The silence of night had its influence over the section of the Foresta building dedicated to classrooms. It seemed as though nobody was lurking around the building, which seemed true since classes were over by this time of the day and nobody had any reason to be there. Though a lone classroom’s window was illuminated by an unnatural light, the room in question being Mr. Lemaire’s trigonometry class.
As Cade flicked the switch for the lights, his view went back into the hallway in search for his companion. Jenna’s interest in wanting to see his classroom seemed odd, though Cade was guessing that the visit to his workplace wasn’t only for a look around. He was still perplexed why she’d choose his class for alone time and not his apartment, perhaps she was into that kind of thing or it was possible she wanted to come to the school for another reason entirely, though unlikely.
“Okay, here we are. My home away from home if you will” he introduced, his tone seeming somewhat lack luster. His classroom looked no different than it usually would, though his board had a parabola sketched upon it with an unfinished quadratic equation written right next to it. It was a very basic problem and it was only unfinished because he had to leave, not because it was too difficult for him to figure out.

Jenna's excitement at seeing Cade's classroom showed quite obviously on her face. As they had walked together to the school though - Jenna briefly wondered if young girls felt this giddy while walking at night with someone they had a crush on. Seeming amused and entertaining by every thing, Jenna looked around the room before bringing her attention back to Cade. "It's been quite awhile since I've been in a classroom," she said to the man with still some strange sense of awe in her voice. "It's always been a wonder to me how your kind goes about it's teaching and learning," Jenna had to catch herself from using the term humans. The sylph supposed that it might make her companion uncomfortable, and she was trying her best to avoid doing that for at least the time being.
Finding a desk nearby, Jenna plopped down onto it - sitting on it a manner that a rebellious teenager would if they didn't feel like sitting in the seat. "How many classes do you usually have to teach during a day?" she asked Cade as her legs dangled from the desk.

Seeing Jenna’s wonderment toward just walking into his classroom gave him a joyous grin, though he wasn’t sure why she was so excited. It wasn’t like he was showing her around a fantastical realm, but then again Cade had a better liking for places outside of walls not so much unnatural structures. He entered the classroom himself shortly after she had, though walked around his desk to get to the mini-fridge he had stored next to it. He didn’t kneel down to it or anything, he just preferred to stay near it.
“I don’t necessarily believe it’s the best method, but I suppose it works alright as it is” he replied to Jenna’s comment about the human schooling system. It was strange to Cade to discuss the difference of species, he never had met another person before who has referred to his entire race as another species. Though the terminology of ‘your kind’ was something he had been used to since rival gangs would usually refer to each other as such in an attempt to separate each other as much as possible. Though the way she was putting was definitely less threatening.
“I’ve yet to have a class, but from what my schedule looks like I have three classes per day, which is the usual I believe.” Cade explained as he opened the door of his fridge with his foot. He then quickly bent down to grab a water bottle out of the fridge and twisted it open. “I’m not too sure how full my class will be though. Math doesn’t seem to be a popular subject among students.”

Jenna listened to Cade as he spoke, admiring the simplicity of the man before her. He wasn't completely overwhelming like Soren seemed to be, and it made the sylph feel relaxed in his presence. Standing up once more, Jenna started to walk around the room - eventually make her way back near the teacher's desk. "Do you find me beautiful, Cade?" Jenna suddenly asked the man - the question seeming completely out of the blue as she blatantly seemed to ignore everything else he had said.
That was until she seemed to change her expression once more and finally respond to what he had sad before about his schedule. "I suppose you won't be able to come to the village anymore as you start teaching then." She said to him with what might have actually seemed like sadness. It was almost as if the woman was fishing for something from him, and it also was like she was playing a game that no one knew about except herself.
"After all, you-"
Suddenly, Jenna's words caught in her mouth as she heard the echo of tapping coming from outside the classroom. Getting an excited yet scared expression on her face all at the same time - Jenna rushed for the light switch of the room and turned it off. The next moment she quickly made her way over to Cade and pulled him down behind the desk with her. With her wings in such a confined place they ended up enveloping both of them.
The tapping stopped for a moment, and Jenna heard the sound of the door open - a small figure leaning into the room with a large cane yet no flash light. Giving Cade an almost overwhelming grin, she put her finger up to her lips so as to make sure he would stay quiet.

