieces about fashion you and I will be able to get along swimmingly." With those words, Stella twisted her face once more into a business-like smile. Very similar to the type of smile that someone would give another person before they were going to scam them.

Sandra’s eyes rolled for a brief second as the girl gave her a sort of pandering answer, she felt it was anyway but that could easily be because of her crabby mood. So as it stood, if she were to join then it would just be her and the newest host of TMZ until someone else came along. She had to think hard on that, but if push came to shove and the girl forced her to do something she didn’t want to she could easily threaten to back out leaving her alone to run the newspaper. Seemed simple enough, maybe she would even grow to like the girl, so far though that didn’t seem to be the case.
The girl was a bit taller than Sandra, which meant she had to angle her neck upwards in order to talk to her, but really that wasn’t an uncommon case for her. There was just something about her stunningly emerald eyes that stopped her from looking away. It definitely made her weakly light blue eyes pale in comparison. “By the looks of it, you need people in general. Look, I’ll be more than willing to fill up a page or two with content, I can write me a good lengthy review. I’m going to limit myself at going through someone’s dirty laundry. If you want to do that, by all means it’s yours” she plainly remarked with a face full of content.
In the moment that the girl insulted the way Sandra dressed, she knew she was a skinny bitch, no questions asked. She wasn’t really insulted by it, frankly she didn’t much care for the way she dressed either but it was comfortable, cheap, and if it burst into flames she wouldn’t mind losing it. Though now she felt compelled to write a section on fashion, either out of spite or a joke, maybe a little bit of both. She snorted and laughed. “Ah, you got nothing to worry about, I don’t give a shit about fashion, or glamor, or pop culture in general” she joked back.

Umbra was having a splendid time stealing different items from many different students. To her, it was second nature to steal objects, and Umbra really couldn't help but taking advantage of this environment. This specific area of the academy connected to a lot of other parts of the school. This meant there was an almost constant flow of students going through here between classes, and most of them had all sorts of goodies! To make this even better, if Umbra somehow got caught by a teacher or something, she could slip right off into the crowd! She didn't think about if those teachers actually had some sort of extra-grabby hand, or a keen ability to track.. "Pah! Who needs to think about that?" Umbra thought foolishly.
Wearing her usual black robe, she slithered through the hallway. Making sure that nobody was watching by glancing left and right, Umbra crouched down. Going at a fast crouch-walking pace, her target seemed to be about 5 feet tall, and had something in his/her pocket. In particular, the right back pocket right at his/her bum. She reached out into the pocket, grabbing the item. Pulling it out, she rolled to the side. Luckily missing another student in her roll, in a blink she turned invisible, leaving the poor recipient of her stealing confused and alone.
Umbra crouched in a spot, waiting for this fellow to leave. When he/she finally did in a short period of time, she appeared for all to see again. Umbra happily lifted up what seemed to be a folded piece of paper, and store at her prize.. A flyer? Really? Folding it open, she examined the contents of this piece of paper. After reading this, Umbra was very interested. A newspaper club, eh? She could be JUST like in those anime shows, where there was that character who sneaks up on people and takes embarrassing photos! The girl then stuffed the flyer into one of her large pockets. Finally, Umbra heard the obnoxious screaming from the lady near the courtyard door about the club she was interested in. Wanting to be mysterious in every single introduction with other students she meets, Umbra disappeared out of sight again. Knowing that she would be exhausted by the end of the day, the young thief wanted to get this introduction over with. Silent, but at the same time quickly, she went over to where the flyers were set down. Ignoring the other girl that appeared to be signing up for the club, her plan went into act. Grabbing about 6 of the papers and preparing to wave them around, she then appeared.
“Hello! My name is Umbra! I am here to join this club! If you make fun of my name, I'll only cry for an hour or so!” Umbra beamed at the two, waving the six papers around. The difference between the two ladies was funny. “Harr, one of them is all like fassioonneestaa while the other is yeaaa I'm comfortable” Being her exact thoughts.

