The hustle and bustling of the Market irritated Jason, he always hated crowds and being in them. He never really got along with huge crowds and he couldn't resist having sticky fingers some times for an easier living "Guess there is no avoiding coming here," Jason said to Sandra. Sandra probably had no idea how much he hated being in the market. "So I guess the 1st thing to look for is the bank?" he asked, "Where is it anyway? The sooner we get out of here the happier I'll be."

Crowds of people tend to mean danger for anyone around Sandra. Even though she had let off a discharge of flame not too long ago, she still had that worry in the back of her mind. She tried to avoid thinking about it much and ignored it the best that she could. As well, the crowds meant that she could absorb a bit of body heat out from other people as she passed by them. Luckily it wasn’t enough for anyone to notice that they’ve lost any. She didn’t want to bring up too much attention from the random strangers.
Sandra was so busy concerning of herself and the people around her she almost forgot she was playing tour guide for Jason. She shifted her head toward the boy as soon as he made a sound after staring off into space. “Oh, the bank?” she answered as she lifted her head and tried to poke it over the other civilians in the marketplace to spot a landmark. Sadly she was almost an entire foot shorter than the average human being so she was unsuccessful at finding anything. She wasn’t around the marketplace too often since her ability stopped her from going outside during half of the year, but she was good at remembering places and directions.
“Um, if I had longer legs I could tell you, but right now I’m a bit left in the dark. If you can see a sign that says Second street, then we should turn down it, I think there’s a bank there” she responded, again proving her inability to be a proper tour guide.

"Hmm...... Second street, second street, where is second street?" Jason mumbled to himself looking around for any signs. About a block down Jason saw a sign that said "Fourth St." "I'm guessing fourth street is on the way to second street right?" he said for confirmation of the direction he needed to go.
As soon as he saw an opening in the crowd he took it. Jason grabbed Sandra's hand without warning to help her pulling her right behind him through the crowd. "I hope I am going the right direction." Jason thought to himself. Finally they got to the base of the sign. "Sorry about that," Jason immediately apologized to Sandra, "I am not a huge fan of crowds and figured it would be easier to get there if we were directly on top of the sign." "God I hope she isn't mad at me," Jason thought.

Sandra followed closely to Jason as he searched for the street she advised him to. She didn’t want to be too far away from him in case the crowd would accidentally cut them off from each other. “Well, yes. You just go down Fourth street and then logically you’d go up Third street and bam, you’re there, but…” she unnecessarily explained to him before he yanked her hand and dragged her through a small opening through the crowd.
Sandra was at ease now that they weren’t so clustered, but she had a bit of a gripe with the way Jason executed their retreat. His apology did little to make up for it. She stole her hand back and gave him a bit of a wide eyed expression. “Dude! Don’t touch my hand! If I wasn’t wearing gloves you’d be feeling the cold shoulder right about now, literally” she exclaimed, though trying to keep her temper as well as she could. Ever since her experience in the winter she’s been a bit touchy about her ability.
Sandra cringed a little and left off a bit of a sigh. “Okay I overreacted a little, but um, just don’t touch my hands. You’re in the clear for now” she said trying to make up for her outburst. “The bank should be just a little ways down this way” she continued as she pointed down the street they were on.

"I am really sorry," Jason apologized again. "I just didn't want to be stuck there a moment longer." Seeing the back Jason hurried over keeping an eye on Sandra behind him making sure he didn't lose her. Once at the bank Jason took some time establishing with the bankers what he needed to do in order for his old account at his old bank to have things set for him here at Foresta. After finishing up and having all his currency converted into US dollars at no charge, Jason asked Sandra, "About how much will all this cost? The computer, TV and shoes, since I am still really unsure of how much this currency is really worth. Also let me know if there is anything you see or want to look at." Jason finished up saying with a smile. "Maybe I can get her something to apologize to her for earlier, she seemed really mad." Jason thought to himself after finishing his words.