Considering what Cade had said earlier, he hadn’t expected being asked such an abrupt question. He set his bottle down and his full attention went toward Jenna with a questioning sort of stare, but he kept a bright smirk nonetheless. He sort of snickered thinking over the question, not because of what she was asking, but by how unsubtle she was about it. He enjoyed it anyway. “Was my flirting that subtle?” he answered jokingly. “I don’t just let anyone into my classroom” he continued making his room sound like a privilege to a higher class.
Hearing the disappointment in Jenna’s voice as she realized how his work would affect his schedule was exactly the sort of thing he wanted to hear. It gave him a reference for her sense of longing, which made his slight smirk transform into a gleaming grin. Before he could inform her that he wouldn’t be always busy, Jenna began to make a series rapid movements, which ended with the both of them being huddled together behind his desk in the dark. He didn’t quite follow everything, but her symbolizing him to be quiet was enough to keep his mouth shut.
It was either really good timing or really bad timing (Cade couldn’t really decide) that the person chose to invade his room. Cade had no clue who it was and didn’t check since he much preferred the view he was provided with. Besides, he was sure that he was safe no matter who it was considering it was his classroom, it wasn’t like he was a student sneaking around stealing the answer book from the teacher. Though he wasn’t sure if he’d get in trouble for bringing around a non-staff member around campus, especially with the current fear about kidnapping.
He observed the woman’s wings surrounding them and then back to her face, making an airy giggle as he did, though tried all he could to keep the sound of the air coming out of him from being any louder than the sound of a feather in free-fall. He raised a brow and slightly nodded to her with a continually growing smile.

The woman that seemed to be peering into the classroom soon departed. Her footsteps barely being heard over the loud tapping of what sounded like a cane.
Jenna waited all the way until she couldn't hear the tapping anymore and let out an exaggerated sigh. "I didn't know if you would get in trouble for bringing me in here," she said to Cade in a quiet manner - seeming to be relaxed in the position the two of them were in. "Plus, I thought it would be fun to hide." She then said to the teacher with a pleasant expression.
Her wings stayed covering the two of them as Jenna briefly adjusted to where she was sitting Indian style - and of course feeling a lot less cramped. Looking back at Cade, Jenna suddenly felt focused for a moment on the man - curious as to hear more about him as a person. "I admire you existence," the young woman suddenly said - the statement seeming very unusual. It was hard for Jenna to not feeling envious of humans every now and then, she felt as if it was so simple - yet way more entertaining.

With the leaving of the snooping person, Cade joined Jenna in her sigh of relief, though his was overshadowed by hers in terms of how loud it was. He didn’t think there was much danger, but it was better for him to express they both had the same concern. His gaze focused on her wings, for some strange reason he felt a high admiration for them, he couldn’t quite pinpoint it to one particular reason. As he focused he listened closely for the woman’s whispers. “Can’t argue with the results” he replied as he shot a sleek smile toward her.
He sat on his legs, now feeling a bit more comfortable in the position he was in and felt as though they weren’t going to be leaving their position any time soon. He didn’t want to anyway.
Jenna said something that he never quite heard from any of his past partners. She admired his existence, it was definitely not the usual flirting he was used to hearing. Then again, he never met an ageless being before, well as far as he knew. “Eh, it ain’t all glamorous, but I guess it also has its good points” he answered in a soothing whisper with a gleaming smirk as he leaned in closer to the woman. His heart felt like it was tingling, it had been a very long time since he had such a legitimate feeling like this one. It was like a breath of fresh air after a field of mustard gas.
Cade’s mind was fully in the moment as he felt the compliment she gave was an indication to venture further. His lips perked quickly as he pushed his toward the woman, his mouth aiming for hers.

