Classes were coming up soon, and Constantine was not looking forward to having to study what seemed like useless subjects to him. He was having a hard time recently keeping interest in anything, since the disappearance of his older brother. It wasn't like he cared, but... where could he have gone? The question seemed to echo through his mind as he made his way into the coffee shop - looking quite sleep deprived. Since the temperature had been slowly been dropping as the days went by, Constantine was wearing a long black pea coat that was closed in the front hiding whatever t-shirt he word beneath. To match his coat, Constantine also wore dark blue jeans and black sneakers - looking to be quite the dark figure as he walked up to the counter to order some coffee.
Paying for his drink, Constantine walked over to a table near the windows of the coffee shop so that he could stare at the people walking by. Lucky for him the windows were tinted so the people staring back in from the outside didn't get the chance to see him, but instead were looking at themselves. Sighing heavily, Constantine place his gloved hand on the side of his face where his scar was and stared down at his coffee. For as bad as a relationship he had with his brother, it wasn't like him to completely disappear with out a word. Not to mention, what would Delia think? And why did he even care about any of their feelings in the first place?
Sitting up suddenly, Constantine turned his attention to the people walking outside the shop - thinking that he had saw a flash of red hair. That though quickly disappeared though as he tried to spot the person who belonged to that red hair, but they were no where to be seen. Why did today seem so depressing?

At quite a brisk place Ansleigh came bouncing through the doors, she was clearly enjoying herself that particular day, a smile had plastered itself onto her face. Her right hand reached up to the mass of auburn hair sitting atop her cranium, moving slowly and carefully through it. She yawned softly while waiting in line to order what she wished for at the small establishment. She turned her head side to side, hands now dipping into the pockets of her jeans.
Ansleigh's dark eyes lighted on the rather worried looking man sitting in the corner. Her eyebrows slowly lofted as her head tilted to the left, she seemed a bit distracted by the man when she heard the cashier calling the next person up, who just so happened to be Ansleigh. Ansleigh moved forward to the cashier, she smiled and ordered simple black coffee. Being as it that the order wasn't exactly complicated, it was out within just a few moments.
Ansleigh quietly picked up her coffee and took a sip, tongue licking away any excess residue from her lips. She nodded quietly to herself and, maintaining her slightly bouncy stride, walked over to the man next to the window.
"Excuse me, would you mind if I sat here as well?"

As he was lost in his own thoughts, a voice broke through his mind and Constantine suddenly sat up and looked over at what appeared to be a young red headed looking girl. Constantine stared at the girl for a few minutes, the silence almost seeming comedic in a sense. Constantine had thought the color he had seen earlier was Vivian, sighing lightly the young man couldn't help but think he was being an idiot thinking that she was the only person with red hair. "I have a feeling you would sit with me no matter my opinion," Constantine said to the girl quite bluntly.
As his attention was on her, his back was straighter than it had been before - and it was easier to see the scars on the left side of his face. "Go ahead," he suddenly said to the girl - the annoyance in his voice being slightly overridden by acceptance. He wasn't normally so gruff with girls specifically, but Constantine was having a hard time shaking his strange melancholic mood.

Ansleigh's eyebrows lofted a bit higher than they already were and she blinked slowly at his slightly gruff manner, nonetheless she nodded and quietly pulled a chair out slightly, sliding into the seat. Her dark eyes turned to the window and she joined into his previous act of people-watching. She slowly raised the cup of coffee to her lips, a small amount of the dark liquid once more passed through the entrance to her mouth. Her tongue once more poked out slightly to lift any of the excess liquid off of her lips.
At this point Ansleigh looked over to the man sitting across the table from her, she smiled sweetly at him, her eyebrows lowering to their original positions once more.
"Thank you very much."
After her few words she set her coffee down on the table, her fingers interlaced with each other atop the table and she turned her head to face the window once more. She occasionally tossed a glance back over to the man with her dark brown eyes, she was obviously taking the time to try and figure something out about him, probably something that would be absolutely in vain but it was happening nonetheless.

As the silence drifted on between them, very much in accordance to his power - Constantine looked up curiously at his companion. Most females he had come across within the past few weeks were chatter boxes to him. That wasn't bad though, just because he lacked the conversation skills that most people had. "Are you just going to sit with me, or did you want to talk to me?" he asked the girl. It wasn't that he was trying to come off mean in any sense, it was just that Constantine didn't know any better way of speaking. His glass eye strangely seemed to have focused on her for a moment, but it was only because he was facing her instead of tilting his head toward the window.
Thinking to glance outside once more though, Constantine briefly noticed that it was growing darker and darker outside and the wind seemed to be picking up the more time passed. "Looks like a storm is coming," he suddenly commented idly to his companion - not even thinking about asking the girl what her name was. It was too distracting considering all the possibilities of his brothers disappearance.

