Avery had made her way quietly down to the student lounge, sketchpad and pencil-pack secured tightly in her hand as she shifted her way through the small crowds of people, simply to get to an empty corner near a window. Avery, thinking that this was a good place to go, lifted herself up onto the windowsill in which she fit quite nicely. She had recently taken a shower and as such her hair was damp and left dangling back against the cold stone behind her, her bare feet pushed straight across from her, pressing on the other wall. She yawned softly to herself, huddling closer into the small alcove, shivering softly, in retrospect she probably should have dressed more for the cold than for the warm. Yoga pants and a slim fitting v-neck tee shirt weren't exactly fall clothing.
Avery smiled to herself, plugging an earbud into her right ear. She pressed the play button on her iPod and got an inquisitive look on her face, obviously a sign that she had not heard the song that had just begun in a long while. She shrugged to herself and looked out any the crowd of students in the area, she could see the cliques, seperating even further than people who were in the same dorm, but going from there into the specifics of geeks, jocks, etcetera. Avery frowned at this particular part of the way things went, but shrugged it off. This would happen anywhere and at all times.
Quite suddenly there was momentary silence from a particular area of the room, followed by snickering and encouraging. A tall, well built boy from the Earth Dorm moved over to her in quite a bit of haste. As he approached her, her eyes momentarily narrowed in just a bit of annoyance and confusion before she recognized what was happening. She rolled her eyes and looked down at her sketch pad, beginning to draw several abstract shapes, and random lines. The boy saw this and then hesitated for just a moment before continuing on.
"Well hey there Darlin... I heard about the little tussle that you got into down at the Market...That was you, right?"
There was no response from Avery besides a discontented grunt, a sound that obviously was meant to mean 'no comment'. But still, the young man pressed on.
"Is it true that you had to be rescued by that one guy? The one who everybody thinks is so dreamy and cool?"
Avery muttered under her breath and gave him the cold shoulder, continuing on with her aimless drawing, berating herself for even coming down to the student lounge. Still, the boy persisted, placing a hand on her wrist and gripping it tightly, jerking her small frame around.
"You'd better start answering me you stupi- Ahngh!"
Avery had jammed her free palm into his chest, a sort of a white sheen of light could be seen around her hand when she hit, and it sent the young man toppling backwards over a chair and a table, sending him flat onto his back. She received a glare from him as he regained his feet before he went fleeing back to his group, muttering darkly to himself.

Things were changing quite drastically within her little unsociable life. Classes had started and Bonnie had managed to meet at least a few others, although that didn't mean that she actually talked. Nevertheless, the shy girl found herself becoming at least a bit motivated and being free of everything on this particular day she had been scoping out the dorms. It was her parents' choice... they wanted her to move out of the house and make more friends, become sociable and less awkward and so she was expecting to find a room soon. This was definitely nerve wracking for the poor teen, but she had to deal with it and she had to admit that the dormitories seemed nice.
Done with her self led tour, Bonnie made her way to the lounge with a notebook and her Ipod in her hands whilst a small backpack laid against her back. She planned on writing (one of her favorite hobbies) after she finished her calculus homework, but as she entered the area she quickly paused to watch the intense scene take place. When she walked in she saw the man flying across a table, her brows lowering in question before she realized who it was who sent the guy walking away in defeat. A slight smile widened her lips as she recognized Avery, the one who she had been partnered with during the one training class. Curiosity gnawed at Bonnie from the inside, her legs hesitant on moving, but soon she would wander over to the familiar face.
"Did he do something to interrupt you?" She asked quietly, standing there near the window sill a bit awkwardly before sighing. "I-I'm sorry if I'm bugging you...." Quickly her cheeks reddened and she shivered subtly, her eyes lowering in slight embarrassment. "But... I'm going to be here for a little while. May I sit with you?" Her question was definitely forced, but Bonnie did like Avery and she wished to make a friend here so becoming more open was the key.

