Having been struck by yet another frightful anxiety attack, Iris chose wander the rose garden in a desperate attempt for relief. Nighttime had cast an inky darkness upon Foresta already, despite the time only being seven-thirty. With three and a half hours until curfew, she decided that taking a stroll wouldn't devour all of that time, and thus didn't find herself flinch at the biting cold as frigid as she usually would. Iris needed to take advantage of these serene moments of complete stillness, so that she could mentally refer to the caress of silence when she yearned for its dark tendrils once more. Freezing temperatures wouldn't prevent her from this experience.
Holding out her thin hand from beneath her lengthy sleeves, she conjured a small sphere of paled, blue energy that pulsed with a tranquil radiance. Despite not being able to see the beautious colors of the frosted roses. It was enough to delve in the company of such romantic flowers for her. Dressed in her paled green, baggy and gently oversized sweater, dark blue, old skinny jeans and brown, worn combat boots, she felt that she was dressed appropriately enough, even if she was still adorned in her white-quartz necklace. No matter the season or time, Iris felt incomplete with the shards of crystals slung loosely around her neck, for it symbolized everything she adored about Minnie, her caretaker, and it was a prime source of anxious release.
Speaking of which, the girl's fingers had already been mercilessly gnashed and bled profusely, only now secreting a few drops of the scarlet liquid every now and then. Iris established herself upon one of the countless benches then, both keeping her palmed turned upwards and hand upon her lap to illuminate the small area arojnd her. With everything but people subdued to monotone hues, vision in the darkness was incredibly limited. Nonetheless, she'd rather sit in the numbing cold than run the constant risk of unwanted social or physical interaction with other students in Foresta.. Nobody would be crazy enough to venture out at this time of night, right? With her facial features highlighted softly by the glow of her ice-blue sphere of manifested energy, she observed the scene about her, wondering what it would look like if she could still view colors against typical background items rather than the emotions of people. Her long, dirty-blonde hair tugged playfully in the oncoming breeze, livid, green eyes fixated upon the pulsating energy that floated in the center of her palm.

Sandrine was walking around in the garden, all alone, enjoying the view. She was wearing a ridiculous looking witch's hat with pink frills around it and a small yellow star on the end. Along with that, she was wearing her normal long, black cloak, along with some warm clothing underneath to keep from freezing out in the cold. She had decided to walk around and explore the school's grounds, considering she'd only just enrolled in the place and knew nothing, no one. She was smiling sweetly, in a cheerful mood as always, though strangely enough even with the little bounce in her step she wasn't making a noise at all as she walked. She was just bending over to pick one of the roses for herself, deciding that she wanted one without bothering to check if she'd even be allowed, before she suddenly spotted a flash of pale blue light not too far away.
She paused, her fingers gently caressing the flower that she had aimed for as she stared at the source of the light; a pretty girl in a baggy sweater and jeans. She wondered, for a moment, what the girl was doing out in the dark, all alone in the garden, but then realized she was essentially doing the same thing, so she quickly picked the rose and then took another one while she was at it, gently breaking the thorns off of both as she walked calmly towards the girl she had spotted. She didn't want to scare the girl, so she started focusing on her footsteps so that they would start making sound again, her boots crunching snow underfoot as she let out a soft, happy humming.
That was when she saw the girl turn and sit down on one of the benches, sitting alone in the dark and the cold. It made Sandrine a bit sad, especially since the girl was so pretty... She decided she'd give the girl both of the roses to try and cheer her up. She was excited to meet a new person, though deep down inside she was a bit empty; all of this happiness and cheer was just an act, after all. She was making up for lost time, since she wasn't allowed to be a kid when she was actually younger. Before long she was standing in front of the girl with the little blue orb of energy, grinning widely at her and holding both roses out to her, one in each hand, bent over at her hips slightly. "Hello, there~ I saw you out here, all alone, and it made me kinda sad so I wanted to give you a rose to make you happy.." She said, biting her lip and blushing a bit brighter as she let out a cute giggle. "I also picked one for myself, but... I decided to give you both, since you're so pretty~" It would be difficult to tell if she was making a joke about why she was giving the girl the second rose, though she tried to make it clear that she actually meant the compliment. "Mind if I sit with you?"