After Jason had made the second apology for what he’d done, Sandra began to feel as though she’d been a bit too harsh on him. There was truly no concern and she overreacted since the boy would’ve had to hold on for much longer than he did in order to lose a significant amount of body heat. Then again her powers have been making her quite moody, so she wanted them to come up as least as possible.
“It’s okay, really. At least we got to where we needed to go” she answered him as she followed him to the bank. She waited outside the bank building, contemplating on how she messed up by snapping at the boy. He was really just looking out for their best interest, but whatever it happened, not much she could do about it now.
Once Jason returned, he began to ask how much money this trip would put him out of. “Computer? If you’re looking to get a good one, maybe five hundred dollars or more. A T.V. would put you out possibly fifty or so, if you get an old one, a new and big one might cost you nearly the same amount as a computer. And shoes… I don’t buy them often, but a pair for twenty would beat the ones your wearing” she listed off finishing her last sentence by staring at his shoes or lack thereof.
“I’ll probably be just browsing around whatever shop we go to for your T.V.. I don’t plan on getting anything today, but I’ll need a new pair of speakers soon.” She spoke her thoughts instead of keeping them in her head as she tended to do.

"Well I guess it would be a good idea to get some shoes 1st," Jason said with a joking smile on his face. So after a bit of searching and wandering a shoes store was finally found, but what Jason saw really disappointed him. All the shoes that had were these over the top extremely fancy things he didn't want. For some reason the sales person kept showing him shoes called "Air Jordans" and "Lebron" to which the only thing he could ask was, "What the hell are those?"
Jason was getting extremely tired of the sales guy annoying him. Jason walked back over to Sandra to give her a heads up, "Hey I am going to dissappear for a few minutes, I'll still be here, just not noticable." Just as he finished giving Sandra a heads up, the sales person was back with another mountain of shoes. "Do me one last favor, if he starts asking where I went, pretend I wasn't even here and convince him he is going insane," Jason said jokingly. Jason then turned to the sales guy, "Hey what are those over there on the wall?" he asked to get him to look away for a second. The sales person started to go into some long boring details he honestly didn't care about, and as he turned back to face Jason he was already gone and hidden away in the shadows, free to browse without an annoying sales person looking over his shoulder the whole entire time.

Sandra agreed with Jason on their first stop being the shoe store, since his shoes were probably the more important thing to pick up. Though, she had no clue where a shoe store would be, so it was a bit of blind luck that they found one at all. Again, Sandra waited outside the store for when the boy would return because it was without question that there would be air conditioning in the store, she preferred to absorb some of the sun’s rays while she still could.
Apparently Jason was having issues with an irritating salesman, she’s had those a couple times as well, but she was able to out annoy them purposefully. Though, Jason had an easier way than how Sandra would deal with them. He used his powers once again, which she still wasn’t sure what it was. It seemed like invisibility, but she wasn’t sure if that was the case.
When he was gone, Sandra was left with the salesman to deal with. He asked where the boy went and she gave him a wide eyed confused expression. “Why are you asking me, I’m not a babysitter. Besides I haven’t even seen anyone go into your store since I’ve been here” Sandra said while trying to sound like a snide teenager. She flicked her hair and stared back at the neighboring stores that she had been looking while she had been waiting.

The price of the shoes was outrageous to Jason and he even considered taking a pair just because the shoes he wanted were only worth $10, but the store was charging $45 for them. The store was lucky that Sandra was with him, if she wasn't she would probably yell at him and tell him that stealing was wrong, but at the same time this store was robbing it's customers. Jason got his shoes and promptly reappeared at the register, "Hey am I going to get any service or do you treat all your customers this badly?" he said in an impatient manner to mess with the shop keeper. After he had been wrung up and paid for his shoes, while walking through the door he told the sales man, "You may want to order more shoes, these were the only ones you had at all and you got lucky they were the right size." As the sales man glanced at his isles of shoes, all the shelves appeared to be baron. Jason was lucky that the shelves were full of shadow for him to cover them all. Jason let out a lighthearted chuckle as he walked out of the store to meet with Sandra. "Where are we off to next?" he asked with a smile.

