Jeremiah quietly strolled around the area, head swiveling left and right, eyebrows staying constantly raised at the world surrounding him. He sighed softly, hands dropping into his pockets. He stepped on over to a bench, sitting back against it tiredly, his posture remaining unfailingly tall. His eyes closed and his hands left his pockets.
He reached to his right back pocket and pulled out a small pamphlet that read "Sapphire".
"Hmm... I should probably make my way over there..."
His legs straightened and he came up onto his feet, strolling towards the Male Sapphire dorms with very little hurry in his step. He seemed positively content to observe his new surroundings.

A small figure darted through the halls of Foresta, running as fast as a person with fairly short legs could. She only stopped when she threw herself out the out of the school and paused when she was finally in the cold air. Sandra’s skin was so unbelievably hot that it almost a slight red glow to it. There were also heat lines radiating off her body as the coldness in the air tried to cool her down. She was breathing heavily as well since it was a long run from her dorm room all the way to the entrance near the rose garden.
Sandra couldn’t even explained what happened, she was just sitting around in her room when suddenly her body temperature rose so high that she couldn’t even bare it and she could tolerate some fairly high temperatures. A scenario like this had happened before though, only she was craving heat that time, so she couldn’t help but to link them together. It was possible that her body was going through some mood swings.
Her heavy breaths gradually became lighter, but her grasping for air wasn’t over just yet. She had a sweater in one arm which she instinctively threw to the side as she continued to take in the cold night air. After a bit of time she lightly stepped away from the front of the door and paced around the garden continuing her exhausted slouch.

Jeremiah paused his steps, his head lifting and tilting to the sides. His head turned left and right, searching for the source of the gasping breaths. He placed the pamphlet in his pocket. His legs leisurely carried him around right up until he saw the source of the breathing, he blinked and jogged over to the girl.
"Dear lord! Are you alright?"
He leaned back slightly as he noticed the heat radiation and the tint of her skin. He squinted, as though attempting to fix his vision. He had never met another person with any sort of powers before.
"Woah..."

A man approached Sandra, which she hadn’t noticed until he came close enough to surprise her. Her heat exhaustion probably hindered her vision a bit so that could be the reason she didn’t notice him at first. “No, I actually feel pretty terrible right about now” she answered the boy as she shook her shirt in an attempt to give herself some ventilation. “Believe it or not this is not a usual thing that happens to me” she spoke as she removed her glasses because the frame was becoming too hot. She placed them in her pocket as she wiped her eyes with her other hand.
“You should probably keep your distance though, I might explode soon. No joke” she spoke ending her sentence with a more serious tone. She came out to the rose garden expecting no one. She didn’t hate the company of others, but with her current condition she wasn’t feeling the safest around other people. She tried to waddle away from the boy, but the heat was really getting to her and didn’t allow much movement. Sandra had never expected that in her lifetime she had a chance at experiencing a heatstroke. Then again what was to follow would probably not be the outcomes of a heatstroke.

Jeremiah quietly blinked at the entire situation, the whole explosion thing caused him to back up for a moment. His facial expression changed, eyebrows angling downwards in a frown. He took a couple of tentative steps towards the exhausted girl.
"Listen, I realize that this may have happened to you before, but it doesn't change the fact that you need some sort of help, seeing as how there's nobody else around, you may do well to simply allow me to help...now."
He slowly dipped his left hand into his pockets, his right hand lifted and ran through his short hair. His authoritative tone of voice now changed to one that was slightly desperate.
"Please allow me to help you, no matter how small the act may be."