At the sound of footsteps, Iris had dissipated the blue energy sphere, hastily turning her palm downwards. She clutched the armrests of the bench as her heartbeat's pace quickened drastically. Why did someone else have to be here? Once the girl had approached her with the roses, she instinctively recoiled back into the bench, listening with dismay as the girl giggled and attempted to pay her a "compliment". Of course, she didn't believe a single word that issued from her lips, assuming it was yet another cruel joke of some sort. Nobody would be naive and kind enough to go around throwing compliments around, especially to Iris of all people. Against the monotone hues of the garden, the other student was a bright, neon green-yellow in her eyes, representing her optimistic and bubbly demeanor. Iris' mind always did this subconsciously to anyone she encountered, although the intensity of the color was so great that she almost had to squint a little.
Her expression saturated in fear and humility, she took the roses anxiously, wondering if they'd explode in her violently quivering hands. In fact, her entire body trembled with such a force that it didn't even seem possible to shiver at a greater rate. A small nod for the flowers passed through her, unable to speak due to her trepidation, shaking her head at the girl's request if she'd mind her sitting there as well. She kept a comfortable, perhaps a bit lengthy, distance between them, still convinced that the cloaked student had far worse intentions. Out of habit, her fingers began to slice themselves against the edge of the quartz around her neck, the drops of blood running soothingly down her hands. Socialization was immensely intimidating for Iris, to the point where she required some sort of destructive release. Her lucid, green eyes didn't veer from the girl for a moment, prepared for any sort of ridicule.

Sandrine watched nervously as Iris reacted so violently, seemingly to her presence alone. It was a bit disheartening, to say the least, but all the same she kept a smile on her face and sat down as Iris took the flowers. She bunched up her cloak against the cold, starting to feel it at last as she sat there for a few moments in silence, not knowing what to say. She wanted to be friends with the girl, but it seemed like the girl was either scared of her or just didn't like her. Either way, that made the whole thing more difficult, so her mind raced trying to find the right thing to say. When she finally came up with something, it wasn't much at all. All the work she'd put in to finding the best thing to say provided only a simple statement, one that was hardly even a good thing to say. "Geez.. It's really cold out, huh?"
As she spoke, she tried to scoot a little closer to Iris, wanting to try and calm her down. She was taking all the wrong steps towards doing that, in a way, but she had no idea what to do in a situation like this, so she was just doing what came to her. "Hey, I'm not here to hurt you okay? I.. I just want to be friends~ I just got here, and... Well... Lets just say I haven't had many friends in my life. I'd like to start now, where I can have a fresh start.. You know?" She said, not knowing if the quivering girl next to her even thought she wanted to hurt her in the first place. In truth, one could say she wasn't far off, but she could have been completely off base and she wouldn't know either way right now. Sandrine hadn't noticed Iris' bleeding fingers yet, so she just scooted another few inches closer and stayed there, about 6 inches away from the other girl. She held out her arms a bit, gesturing for a hug a bit nervously. She was pretty sure she'd be denied at this point, but she could get a hug later. She was only a little bit worried about her hug being denied; She was mostly worried about being shooed off after her attempts to make a friend here. Her bright purple eyes met Iris' beautiful green ones for a moment, looking deep into them. She wanted to seem as sincere as possible, since she was actually telling the truth. She already liked Iris. She didn't even know her name, and her behavior was a bit off-putting, but she was willing to sit with Sandrine and that was already quite enough. Not to mention she was so beautiful that Sandra (short for Sandrine) couldn't help but be a tad bit infatuated, but she'd have to keep that to herself, as always. Not many people took to it very well.

