Rosemary sighed as she walked to the letterbox and slipped in her cream envelope with her parent's address written on it in an emerald green ink. She had meant to write her folks a letter for a couple of weeks now but didn't really find the time to do so until today.
Now that her promise was at last fulfilled, Rose walked around the Market to pick up some things for school until her eye spotted the local newspaper so feeling intrigued she paid for one before hobbling over to a bench and started to read it, her face falling gravely. "By the First Headmaster Kandless!"

The science lab was losing its usefulness to Margaret, she needed better equipment and chemicals that the classroom couldn’t supply. The market was the only other place that she could think of on this island that could provide with these. She was wearing her normal attire as usual, excluding the goggles as that would be useless to her at the moment and its one less thing on her body that she would have to turn invisible. Her lab coat will come in handy though, when she finds a store with items she required she’ll have big enough pockets for them.
She was side tracked before she entered a building as she noticed someone who looked quite familiar. It was the girl from her dorm room from the other day ‘hm, it seems I will have to postpone’ she thought ‘if this possible cousin of mine is still lurking around this school I must learn why’. She put on a slight smile, not one too big though and tried out her acting skills once again as she walked towards Rose.
Once she reached the bench, she didn’t know how exactly to get her attention without it seeming a bit awkward as the last time they met they didn’t exactly get along too well. She was a bit startled by her sudden exclamation and spoke “something wrong?” she asked with her voice sounding concerned.

Rosemary sharply looked up and saw Margaret beside her, "Have you seen what the newspapers have been saying about us gifted?" She asked as she handed the paper. "They're blaming us for things that may not even have us involved at all! It is completely ridiculous that we should be blamed!" She exclaimed with a mighty sigh as she stood up gingerly.
"It is completely uncouth and stereotypical of those who don't understand us!" She stated with a firm growl as she curled her fingers into a fist before resting it against her chin whilst using her other hand to wrap her cloak slightly tighter about her person, feeling the start of the Autumn chill.

Margaret was never referred to as a gifted person, then again she never really interacted with too many people since she got her powers. She doesn’t even refer to herself as one of them either because she doesn’t see her powers as a gift considering that she was given them against her own will and it is potentially killing her. She looked down at the paper she was given and didn’t bother reading it, but made it seem like she did since she doesn’t really want to concern herself with it.
This subject reminded her a lot about her father, but her father was on the other side the fence, she didn’t care much for her father’s rants though. “yes, I used to know someone who was like that” she responded “he was brilliant, but corrupted by his hatred”. "its frightening to see how far one man's hatred will go"

Rosemary nodded, "Mother's probably trying to help us out without giving too much away...." She then sighed as she sat down again gingerly, "Sometimes a man's anger and hatred makes them use a talent that they have.... To do terrible and harmful things to our world and us, it's people!"
She sighed heavily as she threaded her fingers through her hair, "But what it is we can do? Nothing! We have to stay in school like good little students to control our powers!" She stated.

Margaret took a seat beside Rosemary and placed the newspaper on her lap. She didn’t usually care much for common chit-chat with other people, but she needed to ease her way into getting the information she wanted. “indeed, he had some quite insane ambitions” she replied “to the point he tried to wipe out all gifted people completely”. The more she thought of her father the more she remembered how much she despised him.
Margaret liked Rose’s anger towards this subject because that’s the easiest emotion she can relate to. “Do we need to do anything?” she questioned “because we don’t need to concern ourselves with the likes of them” “I don’t anyway”. She felt odd being the voice of reason for once.

Rosemary smiled, "One of my uncle's is trying to figure out whether we 'gifted' have a specific gene that gives us our individual powers or not.... Mind it doesn't help that he's almost a stereotypical Astro-Physicist..... He's driving one of my other Uncles, a doctor, completely insane!" She chuckled. "I doubt that the gifted will ever truly be wiped out.... There's... Always something that just brings us back from the brink of extinction... It's strange..."
Rosemary then turned to Margaret, "We can prove our innocence! Show the 'normal' world that not all gifted are evil or even bad.... Just misunderstood..." She sighed, "Once the world goes through with some obvious people to blame... They'll attack Foresta and then all of this..." She waved around the village and towards the school. "All of it will go! Our sanctuary... Gone! Gone to dust... And mere besmirched memory!" She stated with a passion.

