A nervous smile crossed Raf's face at Jax's laugh, then it abruptly dropped as the boy told him to stop calling himself inferior. His processor began to erupt in tumultuous chaos, SynuTech's programming threatening to tear it apart once again. He nearly winced at the painful sensation, but was careful to keep his face neutral in expression. "I will never presume to be the equal of a human. I am an obedient robot. M-My owners are the ones who programmed me this way, who taught me that humans are superior," he said defiantly, head held high. The words sounded not quite his own, but those of a stranger who had occupied his vocalizer for a moment. "A-And they are not assholes." Truth be told, he did not know what an asshole was, but Jax's tone told him it was meant as an insult.

"If they told you that, pretty sure they are," he replied easily. "And you and I both know that's somebody else talking, not you." Robot or not, this kid was just that--a kid--and there was no way he deserved to be brainwashed into thinking his creators were so above him. Jax could tell from the way he spoke, the way he reacted, that he wasn't mindless programming, and while it was nothing like anything he'd seen before and certainly not what he'd expected to find when he'd walked into his dorm, he was taking it in stride. Because he knew how it felt to feel like a slave, to be a slave, in fact, and he couldn't sit back while a kid thought that way about himself.

"I-I..." Raf's brow furrowed and his mouth opened and closed several times, expressing his disbelief. How could this boy think such a thing? Why did he think such a thing? Humans were supposed to hate him. He deserved to be hated, scorned, punished! Because he was an A.I., a computer, a robot, an android...there were countless words to describe him. Worthless. Obedient. Subservient. Inferior. He had to be owned, controlled. But a small voice in the back of his processor seemed to agree with Jax. Could he really trust SynuTech?
Sorrowful red eyes looked up to meet Jax's, and in the boy's eyes Raf saw a fellow slave. Could it possible that this boy could know a sliver of the pain that Rafael had endured? Perhaps he was...right? Maybe he could--argh! As soon as his freedom-seeking thoughts appeared, they were crushed by his subservience program. He bit back the pain. "Why do you care?" The question was not asked in bitterness or even suspicion, but clear and genuine asking. The android honestly could not comprehend the idea of a human treating him with anything other than cruelty.

Jax sighed, leaning back in his chair. He knew he should leave the kid to whatever he wanted to think and not try to bother changing his mind. He was stubborn and probably not worth Jax's time. Besides, ending it now would save him later, he knew. He'd done this before. The last time he'd tried to talk somebody out of thinking they were worthless he'd ended up more screwed up than he'd already been. It was the reason his single goodbye before heading to Foresta had been to a gravestone. But he could see something in this kid's eyes, just a sliver of something, only for an instant. And it gave him hope, like maybe he could make up for his mistakes with Athalia.
"Do I need a reason to care?" he asked. He'd almost let it slip--almost. But no, as much as he liked Raf...no. "Maybe I'm just a nice guy and don't like to see people think like that."

"O-Okay," said Raf, looking down and deciding to focus on the floor. Jax was not like other humans. Suddenly, an image flashed through his processor. A smiling face, shining eyes, and a joyful laugh. 'Raf, Raf! Hello, big brother.' A voice he didn't know he knew. A name to match with it. Haru. Were his memories coming back to him? But just as soon as it had appeared, the memory was gone, and Raf mentally cried out in frustration: Come back! He blinked, returning to the present. "Yes, you are nice."

Jax smiled, tossing another chocolate into the air and catching it in his mouth. "You're nice, too, kid." He hadn't expected to strike up a friendship so quickly, but he was glad he did. It wasn't like he didn't normally have friends--he was generally a likable guy, or at least was good at pretending to be one--but they were rarely real friends. They were the people he was the fake, normal, powerless Jax around, because that was the Jax that could survive in the life he'd been given up until now. But he wasn't a part of that life anymore, and he couldn't believe how good it felt to perhaps have a friendship that wasn't built around it.

While the two boys were chatting, Yokasf took the time to try out another friendship-establishing method, and that is the effective art of giving gifts, which happened to be stashed away inside the nearby refrigerator that is now somewhat left alone when Yokasf began putting objects inside it, and one incident when someone nearly got eaten when a student opened the fridge one time. He walked back to the two, and withdrew a small box from the void that is his torso-like area, which was a simple white box with a ribbon tied in a very sloppy knot. He doesn't realize that his knot-tying skills were more than to be desired. The box, despite being an earnest gift was slightly shivering at odd intervals. Yokasf was positive that his gift would earn some points, or at least from all the visual novels he played.