The peaceful manner of his voice made Jenna feel a strange sort of relaxation that she hadn't felt before in a long time. The darkness of the room, the silence of the night made Jenna let out a soft sigh. It was during that time that Jenna looked up as she felt that was Cade leaning in toward her. Before she could pull away their lips connected and Jenna felt herself unexpectedly leaning into Cade as they kissed. Her hesitation was obvious though through her movements as she brought her hand up to hold his face, but she instead stopped the action mid way through - instead her wings seeming to nudge him closer to her.
The kiss seemed to calm her nerves in a sense, all the way up until the point where she accidentally started to turn it into more than just simply kissing by adding tongue and a little less space. It was during that time that Jenna had the sudden memory of the kiss exchanged between her and Soren - which caused her to quite abruptly push Cade away. It seemed almost ironic, that she would push him away just in the same manner that she had done to Soren. Quickly standing up, Jenna apologized to Cade, "I'm sorry... this was a bad choice on both of our parts." It was quite obvious though that she felt something from the kiss, from the embarrassing shown obviously on her face in the moon light.
[ooc; I considered having her run away. Friggin' decisions .__. ]

At first when Jenna joined Cade in the kiss he felt as though he played his cards at a very good moment in time. The sensation of another person so close to him was one that had been absent for too long in his life and the feeling of her lips reminded him of that. His relatively constant working mind went blank until the woman had pushed him away. In his confused stupor his stare raised as Jenna did.
Then suddenly he felt as though he probably played his hand far too soon. Given the enormous range of mixed signals he had gotten from Jenna it was really hard for him to blame himself. Cade cringed in a befuddled manner as he picked himself off the ground so that he’d be on a better eye level with the peculiar pixie. His thoughts began to scramble together as he tried to think of a way to fix the situation before the moment was lost. His eyes displayed his concern, though who he was truly concerned for was up for debate.
Comforting her with humour had worked in past conversations, so he felt it would probably be the best to try out once again. “‘Both of our parts’ would be putting words into my mouth. I’ve made bad choices before and I wouldn’t necessarily put that last one in my top one hundred” he replied quickly in defence. “If you just want to take things slow, I’ll slow it down for you” he continued his tone sounding a bit desperate.

Jenna hesitated as Cade spoke, feeling that it would be nice to just go back into his arms. The memory though of Soren caused Jenna to let out a loud sigh and run a hand through her hair. "Cade, I normally don't tell humans this but I feel as if I can say this to you now. I'm a fairy, a sylph to be exact. A fairy of the air." Jenna waited patiently for what she was saying to sink in. "I don't know how many immortal beings that you've had experience with, but typically they do not connect with humans for a reason." The way that the woman spoke almost sounded as if she was dismissing him as easily as she had welcomed him into her life.
"You... you seem so kind. I will hurt you though." At those word Jenna's tone weakened. Her normal exuberance seemed to be drowned by the overwhelming sadness that came from trying to explain who she was.

When Cade looked at Jenna, he didn’t necessarily think fairy. Maybe it was because the image he always had of fairies were that they had more insect-like wings than bird. Though, her telling him she was a fairy wasn’t too much of a shock since she had already admitted to being an immortal being earlier in the day. That spun his head around for a while, but a sylph only made more sense of what she was given her abilities and eternal youth.
His face changed to a more curious countenance, at this point he truly had to think if he really wanted a form of commitment to an ageless being. If he was to have a future with this woman, her life would most likely surpass his own, but he knew Jenna too little to even consider that she would be a part of his future life. As well, since she’s had such a long history, she no doubt had some sort of relationships meaning he would have to try to outperform her past love interests. It was too much for him to process in one sitting, but his decision was to try and keep something going regardless of what the future or past foretold. He didn’t know enough people around the island to start over and his craving for another person was far too much for him to just give up and try again.
A very mute sound of his teeth grinding broke his silence. “If we’re doing the whole truth telling thing right now, then I shall add in my own” he spoke sincerely. “I’ve been beaten and broken many times in my past, I’ve endured it, healed from it slightly. At this point, there isn’t a damn thing you could do that could beat me down even further. When you hit rock bottom, nothing can push you down further. I need a pair of wings to get me back up.”

Jenna smiled weakly at Cade as he spoke, the metaphor he used striking a cord in her heart and her wings stretched out in response. It was admirable to her, hearing him speak - and she couldn't figure out if she envied his humanity or if she actually had feelings for the man. "Everyone has their own wings." Jenna said to him, whether or not he believed her she didn't bother to say anymore about that subject as she slowly made her way toward the door. "I need to clear my head, please don't come to the tavern for a few days." With that, Jenna walked out of the classroom and stopped by the nearest window she saw - opening it up and diving into the air. Flying back would be so much quicker than walking and she needed to feel the wind again.