It seemed like quite a lengthy bit of time since Jason had last came out of the doors to the shop. Luckily Sandra had occupied that time with twiddling her thumbs after the salesman had reentered his store believing he was absolutely mad. She had to chuckle as soon as he left since she didn’t want to blow her cover.
Finally Jason exited the building to meet up with her once more. He asked her where they should go next with a strangely joyous smile. She thought at first that it was either that he enjoyed shoe shopping that much or loathed it so much that he was happy it was over. As soon as she peered into the store’s front window and saw the salesman whimpering in his empty isles she understood his amusement quickly. She giggled slightly and congratulated him a bit “nice job.”
“Hrm, maybe we should go to the computer store first and leave the T.V. for last, since we can determine which kind to get based on how much money you’ll have afterwards.” she spoke quite logically. “I think there’s a computer store not too far from here”

"So just a dumb question, but what do I really need a computer for?" Jason asked Sandra slightly confused. "I mean I have survived my whole life without one, so why would I want one now?" Jason honestly didn't know why he would need something like it, plus it would just be a hassle to learn something new he most likely didn't need. "I mean I know a TV sounds like something nice to have on rainy days, but what exactly does a computer do?" Jason was completely clueless about modern technology growing up in a rural area. He knew about TVs but the ones he was thinking of were the old tube ones that some of the more wealthy towns people had. The more he thought about it, the more he dreaded the idea of lugging an extremely heavy TV back to his room. "Are we even going to be able to carry a computer and TV back in one trip? Or will it be so heavy we need to get some movers to move it or something?" Jason honestly didn't think these things through and was dreading it more and more every second.

Jason asked what a computer was good for, Sandra could give him a plethora of examples and purposes that computers had. In fact, she would’ve been stupefied by such a question if she hadn’t known that the boy grew up in a rural town. “Well, if your penmanship is good then you might not need one to write reports, but some classes do require a computer for research and what not. Besides you might want to learn how to use one since they aren’t going to go away anytime soon and the later you learn the larger the hassle will be” she suggested. “Overall though it is your choice.”
Sandra actually didn’t consider the trip back from shopping. Well, she only knew that they were going to get a T.V. and some sneakers, so she originally thought that they’re upper body strength would be enough. She eyed Jason’s build as she thought of her response. “You’ve got some muscles, not much, but you can handle it regardless” she joked while grinning largely. “Although, you should probably skip the computer because it’ll be a lot less weight for you to handle.”
She stared off into the distance as she tried to look for the location of the electronics store she would usually go to. It was a relatively cheap place and often times had the best deals around the marketplace since a lot of what they sold was either bootlegged or stock of products that other stores were trying to be rid of. She knew that it was near the computer store, but the glare of the sun on her glasses was messing with her eyes.

Jason let out a small sigh. He knew his handwritting was horrid, that all his teachers ever told him. "I guess there is no way around it." he sighed, "I guess I'll need a computer after all. Are these computers small, like a cell phone, or are they massive like the size of a desk?" Jason remember hearing stories about how big some computers tended to be, as well as how small they could be and dreaded carrying a huge one. He had no other choice then to trust Sandra would steer him in the right direction. But she was right, the longer he stayed ignorant of technology the harder it would be later on for him.

Jason’s next question displayed how little he knew about computers. It seemed so unbelievable how clueless he was about it during the current day and age, She began to wonder if he actually came from a rural community or if he had somehow went through a time loop from a couple decades back. She would’ve called that off as an insane question, but given her environment she wasn’t quite sure if that was impossible.
Before she could pull a brain muscle, she had to provide the boy with an answer. “Well, if size and weight matters to you then you could get a mini laptop. They’re the cheapest and most aren’t much larger than your two hands combined. They can average around four or so hundred dollars. If any that might be preferable since it won’t be much of an issue to carry back.”

"Tell you what, why don't you get me there, tell me what you think is decent and not a rip off and I'll get that?" Jason said trying to end the endless thinking cycle that was going on in his head. "Plus I think I can trust you, since you fed me and whatnot. It's kind of like you can be a translator for me and I'll just pick from the ones you single out. And once this is all over and done with we can watch those movies you were talking about!" Jason finshed up hoping that the computer shopping would be less painful than the shoe shopping.