Silas walked down the path & stared solemnly at his feet as they shuffled across the iced over concrete. He had just awoken from a nap & had no desire to sleep any more unless necessary. He hadn't gotten dressed up despite the fact that there was a dance going on today. Silas's apparel was normal to him, but could be considered goth to some people. His black jeans, grey and blue high tops, black shirt & black jacket barely kept him warm but he didn't mind the cold yet. Though, he did worry about his shoes falling apart in the snow slush & kept wishing he had worn his black boots instead. Silas thought momentarily about going to the dance, but knew that he would never do something like that alone. He needed a partner in crime. And possibly a change in clothing to look somewhat nice.
His mind had been full of thoughts of home as he slowly followed the path, not even aware of his surroundings as he grew closer to the Rose Garden. He truly missed home & his parents, but knew that missing them wasn't going to get him home or bring them to him. He kept wondering how his dads were doing with working to be nice to each other, but he doubted that that new years resolution would last very long with them. Knowing how those two would ram heads at the simplest things, but that was what drew them together in the first place. So Silas kept wishing that it would be what brought them together again in the end.
Looking up, he stopped & glanced around the place he had come to. A cold wind bit at his neck while he stared at the crumbling roses that were around him. He slowly bent over & picked the tallest one from the bunch. As he plucked it from its roots, his finger ran across a dull thorn & he inspected the once lovely flower. Silas's imagination began to spin as he looked at it, & within seconds he was holding a lavish red rose instead of what had been there before. Of course it still crumbled slightly in his palm & the thorn was dull, but it looked as if it had just bloomed.
Silas carefully moved the roses corpse to his back pocket & continued to walk on. His mind creating a vast change in the scenery. The snow still drifted down, the ground was still snowy, winters claws were still clawing at his back; but the rose garden looked alive again. He saw flowers of many colors & tried feebly to hear birds or crickets or something, but his concentration was lacking. He heard nothing for a moment, & when he heard two ladies conversing he thought he was imagining that too until he stopped trying to hear things. He slowly stopped in his tracks, not sure whether he wanted to approach the two ladies knowing how he might look to them. A big guy dressed in black walking towards them in the middle of the night? Not really sure how they'd react, he suddenly started wondering if they would see his illusion because of how close he was to them and he started to back away from the two.

Inevitably, Iris' nervousness increased as the neon girl attempted to move closer to her, murmuring words of encouragement to coax her into socialization. But, she wouldn't have any of it, only inching away as the other student advanced upon her. "Y-Yes, f-freezing," she'd answered apprehensively to the statement considering the weather, not really interested in how frigid the temperatures had stooped. Her fingers bled profusely now, having reopened the wounds in the bitter winds, but still being washed over by the sickening sense of relief that this pain brought. The scarlet fluid streamed down her hands as she relentlessly sliced the flesh upon her fingertips, feeling immensely discomforted by the rapidly diminishing distance between them.
Iris did empathize with the bright girl for not having many companions, for she'd fallen into the same rut in her past. Although she nodded anxiously in response to the melancholy statement, she didn't dare move forward to accept the bashful female's embrace. Physical contact with strangers both mortified and irritated her all at once, even if they were a student at Foresta. She wasn't opposed to a fresh start, since she would have to engage in social interaction in some manner eventually, yet the contact would take time to adjust to, if it ever occurred. Iris' emerald gaze couldn't maintain full eye contact with the other girl's intense stare, unable to match its level of severity. Eventually, she was forced to rise up off of the park bench, finding that she quaked too violently for her liking, and now she had to avoid establishing herself too closely to the female. "S-Sorry," she apologized softly, her eyes lingering towards the ground. It wasn't that Iris desired to rid herself of the neon-hued girl, yet she required a certain amount of personal space. Guilt and regret welled up in her chest, causing her to repeat her apologies over and over again until she faded into silence, also continuing to brutally abuse the skin upon her fingertips as this occurred. All of her thoughts suddenly dissipated, however, as the scenery altered around her in a glorious fashion.
Colors she'd presumed long lost returned, viewing a beautiful, vibrant rose garden, with each hue distributed evenly throughout rather than sticking firmly to the people around her. Iris' eyes ignited with delight now, never having experienced so much joy in her life in so long... A boy, who she sensed gravitated the image towards him, backed away slowly nearby, causing the girl to lift up her quivering hand in trepidation, "P-Please, d-don't... D-Don't go.. I-I long t-to see th-these colors a-as you do.." She took a skittish step forward then, relishing the moments that she could see the world in a natural perspective. However, the boy was hued as a timid, pulsating gray in her eyes as a result of his reclusive reaction. Her boots pressed softly against the ground as she absorbed the absolutely stunning scene, releasing a contented sigh despite the blood streaming down her hand and onto the ground. For a few moments, she didn't feel anxious or guilty for her antisocial behavior, and Iris couldn't have felt better.