Stella was nodding along as Sandra spoke, seeming to be completely immune to her harsh manner of speaking. Silently hoping that the girl was a better writer than she was a speaker, the young woman was just about to open her mouth to speak when a very quirky girl grabbed some of the flyers out of her hands. "Excellent!" Estelle exclaimed at the mention of another person wanting to join the Newspaper club. Stella was only slightly off-put by the girls unusual behavior though.
"Tell me Umbra, what do you like to write?" She needed diversity, as she had been telling Sandra earlier. If this strange girl could write, then by all means Stella would be willing to put up with anyone just as long as her club was kept going.
She was just about to ask Sandra a question though as she glanced down at her flyers, realizing it would be much easier if she explained to the two girls where they would be meeting. "Alright ladies, if you are truly interested we will be meeting in the Journalism classroom - the teacher was nice enough to let us borrow it three times a week during the evenings." Stella started off explaining, carefully watching both Umbra and Sandra. [ooc; Sorry the post was kind of weak, wanted to get this going though.]

Kaeru yawned widely as she walked down the hall with her usual appearance rustled up from her sleep that just ended an hour ago. She was awake for most of the night; reason being was rigging the dorms with a few harmless pranks, a few of them being quite basic, yet effective in use. Let’s just say the Diamond dorm might have a rodent problem for a while. Kaeru only had at least two hours of sleep before a lousy neighbor woke her up with a huge commotion.
With a sleepy, adorable face, she quickly walked toward the main door so she can take a swim to wake herself up a little. That said, she heard shouting as she turned a corner. Three older girls were talking to each other with one yelling about, one looking all fancy and stuff, and the other shady-looking. Kaeru took out a flyer of the newspaper club from her pocket. She just remembered that she wanted to join a club sooner or later since one: pranks only can get so far, and two: no one seems to notice her very much despite all the things she was guilty falsely accused of.
Now with a newfound vigor, she prepped her leg and leaped toward the group, not thinking to actually aim her landing.

Sandra supposed that was as far as her offer was going to get. It didn’t matter anyway, as long as she was writing what she wanted to and not what the club leader approves of. Then again, exposure and experience was never a bad thing, however, the added stress of deadlines to put out an official document every now and again wasn’t something she needed. She supposed she could go through her archives and just cut and paste until her ‘gift’ dilemma was sorted out. How long that was going to be was uncertain, but assuredly it wasn’t going to be resolved in the near future.
She played around in her thoughts until she was startled by the new girl’s phasing into reality. For some reason Stella showed little reaction to Umbra’s sudden appearance. Maybe it was just that Sandra didn’t get out often, but she was still so unused to people appearing from thin air. After getting a hold of herself, Sandra stepped forward once more. “Ah, don’t worry your name doesn’t have enough range for dumb puns” she joked offhandedly.
Sandra wondered where their workstation would have been if they weren’t provided with a classroom. It probably would’ve been Stella’s dorm and if hers was as big as Sandra’s then that would have been one snug working environment. For some reason the first image to come to her mind was the three of them siting around a generic dorm room littered with paper and typewriters on their laps. A work station of dreams, besides the typewriters of course, Sandra would probably end up smashing hers after throwing out twenty or so pages because she misspelt one word. All that she needed to figure out now was where the Journalism class was. She didn’t even know the subject was being taught. “We bring our own computers then?”
Sandra wasn't paying too much attention to anywhere that wasn't straight ahead of her, so she didn't really notice Kaeru just yet. Given her inability to detect the last girl she should be a bit more attentive of her surroundings.