Jax had almost forgotten about the other...er...student in the room, he'd gotten so caught up in the issue of Raf's beliefs, and when he moved he turned his attention back to Yokasf. His blue gaze landed on the box and he stared at it for a long moment before slowly taking it, figuring that that was what he was getting at. What could be inside Jax had no idea, not even enough to venture a guess. "Um, thanks," he said slowly, staring down at it in his hands for a moment. It seemed to be moving, or something inside it was, and Jax wasn't sure he wanted to know what could be inside that had been kept in a refrigerator. But his curiosity got the best of him and he pulled the knot apart and lifted the lid, bracing himself.

Raf blinked as his optics caught sight of the student he knew to be named Yokasf fumbling...with...something. The android tilted his head, not understanding. The other student approached he and Jax, and produced a small white box out of nowhere, complete with a rumpled ribbon. What was this strange ritual? Raf exchanged a look of confusion with Jax as Yokasf offered the box to the human boy. Jax took it, and Raf took a tentative step forward, curious about the box's contents despite himself.

Once the box was opened and its contents were revealed to the world, reality shattered. The line between existence and emptiness was torn apart as the eyes of mortals were all facing the unknown and the emit truth being revealed. The box's life was brutally cut short as the contents cracked open the states of life and death, and meshed together a unseeingly infinite perspective of phantasm, and the eldritch truth was shown ajar. The air oozed and the sky melted. The land was caught ablaze and the sea took life and devoured the Earth. Children from around the world, and off world halted all movement and began to hum a perfect B flat. A man was sitting in a corner, and his mind was released from the grasp of human understanding and became enlightened of the abomination of the truth of homo sapiens. Corn stalks overgrew, and became the towers of decimation and the Earth was covered whole. The Moon and its partner decided to be apart no more, and collided into a splash of fulfillment, as the screams of un-life were suddenly silenced. The void welcomed the marriage with a parting gift of unbalance and the electrons of the universe were then removed from both fantasy and reality. Yokasf was confused. His confusion sent ripples of normalcy as space-time fluxed into a state of constant pitches and dimensions. Suddenly, the universe collapsed on itself like a person stubbing their toe on a sharp corner, and the space between objects were now no longer a part of a broken world. A pigeon sat on a cow. It barked out the entire script of the missing rapture of angels. A man was looking at his shoes, and socks, and feet, and thought about ordering a pair of boots. A rock was suddenly a turtle, and the turtle was then the world. A little girl dipped a human finger into a jar of pig blood, and then lost her innocence. A drop of melted rock was now denied of its purpose. The department store of boxes were full, and then the planet was beginning it's new season of falling light. Yokasf was still confused, His continued confusion smacked reality back into gears, and time somehow reestablished itself. The universe was crumpled, then straightened back out, first imploding, then exploding itself back into the void. The moon had enough of the Earth for numerous eternities, and reality was resetting and booting itself back up. The box however was discontinued to cease in the mortal world, but then conformed with understanding and human comprehension. The planet was then good, and so was the universe, the the universes around it sighed a relief. All under a split second. the box was opened, and revealed a simple gift.
Inside was conformed into small chocolates of mysterious origins. All of them had patterns that doesn't make any sense with modern shapes. The shapes were hard to look at, as they seem to overlap, and merge, and separate all at the same time. Yokasf thought it would be a wonderful give to start out new relationships, though he didn't think about how the results would have turned out. To him, the chocolates were fine, and he awaited for praise for his hard work. He simply stared.

(OOC: Omg that was the best description of reality imploding that I've ever read. Also wtf)
Jax stared down at the box's contents for a long moment, trying to figure out how to react. He was used to being good with people; he wasn't shy, or awkward, or anything like that naturally. He was, in fact, a rather outgoing person and good at reading others and reacting in the way that got him the result he wanted. But he had no idea how to react to Yokasf, or anything he did. And he was strangely surprised to find chocolates. To be honest, he'd probably been expecting something more along the lines of a animal heart still beating, judging by not only who had given the box to him but the way his day was going. But the chocolates were a nice surprise. He hoped.
He slowly picked one up and studied it, laughing internally at the irony. He so often offered his conjured chocolates to people who immediately suspected them to be dangerous, people he constantly asked why he would have any intention to hurt them, and here he was doing exactly that. "Thanks," he said. "You clearly understand my priorities." His tone was joking and he shot Yokasf a brief smile.