Sandrine was significantly disheartened when the girl denied her the hug, but she had expected as much, so she was able to maintain her composure and wasn't all that surprised by it. She'd put herself out there, which was all she had promised herself, so she couldn't even be that upset. She expected such a reaction from Iris and she tried anyway. That had to count for something. Still, she couldn't help but pout a little as the girl she'd become fond of so quickly looked away from her and stood up to escape her. "No, it's okay, really.." Sandrine slid away on the bench as she spoke, shaking her head quickly and resuming her classic idiotic smile. "I get it, way to quick! I was never good at pacing myself, really, and I guess I just got carried away meeting someone new. I do it all the time.."
Sandrine trailed off as she suddenly noticed the area around her filling up with life. She was surprised she had managed to find two decent-looking roses earlier, but this was too unbelievable. Everything was in full bloom, as if it were mid-spring or something. Her face lit up almost as much as Iris's, and she stood up quickly to look around at the beautiful sites. A small gasp of joy escaped her lips, and she quickly ran off to the side, picking a much more vibrantly colored rose than before, but this one happened to be particularly withered in actuality and crumbled immediately in her grasp. At first she yelped at this development, backing away quickly from the rose she had just turned to dust in her hand, and then she just stood there, confused, staring down at the strange wastes of the flower that she could have sworn was at the peek of it's life seconds ago.
She looked around, breaking her stare at the crumbled flower and glancing back over at the girl she had been speaking to. At first she felt offended, and even a little bit hurt, that she was now talking to someone off to the side. Her voice was shaking and she was stuttering, but she was forcing out more words than she had bothered to even try to speak to Sandrine, and it actually stung to see that for a few moments. Quickly, however, she realized there was some form of deeper cause for this, not just the general dis-interest that Sandrine had suspected in those few moments (though Sandrine was still pretty sure that the girl was in fact quite dis-interested in her, she just realized now that this wasn't the only cause of her increased speech). Somehow, she suspected, the girl wasn't actually capable of seeing colors, and she now was for some reason. That, combined with the crumbling flower that was only just starting to bloom, was the basis of her theory as to what was going on; an illusion. She didn't exactly understand how, but hell, she didn't even understand her own abilities, so who was she to question this conclusion? She looked in the direction that Iris was looking, putting on her same old sweet little smile and letting out a warm giggle that could have melted the snow if it actually had temperature to it.
Sandrine walked over to Iris's side, for a moment pausing to wonder what the girl's name was as she realized she hadn't yet been told. After this brief pause, she made sure she wasn't standing too close to the girl, not wanting to make her uncomfortable again -- at least not yet -- and then kept on looking at the boy who had been out walking around just like her. She stuck her tongue out at him playfully and giggled again, waving happily. "Hey, you! Come on over here~ You can be my friend too, just like this pretty girl next to me!" She said, not bothering to even check and make sure of whether or not Iris was, in fact, her friend. She didn't really care either way, she was going to consider the girl a friend until something happened to change that view, one way or another. She smiled over at Iris, now, after claiming her as a friend, to see what her reaction would be. She hoped it was a positive one, but again she expected nothing more than rejection, despite her outward appearance of cheerfulness.

Silas stopped as he heard a shaky voice behind him, calling him to come back. He slowly turned his head back and wondered what she meant by "seeing colors as he did" but he didn't feel the need to ask. If she wanted to tell him, she would. Silas turned on his heels, stuffed his hands in his pockets and gingerly walked towards the two ladies. Carefully placing his feet down on the snowy cement and obliviously trying not to fall down. As he was walking he heard the other girls voice, offering friendship. But he had a feeling in his gut that his power would be something desired by the girl who couldn't see colors. While the other, just seemed to want people to call friends.
Silas came to a stop a few feet in front of them and smiled weakly. Not used to the company of ze ladies, he wasn't really sure what to say. Yet Silas felt like all he really needed to do was show them instead. He lifted his eyes and took in all that he was projecting, then made some changes. He changed the colors of all the flowers and made it look as if it had just rained. Silas could almost smell the scent of the dew he was projecting, he was beaming at this accomplishment. Pushing himself a little further, he continued to change the scenery up by making birds fly by, bees hover past and hedgehogs scurry by.
His eyes fell from the view and turned his attention to the girls, wondering how they would take it all in. "My name's Silas, and you can probably tell that I have the power to make illusions." As he spoke his right hand fell to his back pocket as he gently rubbed his thumb across the withering rose, and as he felt it crumbling under the soft pressure he carefully put his hand back into his pocket. Afraid of damaging it anymore.

