Morning at the Port (open)

As the end tail of the worm exited the water, Tem watched at the creature began to slither into the port. Luckily it wasn’t a large or particularly strong creature so the most amount of property damage would probably be the streets being covered in the creature’s slime. She shook her head and sighed since she was stuck focusing all her attention on making sure the ship was alright. She could separate herself into two beings, but that would disrupt her focus and the ship would start sinking again. She just had to be patient for the next few minutes which she wasn’t sure if she could.
The child yelled back at Cade saying something about ice cream and for some reason called him pumpkin head. He didn’t think his head was that big, so he wasn’t sure where that nickname came from. His eyebrows furrowed as he noticed the girl take the ice cream vendor. “What’re you doing?!” he shouted in absolute befuddlement. He knew kids liked ice cream, but apparently the kid had no understanding of everything having a certain time and place.
The movements of the squishy being began to become faster and with that Cade couldn’t keep up just by hopping. So instead he leapt onto the back of the worm and dislodged his leg from the inside of the worm. His gaze honed on the back of the beast as he began to pound his fists into it which had basically the same effect of his kick from earlier. After a number of successive hits the worm being split into two pieces. Given that it was a worm, the front end of it continued to move and the back end seemed to squirm in the opposite direction, almost like it was retreating.
Cade picked himself off the ground, now being covered in the worm’s slime. He quickly glanced at the two halves of the worm and muttered “of course” in a sort of defeated tone.

Kaeru looked back to see the Orange Wonder fisting the worm on its back. She stopped to breathe a bit, but then started to run again when the worm suddenly split in two. ‘No good! This worm is going to catch up eventually, wait, what if…’ Kaeru thought as she looked around. She kept an eye on the retreating worm half, and then turned an eye to the officer that was just standing there, next toward the Pumkinator who was covered in worm slime, and finally to the boxes of umbrellas she was sitting on earlier. Kaeru then had a plan.
Kaeru changed her course toward the slimy orange guy and started to increase her speed. “Hey! Orange Head! I got a plan to get rid of this thing! Get the other- whoa! –other half of the worm near the busted ship!” Kaeru yelled. She hoped he heard her from this distance or he might get run over by ice cream containers.

Tem was nearly close to completion, so close that she couldn’t handle standing idly while the worms roamed the docks. Sure, they weren’t causing much damage nor had anyone been injured, but she really didn’t like the way they were acting. She felt like an adolescent child waiting for the bell to ring three minutes before class was over. She had to wait just a little bit longer though and let the teacher and the hoodlum handle the situation, which she also didn’t like having to do.
Cade watched as the other worm half was squirming away and it looked as though its path was back toward the area in which it first arose. He didn’t think that it was intimidated by him because of what he did, but instead it was trying to get out of the sun before the mucus around its body dried up like its smaller counterpart would. Then again the other piece had no problem chasing the little girl around, so his hypothesis could be wrong.
Speaking of which, the little girl was shouting something about a plan and was again referring to him by names involving orange. He had no clue what that was about, but he also had no clue why she was running around with an ice cream cart either. Given everything she’s already shown about her thought pattern, Cade didn’t even give her plan a second thought. “It’s retreating back to its home already! Just leave the ice cream and get out of the worm’s way it’ll probably head back as well!” he shouted back trying to convince her with common sense. He was quick to notice that she was heading directly toward him, so he immediately moved out of the way.

‘No good, he won’t listen. Okay then, change of plans!’ Kaeru sped pass the human orangutan and shortly after, passed the officer. Skidding to a stop right in front of the ruined ship, she quickly dug inside the ice cream vendor. The worm came closer and closer toward her. The other half of the worm slid into the bay with a loud splash.
Kaeru took out buckets of multiple flavored ice creams and threw them in the water under the ship. She kept one bucket to herself, holding it tightly as she amazingly leaped up to the bow of the ship just as the worm made contact with the ice cream cart. It kept going and smashed itself into the hull of the ship, knocking it outward. The force shook Kaeru off the ship, but she was able to land on her feet. The worm halted inside the hull, not making any more movements inside. Kaeru examined the damaged the worm caused to the ship, from what she could infer, it's not sailing any time soon that's for sure.