Ansleigh blinked slowly, then shrugged, her attention now wholly focused on the man whom was now speaking to her. Her hands now left their clasped position and were set one on top of the other, flat on the table. She smirked slightly at his words, and after a few more moments of silence she decided she should give a response.
"Well, I was planning on possibly speaking to you, but I was going to sit and drink my coffee whether we spoke or not. Sooooo, if you wish to talk, then let's talk!"
The second statement obviously worried her, her teeth clamped down softly on her lower lip. Her head bobbed up and down in a nod, but she clearly didn't enjoy the thought of a storm for some reason or another.
"Indeed it does look like one's coming."

As she spoke, Constantine caught hints of the bubbly type of personality he was used too with some of the girls at the school. Looking down at his own coffee, Constantine noticed that it was almost all gone - he considered getting up to get another cup of coffee, but the young man found his companion and the storm brewing outside much more interesting. "I'm assuming you found me interesting, if you wanted to talk to me." Constantine blatantly stated this - as if it was some kind of fact. Watching the girls reaction to his comment about the storm, Constantine looked momentarily surprised - the left side of his face seeming to screw up the overall effect of the expression. "You don't like storms?" he asked her quite curiously.
As a few minutes passed though, Constantine sighed and thought to himself. If she was wanting to make a friend, he felt like she made a terrible choice - but if his brother remained gone for a long time Constantine knew at some point in time he would have to talk to his sister. "That is one thing we have in common," he suddenly said - in a tone that almost seemed random. "I don't really enjoy getting wet." Constantine didn't elaborate on that though - the statement most likely having made a lot more sense if the girl knew what his power was.

Ansleigh shook her head in a quite spirited way, eyebrows furrowing downwards to make a deep V. She sighed heavily, attention returning to the outside. Her mouth opened to respond, but she took a few moments to gather her thoughts, mouth clamping shut. She frowned to herself before returning to the statement that was about to arise.
"I don't mind getting wet, that's not the thing that I'm worried about. I'm actually terrified of sudden, loud noises. This obviously includes thunder, and in that my problem lies."
Ansleigh's hands surrounded her cup of coffee and she took a sip of the dark liquid. This time, however, her grip on the cup of coffee was tight, as though she was simply looking for something, anything to keep a hold on. Her head turned to face the window, eyes locked on the horizon.

Feeling some weird sort of responsibility for the female in his presence now, Constantine let out a long sigh. "What's your name," he said to her - his tone making it seem more like a statement then a question. As he was looking at her though, his staring could have been easily interpreted as something else - his good eye intent on the color of her hair. Red was a strangely fascinating color to him, mostly because he had so much trouble seeing colors in general - that when he did get to see them the different variations of red stood out to him the most. "Why are you so scared of loud noises?" he then asked her - the question seeming rude and intruding. Once again, it was not meant as such, but it was very easy to interpret it such ways with the young man.
"I don't really see the issue with them, it's just noise." He then said to her as his fingers tapped his empty coffee cup. Constantine still felt tired and it was only slightly annoying to him waiting for the caffeine to kick in along with the fact that he was going to be stuck here for awhile if it started raining. As if almost answering him, to his disdain it started to poor down rain outside - and the people passing by started to pick up their pace as if to avoid the weather as well.

"To your first question, my name is Ansleigh. And to your second, I don't know. I suppose it's because I'm easily startled, it's one hundred percent without a doubt irrational, but I can't help it, sudden loud noises terrify me."
Ansleigh quietly leaned back in the chair, eyes locking on the window. She frowned softly, eyes intent on the amount of water already dripping down the windows. She slowly lifted her coffee to her lips, yet again taking a drink. As she moved to set it down, the first sounding of a far off thunderclap was heard, her knuckles visibly whitened. She shut her eyes, breathing deeply in an attempt to force herself to be less scared, however, her attempt was in vain.
"Uhmm... Wh- What's your name?'

Constantine nodded patiently at her explanation of her fear of loud noises. It didn't make any sense to him, but the young man didn't feel the need to judge too much so he just accepted it. As it started to thunder, the animal part of him felt a little restless with the weather. His emotion though wasn't as obvious on his face as Ansleigh's was. "Constantine," he said to her in a quiet manner as the storm started to get worse. As he glanced to the window he noticed that less and less people were on the street in attempt to get wherever they were going.
"Are you okay?" Constantine suddenly asked the red-headed girl before him. It seemed like an awkward question coming from him, after all he seemed unsure of the question himself. Nonetheless, he leaned forward slightly on the table - putting his elbows up as his overall body language suggested that he was just a bit interested in what was going on. It had took him a few minutes, but Constantine had determined that this girl would be interesting for the time being - at least until the storm passed.
Wondering how many other people were stuck in the coffee shop, Constantine looked around and was surprised to see only one other customer along with them sitting in the corner by themselves. The workers were busy as well, seeming to clean up the area they were in. Where had everyone else gone? Shaking his head he turned his attention back to Ansleigh.