Inevitably, Iris had damaged the other girl's pride by rejecting the embrace, but she could only cast her a brief apologetic glance for her tentative actions. Such forwardness wasn't something she was accustomed to, and thus, she couldn't accept it just yet. This didn't mean that she outwardly disliked the female, for she appeared rather friendly and charismatic, two traits that although Iris didn't possess, she admired. As the girl flanked her after the illusionist paused, she offered her a concise smile, to show that she appreciated being considered as a companion. Sure, Iris wasn't really one to accept relationships so easily, however seeing that she was responsible for the oddly dressed student's distress, she had to compensate. The least she could do was say that they were companions after all the girl had done in an attempt to make amends.
She bowed her head politely to the young man then once he introduced himself, feeling uplifted and less intimidated by socialization due to the jubilant atmosphere and the realization that she could view the earth just as he had. She greeted him as she would any other stranger, with an overly formal manner, "Y-Yes, S-Silas s-sir.." As Silas spoke, she noticed that a soothing, tranquil baby blue flitted over the gray of his body, categorizing him as a much more likable individual in Iris' subconsciousness. "I-Ill... I-Illus-sions.. I-I've missed th-these colors... Th-They are b-beautiful," the shy girl whispered, stepping forward and gazing fondly down at the red roses as a single tear cascaded down her cheek. She'd turned that side of her face away from the duo, however, as she'd done so. Even though the sight of colors had brought her an intense feeling of euphoria, she still habitually trembled and stuttered over her words, for that issue wouldn't be resolved for quite some time. Something about the way the interestingly clad female beside her seemed darker, despite her neon-green cheeriness, revealing darker, depressed, navy blue undertones to her seemingly joyous disposition. Iris' brows knitted together in a fleeting moment of concern, however she stopped, unsure if it was her place to even request the well-being of her.. 'Friend'. Instead, she only permitted her expression to lift considerably with the continuation of the wonderful scenery with various wildlife, beaming brightly as she absorbed the gorgeous image.

Sandrine nodded once, in a concise show of agreement with what Silas said. He had the power to make illusions, just as she had suspected. "Yes, that makes sense.." She said, then smiling slightly and opening her eyes to look at Silas. She hardly noticed the change around her, not really bothering to pay much attention to it, more interested in Silas than his illusions. "So, Silas... What brings you out here at this time of night? And better yet, will you be my friend?" She asked, wondering in the back of here head whether she should give a bit of exposition to what her powers were or not. She decided that, for now, she could wait on such things, and just went on smiling sweetly, occasionally glancing at Iris.
The smile that Iris had offered Sandrine cheered her up quite a bit, but she was still a bit wounded on the inside. That would go away in no time, though, as she forgave and forgot with shocking ease. It was almost to the point of being a character flaw of hers, sometimes; she could easily forgive someone for almost any transgression, and what Iris had done was even completely understandable, so Sandrine wouldn't be upset with her decision, just a bit disappointed. For a moment, Sandrine just watched as Iris walked over to admire the flowers, not wanting to rob her of her moment of happiness. Then, a thought popped into her head, and being a bit spazzy, she couldn't help but ask, "Hang on, I never actually caught your name, miss... What is it, anyway? And what's your power, I wonder?" She asked, then smacked herself on the forehead lightly and stuck her tongue out, realizing she was being rude. "Wait, sorry. I'll give you my name first. It's Sandrine, nice to meet you. And you, too, Silas!~" As she added that last bit in, she turned her attention to Silas again, offering him a hug just as she had done for Iris. She still didn't expect to get one, but she did so enjoy hugs, so it sorta became her version of a handshake after a while, even though she realized not alot of people were even comfortable with it.