Avery had, in the moments following the event, straightened out any flaws that had come to her hair or clothing. A small crowd of girls from the Emerald dorm had coagulated around the boy whose pride was injured more than anything else, a good number of the girls who had begun to coddle the boy gave Avery as dirty of looks as they could muster, resulting in her flipping the group of people off just as Bonnie approached her. A murmer ran through the group, but so far none had come to confront her directly. Her eyes locked on Bonnie and she smiled brightly at the girl, normally she wasn't quite so open, but might as well make friends in the process of making enemies.
"Well, he was pressing a matter that was absolutely none of his business, and when I wouldn't tell him anything he grabbed my wrist, which led to me giving a gentle little smack to his chest. I'm sure you can understand the dirty looks if you know that."
Avery blinked softly at the girls shyness, but she smiled. Everybody goes through varying stages of being shy now and then, she shook her head, causing her hair to bounce about a bit wildly.
"You're not bothering me at all, go on ahead and take a seat in my window of shame."
Avery rotated herself so that there would be space for both of them, her chocolate brown eyes locking over Bonnie's shoulder at the group of people in the Emerald area, a few people had began to stand up and head in her direction, but something in Avery's eyes stopped them and caused them to turn and head on back to their crowd.
"Scavengers, the lot of them. A lot of Vultures and Hyenas, and I mean that a bit literally. That group is filled with shape shifters left and right."

Eyes lingered upon the group as she entered, her lips pulled into a slightly amused yet very subtle smile. Thus far the scene seemed a bit cliche - like part of a movie. However, her thoughts and growing opinion were quickly set aside as she went to go speak with Avery who quickly cleared up the story on why the group of girls were surrounding the defeated boy. She couldn't help but to laugh quietly, her shy nature not allowing her to be so boastful, but she was obviously intrigued by the event. "I like how he's surrounded by a pack of wolverines." Bonnie murmured, actually trying to crack a joke as she felt comfortable around the other girl since they had met before. Although the group before them made it quite easy to make jokes... they were honestly setting themselves up.
"Thanks," She smiled a little wider as she turned and sat down against the other side of the window sill, her gaze drifting to view the outside world for a moment before turning to glance back to those who seemed to want to come closer but then backed off. Another giggle fell from Bonnie's shy lips as she watched, entertained by the other set of words that fell from her (hopefully) new friend's mouth. "Do you suppose that they like water... considering they're animals?" A suddenly mischievous attitude came upon the auburn haired teen and she shifted slightly so she held her things in one hand and her left had was freed. Lifting her arm so her lime green and grey sweatshirt sleeve was out of the way, Bonnie's fingers began to fiddle and move around slightly, although she hid them with her books.
There, upon a table near the group, was a opened bottle of water and slowly the liquid began to stream out of it in a neatly created line. Once the bottle was emptied the water moved to circle the group of hungry pests before Bonnie jerked her hand, making the water spread out and "explode" all over the pack. Once that occured Bonnie shifted so she stared out the window as if nothing had happened, but she was watching from the corners of her eyes. Perhaps that was a bad idea... and the timid individual felt suddenly guilty, but otherwise just remained silent and waited to see what her work would cause.

The courtyard had proven easy to traverse, but Cecilia still appreciated the effort of a fellow student to open the doors into the Academy for her.
"Hey, you new?" Cecilia imagined the voice to represent an older male by its tone and pitch. She took note of the hard floor beneath her feet as she made her way inside.
"Yes," She responded, reaching her right hand out for a wall to follow. These halls were unexpectedly wide, she had no bearing on how big the building actually was, so it took her a bit of effort to find it. "Would you be so kind as to tell me the way to the dormitory? Emerald."
"Sure, yeah. I'm Emerald, too, actually. I can show you the way. Lucky we saw each other, er... y'know..." The boy continued, making some small talk while aiming to lead the way to the nearest staircase. Cecilia had no patience for it, but realized quickly how patient he was being, even going so far as to slow his own pace to match her's. Still, she refused to let him guide her by the hand or take her luggage. One was her own burden, but the other was necessary. She should definitely learn the way properly. No telling what she could miss if he were to lead her straight down a hallway. Eventually, he handed her to a fellow female Emerald student, one she did not quite catch the name of. Another simple, moronic conversation about pop music and television followed. She could tell already that it was going to be difficult for her to find somebody with similar interests. Then again, she always considered herself an adult when it came to her interests. These were children, and yet most were older than her, which meant that if she were going to make friends she would have to learn some of their interests. It was probably too much to expect them to come to her level.
From her tally, they had traveled to the second floor and through a rather noisy section of the school: the Lounge, though Cecilia was not yet familiar with it. The Emerald Dorm carried a peculiar smell, which Cecilia decided must be what it's like to live with lower-class individuals. It was not nearly as bad as the man that had assaulted her and Serenity nearly a half hour ago, though. She supposed it would be tolerable, and she would adjust. She would have to. Thankfully, her room had already been prepared in advance, allowing Cecilia to merely deposit her luggage in place. She began to feel the room out, its shape and furniture, to get a bearing on its size and layout. Somewhere in that time, her female companion had bailed, leaving Cecilia to herself. Although tired, she was also hungry, and determined to find her way to the dining hall despite having no knowledge of its location. It would all work out, she reasoned, and she had to learn the layout of this school as quickly as possible. At least her own dorm mates had been accomodating, even if the female had been a bit more impatient than the other.
Feeling at the door frame as she passed from the dorm to the lounge, Cecilia found herself unintentionally joining a group of Emerald students. They had piled around the door to their own dorm and seemed to be quite agitated, speaking in such harsh, negative tones towards the center of the lounge. Someone of another dorm had done something to a fellow Emerald, but Cecilia wanted no part of it. She merely recognized the voice of the victim as the student who had helped guide her to the dorm. He seemed nice enough to her, and someone else had humiliated him. No wonder the other Emeralds were upset. Suddenly, without much warning (other than a brief shriek from one of the other girls), water rained down over the heads of the entire group as if someone had exploded a water ballon in the midst of them. Truthfully, the resulting mess wasn't that bad, but all Cecilia felt was the cold wet soak into her hair and blindfold without provocation.