Margaret’s attention drifted off a bit when Rosemary spoke of her uncles, considering she didn’t have much interest in her. She joined her in the chuckle to seem like she did pay attention. “Well, hopefully he’ll find the information he’s looking for” she replied in a voice that lacked any sort of enthusiasm. “that maybe true, but the fact still stands that he’ll attempt to”
She didn’t think much of Rose’s speech as she could care less about this place, it’s only a temporary hideout until cures herself of her powers. “The only real reason ‘normal’ humans hate us is that the weak minded always need someone to blame” she said “it might not be fair, but that’s how the world works”. “if they did find this place destroying it won’t be easy”

Rosemary furrowed her brows at Margaret as she listened to her, an occasional hum vibrating in her voice until she stood up and turned towards Margaret in a confidant stance before stating. "What do you want from me?"
She had had a feeling that Margaret was only playing along with her talking in order to get something from her. "What are you really doing here?" She noticed this when she saw Margaret had only slightly read the paper and there was no enthusiasm in her voice so now Rose questioned her motives and what she wanted.

Margaret was surprised by how quickly Rosemary caught on to what she was up to, she wanted to keep her real intentions to herself. She did not get out of her seat just yet and looked up at Rose as she thought up something else to tell her. “I don’t want anything” she answered “I just thought that we didn’t exactly get off to the right start”.
She finally got up and faced towards Rose, also she let the newspaper fall to the ground unintentionally. She was a bit nervous as she never got caught before, that she knows of any way. She tried to keep a straight face though because if she got caught now she might not get the information she wanted.

Rosemary grinned slightly at Margaret's reaction as she raised a silent eyebrow in answer to Margaret. "In order to get along with me.... You must tell the truth, otherwise I get slightly paranoid and untrusting....." She stated before adding, "So tell me.... Really.... What do you want? What are you doing here at Foresta?"
She loved it at how she remembered her mother's lessons of how to know the truth from a lie so it was a skill that she made sure that she honed to perfection before she came to Foresta those few but memorable weeks ago. How innocent and unknowing she was back then..... Find by technicality... She still was.

Margaret was a bit stunned by Rosemary’s response because lying to her now would only make things worse and she had no intentions to tell her the truth. There was no choice as of now though, she wanted to know who the other Miller was and the easiest way was through Rose. She finally gave in “fine then, I came to you to find out who the Miller person you said a couple of days ago was” she said in a quite unhappy tone.
Margaret didn’t feel it to be necessary to answer why she was at the academy as she already admitted one thing. “why you might ask because my last name is Miller as well and I want to know if he or she might be related to me” she continued “it doesn’t matter to you why I need to know, it only matters to me” “so I would like an answer”.

Rosemary sighed, she had a feeling that eventually Margaret would have brought this up again at some point but mentally kicked herself for the fact that she brought this upon herself. "I don't know much about him... Just that he calls himself Miller and keeps to himself..... That is all I know." She answered with ease, not at all giving away any signs of how she felt for him or the discussions they had.
Let alone what he had told her of how he came to be and what he was supposed to be, though she hoped that she helped him begin to accept who he was now, and not then.

Margaret was a bit suspicious about Rosemary’s answer not knowing whether she was telling the truth or hiding something from her for some odd reason. She didn’t believe that that was all she knew, but she knew that was all she would be able to get out of her. “Well then, could you tell me where he would usually be, so I can find him?” she asked “since you can’t tell me anything”.
Her interest in Miller is because she thinks her father’s been messing around with her other relatives giving them the same powers as her. She bent down to pick up the newspaper and handed it over to Rose “if you see him any time soon, let me know” she added.

Rosemary hummed as she thought, "Well.... I heard his dormitory is Emerald and he likes to walk around the school a lot... Other than that unfortunately.... I really can't help I'm afraid!" She answered with a shrug at the end to help strengthen her act and her innocence of the matter at hand. "Oh... Wait.... Now that you mention it... He does hang around the Library a little bit... Now that I think about it!" She added.
Rose then nodded as she accepted the newspaper back."Of course I will..... And... Uhhh... I apologise for my mannerisms the other day... She admitted, now earnest in her voice and body language. "When we first met? I uh..... Wasn't in the best of moods but it doesn't excuse my behaviour.... I'm sorry..." She stated as she held out her hand to shake it, hoping they would at least become acquaintances, they'd best to seen as they share dorms.