Silas listened and watched a tear rolled down her cheek, he lifted his hand instinctively to wipe it away but she turned away. He dropped his hand back down and realized that had been something he had only done for his twin sister when she was upset about something. Silas would always brush away her tears and tell her that things would get better in the end, and if they didn't that it obliviously still wasn't over yet. He wondered if this socialization with actual human beings was making him act like a normal person.
He dropped his gaze and burned holes into the top of his shoes, not really sure what to say next. But when the colorful girl walked up to him for a hug, he didn't really do anything. Knowing it would be rude to move away and possibly make her sadder than she already was, he didn't back off. But the embrace was awkward, making it even worse he patted her back before pulling away. He stuffed his thumb into his pocket, looked up at the stars and out watched his breath roll away. "So, Silas... What brings you out here at this time of night? And better yet, will you be my friend?" He looked at the strange girl and blinked a few times. He shrugged, "I just wanted to go out for a nice walk with the stars out." Silas looked at the girl for a moment before saying that he would be a friend of hers.
Silas pulled on a weak smile before he walked around the two and headed towards a bench. He slowly turned and fell back onto the bench, crossing his legs and looking at them. "Now what are you two doing out here? I thought that most of the ladies had gone to the ball, what kept you away?"

For some reason, out of the corner of her eye, Iris spotted Silas' hand dart forth towards her face, yet he'd retracted it almost immediately afterwards. She only decided to dwell upon the bizarre action for a moment, before turning back towards him, nodding in earnest at his words, "A-A walk i-is l-lovely.." . It was extremely uncommon for her to be so willing to socialize, but it was almost impossible given the positive emotions surging through her veins with such colors. Emotion bubbled up within her, an almost detached and dream-like sensation tingling over her body.
At Sandrine's request for her name, Iris felt her social anxiety begin to return, for both of those questions were usually asked during a point where she had difficulty speaking coherently, "I-Iris F-Frost... A-And.. I-I.. E-Energy, you s-see.." Briefly, she lifted up her hands, using the expelled energy invisibly surrounding the group to conjure some lilac energy in her palms. It rippled and pulsated within the cups of her hands now, almost mirroring a water-like state. However, she grew uncomfortable with the amount of attention she'd expect it to bring, and thus dissipated it after a few, brief moments as she turned her palms downwards. Her eyes searched the floor in an attempt to direct her gaze at something other than the duo's faces, preferring not to make eye contact after having demonstrated her abilities. Iris had to be wary when displaying it for others, due to its potential to be lethal.
For a few moments, Iris continued to remain quieted, simply staring with awe at the images around her. It was almost unbelievable to view something that had been stolen from her by the cursed powers, and it recalled fuzzy images of her colorful, adoring parents into her mind. Walking beside the bench Silas had established himself at to further gaze at the trees, she perked up at the mention of a ball. Elegant dances usually required tolerance for crowded, social gatherings and a date, which she had neither. Iris shuffled her feet nervously then, wondering if it was wrong not to attend. "I-I.. I-I w-wasn't invited, a-and... I-I dislike large s-social g-gatherings... S-Sorry," she murmured, guilt welling up in her chest. Of course, she had no reason to apologize, but she was completely unaware of that fact. Trying to distract herself yet again, she fixated her livid, green eyes upon the beauteous scenery.

Sandrine smiled softly at the awkward hug, giggling again as she felt his hand patting her back. She loved how awkward the boy seemed to be acting, it was really cute. She suspected that if she liked guys, he would definitely be one of them. Then, tilting her head, she looked at the boy. She accepted his reason for being out, that wasn't the problem. He had walked over to the bench and sat down, saying something about a ball. She had heard nothing of it all day, or at least she hadn't paid any attention to it when she did hear. "Ball? There was... I didn't know." She said, seeming very sad for a moment, thinking that it was too late to go now. She frowned and looked down, shuffling her feet. Soon, though, she shook her head and looked up again, immediately back to being super happy and bouncy and full of life, showing off just how good at hiding what she was feeling she actually was. "Well, whatever. If I'd gone, I wouldn't have met you two, and besides it's not like I would have enjoyed myself there, anyway. I've never even been to one."
She looked at Iris now as she gave her name, smiling at her sweetly and listening close, deciding to memorize the name so she wouldn't accidentally forget it, as she had a habit of doing. 'Iris Frost'. It was a pretty name. Then, when she said her power had to do with energy, Sandrine got really excited, as her powers were also energy-based. She clapped happily at the little display that Iris gave, biting her lip a bit as she did so. "Wow, that's so cool!~ The energy is really pretty. My power's kinda similar, except it's not as pretty, you know?" She said, giggling softly as she walked over to the bench that the boy, Silas, was sitting on. She stood next to him, gesturing for Iris to come over and have a seat or something. "Let's see... If I were to explain my powers... Well, it's kinda like I can absorb all the kinetic energy out of something, so if someone tried to hit me I could make it not even impact, sorta. Or, if I was about to hit something, I could do the same thing. Then I can do stuff like this..." Sandrine said, kicking at the ground with what seemed like alot of force repeatedly. Strangely, though, the kicks made no sound at all, and didn't even leave a footprint in the snow.
Having gathered a significant enough amount of energy, now, she closed her eyes for a moment and pictured a large, soft bed with blankets and everything. It took quite a bit for her to focus on such specifics, but she was trying to show off, so she went the extra mile. Soon, she opened her eyes and held up her hand, creating a bed, with pillows and blankets, right there in the middle of the walkway. It was pure white and radiating light, not enough to be blinding but enough to light up the area a little bit more. She then sat down in the bed and giggled, holding up a peace sign with both hands and sticking her tongue out. "There!~ I can also shoot blasts of energy, like in comics, but this is my favorite. I can make solid things out of energy I absorb~" She said, happy she was able to generate such a specific construct, but in truth she was quite exhausted from it. Not in the can't-keep-walking sense, but more in the can't-use-her-power-again-for-a-bit sense, due to the over-exertion.