Sandra stared blankly at the blob of a man trying to focus on him somewhat, without her glasses though it was really difficult for her to. It was nice of him to offer to help her, but Sandra was unsure of what he could do to help her. She wasn’t even sure how she could help herself. The best she could do was trying to keep herself cold in order to stop herself from getting any warmer. “Um, okay. I don’t know anything that could help me at the moment. Do you have anything cold on you?” she answered her tone filled with uncertainty.
Sandra could feel her stomach starting to heat up and she knew that meant nothing good. “Oh shit! You really need to back away now!” she announced loudly as she hobbled away from the boy lessening the chance of him being affected by her discharge of heat.
After taking a couple leaps away from the man, a pulse of flames shot out of her torso launching with a radius of 5 or so meters before evaporating into the air. There was a strange flaring sound that followed quickly behind the path of the fire that never happened in her past experiences. The fire moved too quickly for it to catch anything really, a bush or two had a small candle-esque fire starting on it, but nothing too major. Which was good given the area they were in the end result could have been a lot worse. Sandra was still standing fine, though seeming fairly dazed.

As Jeremiah watched the girl get a bit more intense, he knew that nothing good could be coming of it. He backed up a few steps, and as the flare shot away from her body, he twisted his body, covering his face with his arms. His hoodie quickly became singed and charred a bit from the small explosion. He tilted towards the ground a bit, simply decreasing the surface area which could be effected. With the flare ending, he threw off the hoodie, leaving a simple white v-neck and jeans on the man.
"Holy shit..."
As Jeremiah's hoodie lay in a heap on the ground, a small flame still clinging to life on it, he eyed the girl, taking a step towards her, the rubber soles of his shoes sticking to the ground, leaving black marks of sticky material behind. His steps lengthened as he strode quickly towards her.
"...Hey.. Hey! Are you alright?"

Sandra shook her head as she focused back onto reality. She still couldn’t see much, but since she wasn’t wearing her glasses that was to be expected. She could feel that her midriff was exposed, but that always happened after every time she discharged, so that was nothing new really. If she had a dime for every shirt she had ruined she could afford a new wardrobe. At least it never burnt it off entirely. She was a little bit light headed so she wasn’t quick to respond to the boy’s question.
“Dude, you had to deal with the worst of it. I’m not sure why you’re asking me if I’m alright” she replied in a much less serious tone than his own. “If anything I’m better than earlier. My heated glow is gone” she continued while she pulled her large lensed glasses back out. She acted as though the flare was nothing because it really was a common occurrence, in fact it was a bi-weekly sort of thing. The only difference on this occasion was the fact she was overheating for some odd reason.
She slipped her glasses back into place as she investigated her exposed arms. The glow was gone and the intense heat she was feeling had disappeared. She was wishing she had a doctor who could explain what was going on right about now.

Jeremiah chuckled softly, crossing his arms. He stretched his arms above his head, his mouth twisting into a crooked grin. His arms returned to their spot directly over his chest. His head slowly began to cant left to right.
"Come now, the worst thing that happened to me was a burnt hoodie, I've experienced worse with my own powers... it just took me a bit off guard... You're really the only other person I've ever met with... powers and... built in explosions."
He scratched his head softly, head now tilting to the left.
"Sorry, but I never caught your name. I was a bit distracted by heat waves and fire. I'm Jeremiah, and can I take the guess that you're from the Ruby dorm?"

Sandra grew a bit of smile from Jeremiah’s joke. She began to rub her arm to warm herself up since the cold outside air was beginning to get to her, but not too badly just yet. Besides, she felt a bit more comfortable being a little bit cold at the moment. Her face scrunched up a bit when he mentioned she was the first he’s met with an ability. It was a bit surprising, but not the first time she’s heard someone say such a thing. “Oh yeah? Well get ready for a huge culture shock then because just about everybody I know here has a power of some sort, though a majority of them know how to handle their abilities better than I do.”
“I’m Sandra by the way. And I’m sure your charred sweater is evidence enough that your hunch is correct. Sorry about that by the way, I’m somewhat known for being a wrecker of clothing” she spoke as she stared down at her ruined t-shirt. Luckily it was one that she bought at a thrift shop for five dollars. “Mine mostly, but you get the point.”

