I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart - I am, I am, I am. |

At the point that it seemed that their enemy had been taken down, Stella took that chance to take a look at her surroundings and consider how she would get out of this place. "Fine, I will." Stella said to the other boy quite simply, not bothering to wait around to see if the person that had knocked out their attacker was friendly enough. She wanted to go back to her dorm room, heal her wounds and clean up. She had enough to write about anyways and it wasn't like she couldn't ask around for any extra information that she needed. With that, Stella decided to leave Adrian on his own and started to stumble away putting distance between them within minutes.
In the mean time, Erin ambled up toward Adrian with her hands held out in a surrender sort of manner. "Woah, kid. I don't want anything to do with you - all I want is him." Erin explained as she pointed to the man that was now bleeding on the floor. "You should probably follow after that girl too, it's not smart to be in this place by yourself." Erin mentioned then to the boy, as if she were giving some sort of helpful advice. Without waiting for any sort of acceptance from Adrian, the young woman moved past him and toward Alex - getting down on her knees to take a better look at the injury that she had caused Alex. "Geez, he's going to hate me for this." Erin muttered with a small sigh - briefly wondering how she would get Alex out of this place.

Olwen was deep in a state of meditation, her entire focus was on the people whom she had under her control. She kept thinking the same thoughts over and over, listening for Tucker to give her the signal to let them go. When she heard his calling and let them go, her entire body shook as she released their foes from her grasp. They slowly began to awaken, but she knew that if there was any time to run, that it would be now. But before she could go anywhere, she needed to straighten herself out. Her vision was blurred from using her powers for so long on so many people, she hadn't done that in ages.
She pulled herself together and looked at the mess that Tucker had made and tried to contain whatever food that was left in her stomach. A few bodies were scattered on the floor and blood was running from a couple of the people who he had fought while she kept the others down. Her eyes quickly fell to him to look for wounds, blood trickled down his body from various spots though she knew that if they didn't want to fight any more people that the wounds would have to wait. Olwen grabbed Tucker where no blood was visible and started to run down the hallways that were before them. Without a clue as to where to go, she kept wondering if they would ever get out alive.

Injury count. Self-inflicted laceration on anterior volar. Multiple infected puncture wounds across torso. Possible organ damage. Fever. Nausea, soon. Dragged behind Olwen by the sleeve of one arm, Tucker explored some of the injuries with his free hand. No trickle. Not clotting properly. Thick. He was no doctor, but he’d been in a hospital all his life. Blood was not supposed to behave like that. “Let go of me.” His tone carried a sudden, pervasive finality as he gave a tug of his arm, pulling free from Olwen. The filter mask set over his mouth had begun to turn a much-too-dark red. His eyes, normally sharp and aware, were unfocused and wavering. He seemed to be having difficulty remaining standing. He shut his eyes for a moment, as if it might keep the room from spinning. “Just… Just clear the path. Find the exit. I’ll be right behind you.” *** Spitfire growled in agitation as his companion left him. Certainly, at his suggestion, because he knew she would get in his way, but the retreat did not help his impression of her. He filed Stella into his ‘permanently useless’ mental cabinet. He wouldn’t have to refer to it later. The intruder attempted to put him at ease, and the Ruby student allowed it. The tension in his body left easily while the woman mostly talked to herself. He almost felt obliged to help her carry the lug out, he could easily lift the boy, but then, this was the guy that had trapped him in ice and ignored his best attempts to fight man to man. Adrian would never be the type to call unfair if someone used their Gift when he had only his fists, but imprisonment belied no strength or challenge. It was cheap and dishonourable. As if Adrian had much care for honor. He turned without another word and made for the exit.

Olwen snapped around as her grip on Tucker was broken, and being in the situation that they were in she had feared that he had been attacked but from what she could tell, they were still enemy free for the time. It wasn't hard to tell that he was in pretty bad shape now, of course she wasn't doing so hot either. From what she could tell, she had blood splattered across her face and on her clothing from fighting the insane man. Her hair was in a knotted mess, clothing torn and dirt was smeared on most of her arms and face. Seeing Tucker stop for a moment, she took the time to catch her own breath.
Feeling a bit better she started off again, looking back at Tucker once more before she kept on going. The hallways seemed never ending until she saw a door at the end of one, light streaming in through the cracks. A cry of delight slipped through her teeth as she bolted for the door, she had never been so happy to get out of anywhere like she did now. Reaching the door, she did what she thought of doing back when she had stopped with Tucker. Olwen leaned against the door and sent Tucker the directions for getting out, having looked in his eyes as she had left him. Olwen finished the message and propped open the door, a cold wind struck her but she couldn't have been more happy.