Silas crossed his legs as he watched Iris show her powers, he was enchanted and wanted to ask her to do it again once she turned her hands down. But he held himself back, she seemed the type to hate being the center of attention. His eyes lingered on her before they fell to Sandrine as she happily showed her kinetic abilities. Silas leaned forward as she jumped up and down without breaking snow. He looked up at her face and saw her smiling as she did so, and then the bed appeared. Silas uncrossed his legs and poked at the bed with the toe of his shoe, wondering if it was more illusion than real but he was taken a bit back when it was really there.
Silas sat back again as Sandrine plopped down onto the bed. He looked back at Iris and realized just how different the two girls were. Sandrine was one to put herself out there and seemed like she would do it even if she was to be rejected. But Iris was so shy, other than when it came to the illusion he had made she really hadn't spoken up or raised her voice. He suddenly wanted to know her story, just because he had been so reserved back at home and never knew what people with abilities were like.
Just as Silas was about to comment on the bed that she had made, he realized that his illusion would be fading soon. He swiftly turned his head to Iris, "What do you want to see the most, I can make mostly anything appear as long as I can imagine it." He waited to see her reaction, wondering what she would want to see him make. And as he awaited her reply, he could feel the illusion falling away. The red roses disappeared and the crumbling ones were visible again, the animals he had imagined were gone and the color in the garden had died with the summer weather.

A slight flush fell over Iris' face as she received the compliments from Sandrine, nodding earnestly and wanting to return the compliment, but she was prevented from speaking as the spectacular scene unfurled before her. A bed and pillow consisting of the bright, luminescent energy had been conjured, even solidifying in front of her eyes. She was entranced by the beauteous display, beaming softly and murmuring, "Th-That is w-wonderful, S-Sandrine.. F-Far superior t-to.. T-To mine." She reached out her slightly bloodied fingers to brush ever so slightly against it, however paused as she recalled the scarlet liquid staining her fingertips, snatching her hand back instantaneously. Iris didn't want to taint anything with her blood, especially something as beautiful as that.
It was at this point that she noticed the illusion begin to deteriorate, the greys and monotones beginning to seep into the image. She stepped forward then, holding one of the few, colored roses that remained with wistfulness. Oh how she adored the hues, the joy and pleasure it brought her... However, she turned around as Silas urgently offered his abilities one last time, but a shake of her head was all he was met with. "Y-You've done m-more than e-enough a-already, that's a-all I need, s-sir.. Th-Thank you, from th-the bottom o-of my heart," the girl said softly, stepping towards him with genuine jubilee and gratitude flaring within her eyes, despite her shaky voice. She meant every word she'd said, nodding politely to him out of respect, "D-Don't p-place stress u-upon yourself t-to p-please me, I-I'm all r-right. Th-This was b-beautiful." Offering him yet another, short-lived grin, she positioned herself so that she stood between the two now, feeling a bit more at peace as the colors continued to fade away. It was just going to return to how it'd been before was all. The boy's colors gained a tranquil and earnest royal blue to his hues, whilst Sandrine maintained her brighter, neon hues with underlying, somber tones.