Jeremiah smiled at the girl standing I'm front of him, his eyes locking on her face. He clasped his hands together, rings clinking together, one on each of his center three fingers. A short chuckle escaped him at her scrunched up features.
"I figure that most everybody I meet here will have a power of some sort. It's the exact reason that I came here! Where I'm from I never met anybody with any sort of supernatural power. In fact, I find all sorts of powers intensely fascinating."
He looked at his charred hoodie on the ground, eyes travelling along the shoe prints that had melted off of his shoes.
"I've absolutely no idea what to do about that... Either way!"
He turned his face back to the girl, smiling.
"What's the most fascinating power you've witnessed yet?"

Sandra could relate to Jeremiah in a way. Her old suburban home was nearly the same when it came to gifted people. There weren’t many, but there were still some so she had some previous experience with them before she came to the school. “Yeah, where I used to live there weren’t many people with powers either.”
She eyed the boy’s sweater as he mentioned what he should do with it. “You could donate it, that’s what I always do. Ruined clothes are better than no clothes at all!” she answered him with a large smirk on her face. When thinking about it, Sandra realized that she’s probably provided many orphans with a closest full of half burnt t-shirts. She was a bit conflicted of whether she should view that as a good or bad gesture toward them. Regardless they had some form of clothing even if it wasn’t the best appearance wise.
Sandra had to really think of what was the most interesting power she’s ever seen. There were plenty that she would give her own power up for, although she was willing to give up her ability altogether. She did have a friend who could teleport objects, but that seemed far too basic. “Hm, well I once met a guy who could morph his limbs into mechanical objects, though I’ve only ever seen him morph his hand into a stapler” she answered kind of nonchalantly since she was still sort of thinking of what to say.

Jeremiah chuckled softly, his mind pondering the idea of children walking around with clothes nearly too burnt to be worn. His eyes locked on his burnt heap once more, his mouth forming into a slightly crooked grin at the very thought.
"You know, I think I might just do that. It's not a half bad idea, and you're very correct, burned is better than none at all."
He turned to face Sandra, his jaw dropping at the mention of that power. He was clearly running the stapler-hand through his mind when he spoke once more.
"That's incredible, I always thought my own power to be so foreign, but I suppose not! I can just imagine the things one could do with a power like that."
In all of his excitement he didn't notice the electrical arks that were forming between the conducting rings he was wearing. He only noticed when he decided to spread his hands a bit, the arks of electricity grew and begin to pop and crack loudly, blue light shining up at his face. He blinked and paused his train of thought, looking down at his hands

Sandra thought he might enjoy her idea of donating his ruined clothing. Technically it wasn’t her idea since her father was the one who came up with it originally because he didn’t like being wasteful. She would still take the credit for it though. “Yeah, and then people see how bad their clothing is and then it will make them want to donate better clothing. Everybody wins.” she joked once more almost giggling over her words.
The light caused by the electricity flowing around Jeremiah’s hands caught Sandra’s eyes for a brief moment before she continued to speak. “Your lightning hands will probably fit in quite well. There are definitely a lot odder abilities I’ve seen. And yeah I’m really sure someone with a power like that would come in real handy when the office runs out staples, he’s got four limbs too so he can staple four things at a time” she continued as she snickered.
She was a bit slow to put together that he was a new student, but she finally realized given what he’s said so far. Well she sort of assumed that, but she just figured out that this was probably the first time he set foot on campus since he said earlier that she was the first gifted person he’s met. She wasn’t proud that it took her so long, but she excused it since she was a little light headed. “You probably have somewhere to go right now, right?”

Jeremiah shrugged softly, crossing his arms over his chest. Quietly he nodded, his face slowly tilting downwards.
"I suppose I should get going. But if I could ask you where Sapphire dorm was? I've only been here a few hours and I'm not quite used to this area yet. Soooo...."
He shuffled his feet a little bit, hands once more creating arcs of electricity, but now with random buttons and metals around the area, a railing, a small coin, a discarded button, several other things.