Avery's head began to tilt as Bonnie asked the question, a frown creasing her features. After a few moments she realized what Bonnie was doing, and was having trouble getting the words out quickly enough to tell her to not do it, but alas, it was too late. The screaming group of girls eyes instantly locked on the two of them in the windowsill, a girl, obviously one hundred percent baffled at the audacity of Bonnie and Avery came walking quickly over, screaming insults, hand rearing back so as to throw a slap at Bonnie, as she had made herself rather conspicuous with her shifty eyes and such. It was at this point Avery moved her tiny self between the taller girl and Bonnie, her eyes in the lighting looked more black than brown.
"That's enough dearie. It doesn't need to go any furth-"
Avery was cut off by a ringing slap being drawn across her left cheek, causing her to stumble back a bit in confusion. When she refocused on the situation at hand, her eyes lighted on Cecilia. The girl had taken the brunt of the water bottle explosion, and Avery had remembered seeing her, just as a passerby, and she picked up the fact that she was blind rather quickly. Her thoughts were pulled back to the matter at hand when the hand hit her face again, this time in a closed fist, this was the final straw for Avery. As the fist came flying back towards her face once more, her right hand raised. The fist that had been coming towards her face was suddenly cut off and stopped, as though it had hit a tree, pulling a yelp of pain from the girl who was assaulting Avery. Avery's hand was simply gripped around the girls wrist, the result was another shriek of fear and some shouting from the girl.
"Don't touch me you freak! And never lay a finger on my man again!"
This girl was obviously snobby, but her words didn't stop Avery from leaning in closly, still speaking in her low voice.
"You had better believe that if a man grabs me and begins to call me a stupid bitch, I'm not going to take kindly to it. I reserve the right to smack the hell out of any man who lays a finger on me. I'm sorry about the water, that shouldn't have happened, but understand that this will be the end of this conversation."
It was at this point Avery let go of the girls wrist, sending her scurrying back over to her group. Avery lifted her right hand, gently running her fingers over her, now red, face. A thin cut had formed from a ring on the girls finger, this fact caused Avery to sigh.
"Great."

As soon as she had performed her little stunt she quickly regretted it, her eyes lifting in true guilt and apology even before the stranger came forward. However, when she realized that she was about to be slapped the shy girl flinched, attempting to cower further into the crevice of the window sill as she let out a small whimper. She had caused this... it was her fault and she deserved to be hit... but then nothing happened. The sound of hand on skin made Bonnie yelp at first before she lifted her sapphire gaze to view Avery who was soon holding the aggressor's wrist. A relieved sigh fell from her opened mouth, her heart racing as she shifted to stand shamefully behind Avery. She murmured a quiet sorry toward the girl who she had sprayed water on, waiting for their little scuffle to end before she turned to her friend... who may now hate her.
"I-I shouldn't have done that. It was wrong of me and I-I'm sorry." Her words were fast and mumbling as she spoke, her gaze drifted timidly to the floor. "I didn't know anyone would get hurt, and i-it was my fault that she came over here. I should've taken the punch." Bonnie continued, her arm wrapping around the one that remained at her side as she didn't dare to lift her stare from the ground. "I'm sorry." She finally finished, her brows falling before she finally took the chance and glanced to Avery before spotting the blind girl. Oh... she had gotten her wet too! A helpless victim in her water manipulation. "Excuse me," Polite and still quiet, the auburn haired girl turned to walk over to the blind one.
She paused a few inches from Cecilia before her mouth opened slowly, an apology quickly falling. "I didn't mean to get you wet, miss." Bonnie murmured, her voice just above a whisper. "Those other kids were just being rude and I-I guess something came over me. I didn't mean to harm you." This was probably the most she has ever spoken since she arrived at the academy and Bonnie felt suddenly embarrassed and she dropped her head, her body twitching as her anxiousness increased.