Umbra honestly did sigh in relief that nobody made puns about her name. Though she is usually pulling off 50 thefts per day, along with the usual prank she pulls on strangers, still Umbra wanted to pull of a good impression on people. So, when the “screaming lady” (Until she got names, she would make them up.) asked her what she liked to write, she may had to exaggerate the truth.. a bit. Sure, the girl liked to write stories about dragons, pockets, and flowers. However, writing non-fiction was like writing essays to her. Boring, boring, boring! This conflicted with the fact that Umbra actually really wanted to get into this club. So..
“I enjoy ALL types of writing, like.. uh.. give me a moment, thinking..” Umbra paused for a quick moment, thinking of what she was going to say. “I like writing fiction, and non-fiction! Good enough?” She shrugged. Now that this problem was out of the way, the only thing that could possibly cause a problem was due to the fact the young thief had no idea where this Journalism classroom was. Umbra had only been here for a short while, and had no idea where anything was. Luckily, she had a map.. somewhere.
Then, Umbra looked up to see a girl younger than her leaping madly towards the group. Judging by the trajectory of the jumping, she decided to side-step just a tiny bit. Suddenly, a funny idea popped up in her head. What if she pushed “Comfy-Lady” into the path of the leaping girl? Comfy-Lady didn't seem to notice the new arrival, so.. In an instant, a plan formulated in her head, and she put it into action. Umbra thought about how the others would think about her after this prank, so the prankster made sure to make it look like an accident. Quickly opening up one of her pockets, and pulling out a convenient tissue, she then pretended to drop it.
“Whoopsie!” Umbra shouted, acting to accidentally plant her foot on the tissue. Bluffing that she slipped, Umbra attempted to nudge Comfy-Lady into the path of the leaping girl while falling. If all went well, they would never know! Mahahahahahah! If it all went terribly, well.. No Newspaper Club for her, plus a possible 4 extra enemies! Maybe this action could somehow make them actually get to the Journalism room faster..

"Yes, bringing computers is fine. I think there are some in the classroom that we are allowed to use." Despite the weird personalities of the group of girls that had found their way toward her, Stella felt excited - almost like a mother hen in charge of her little ducklings. It was possible to almost see the sparkles in her eyes at the excitement of people being just as interested in this club as she was. "Oh, I almost forgot my name is Estelle! You all can call me Stella and typically I'm suppose to give the Headmistress what we have written before I can run it through the printers."
Stella couldn't help but smirk at the use of of 'journalist lingo' or at least what she considered it to be. Just as she was about to say more, the pristine girl noticed another girl flying toward the group. Opening her mouth to warn the girl she had been judging earlier, Estelle started to move in a manner to push Sandra out of the way.

It was far too late for anyone to stop Kaeru’s leap as she started to fall. She adjusted her body to have her head forward and arms stretched out to grab whoever was unfortunate enough to be a landing target. Yet, the group bunched up together with one being unaware of Kaeru’s presence, another slipping into the unaware one, and another getting close, trying to push the both of them out of the direction of Kaeru. No avail however as Kaeru forcefully landed on the group with grasping on to Stella, with the rest of the kinetic energy sending into the rest of the members.

Sandra was hardly in the attentive sort of mood, in fact she could only focus on one thing at a time for the moment. When she was suddenly bombard with pushes and shoves, which she wasn’t even sure if they were purposeful or not, she became a bit spacy about the entire situation. Umbra slipped into her, Stella lunged at her like she was looking to save her life, and finally the frog-like girl entered the scene seemingly from nowhere. It was a chaotic few seconds and for some reason she was at the center of it.
Sandra trembled and attempted to save herself through a quick stumble of her feet. “Whoa now!’ she unleashed as she stabilized her footing. Her hands immediately fled to her glasses to reassure that they were still on her face. “You ever hear of the saying ‘look before you leap’, dude. I’m pretty sure it applies to this” she sounded less angered than a person that had been leapt at should have been, but if she were to yell or complain at every student playing with their powers wrongly then she would have been out of breath way before now.
What the kid’s intentions behind jumping at their group were wasn’t any of Sandra’s business, in fact she could really care less. She already got the approval into the club, as long as she got back to her dorm by the end of the day she didn’t care.
