Hearing that his mother was on campus with several other parents complaining about missing students, Constantine had decided to hide - or at least stay away from what he considered to be some obvious places his mother might attempt to look for him which was mostly near the dorms. He had instead ended up in the Aquarium, the hopes of not being caught seeming quite contradictory with where he was now. Carefully walking into the room, the young man peered around the dimly lit large room - seeing that for the time being there was no one there.
Relaxing a little bit, Constantine turned too the several different fishes swimming around in the water - the feline trait in him quickly becoming entranced by the collection of animals. One particular clown fish caught the young man's attention and as it started to dart around in the water Constantine's eye followed it quickly. As it got closer and closer Constantine snapped his hand forward as if to catch the fish - but instead ended up accidentally slamming his fingers into the thick glass between him and the fish. Making a noise of annoyance, Constantine turned away from the fish tank he had been standing in front of as the clown fish floated still - one could almost guess the fish was staring at Constantine with amusement.

Although there were numerous guardians stomping through the campus to register complaints about lost kids, Iris knew that nobody from the foster home would be terribly concerned except for Minnie, and even she had difficulty travelling at her older age. It wouldn't be worth it unless it had been Iris that had gone missing. Other than her loving caretaker, nobody would truly mourn her, and this didn't irk her as deeply as it should've. There hadn't really been many people who felt that way about her throughout the course of her life, so she didn't know just what she was missing out on.
Iris was adorned in her typical, light-green sweater that hung loosely over her thin frame, hiding her pleasant figure beneath a baggy exterior. Her gazelle-like legs were enclosed in a pair of simple, black leggings, finished off with her old combat boots. Her feet pressed quietly against the floors of the aquarium as she walked forward, her fingers not having endured any slicing during the past few hours. She'd remained secluded in her dorm for a short while, focusing on basic activities rather than anything else. This had lowered her anxiety levels temporarily, but as the excitement surrounding the irritated parents had risen, Iris didn't wish to include herself in the least, so she'd escaped to the aquarium in search of relaxation. And, until the other boy had arrived, she'd been doing just that.
Her eyes shifted from the interesting aquatic animals to the young man now, her breath catching itself in her throat. Why did another person have to be in the vicinity of Iris? With her stress gradually increasing, she felt over the quartz slung loosely around her neck and pricked a single fingertips' flesh, feeling the putrid relief wash over her as the blood streamed down her palm. As he struck the glass with his fingers, Iris released an instinctive squeak of fear and surprise, also resulting her to take a tentative step away from him once he turned around. She combed her fingers restlessly through her dirty blonde locks with her unharmed hand then, quaking violently and groping to find the right words to apologize for disturbing him, yet she was unable to even part her lips.

Constantine was just about to turn back to the fish taunting him, preparing to shift into his cat form and attempt to get it - his attention was suddenly caught instead by the presence of another person in the room. Narrowing his eyebrows at the girl, the young man frowned at the girl. "Did you see that?" he asked her in a gruff tone - putting on the type of air that would go with someone who was expecting to be teased. He couldn't help but recall that last girl that he had interacted with, she had seemed like the type that would make fun of him if she had seen him hitting the glass. Constantine wasn't so sure about the girl standing in front of him though.
Examining the girl for a moment, Constantine's eye momentarily stopped at Iris's hand - noticing some of the blood on her hand. "What's that about? Do you need help?" Constantine nodded in the direction of the girl's injury. For a moment the blood appeared to be a different color to him and Constantine blinked for a moment - his eyelid just a bit slower on the left side of his face thanks to his scar. After focusing for a moment though, the colors straightened out for him and Constantine sighed lightly with relief.

As a rather hardened tone of voice drifted into her eardrums, Iris had categorized the boy with a rough, deep scarlet, only resulting in her being evermore frightened of him. Iris shook her head hastily, her eyes stretched ever so slightly opened in an expression of terror. What was he planning to do to her if she'd said yes? Was it often that students got into fights at Foresta? Her head swam with the vicious thoughts rapidly now, rubbing her fingers against the sharp crystals to inflict further damage upon herself. It was the only way to keep herself sane in frightening moments like these with small releases of the anxiety.
At his second question, Iris turned her head from side to side frantically, unsure of his motives for putting on the impression that he was sincere. Nobody would offer blind help to a stranger that they'd once been angry with, right? She felt her breathing quicken now, pinning herself to the glass of the aquarium once she didn't have anywhere else to retreat to. Simply running away might not be the best idea, depending on how the boy would choose to react. Oddly enough, part of his face was slightly scarred, but that still wasn't the most queer trait about him. He'd shone almost cat-like attributes by the way he swiped at the fish... But, she disregarded such trivial information. At the moment, all she cared about was leaving as soon as possible. Iris placed her bloodied hand upon the glass then, drawing in a quick exhale as she discovered her blunder. She lifted up her hand then, swallowing as her face paled even further once the anxiety grew evermore evident.

Constantine watched the girl injure herself more, wincing in response. "Why are you doing that?" he asked her - feeling a little guilty about being rude to her earlier. It was apparent to Constantine now that the girl was shy, it was easy enough to tell with a younger sister that had a hard time talking to people.
Constantine watched as Iris placed her injured hand against the aquarium glass - frowning at the bloody hand mark she left. "I'm not cleaning that up," he said to her - this time his tone meaning to sound more patient but still coming out mean. Constantine had never been talented at being nice to people, much less females. Most of the time he was just taken advantage of by the more outspoken girls. Rubbing his face Constantine moved to walk out of the aquarium, leaving Iris for a few minutes before coming back with some paper towels and holding them out to the girl. "Clean up your mess." Constantine attempted once more to sound nice, his tone instead coming out quite annoyed.