Cade noticed the girl wasn’t listening to him and sped by him regardless of what he ordered for her to do. The worm followed after her and Cade just slid out of the way. He couldn’t handle fighting another one of those worms especially one slithering at its top speed. Its top speed wasn’t too impressive, but regardless it was moving too fast for Cade to deal with it since he was already so winded. He supposed that whatever happened next was just going to happen and he wasn’t going to be held responsible if a child was so unresponsive.
Tem finally finished raising the ground under the ship. It was a long a tedious task, but it had to be done, now she could finally get rid of those worms before they reek anymore havoc than they already have. Though as soon as she turned around to face the half of the worm, the little girl was already tossing ice cream at the ship. Tem was confused by the sight for a brief moment that was soon interrupted by the worm crashing into the ship. The worm knocked it right off the sand pedestal she had made and into the open waters where it was threatened to be sunk again.
Tem’s jaw fell agape for a short second or so before she went into full out rage. “You fucking worm!” she shouted lividly as she saw all the work she had completed be undone by a creature with less of a brain than she had. She instantly morphed into a shroud of sand and blasted herself at the invertebrate. She wrapped herself around the body of the slimy creature and flung it far out into the sea hoping that some large fish brutalizes it before it’s eaten.
She rematerialized on the portion of the ship’s deck that wasn’t wrecked by the creature and looked up at the child once more. “You! Get off the ship and get out of here before I launch you over to the other end of the ocean too!” she commanded the girl in a very tense manner.

Kaeru heard a voice of utter rage behind her. She turned around to see the officer staring at her furiously from below. Kaeru was confused. She just had beaten the worm yet getting a look like that isn’t what Kaeru expected. Then she remembered about the ship. ‘Oh yeah, the ship got wrecked. Well it wasn’t my fault… okay I guess I had a part in this but it was mostly the worm!' Kaeru leaped her way toward the officer and landing in her direction.
“Miss Officer Lady, I just wanted to say that I saved this place from an evil, ice cream loving menace. I don’t know if you had a something special with the ship, but it was a sacrifice for the good of the ice cream. The ship might be ascending to ice cream heaven for its good deed as we speak.” If Kaeru wasn’t holding on to the remaining bucket of ice cream she would’ve saluted the ship for its destruction.
“Besides, that ship should be condemned a long time ago. You cannot believe how messed up it was inside. Yuck, I think I need a bath after this.” Kaeru wasn’t exaggerating. It smelt like a bunch of old, smelly socks having a big sock-ish orgy. Kaeru refused to go inside the ship at all after she got a sniff.

The spot where Cade once was suddenly became vacant. Once the worm crashed into the boat, he just sort of walked off. There really wasn’t much he could do at that point so he didn’t feel the need to stick around, besides the police officer was out of her restraints, she’d be able to handle everything.
Tem’s livid gaze fell upon the child as she began to blather on about absolute non-sense to her. The majority of what she was saying felt like it came straight from the mind of a deranged child, which it probably was, so she didn’t see it much more than that. It would probably take a lot of convincing in order to make Tem believe that the worm even had a sweet tooth, but currently it wasn’t going to be an explanation she’d listen to even if it were being told by a biologist with the highest possible degree and a Nobel prize.
She didn’t want to stay on the ship any longer than she needed to, but by law she is to make sure that every civilian is off the ship, which was the child at the moment. “There are sea monsters out there with an acquired taste for child, so get off the ship!” she commanded once again as she pointed her thumb back at the port. She was about ready to throw the child back against the port deck herself and claim the child was resisting if called upon it.

Hearing the force behind the officer’s words, Kaeru quickly leaped off the ship. She already knows that she might be in big trouble. Kaeru checked her last remaining bucket of ice cream. She didn’t have time to check the labels for the flavor when she threw them out. It was strawberry ice cream that had quite a lot inside, just a few inches from the top. At least she still has ice cream to look forward too.
Kaeru noticed she didn’t have a spoon to scoop the ice cream out. She didn’t want to use her hands either since her hands was freezing from holding on to the bucket. Her third option was to eat directly from the container, but that would mean it sticking everywhere. So instead of giving in to her inner sweet tooth, she closed the lid and sat patiently.

Tem was finished with the predicament entirely. She couldn’t convict the child for anything as of yet since there was no real proof that she had done anything and all the witnesses were scattered due to the giant worm fiasco. The ship was still sinking and she didn’t have the patience to raise the sea floor to save it again, so she decided that it would be best to have the professionals do their job of recovering the sinking vessel.
She felt a strong breeze blowing her way and let the wind carry off her sand particles until she changed into the form she arrived in, a gust of sand. She wasn’t too happy about her failure to secure the ship, but she didn’t see it entirely as her fault. Tem was heading back to the police station to file the reports and attempt to gather the shipmates that were the crew of the ship, although without any names or any certain faces she could recall she was sort of left in the dark.
(OOC: End it here then?)

Kaeru watched the officer fade away in a gust of sand. She just sat there for about an extended minute before picking herself off the ground. The orange sun was starting to peak out of the horizon beyond the sea. It was starting to get a little brighter around the port. Kaeru decided staying around here wouldn’t be a good idea and ran off toward the town.
‘First things first, I need a bath,’ Kaeru thought. ‘Then find a way to get to the school building thing. Yep, sounds like a plan!’ Kaeru glanced at her ice cream bucket. ‘But wait, my ice cream might melt if I don’t eat it fast enough!’ With problematic thoughts, Kaeru went into the town with ice cream in both arms, awaiting to bring the stomach aches to its soon-to-be victim.
(OOC: Okay, this is the end.)