Soaking wet, Zak ducked out of the sheets of rain and into the closest building he had found- the coffee shop. Another nice walk ruined, another good sweater drenched- he felt as though he should have been used to such unfortunates occurring at the worst of times, but, he supposed, the atmosphere he had walked into was fine enough, if not a bit desolate
He walked up to the front counter, looking around curiously as he combed his fingers through his drenched hair. He tapped his fingers on his corduroys as he waited for the barista to take his order, and, after receiving a tall, warm hot chocolate, put his drink down at one of the many empty tables. Before sitting he took off his dripping sweater and scarf, setting them and his messenger bag down on one of the empty chairs, then seating himself.
Pulling his legs and arms inward, Zak shivered as he slowly sipped on his drink, trying to warm himself by rubbing his right arm with his left hand. He wished he'd worn more layers, or worn a long-sleeved shirt under his sweater. Or, perhaps, he wished he had been able to get out of the rain sooner and avoid this whole mess- but nothing could be changed now, he remembered, as it had already happened. So, he sat unsatisfied, drinking his hot cocoa with a rather frustrated look on his face.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Constantine! And uhm... I think that I'll be fine. The only thing that's going to bother me is the thunder, although I've positively no idea how to help myself with that. Thank you very much for asking though."
At this point, Ansleigh looked rather terrified to the loud thunderclaps beginning to sound outside of the coffee shop. She tightly gripped the edge of the table, her shoulders and neck visibly tensed up and tightened. She drew in a deep breath and tightened her teeth down on her bottom lip.
"...But damnit if old habits don't die hard."

Constantine watched Ansleigh with a strange expression, he was unsure how to comfort the girl and felt flat out weird about how much she was panicking. He was willing to try to help her, but didn't know how and so ended up being distracted when someone came in from the storm happening. Constantine felt hesitant about socializing with any more people though, pretty much due to the fact that he felt as if his sister could walk in at any moment - as well the last time he had came in contact with another male he was punched in the jaw for reasons still not quite understandable.
Suddenly, rubbing his jaw as if remembering the incident and thus remembering the pain - Constantine sighed and shook his head. "Tell me about your powers then?" he then asked the girl, thinking that perhaps a difference in conversation would allow her to focus on something else besides the raging storm.
Almost as if on cue, a small figure made its way into the coffee shop clad in a deep blue large poncho. As the small person took the poncho off and shook it off, Delia looked up and around the area until spotting her older brother. "Constantine!" she exclaimed quite excitedly. With her bow and arrows hanging off of her back, Delia quickly made her way over to the young man. The expression on her face slowly changing from happiness, to confusion and then finally to shyness as her brother stared back at her. The presence of another person with him made her withdraw back into her shell.
Nonetheless, Constantine got down off of his chair and leaned down to give his little sister a surprisingly warm hug. "Ansleigh, this is my little sister - Delia." Constantine said to the red-headed girl. Delia smiled weakly at the girl, and as she looked around the shop Delia spotted the two other people in the building - one of them looking like he was from her brother's dorm.

Finally peeling his eyes off his cup of cocoa, his attention grabbed by some sort of commotion, Zak peered over at the small group that was forming- he hadn't realised it, but the sole male of the group was one of the guys in his dorm. What a coincidence.
He sat up a bit and watched them for a moment, thinking carefully about what little he knew about this male. He definitely wasn't someone he talked to often, but at the very least Zak kept something about him in his memory. After thinking for a moment, curiosity was sparked as he recalled the man's brother- he hadn't seen him in a while, had he? No, no he hadn't.
Too curious now to remain silent, he called across the cafe, "Hey, uh... Constantine?" He took a second to recall the name that had been shouted. After deciding he was correct, he nodded. "Don't you have a brother? I haven't seen him in a while, where'd he go?" After realising how nosy he had just sounded, he made a small face and pulled his arms closer to his chest, once again trying to create enough friction to warm up. "Sorry," he added, more quietly, "it was just bothering me." This was most definitely not a lie- Zak had a tendency to notice things, and not seeing someone he noticed practically every day, after he had realised it, bothered him.
