The sun shone brightly during this day, the brightest it’s been the whole summer. The sun cast down immensely on the meadows of Foresta. Sandra knew this already as she was lied down on the field soaking in its precious rays. Sandra was not there to tan; in fact most of her body was covered with clothing so there was no way anywhere but her face or her hands were getting any darker.
Most people wouldn’t dare come out in this sweltering heat wave and especially with what she was wearing; black jeans and a black long shelved shirt sporting the movie poster for Caligula (one of her favorite movies). Sandra felt so relax in the field, her eyes shut and her thickly glasses loosely placed on her forehead. It was not typical for her to stay so still for such a long period of time nor was it that she went outside her room. This day though she felt obligated since heat waves don’t come around as much as she would like and she needed some fresh air to deal with the head cold she’s had for a couple months now. That winter adventure she had a while ago being the sole blame for it.
Anyway, Sandra wasn’t even sure how long she had been out and about for. Perhaps an hour, she was certain that she would have fallen asleep if she had lain there for any longer. She began to feel weak in her stomach and she became curious why shown by her face scrunching oddly. Suddenly, a ring of flames burst out of her mid torso launching a half circle of fire into the sky while some flames shot out her sides catching the grass to her immediate right and left aflame.
Sandra jumped onto her feet in a panic while she cursed “AW shit!” She began to frantically stomp on the ground to try and put the flames out. Her glasses fell off her head since she raised herself too quickly, so they plunked into the grass almost hiding them. She had expected this might happen if she stayed out for too long so she had a bucket of water not too far from her location, but she thought it might be quicker to just stomp out the fire since it was still considerably small.
