The week of the constant heat waves had finally come to a close, which disappointed Sandra. She enjoyed the days that she felt safe enough to wear t-shirts in the outdoors. Unfortunately the time of thin sweaters had returned. Another aspect she enjoyed of the heat wave was that it finally ended her multi-month long cold. However, she’s been feeling less satisfied by hotter atmospheres ever since they ended. She thought it strange and nothing more.
Sandra found herself wandering about the grounds of Foresta since her constant use of energy had blown a fuse in her room. She had to wait quite a long time before it would be repaired. It wasn’t directly her fault; she needed her heat lamps to survive and apparently the ones she used drained a lot of power. Anyway, as she strolled down the grounds she eventually stumbled upon the greenhouse and given that the structure tended to house some exotic plants, there would no doubt be tons of heat stored in the facility.
Sandra burst through the door and sighed in relief the same way a person would when they entered an air conditioned store on a sweltering day. She quickly browsed the rows of plants in the immediate entrance that were also absorbing the same heat she was. She paused at a strange plant that was quite bulbous in appearance and lacked many leaves. The rest of the plants in the vicinity were fully bloomed and the one she was observing appeared to not. Out of curiosity she poked the plant and it opened completely and released a strange pink mist that stunk horribly. She clenched her fist onto her nose and ran straight back out the door coughing as she did in an attempt to remove all traces of the gas from her lungs.
From the outside of the greenhouse the gas could be seen encompassing the entirety of the house of glass, but it was a very transparent pink and seemed to be fairly thin in the air. All Sandra knew about it was that it stunk, it was entirely possible that it had other side effects, but they probably weren’t dangerous if the plant was left in an unattended area. Sandra was right outside the door trying to regain her breath.