Soaking wet, Cecilia could hardly be bothered to listen to the heated argument. She had tensed up and gone red in the face, more out of frustration than embarrassment, but she suppressed it as quickly as she could. Or at least, the outward expression of her festering rage was suppressed. With a slow, steady exhale, her features seemed to calm. Her body language, however, had a stiffness to it, reigning in her desire to let loose a childish tantrum. Around her, some fellow Emeralds were asking if she would be all right. They had taken a healthy dose of the waterbomb, also, but at least some showed a compassion outside themselves to consult the young girl. It was selective sympathy, based on her blindness, and it bothered her that she would get such attention. In her defense, a couple of the Emeralds faced Bonnie when she approached, poking a harsh finger into her shoulder to push her back when she tried to apologize. "What's with you, huh!?" One of the older students demanded. If it had only been a group of Emeralds, they would have put on a show of machismo, women included, to discourage future actions. Ultimately, it would not have lasted much longer than a 'Don't mess with us.' As it was, however, they were speaking up for one of their own. For a younger, new student with a clear disadvantage. It was an affront to their honor not to make a point. They treated it like their duty to retaliate. Cecilia beat them to the punch. Stepping forward past the two flanking Emerald males to meet Bonnie, her intensity and quiet created a pause. Raised with a talent to control a room, she ended the fight with her presence before it could get wholly out of hand. At least, the Emeralds were respectful enough to let her speak for herself when she made herself known. "Is that how it is? You did not mean to harm me, so I must be just fine with your intentions, hm? Why am I the only one getting an apology? Because I'm blind?" Cecilia's voice seethed with agitation, "Do my friends mean so little that you cannot offer an apology for their inconvenience? Didn't you ever hear of turning the other cheek?" She gave a short pause, her head tilting down as she focused. Bonnie's voice had given a perfect indication for where the girl was standing, "Me either." In an instant, Bonnie's nostrils would seem to fill with the foulest stench possible. It had no scent to it of any distinction, it merely prompted a reflexive reaction. A gag reflex. Hopefully, Cecilia had not overdone it, or she would be the one regretting her choices. But at the moment, she was frustrated and humiliated. She had to show her dormmates that she was not helpless. She could take care of herself. She would stand up for them, too.

Avery frowned quietly, this had gone far further than she would have imagined, yet somehow she couldn't help but think of it as her fault. Had she not toppled the boy, none of this would have happened. However, despite the misgivings of what had happened, she dismissed the thought, though the events had escalated quickly and without control, it was everybody's own choice to react how they would. At this point, she felt no remorse for the blind girl and actually glared at her, she didn't even understand how everything had happened.
"We blame them more than you for one simple reason that you obviously don't understand. After the whole argument started, you walked into the room after everybody, making you the rather blameless victim. I'm not saying that it was right for Bonnie to do as she did, however, I am saying that it's not her fault that this whole ordeal started."
The boy who had spoken before, and had also led Cecilia to the lounge and such, spoke up, an aggressive, angry tone in his voice.
"We really could have avoided all of this if you would have just answered my question in the first place you moron! God, you really are such a stupid bi-."
He was cut off quickly by two things, for one Avery's hands began to glow a light white color once more, and the woman who had aggressed on Avery clapped a hand over his mouth, shaking her head fervently. The first time he was shoved he simply toppled, this time Avery actually looked angry and was trying to make a point.
"...Yes, quite. And why would I have to tell you about anything that happened if it was my personal business, hmm?"
The boy frowned and looked away from Avery and at thw ground, muttering expletives yo himself, the word bitch wouls be heard several times if one payed close enough attention. Avery now looked at Bonnie, as though to see if she was quite alright, because the girl had acted as though she was going to act in revenge for herself.