Iris fully blamed herself for the blatant mistake now, trying to answer his snappy question, "I-I.. U-Um..." Of course, it was impossible for her to create a coherent response under circumstances such as these. Why did she feel the need for that sort of release? Well, she wasn't even certain what the true motive was deep down, and thus really couldn't formulate an answer at all. His next words caused her to nod without a moment of hesitation, turning around and using her baggy sleeve to clean the glass adequately as she could. The blood might be difficult to remove from the sweater, however anything was worth it if she could avoid being either scolded or physically harmed for such a mistake.. If that was a common reprimand at Foresta.
By the way he instructed her, she only assumed that he had an immense quantity of authority, and thus she had to obey him. Once the blood had been wiped off of the glass, Iris turned to face the boy once more, trembling and murmuring nearly inaudible apologies under her breath as she continued to fumble with the white stones near her sternum. A catlike, gray undertone laid underneath the menacing scarlet of the boy, causing for a rather confusing hybrid of traits. She kept her vivid, green eyes fixated upon him, wondering just what he'd say next. Iris wished that she could've retaliated against his rude remarks, like anyone would, yet her fear of him and the odd belief that he was her superior held true.

Giving the girl another annoyed look as she wiped the blood up with her sleeve instead of taking the paper towels he offered, Constantine shook his head and went to through the paper towels away in a trash can that happened to be nearby. As she spoke, Constantine realized that his suspicions were definitely correct now. Strangely enough, the young man felt more comfortable as the girl stuttered - knowing now that she would probably not attempt to take advantage of him. It also suddenly felt a lot easier to deal with this person before him, the familiar personality trait caused his demeanor to soften just a bit. Turning the good side of his face toward Iris to focus on her more, it was natural for Constantine to attempt to bring attention away from the marred left side of his face.
"Tell me your name?" Constantine asked the girl in a strange manner, on one hand he had asked her which suggested her having a choice to answer or not - on the other hand he included the words 'tell me' which had been awkwardly included in the question.

Surprisingly enough, the male didn't lunge forward at her stuttering or falters in her voice. In fact, he didn't even make an attempt, just simply went to throw the paper towels away. She couldn't accept anything from him out of both distrust and trepidation, and thus, she felt more comfortable by tarnishing her own garments. She continued to coil herself against the glass, even if her hands were now folded inwards. At his command, rather than a request, she answered him softly, "I-Iris Frost... S-Sorry.." Iris' mental instability and incredibly low self-esteem seemed to increase its presence now as she murmured her apologies, seeking for some sort of reassurance or approval from the boy. In her perspective, she would be inferior to him, and it was up to her to obey him at all costs.
Even if this was completely irrational, for she'd made assumptions based off of a few statements he'd uttered, Iris was forcibly believing whole-heartedly in it. She felt her knees shaking relentlessly, knocking her thin legs into each other as she kept her eyes glued to the feline-oriented boy. Although there had been a subtle softening of his tone, Iris hadn't realized it, presuming that that he was still at the level of fury as he'd been earlier. It only made sense, didn't it? Unable to wrench her hands from mutilating themselves against the sharp edges of the quartz, the teen could only wait to see what the student would do next.

"I don't know why you are apologizing," Constantine said to the girl with an exasperated sigh. Finding a bench a few feet away from the girl, Constantine went to go sit down briefly scratching his head as he looked back up at Iris. "I'm Constantine Inigo. You remind me a lot of my little sister, Delia." He mentioned her name, wondering if the two had met yet - guaranteed they'd probably get along with each other a lot easier than how he was interacted with Iris now. Still watching Iris, Constantine was briefly distracted as the clown fish from before made an appearance again in the water behind the girl.
Constantine watched the fish with a harsh glare - his one good eye shifting from looking human to appearing like a cat eye. His teeth turned to fangs, but as the clown fish swam away once more in a taunting manner - Constantine growled and his feline features started to transition back to human once more "I don't know why I came here fish are annoying."

Once more, Iris found herself unable to respond to his statement, not wanting to engage in conversation in fear that he might snap at her. Besides, speaking made room for even more errors, which was something she yearned dearly to avoid. Instead, she chose to silently gaze upon him like a forlorn dog awaiting its master's orders. "C-C... C-Const.. C-Constant-tine," she stuttered, trying to spit out the name as best she could. It was quite a mouthful already, and adding this element of Iris' speech issues didn't aid her in the least bit. Nonetheless, she felt the dire need to correctly pronounce it for his sake.
At his beginning of a transformation, the girl instinctively rose her arms above her head and winced, closing her eyes tightly shut and recoiling away from him. However, Constantine's remark concerning the fish caused her to unravel herself, nodding apprehensively and lowering her arms. She'd been almost certain that he was going to attack her that time... Yet, she still was proven to be wrong. However, his annoyance with the fish only seemed to make Iris evermore inclined to please him out of the irrational fear that constantly wracked her mind, resulting in yet another fruitless apology "S-Sorry.." Of course, Iris never could've predicted whether or not he would come here, let alone if fish would bother him, so it was truly impossible, yet she longed to take the blame for it anyways. In her warped mind, this was how to fix any type of issue.

Seeing that the girl was still not growing comfortable with him around, Constantine shook his head and stood up. "I'll leave you alone now," he said to the girl quite simply - making a quick departure in search of another place to hide from his mother until he was sure that she had left the island.
