While Serenity had approached her mission with a serious attitude, Tem's seemed to be quite a bit more lackadaisical and almost humorous at best (although more than likely a better overall approach to the whole thing). It didn't take Serenity long to pick up on a conversation happening just a few feet away from her over at the bar and there was a notable vein of frustration that appeared on the woman now girls forehead.
With careful consideration for her surroundings, Serenity picked herself up and made her way over to where she suspected Tem was. It was when she heard the name of who she was talking to that Serenity narrowed her brows briefly - nevertheless continuing on in her quest to divert the sand golem somewhere else. Serenity already knew that Cade wasn't the creeper, well at least she was ninety eight percent sure. What was it about him that made her doubt that two percent? Frowning, Serenity brought her hand up to Tem's elbow - a glaring opposite to the girl with long dark skinny jeans and purple shirt with an incredibly deep v-neck.
Reminding herself she was supposed to be a teenager before she spoke, Serenity brought a shocked expression to her face. "Oh my god, Sara what are you doing - I thought we were gonna go somewhere else!" In this form, Serenity also had to keep up some sort of facade that she could see as well - therefore her head was angled in an awkward sort of direction as she spoke.

Tem very clearly underestimated the teacher’s female companion. Originally she expected the woman to flee the second she got the chance to ditch the man, but apparently that was not the case. Perhaps that was Tem projecting her own feelings a bit too much. On the other hand though, it could be just a sense of protecting her own because now that Tem could see her face, she knew the female was a staff member at Foresta. While she couldn’t put a name or position to her at the moment, Tem made a habit of memorizing the faces of every staff member, regardless of how new or old they were.
The security officer could clearly see hesitation on Cade’s face, so had the woman not interfered Tem might have been able to get somewhere, but for the time being she was a roadblock. How she wished she could just merely toss the woman aside and begin the interrogation process right now, but such a tactic would be deemed as ‘uncalled for’ by the humans.
Tem groaned internally, but rolled her eyes externally, her persona seeming rather disinterested by the lecture. It would seem that she would have to regroup her efforts and find a way around the woman in order to catch her suspect red handed. “Whatever. I’m sure you’re sooooooooo much fun at parties” the tempered teen brushed off as she leapt off her seat in revolt.
As she was about to turn and leave though, her partner on the case found her way over to the bar, no doubt prompted by Chathra trying to associate them with one another. Tem would have preferred to ignore the comment so that they could keep their active and inactive target dichotomy, but Serenity’s intrusion put a wrench into that. Not to mention that it limited her hand of options, she still had an escape card to play though, melodrama. “Megan!” she bellowed through her teeth as she turned to the blind woman. “I told you not to follow me” she angrily rasped as she began to storm off to the washroom once more. She had to catch Cade while he was alone, so she had to think of something to get the woman out of the picture.
Whilst Chathra was lecturing the young student, Cade was finishing up his drink so that he could dread the next one that was placed in front of him not too long ago. He was beginning to regret ordering mid-sized glasses of straight rum, especially considering the fact that he was already drinking before this encounter.
He chose to remain silent as the woman tried to talk sense into the girl, mostly considering that he was drunk and would probably say something that would only make the situation worse. His gaze was somewhat fixed on Chathra’s back, mostly because that was all he could make out about the scene. He couldn’t help but to reminisce about Serenity considering that the situation reminded him so much about her. Him stumbling into a problem no doubt caused by his stupidity and Serenity swooping in to save him from dying or losing his job. While the teenager wasn’t something he caused directly, he was more than certain it was indirect. He didn’t really hide his… looseness around his co-workers, so perhaps the… looser students got the idea that it was open season with him. Made as much sense as anything. How did he still have his job?
Cade leaned his elbow on the counter and rested his cheek against his palm, his drunken gaze fully focusing on his drinking partner after she seemed to have steered the teenager off. “You’re so fucking hot” he spoke blissfully, as though he had a world shattering revelation. The slight slur of his words might also suggest what stage of drunkenness he was at. He wondered briefly whether or not he said that out loud and then wondered if that was a bad thing or not if he did.

Her brows dipped into another frown at the teenager’s twice-microwaved, canned comeback. It was not the reaction she expected, but knowing her history with talking to youngsters, what was she expecting? She brought her hand to the side of her swimming head, fingers parting to rub her eye and her temple at the same time. Something was off with the reaction, she just couldn’t pinpoint what exactly. Her focus was succumbing to the alcohol. With a brisk headshake, she realised the tube-topped teen had hopped from her barstool to leave—Chathra moved to follow.
As much as she wanted to continue basting her brain in whisky until a good night’s sleep became achievable, this, just like Peach Fuzz and many situations prior, couldn’t be ignored. There were too many reasons for two teenage girls to be in Crystal’s—she at least had to make sure theirs was a safe one. But before she could open her mouth, the toothpick-limbed teen—Megan—had joined them. Sara and Megan. Without any word from Chathra, they had given their names away already. Was she ever this dumb at their age? She sighed and once again attempted to say something to delay their departure. “Hol—“
Of course, it was Peach Fuzz that made her toss her head to glance behind her—her shoulder blades tensed and untensed as she realised he was talking to her, which was somehow the least fucked option for whom he was talking to. She scoffed through grit teeth, a mixture of amusement at his drunkenness and disgust at the thought of waking up to him. It was tempting when she thought about the apartment she had waiting for her, barren as her plans for the day off she had tomorrow. But that was the loneliness talking, and she didn’t need sobriety to recognise it. “A round of water over here when you're ready,” she muttered to the bartender after motioning him over.
Part of her wanted to walk off with the new round she’d ordered for him and let that do the talking. But, she sighed again, that had a chance of a rough encounter at work or in town again, and that was if he didn’t misinterpret. Not to mention she’d already agreed to get him home safe. “Thanks…” Chathra muttered to the compliment, face stiff in a flat expression as she held back the urge to cringe. “But solid no thanks.”

Serenity's mouth briefly opened as her co-worker stormed off, nonetheless the woman took the hint and was just about to turn the other way as she heard Cade's voice - definitely shooting some sort of compliment in the opposite direction with a notable drunken slur.
Taking a deep breath and closing her lids for just a moment, Serenity knew that she had to ignore it and just walk away. Turning on her heel with her back against Cade - the teacher in disguise took three steps back to where she was about a foot or so away from the math teacher. A brief moment passed and someone walked by giving Serenity her opportunity, pretending to briefly stumble back Serenity held her elbow up and promptly jammed Cade in his side.
"Oh my gosh, so sorry!" Serenity exclaimed, leaving it at that brief interaction before rushing back into the crowd.
